The Salvation Army Thrift Store

Very over priced and disorganized. Too many broken, chipped, and cracked items on the shelf.

Just left the store. I was the only indigenous person in the store and the security made sure to follow only me. SICKENING! Never had this happen to me before at this location until now. PREJUDICE!

I've been to several of these stores and I like how tidy this one is compared to many in the city. The clothes section can be a bit hit and miss but the housewares section is pretty well organized although the aisles can get crowded. I've noticed the price increases lately too, and I find the security guard at the front a bit off-putting.

Salvation army has gone down hill a lot. Nearly full price for clothing. Can get it cheaper at the main retail stores when it's on sale. Big disappointment.

Whats this world coming to? This place would NOT give me a item because i was 3 pennys short! Wow unbelievable.and donate lots of money to tbis organization! Not anymore, have a nice day

Very rude service from the 2 people I interacted with. Make sure to check your items before you leave the store with em', cause you cant make refunds for some reason.

Not to mention they make fun of you for it too.

HIRE A COMPETENT MANAGER TO RUN THE STORE.
You are literally selling broken guitars for more than a new guitar. THEY ARENT RARE OR VALUABLE.
The person running this store is unqualified and literally just puts up crazy prices and hopes people will pay the prices.
There is a ps3 in the showcase thats been there for 3 months.
This store is a complete joke and the fact that this person is getting paid to run this store so poorly is hysterical.

Store is heavily overpriced. Theres items in the showcase that have been there for 5 months now. They openly sell fake designer goods which is illegal to do in a store front. They sell used goods at basically Ebay prices. Very laughable "thrift store".

Decent thrift store. Smaller selection, but the clean and friendly staff make it a great shopping experience!

Not very impressed with this individual store. Went to purchase an old DVD player for $12.99 and when I got to the counter the lady was not very welcoming and informed me this would be a final sale regardless if it worked or not. To a surprise at her response that they would not exchange for a working one if that one was faulty and they don't test them I simply stated thank you and have a wonderful day and handed it back to her. Super dissapointed that they would not guarantee it to work and atleast if not have some sort of exchange policy in place. This place was super run down with overpriced items throughout store.

Manager has no idea what she's doing. Very clearly needs new management.
They have had the same overpriced toys and "collectibles" in the showcase for months. Apparently in this "thrift store" you pay Ebay prices or above Ebay prices.
Store desperately needs new management.
People regularly talk about how unshoppable this store is. Most regular thrift goers won't even waste there time coming here as thats exactly what coming to this store is, a waste of time.
Embarrassing management.

A lot of good items specially purses, artwork, lamps, glasses, jars Etc are great. Some of the clothes and jackets are worth exploring as few are actually new. The staff is very helpful and can provide you with a cardboard box if you do not have a bag, for free.
But in general Salvation Army needs more donation from people as they are in shortage of good quality stuff in good conditions. Some of the prices need to be lowered so that items can be bought easily, for example plastic tupperware should be very cheap because there's no point in buying it at Salvation Army if similar or even lower prize is available at a store or online.

Whoever prices the items in the display cases is on crack, ridiculously overpriced.some items cost more than they did new

Went in because books and media were on sale but was informed that any media that was in the front case was not and would never be on sale. No other salvation army locations have this practice and will not shop from this location in the future.

Excellent, helpful and friendly service. I had items to donate and was unsure where to take them onsite. I called and the attendant was friendly provided me with all the information needed. Onsite one of the employees came to assist us with taking the items from my vehicle to the drop-off point. Thank you’

MOST AWEFUL STORE! WORST STORE IVE EVER SHOPPED AT! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SKILLS, BOUGHT SUNGLASSES THE CLERK SAID KEEP TAG TO RETURN/REFUND. THEY STARTED TO STRAIN MY EYES SO I TOOK THEM BACK TO RETURN I WAS AMBUSHED BY THE MANAGER! I PLEADED MY CASE ONLY 2 DAYS AGO BOUGHT, EVEN RETURNED IN BETTER CONDITION BY CLEANING THEM! NO TOO BAD CALL GUEST SERVICES ONLY TO GET A ANSWERING MACHINE! GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK THX!

This location has been open for 20 min now, but the doors are still locked. Staff are inside looking at customers outside but no one is answering the phone or opening the door.

Calgary Salvation Army outlets have proven consistent with their friendly and helpful staff, organized inventory and always very clean, as well as accessibility. Excellent prices genuinely met to support our community!

It's good to get some great deals depend the day you visit the store. Very supportive and prices are fair enough.

Waiting in line, expecting cashiers to come help at this store is the regular. Not up to par of other thrift stores.

This store gives back to the community more than any other thrift store. Always make them your first choice for donations. And first stop when thrifting.

Upon the recommendation from Books Between Friends, I donated 3 ginormous bags of clothes and five boxes of household goods. The Salvation Army is the place to donate to ad it really goes to charity. For real. Connery was very helpful and super friendly. Made me feel like I was making a difference. Thank you!

I love the Salvation Army to begin with but this one is an OCD person’s dream! Whoever is in charge likes things organized by color and it makes for a very visually pleasing display. It’s great.

Over the years I've bought $ quite a lot of Clothes & Household goods, at S. A. Thrift stores.
I'm grateful that they exist.
I'm impressed by all the work they do to try to help people who are struggling!
I've heard from a few sources that S. A. Executives earn very small $ salaries compared to Exec.with most other Charitable organizations!
I like their small, purse size magazines that contain true life stories.
I've attended concerts of their brass bands, which are impressive and uplifting!
The world should THANK the Salvation Army for all they've done to make our world BETTER!

I found a bunch of clothes for my kids, and some of them are super cute! The young woman at the till was fantastic. I will certainly be back!

Always can find something you didn't know you needed till you find it here. Has fitting rooms and a bathroom in the back. Staff are friendly, nice people. Prices are decent. I find a few things are slightly over priced but others are an amazing deal. Just gotta be in the hunting mod I guess.

Used to be one of my favourite places to shop. The other day my bf walked in and the one staff member followed him around the store. He got so upset he confronted her. I understand that ppl do steal from the store but I've been going their for almost 3 yrs and not once have they treated me or anyone I'm with like this. We always pay for our stuff. I am disappointed because this was like family to me. The staff always were cheerful and curtious.

Excellent selection, quite well organized, clean and bright. Thrift store prices, which is a pleasant surprise. Friendly staff, as well.

I'm all about re-use, reduce and recycle. I just hope I don't end up buying what I had donated.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. Prices are great. I always prefer shopping here to Value Village definitely

Huge selection and unlike Goodwill and Value Village, they actually donate their earnings to task charities, not Trump like ones!

Some good finds. Prices are reasonable for used. Always bringing out new used bargains. If you like thrift store shopping then add this place to your list.
