The Salvation Army Thrift Store

Okay I love this store and I love thrifting at SA but WHO has made the ridiculous decision to hang clothes on their side rather than from the waist band like EVERY Retailer in the world is doing. Please people if you hate it complain. Silence is consent. If you talk to the staff they hate it as well but are told by somebody who clearly is not a shopper and is sitting in an office thinking he has a brilliant idea. Tell me other than the size how does this help? You can’t see if the pants are long, short, wide leg, skinny leg, etc.unless you pull every pair up, they are also hanging shorts this way. Are they short, long, skinny, again you have to pull every garment out and hold it up soooooo time consuming. I have been told this helps the staff I thought this was suppose to be about the customer. PLEASE somebody hear our cry and hang the clothes the normal way from the waist band. I truly believe you are losing sales as people just will not shop pants, skirts, shorts, kids clothes, etc.while hung like this. Sorry for the rant but I’m a passionate thrifter who wants this changed back to normal.

Found this store by accident while on the hunt for a new iron. Always enjoy browsing through Salvation Army thrift stores. Found what I needed: snazzy new to me digital iron in great shape for only $9.99! Total score. Why pay full retail when you can buy from a great place that supports all kinds of programming to suppprt those who need a hand up?

Friendly and accommodating staff. Reasonable pricing. Good selection. Location and parking great.

The staff got upset with us cause we tried on few shirts. I guess they weren’t having it. We bought them anyways. Won’t be returning.

I found quite a few nice pairs of pants today some brand new and the prices were way more reasonable than some of the other thrift shops in the area.

Friendly customer service, well organized space, decent parking in front and a lot of good stuff to peruse despite the small square-footage.

I donated 4 boxes of clothes and kitchen items at the back of the store, oùtside. I then went into the store to look for lounge/sweat pants. I found a pair of new Old Navy lounge pants for myself for $3.99 and a pair of nice warm sweats for my husband for just $9.99. Some self dealing envelopes for $2.99 and some headphones for $ 9.99. With my discount coupon (for a previous donation) I received $10 off and only paid $16.95.

Normally is my first choice thrift store. Not impressed this time. Staff was not very cooperative and one was a bit surely. Prices way above what they have been in the past. Argument about donations. Won't be donating here any more. All in all not the pleasant experience we have come to know. Probably won't go back.

So clean. Lots of lovely items, I had to leave before I wanted to, I'd run out of time. But I'll be back, I promise.

Friendly staff, good selection and an organization that supports the community. A true non-profit without a bloated executive payroll like some other "charity" thrift stores.

I always find something good here. They get new stuff all the time and good quality items. You might just have to hunt a bit.

My RV blew the alternator coming off the highway. No money till payday a week from now. The staff there were fantastic. They set me up with hot homemade meal right on site and had plenty of food and Items for me to help me last the week.

Busy today, found infant winter boots for the grandson and an adorable furry hat. Great price $7.00

One of the better thrift stores. Lots of great merchandise, very friendly staff and lots of little deals such as seniors discounts and first stuffie free. Will keep going back to this store!

GREAT place.buttt it would be nice if the Manager put out more toys and lapel pins (Received a Email about toys being 50 % off a couple of weeks ago.but there is barely any item's put out. THAT also goes for the NORTH Edmonton location.they are really bad for no toys).
I think the MANAGER concentrates too much on the Monthly Auction.
There are 4 Thrift shops in the Sherwood Park area. This one and one other have the best prices! THANK YOU

A good place to repurpose old or unwanted books, puzzles, kitchen items, etc.that are in good condition. They genuinely appreciate such donations which they either sell in their stores, to raise money for their aid programs, or distribute directly to those in need.

The staff are super friendly! Great prices for most things in store! Always looks super stocked!

My favorite thrift store in Sherwood Park, less picked over than Value Village, great book selection and knick nacks, I've always found great furniture here and the staff is very relaxed and friendly, not to mention when you drop things off they are very helpful!

Small and filled with treasures; a recent store reorganization has happened. Looks like the sole t auction is gone-which I will really miss.

Recently stopped in just to check it out and was shocked to see the prices on many things so high, being it's a thrift store. Why pay the same price for something that was used, when you can literally buy it brand new elsewhere?
