My sister had a wedding there this past weekend.the food was yammy.nice staff. I feel like they did a great job.

Nice hall, good service, although it would be nice to see serving staff in uniforms rather than random t-shirts and jeans during a wedding reception

Overall ok, food good, staff nice, bar good, no help lowering sound from other side, undergoing renovations so all amenities not available, some bathroom doors not working. I feel our questions to issues were ignored.

Food quality and selection was sub-par at best. Main hall was pretty nice. Bathrooms were completely disgusting dirty and so gross. Will never go there again.

We had our wedding there and had a really bad experience!
I had discussed the menu months in advance, yet they called me 3 days before the wedding to ask the menu! They told us they will add live station and then they didnot
We had chicken biryani for menu, and they had served veggie
ice-cream was frozen and no one could eat it, one other food item was missing
We had told them to keep 2 plates for bride and groom as we didn't have food, yet they did not. Not professional at all!

I had a family reception at The Royal Palace. The hall itself is good for Edmonton standards.however the food quality was very poor and tasteless. The buffet servers was too small compared to the size of the hall.

The place itself is very large, the decor is nice and the place feels spacious. The food was amazing and was served on time and orginized well. The staff was kind and very active. The place was clean and the audio equipment was good. The location is decent however you may have to park on the road because the parking lot fills up fast.

Was there for a work event, it is a wonderful space. The staff was awesome and kind. The food was really good and flavorful. I would recommend this place for an event or a wedding

Female Ladies Washroom facility not checked ran out of Toilet paper. Coffee only served.
No Tea Option.

It was a marriage party, service and food was good. Arrangements were very good. Very wide hall and balconies were looking very nice. Lightingng and sound systems are very good.

I usually do not write reviews, however, I feel that I need to share my experience with The Royal Palace. I had my wedding there 2 weeks ago.
The day of was great, food was delicious, and everyone had a great time.

The days leading up to the big day was a complete nightmare. The girl I was mostly dealing with was Sonika. Everytime we arranged for a meeting, she either did not show up or was 30-45min late. This happened on multiple occasions. I voiced out how unprofessional it was, she apologized, and STILL NO SHOWED THE NEXT TIME WE ARRANGED A MEETING! I ensured to confirm our meeting time on the day as well. We live about 30 min away from the venue, so to waste about an hour of our time and gas is not okay. She has caused so much stress that planning my wedding became such a hassle, all because of this venue.

Other reviews are correct, they do not care about customer service, nor about their clients. This is before the most unprofessional, uncaring business I've ever encountered. Being pregnant, and planning a wedding is already stressful enough, but add on this experience.definitely not worth it. If I were able to get my deposit back, and had enough time to switch venues, I would have.

A friend of mine did her wedding in this place. I usually don’t write a bad review but this place it needs to warn people of their customer service is the worse, they have zero care! Rude and they only want your money they even don’t provide basic needs for their customers. You keep asking and ignore you just be aware how bad they are!

My wife and I booked The Royal Palace for our wedding to accommodate our 600+ guest list. The place is spacious and met all of our needs so we signed a contract with the owners. However.my wife and I are not ones to write negative reviews about anyone. But given the circumstances, The Royal Palace caused too much stress and worry for us and we don't want others to undergo the same experience. So this is our honest opinion.

1. We were promised certain decorations and center pieces which we never saw. (Shipment delays supposedly)
2. They were undergoing renovations so we were uncertain of when they would finish. (They finished a month before our initial wedding date, when orignally they said it would be done months in advance).
3. Covid happened and our wedding date had to be postponed. Additionally, this meant a delay on the promised items.
4. It was nearly impossible to get a hold of the owners and there was minimal.communication on their part (except when it came to us giving a deposit)!
5. We gave the initial deposit and some as per contract but we were unable to have the reception as Covid limited large gatherings.
6. The options we were presented with were either to postpone the date again or use the current deposit towards food (catering).
7. A new contract was signed and we got the food for our reduced number of guests. The cost was taken out of the deposit we initially gave.
8. We were owed the remaining deposit which we did not receive till 4 months after the wedding.
9. My wife had to go back and forth with them and they keep "promising" to pay the next day or next week. (Once again with poor communication)
10. We got the money but not in full. We were owed roughly $2,018, but they sent us a flat $2000. We're not stingy people but if the roles were reversed, we're sure they would make a big deal out of it.

The list can go on but we're too annoyed to write them all.

We are giving them 2 stars because we must give credit where it's due:
1. The hall is beautiful.
2. Renovations made the hall look better than when we initially saw it.
3. The people are nice, just difficult to communicate with.
4. The food was delicious and well packed per individual. We were very well pleased with it, as were the guests we gave it to.
5. They accommodated with our needs especially since Covid stood as a road block.

In the future, we will not be hosting an event here if it is under the same management. As said before, the people are nice but you made this process too difficult. Your food is delicious but it is not worth the hassle. Lastly, they did not follow what we agreed to in our cotract and that means legal matters, but my wife and I are exhausted and too annoyed to continue dealing with them. In the end, we are very glad Covid canceled our reception and we did not have to further deal with this stress.

Would recommend to anyone looking to do a wedding or birthday. They are exceptional and the food is something people are still bringing up 2 months later.

The nicest large banquet hall in my opinion. Food is even better. Love the LED lights inside. It's also newly renovated.

My wife and I had our wedding here this month and I am beyond words for the excellent service and support the royal palace provided us. They were quick to respond to all our inquiry’s, and made us feel comfortable reaching out with any questions we had. They have a BEAUTIFUL venue on the inside and provided all the decorations without any additional costs! The food they provided, I must say, was one of the best meals I have ever had! They did everything they could to make our day special, and I am so happy we went with this venue. We had a gentlemen named Akash helping us out with the whole process with this venue and he went above and beyond to make our big day that much more perfect.

I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a venue/decorations/food on a budget. I look forward to going back to this venue for any future wedding and/or events!

We had a Party today. Wonderful Place. Food is very Tasty. Excellent Guests Service. Owner of the Banquet is extremely Cooperative. Our Guests said that they have never experienced such a wonderful professionally organized setup and tasty food.

I went here for a community gathering! The venue can hold around 800+ people with a space for a dance floor. The layout is cute as well. People can go on the balcony upstairs.

Fantastic venue to host parties and weddings! There's a vast amount of space and they've got very a very nice performance area available. Food was fantastic as well! Lots of parking available outside. Definitely come here if you want to have Indian food catered at your wedding.

I attended a Christmas concert last Saturday in this location and it was my first time. I was excited because the name of the place sounds elegant and beautiful “The Royal Palace”. The front of the building looks regular, the hall way is so plain when I entered the building. But I said it’s fine. Told myself that let me see the inside and their service. The only thing I liked was the stairs at the middle part of the hall but the rest looks very regular, nothing is special. Chairs are very cheap, table cloth was so plain, and table napkin looks like a rag (I bet staff know nothing about napkin foldings). Walked around the hall and kitchen doors were open and it was so disgusting, the floor was wet, it was so dirty. Someone told me that the banquet staff didn’t prepare the things needed for the tables (they didn’t polished the water glass and cutleries). It is banquet’s responsibility to provide these kind of stuff needed for whatever event they have. Went to the ladies washroom and no toilet paper. When the buffet started, just half of the guests got their food, they told us they don’t have plates left and they gave us a saucer. Alot of people was asking for chairs and this one staff told them that they don’t have extra chairs so we have to order it (there were only 750 or 800 seats, but the management said that the capacity is 1 thousand). Banquet servers looks unprofessional with their clothes (shirt and jeans) when they know that the event was a formal event. Customer service was very poor, nobody was checking the tables. I’ve been to so many banquets and hotels and this banquet is the worst. Alot of people are extremely disappointed.

I cannot tell you how many visitors I had and said this is the best party yet ever, and I want to THANK YOU for the outstanding service and food quality that you provided us, all foods are taste amazing!
