Visited this place Thursday at around 5pm. A great selection with good prices, but the lady working in the front had very poor customer service skills. She just stared at me instead of letting me know that a customer was coming back to pay when i was unsure if she was helping a customer. When I finally got up to pay for my item, she was not very friendly at all and just handed me my receipt and change and took off and didn't seem to care that there were other customers coming. The employees here need to be trained properly on good customer service skills.
This used to be my favourite thrift store where my husband and I would visit every week, but the prices have gone up so much, we rarely go anymore. Sad to ask so much for used things!
Love spending money on products that don't work I find it so funny that they would sell Christmas lights with out testing them to make sure they work when called to complain they don't do refunds and they don't do exchanges total scam to me they told me they mark on it that it's not work and lower the price but they did not so now I have juvk lights that don't work all cause they did not test it before putting them out for sale I would not recommend this place
Went to this store today. Put my bag down beside me, like white on rice a staff came to tell me I had to pick it up. I did. Ok. I found a jacket I liked and tried it on over my sweater. A second staff came to me and YELLED at me to stop take the jacket off. I asked why and she said because of covid and by me having the jacket on my body would make the staff sick. I said how is it different than me holding the jacket in the first place.she became very upset and YELLED that I should stop ignoring her. I told her I was not ignoring her, I had taken the jacket off and was about to leave and pay anyways. I am not accustomed to be screamed at in thriftstores, and confrontation takes me days to wind down from. I am devastated at how this made me feel. I thrift to destress and be left alone. I was hurting Noone.
Most prices are higher than dollar stores.for used items.some are useless that should have gone to recycling, not for sale.shame.people that visit their stores are also people that contribute by donations.
Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service and employees yelled at me, I went to DONATE a recliner chair that I had called to confirm PRIOR to arriving, when I arrived the employee yelled at me and threw a fit like I had done something wrong? Exceptionally Garbage employee and I hope he gets fired for the way he acted, had the worst customer-employee interaction I have ever had in my life for absolutely no reason.
(Edit: I’ve read other reviews and all they do is copy and paste the same message to every negative review, seems like they don’t even care enough to fix the problem)
Great thrift store with decent prices. However, I'm taking 2 stars off because they closed their change rooms. In a thrift store, one NEEDS to be able to try clothes on!
Today I had a very bad experience from a Guy in this store - Name on the Receipt was Peter. He was rude! Hope the management looks into this. Just remember shopping thrift does not mean begging but being smart!
Again if you want to know about second hand stores this is one of the most organized professionally run thrift stores I have personally seen in years the staff is honestly a 10 or 10 check it out if you want a really good deal on something we all need a good deal
Donations are insanely limited. The list of stuff they wouldn’t take was longer than the list they would. Would not accept any cook books, coffee table books, (only wanted story books), stuffed animals, tiny book shelf, shoe rack, pillows. I am moving & down sizing and this was the second truck load of good quality, well sorted stuff I donated to the second Salvation Army location in the Calgary area because I believe they actually help. My third trip will be to Value Village, I don’t believe in their charity work but they don’t make me feel like I’m inconveniencing everyone, including myself by making the donation. Oh and they didn’t give me (or the two other people donating at the same time) a coupon.
Manager is rude. I been here so many times. I loved this place before. Until I bought one drawing toy for my son. But it’s dry out.not work at all. The associate is nice but said the policy for exchange is gone. I feel confused. She bring the manager look like 40years guy. He was so rude. I said hi and how r you. He look so angry and doesn’t look at me at all.and open toy and tried. After he checked it’s not work. He said I can not exchange to others.only cloth can. But nobody tell me! Disappointed! I be told can exchange within 7days with receipt. It’s my first time wanna use exchange policy. But totally disappointed.
If you know where the deals are then you can really score. However, keep in mind that in recent years they've started to increase prices on things they know people want to score. This is to be expected but it can be frustrating. Also, keep in mind that of all the thrift stores around Salvation Army requires you to sift through the most junk. That's just my opinion but yah.
This is a reasonably good location. It's not as stocked as Calgary locations but it doesn't get picked over as fast either.
Thrift shops have really got expensive. It is at almost the same price if I bought it new retail. I thought thrift shops are non profit and are to help those whom could not otherwise afford it. Too bad I quit buying from thrift shops and buy mostly new now.
Most items are SO over priced. If an item has a tag because it's new and its $20, they price it at $15. Some people that work there are very friendly. Very clean. Be prepared to find nice items but pay more.
Lots of selection on quality gently used items worth a look if your in need of something anything of it's not there today it will more than likely be there tomorrow or the next day a little more than garage sales but you dont usually find exactly what your looking for there either check it out big sale on Saturday
I really like the price for items in there. This one doesn't have high priced items. Just because of brand name! A lot of clothing and accessories (right now. Halloween costumes) are brand new still have store tags on them! Was amazed at how big the store actually was inside. And was surprised with another discount at the till! Bonus in my eyes!
