My son visited this location to buy parts for a skateboard, Ethan helped him out and had amazing customer service. He was very polite, helpful and went above and beyond to give helpful tips and be kind.
Nothing but good things to say about this location. Excellent selection of snowboard gear and extremely knowledgeable staff. Even though I have been riding snowboards for 18 years I was helped by Rob who was very informative of any questions I had about my boards of interest and many others, also answering many questions on outerwear! After questioning Rob for three visits I pulled the trigger and bought the Burton Custom I’ve been eyeing! Will be back later to purchase outerwear, overall a fantastic experience and will recommend to anyone looking for new equipment!
Go here and ask for Rob-he was amazing! We bought snowboards, bindings and clothing for my teenage boys and learned SO much about snowboards. Rob was incredibly friendly and knowledgable, with no pressure. Such a great experience:)
Barely any stock except surf dude clothing. I bought online on June 2nd and shipped on the 13th.in the year 2023. This place has turned into a gongshow, you are better off ordering from.ugh.zumies, at least they will ship your order in a reasonable manner and carry more than hurley and santa cruz. I have ordered many times over the years and now Im done.
Matt and Zack sorted us out with the perfect setup for our snowboarding needs. Their expertise was invaluable; we got perfect fitting boots and the rest of the gear to go with it.
I was worried I would have to go back into the store to address a small error, but I called in and Matt worked his magic and got it all sorted. We'll definitely be back many more times!
This is what a snow and skate shop should look like. I don't think it has any competition left in Edmonton. The atmosphere and product can't be matched.
Shop is dope, good service Folks in the shop are knowledgeable and dropped 2 customers to help me, as they knew when I walked in I mean business. There were some high school kids that obviously had zero money, so when I entered they knew where to focus their energy. Overall pleasant experience for my son & I.
Went in and dealt with Matt today. Bought my son some boots, bindings, board and a full suit. Matt helped me thru it as I'm a newbie to boarding as well. Thanks for the help guys! EDIT: I ended up getting the wrong size boots, which then made the bindings the wrong size, also wanted to exchange the board for another one as well the snow suit was wrong soze for my kid ️. The guys were super accommodating and set him up with all new gear Top to bottom, he's going to love the step ons, he has trouble with his buckles!
I’ve been dealing with the Source for years. I have dealt with one certain individual that has helped myself, and my son out tremendously be it skateboard stuff or more so snowboard stuff. Rob has been insanely helpful with setting up my son with his new setup or going through the new stuff that I am always curious about from bindings to boots to shoes to creature wheels. The guy knows his stuff. Ask to see him and he’ll help you out as his knowledge of in store product is immense. Even introduced me to the crazy world of shoe collecting in a not so round about way. Hahahha. Thanks for all your help over the years and I’ll be in soon for some new boots!
I ordered a gift online (i start christmas shopping early) and was concerned about the return/exchange policy.i contacted them about this concern and the support team extended the exchange policy for me until after Christmas to ensure they would get the right fit. Really happy about this since lots of companies don't start extended returns/exchanges until mid-November (but by then lots of stuff is sold out).
Big store with a large selection of skate and snow hard and soft goods. Staff have always been friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable of the products they are selling. Most importantly, they all skate and snowboard themselves so you're always dealing with someone who understands your love for skate and shred, or can help you learn to love it if you're a newcomer.
Zero stars. Went in there today with my brother and we were both planning on buying a bunch of clothes (alone I have probably spent 3-4 grand in there over the years) and the kiddo at the door asked me to see my mask exemption papers because I wasn't wearing a mask. I told him that it fell out of my pocket and I dont have medical exemption papers, he then proceeded to tell me to go to the front desk to get a mask (no big deal) I went to the desk and asked for a mask the guy said they didn't have any.and after that I was told "to-go ahead and leave the store" they lost 2 heavy spenders this afternoon. I will never darken their doorway ever again.proceeded to WEM and bought my stuff at ZUMIES.highly recommend them for their customer service
Love this board shop. Been coming here for all my snowboard stuff for the past few years - never disappoints. Great selection of clothes and gear. Friendly and helpful staff. Big thanks to Paul especially for being great to deal with - excellent customer service!
Went in and purchased some ski goggles. Appreciated the laid back staff who didn’t push products on me. Let me decide what I wanted and had everything ready for me when I was set to pay. Will be back in the future. Thank you!
Bought these bindings and boots 10 years ago, still going strong! Stopped in today for a new jacket and pants. Great selection and high quality gear. Friendly staff.
Will confirm orders to only cancel them 3-5 days later saying sorry we double sold today. Will then hold the refund money for another week and refuse to offer even a 10% discount code for the inconvenience…
Ok first of all, i would love to say how much i love this store. The staff are skaters and understand what is best for you personally. Honestly probably the nicest people you will ever meet.it doesn't give off negative skate culture vibes and helps the local scene so much it is not even funny. The always hold contests at local parks and are super friendly to beginners. As someone who has skated for a long time i can say with certainty that this is the best skate shop in Edmonton
My husband and I were in to purchase a long board for our 14 year old son for his birthday. We had no idea what we were looking for and even where to start. All the staff members went above and beyond to help us and explain what to look for. The board we ended up picking out was perfect and he loves it.
I recently purchased a new Jones board from the Source online store and picked up at Edmonton Source location. Went in and was handed my board. I stood awkwardly by the bindings for a few minutes until I had to trouble someone to get me the bindings I was interested in. Was looking at a board for my son while he was getting my bindings. No one asked if I needed help in that section either. (I'm the only customer in the store, and there are 4 staff) So I just paid for the things and left. It is really just like any other retail establishment. Come in, pick what you want, leave. I think they fail to realize the purpose of the Jones "Early drops to support local shops" program. If I had a board shop I'd probably appreciate a guy who just dropped $1200 on a board.
Guys there were great. I had some odd ball gear, they set me up to find the right place to service it properly. They were super helpful and didn’t try to sell me on anything I didn’t need.
Was excited to receive my orders that were meant to be Christmas gifts. Was very disappointed when I receive two black Volcom hoodies completely covered in what looks like cat hair and lint.had to use the lint roller on these brand new sweaters before I could wrap them. Wont be ordering from this company again.
The crew at this location are always helpful, from broken ladders or missing hardware on bindings - to getting your boots heat molded - they got your back
More feedback then a complaint.i'm all for supporting small biz but three weeks to get a board tuned up and sent to calgary? Can't hire or pay a person a few hours longer to tune up boards at the start of the season? That makes no sense to me.i know "due to covid etc" but other competitors are doing it.i went to sport chek a few hours after i spoke to someone at source and my board has already been tuned up.
We went there on October 8 for my son and daughter to get boards, bindings, boots, helmets, and outerwear. The two sales guys (sorry didn’t get their names) there were extremely helpful and only sold us what we needed, as well took the time to explain everything. From two parents who knew nothing about it, thank you for your patience and helping us. Would definitely go here again.
This store is awesome. Snowboarding and ski stuff GALORE! The staff are awesome as well. They ordered me boots from a different store and I will receive a call when they are ready. They also price match!
I can’t say enough good things about the staff at the source. They are friendly and knowledgeable, take the time to answer questions and concerns. Even when they were busy, they tried to make sure I was getting the help I needed. I would feel comfortable sending any friends or family here for sales or support.
Great place to understand snowboarding. Rob is awesome. Really helpful and full of knowledge on the sport. There staff are friendly and responsive to your needs. Can’t say enough about my experience. Will be back forsure!
I just want to say special thank you to Zach! I went in the other day to just browse and Zach gave me his full attention helping me decide what I should pick out for my first time snowboarding. He gave me great tips and had a vast knowledge but was able to simplify it for me as I am very new to this sport. I went in today to pick up my new snowboard from him 5/5 customer service. I would recommend this shop to everyone they have a lot of inventory and amazing staff like Zach!
Great staff, they also do not discriminate against people who cannot wear a mask. They will ask you for what you're looking for and will get it for you. Unlike other skate shops who couldnt be bothered to help you even without a mask, they put in the effort. That's good staff and good for sales.
Was sold a defective CAPiTA Slush Slasher. There has been no solution other than being told to tell them if the issue gets worse.very comforting when soaring down a mountain on said board. Now I’m left with a $450 board that’s been used 3 times that I have no way of using knowing if it’s safe or not. Clearly I won’t be riding thus board as I’m not taking that chance and I’m turn I am out $450. No more snowboarding for me! Thank you The Source, thank you so very much. P. S This board went on sale 20% within a few days of my purchase and was not notified about this in any way. Also no price match. Great business practices.
I had a lovely time the staff are very knowledgeable I don't ski or snow board so I was only there for moral support and to look at the clothing which was awesome
We stopped in to look at bindings, lenses, and boots! Chad helped us out and he was so friendly! Knowledgeable and was not pushy at all! We will definitely be buying everything from this store from here on out! Thanks for making our experience amazing Chad! ️
WEBSITE INFORMATION DOES NOT REFLECT ACTUAL PROCESS
Purchased bindings online that their website stated was in stock in Edmonton and listed as "0 days" for shipping so i selected "pick up in store", Edmonton location. I wanted to buy them before they were sold out. Went to the store to pick them up the next day and was told i'll have to wait for it to be shipped from Calgary? ! I had my order number and statement showing sale and the staff there would not do anything, stating they had to "make some calls". What a joke, he was literally holding the bindings in the size I purchased and then said I have to wait until it is shipped from Calgary or purchase it again and then return the original purchase. At no point in the online purchase did it say that the bindings I was purchasing had to be shipped from Calgary. It said they were in stock in Edmonton and that there was no shipping required. I ended up having to purchase the bindings AGAIN at the store and am still waiting on any sort of response regarding the original purchase. Such a headache dealing with these guys. Will never shop here again. WARNING! Do not purchase anything from this store if there is any other way to get it, or you're rolling the dice. Can't give 0 stars, so here's 1 for the pointless response.
Awesome service, friendly and efficient! Brought my board in to get waxed in short notice and they got it back to me the same day! Originally told me Friday, but they got it done in less than 24 hours! Highly recommend for your boarding needs!
Friendly staff and a wide selection of skiing/snowboarding goods. Quick service too, had a small issue with my binding and they helped me out saving me $150 to 300 on having to buy a new pair
Friendly and knowledgable staff. Been to this location twice and always get a thorough explanation on my purchases. Great prices and deals on complete boards.
Bought a new snowboard and bindings the other day and was helped by Ben and Beth. Was super happy with the customer service And friendly staff. Will shop there again.
Rushed out A Last minute order after another shop wait a week to tell me they couldn't fill my online order. Had my bindings in the mail in 3 business days. Saved my trip.
