The Saskatoon Farm

A must go for a good homemade breakfast or lunch.
We are going at least twice a month with family and guests.
Higley recommends in any season.

We have been to The Saskatoon Farm many times for lunch and dinner. The food has always been good but the service is quite slow, so ensure you plan to have a long lunch! The staff are super friendly so it’s no big deal. They have a lot of neat things to look at too!

I LOVE the Saskatoon Farm for anytime of the year. If you can get in the restaurant, the food is incredible with awesome service. I love their product and their store, especially at Christmas!
Their Christmas market is the best around. They expanded their space this year which was great. There is such an array of product, space to move around and it was easy entry and parking. Really enjoyed the whole experience!

Visited during the Christmas market. Was like being in a hallmark movie. Loved the roasting marshmallow spots. Even got our pic with Santa and Mrs Claus. Gave me the Christmas spirit.

We just had my wife's Christmas party/dinner there. It was a great venue. Staff were excellent and treated us great. Dinner was excellent. Hope to go there again for another party.

Great spot with lots to look at, even a creep of tortoises! Really enjoyed the Mexican restaurant, highly recommend!

Lovely place with lots of beautiful views and friendly people. Farmers market has wide choice of freshly picked produce, the bakery has lots of amazing pastries.
Kids also loved to watch local animals

Food's nice but not worth the over one hour wait to get a table which happens VERY often.

Loved the experience I had at Saskatoon Farm. It was super busy, so make sure you go around opening time. Fresh produce, carrots, basil, rosemary, golden beets, courgette, you name it, they grow it.
You can go Saskatoon berry picking or enjoy an awesome freshly baked goodies at the cafe. Had a cinnamon roll with Saskatoon berries on top, it was the best cinnamon roll I ever had in my life. Did I say it’s freshly baked
The sourdough bread I purchased is to die for. It was warm when I bought, smell divine.
Kudos to the proprietors of the farm, I saw they were working as hard as other people who worked there.

Great place if you want to buy more natural products, nice interesting design in classic style of well maintained farm. Of the small minuses: the location is far but not critical (you can go on weekends), the assortment is not large (but this can be understood since sales from your own harvest are not unlimited)

How have I lived in the Calgary area for 30 years and have never been to this amazing spot!? ! Had lunch at the restaurant today and it was AMAZING! The chimichanga was the best I've ever had I highly recommend the chocolate cake for dessert (but leave a slice for me!) I will be returning ASAP!

The place is worth visiting and spending a couple if not a few hours. Restaurant vibe was good although coffee wasn’t really good and the food was alright. Many Places to walk around and see different things. Lots of farm produce, although I didn’t get any. Many places for photo ops. Plenty of parking but you will go through some country roads. Roads were good except some drivers seem to be in a hurry, or at least from the time that I went.

Just 20-30 min drive from Calgary you will find this heaven of great products and a fun day.

I had a great experience with the bakery and good coffee. After that we went to the restaurant Saskatoon Tribune and had an amazing brunch with family. Get there early and put your name on the list, there is always a wait but really worth it. The kitchen uses their own products and everything is cooked fresh! I really recommend brunch, their omelette and huevos rancheros were the bomb. Another item that is great on a cold morning is Sopa de Pollo Mexican style chicken soup.

After a festive lunch, head over to the farmers market and walk off the calories you just indulge. You can buy great produce or pick your own, they always have deals and prices are fair. Locals love the blueberry? And fresh vegetables.

Walk the area and at the end of the farm there are great views for pictures. This place is great for a second date with your girlfriend, great for families and kids. One thing I need to mention is that there is no pets allowed. Lots parking as well and we’ll organized location.

Quaint place to walk around outside, and beautiful indoor greenhouse with fruit bearing banana and fig trees. So far, only have gone in summer/fall, but would be great all year round.

Wonderful place for the whole family. We go every weekend, see tortoises (new addition), eat great food and look at rabbits. The kids love it and they don't discriminate here or ask for papers.

Got there at 4: 30, plenty of signage notified that they close promptly at 5: 00 so be aware and plan accordingly. Picked up the fresh vegetables and baked goods I had gone there for and plan on returning when I can explore a lot more.

Well maintained and many varieties of farm grown vegetables for cheaper price.
They are closing at 5 pm. It's mentioned everywhere.

My family at the saskatoon farm, sadly we didnt go when we could pick berried but they had so much going on and so many amazing sights to see that we left more then content, the food is amazing, they sell fresh products at a great price, they arent pet friendly but thats ok because they have a bunch of furry friends to hangout with. I love this place, one of my favourite spots around Calgary

We had a lovely afternoon enjoying all the sights at the farm. It started with excellent parking, beautiful pumpkin displays followed by by the sights of gorgeous plants and animals. The short walk to the spectacular overlook was worth every step.
Our lunch was delicious. Emily, our server, went above and beyond. Unexpectedly, before our lunch was too arrive, suddenly one person at our table needed a few crackers. Emily immediately, upon our request, no questions asked, returned quickly with a few packages of much needed saltines. Thank you Emily.

Beware the 'fall fair' this weekend is $8 per person even children! We have been coming here for years but today was the first time we have ever been asked to pay an admission price to go shop and spend our money there. Very disappointed!

Sadly, I came when they were closed but they let me look around. What a gem. They also mentioned Heartland had been filmed there.
This is quite the place! Food. Flowers. Produce. Cool buildings. Bakery. Restaurant. Store! Wow!

I mentioned to the owner that they could have better signage. The highway sign is clear but the path to the AWESOME Farm, not so much.

I love the Saskatoon farm. Went on the weekend to pick up pickling cucumbers and garlic for my garlic pickles. The quality is fantastic and the price range is definetly fair. I would highly recommend coming here for your canning needs. Such a pretty farm with great produce and shopping. A nice place to go visit on a Sunday afternoon that is not to far from the city.
A friend of mine had a wedding here a few years back as well in the greenhouse and it was absolutley beautiful. The reception was in the restaurant and the food was delicious.

We used to love visiting the Saskatoon Farm, even considered getting married there. Then they started hosting conspiracy group and their live music events. We wont be going back. Giving hate groups a place to host their events is supporting hate.

I’ve visited the farm almost a dozen times over the past few years. It’s such a special place to visit. Even though it’s quite the drive from North Calgary, it’s 100% worth it.

The Buffalo Room is my favourite spot to roam around and shop. I always find something unique to purchase. They have such a cool variety of products and their clothing is one of kind. The girls running the shop are super friendly and accommodating.

The bakery treats are to die for. I always make sure to bring home a treat.

The vegetable stand, green houses, tortoises, chickens, etc.are all fun family-friendly spots to wander through. There’s also cats and dogs chilling around the farm.

The restaurant is amazing. I’ve never had a bad meal here. Even with an hour plus wait, it’s worth staying for. If you’re going at peak time (weekends) make sure to get yourself on the waitlist - they’ll give you a buzzer, and then go walk around the farm and shop while you wait. The Mexican dishes are my favourite. I almost always get the enchiladas and the Saskatoon lemonade. Great service too!

Such a great spot for a short day trip. Saskatoon berries were in full force right now. Highly recommend. Some great little local vendors here as well as the cafe. Definitely would recommend people to come and pick some berries when in season or come to check things out.

I love it here! Beautiful place ️ and let it be known that I only enjoy picking AND eating Saskatoon berries off the tree. I'm not saving those little round nuggets for later.

Incredible little getaway! There’s bunnies, chickens, tortoises, and cats to hang out with, lots of cool shops and places to eat. Amazing view of the valley out back as well

Awesome deal the day we went. Got to fill a bag for $17. Everything was so sweet and fresh. The corn on the cob was my absolute favorite. Highly recommend this beautiful location just outside SW Calgary. Worth the trip and a deal that can't be beat!

I ended up grabbing some maple syrup, Saskatoon berry syrup, tarts and pies for myself and my sister! Great gift shops and good prices for the amazing quality you get!
We managed to snag a couple fresh from the oven pies!

We love the farm! So many beautiful things to look at and fresh produce. We just enjoy it so much. The only thing that is not good is the restaurant. It's beautiful but we just paid $70 for 6 small tasteless dry tacos and not really tasty sandwich with fries. It used to be good but we will not be going there anymore. It's a shame. We will be back for the farm though.

A hidden gem in the Calgary area! If you visit it is a MUST, especially during berry picking season. The staff were all great, the animals were so cute and it’s a surprise they did not have an admission price! You can see tortoises, bunnies, roosters, dogs and cats and they’re all really friendly! The food was a surprise with the Mexican restaurant and the Knick knacks and clothing were very well reasonably priced! There’s so much to do at the farm, plan to be here 3-4 hours!

Went for breakfast with a couple of friends and the food was really good. Nice place to wander around as well as there's something neat to look at (or that you'll want to purchase!) everywhere you look. Went home with a pie and some Saskatoon berry tarts afterwards and they didn't last very long, they were delicious.

It is summer time and go to visit this farm is a must! There are a lot trees and picnic tables that you can keep social distancing with others and enjoy the nice view. Chill with friends and family there is what you need! Plus there are some hidden gems you don't wanna miss! I am not going to tell you but you go find out!

Very cool place to visit! From greenhouses filled with flowers to bakeries with sweet treats, restaurants with savoury delights, and a cute little clothing and curio shop, this place seems to have something for everyone.

The staff are friendly and ready to help, and if you keep your eyes open you'll meet some cats, rabbits, roosters, chicken and even a few tortoise!

On your way out have a look at some of the trees they have for sale, including a few fruit trees!

We visited in early summer, so too early for berry picking, but we may try that later in the year.

A fun visit!

Beautiful as always but we couldn't believe they didn't have the frozen scones for sale. Those are one of the main reasons we went out there. We know the staff are busy but the scones are one of the top attractions for us and I bet are one of the best sellers. Need to prioritize those scones as high! Dissappointed with the scones, always blown away by the plants, visuals and selection of produce.

We were looking for a day activity around Calgary. Within 30 mins drive from Calgary downtown we found Saskatoon farm. It had good reviews and we were not disappointed either, it's a great place for all age groups. We enjoyed our evening. Time well spent.
Parking was easily available. Though they close at 5: 00 they are open till 8: 00 on Friday and Saturday. If you want to try their ice cream which is a must (we tried blueberry + saskatoon = yummy) get before 5: 00.

We didn’t try the restaurant but looked nice with the patio open and warm sun. We further saw the plants in the greenhouse. Good variety to shop with all price ranges. Further, walking down you can find someplace to sit down calmly and enjoy the view maybe click a few photos. We are looking forward to the picking season in July. Give it a try.

I love the Saskatoon farm. If you don’t follow them on Instagram you must, Paul is such a character and does an awesome job explaining some of his favourite plants. The produce is great and the restaurant is better, we could spend a half day here easily!

Placed an online order. Confirmation e-mail was sent with correct details but the order was shipped to the wrong address resulting in wasted product. Phoned; Saskatoon Farm promised to resend but didn't. Phoned for refund because I no longer have time to plant this year. Overall not great service.

This is a great place to visit, get fresh vegetables and all kinds of plants and trees for your garden. Most surprising thing is the restaurant, it is fantastic and serves up great breakfast foods and crazy food Mexican dishes. Definitely great for kids as there is lots of space to walk and see the local cats, chickens and even turtles.

Okay, now admittedly I did not go during the peak weather months so there were no flowers or plants or really anything but dead grass to look at but I can see how it can be a real attraction when its high season. It isn’t a big place but as my wife says it’s “cute”. It’s a nice simple staycation place to go. The food I will say was great. The whole place has a western tex mex look and feel to it and the food even reflects that. Now the highlight of course are the Saskatoon berries which they sell in every form you can imagine or digest and everyone from the prairies know how good a Saskatoon tastes. The Saskatoon Farm is exactly what it advertises.a Saskatoon Farm turned attraction. Try it out and start with a Saturday or Sunday lunch.

We were there today and while they had people seated apart they didn't have anything to exchange the air, no open windows or air filters. We had hoped to sit outside and even though it was warm out the patio was closed. We won't be back until the spring or summer next year.

Lived in Calgary my whole life and got around to visiting this year! Gorgeous farm, excellent produce, the people are wonderful. Such a great place for families, a fun weekend date, and would also make a lovely wedding venue.

This place is magical. I can't say enough good things about it. Amazing and unique selections, the views are incredible and the restaurant is phenomenal. Staff were friendly and everyone in our group loved it, from toddlers to seniors. I would go every weekend if I could!

Fantastic little place south of the big city and totally worth visiting! We went Saskatoon u-picking in late August with the kiddos and it was a total blast! Picked up some local produce and ate icecream too - can’t wait to visit again!

The most precious little farm with U-Pick options, Food and Drink, there are even animals! It's a great place to spend time with the kiddos or with your family.

What a cute little spot! I have been driving by the sign every week for years and never stopped in. Finally made it in for a lunch and a stroll around today. We had the quesadilla, chicken sandwich and the avocado toast. Everything was delicious and well made. I would say the avocado toast was little more like guacamole toast.but still tasty on their signature bread. Bought quite a few good looking treats from their bakery and managed to keep my wallet in my pocket in the little store, but what a great selection! I'll definitely be heading back here every couple months for a quick stop.

This place is busy! I like their product and pricing. Restaurant is also busy as mentioned. Nice viewpoint at the rear of the property and be sure to checkout the terrapins.

Fun place to come here with the family, if you have the time and the budget. The products are not cheap here, but you pay for the quality. Better off coming earlier during the day, as they run out of things pretty fast. Picking your own berries season seems to be over. Really enjoyed their generous scoop of Saskatoon Berry Ice-Cream. You can actually taste the berries in there.

It was good to go there and spend hours picking Saskatoon berries, unfortunately the cherries weren't ready them. It's fun place to bring kids to enjoy picking berries

This is the greatest family run farm to visit. Excellent pies, tarts and cookies, beautiful plants and fresh veggies from the feilds. My kids love visiting the chickens, picking Saskatoon berries in the summer and I love the wide selection of currated decor and apparel in the Buffalo room.

Love going to this place to get plants for the garden and to get fresh produce. They are a bit pricy, but it's justified. They are also very popular, as their offers run out super fast. Came here a little too late for picking your own berries. Their ice-cream tastes amazing!

Was uncomfortable seeing that restaurant servers pulled down their bandana masks everytime they went in the back and at the till. Clerk in the mercantile wasn't wearing a mask. Didn't stick around.

Had fan with GF, niece and nephew.
