He came out smiling and I can tell he had a really good experience compared to other groomers that hurry you out the door and meanwhile you’re pup is getting strapped down in the back scared for his life.this place was the total opposite!
He got to walk around not be caged up, make some new friends. They have amazing services and the groomer they call him the “dog whisperer” he has been cutting for 15 years and you can see the work put in. They even give him some cologne smelling nice and a little bandana I couldn’t be happier and can’t wait to go back there. Definitely recommend! They also have the cutest harnesses and outfits I will for sure be buying next time. Also first time in you get 10$ off!

I've been taking my dog there for the last year and could not be happier. Tully loves going there and the staff are always so welcoming and accommodating.

We have been bringing our pup to Urban Dog for about a year now. We could not be more pleased and impressed with Pam and her team. They treat the pups like family and we always know that our dog is in safe hands for daycare and boarding. Pam was immediately responsive to some behaviour issues we were noticing at home and got us in for training through the daycare and train program. It was amazing to see the immediate change with our pup. Pam's lessons/training sessions gave us the confidence and skills needed to reshape our relationship with our dog. Pam and the team are always there to chat and make the time to answer any questions and put you at ease. We can't say enough great things about Urban Dog and highly recommend them for daycare, boarding, and training. Thank you Pam!

We felt uneasy and didn’t feel our dog was cared for (not abused in any way, just not cared for in a loving manner). When we were picking him up, we heard an employee in the back room say “uh, these @&#+ing dogs! ” Not what you want to hear when they’re bringing out your dog. He has some blood dried into the fur over his eye, but it doesn’t look like it came from him.

My dog seemed to have a great day at the spa.
After his furmination, all his winter shed was gone

Discrimination against my dog just due to his breed. Saying it’s the breed of the animal, when it’s not the breed it’s the owner. I do not recommend them.

My dog Max has been going to Urban Dog Daycare for quite a few months now and he LOVES it! We started taking him when my boyfriend left for work and I needed a place for max to burn out all his energy while I'm at work. They have been amazing and have even been working with max to build some good puppy manners. The staff are super friendly and kind! If there is ever any concerns with max, they let me know the moment I arrive to pick him up! There hours are AMAZING and they even let me drop him off 15 minutes early before they are scheduled to open to I can make it to work on time! Its so convenient to be able to board, train, and groom him all in one place! This is the only place i could find an unlimited monthly visits package so i can drop him off as many times as i want in a
month for one price which i LOVE. Can't say enough awesome things about this doggy paradise but if you are looking for a place to take care of your dog, this is the place!

I’m extremely delighted to say she had the best time of her life today! This will be so awesome for this little one! She and her sister Maggie will go twice weekly!

They do not accept Pitbulls. I was told they know some bully breed dogs are great but can not accept any due to past negative experiences. Very disappointing as they claim to train dogs as well as the day care. I wouldn't trust them or their training capabilities. Their website claims to be able to socialize your dog with similar energy dogs but pitbulls don't get a chance. Very sad.

Best place to take your dog, some of the nicest staff you will ever meet, they maked sure my dog felt happy and safe. 100% would recommend them

This is a fantastic daycare! My dog comes home from a day of activity all tuckered out. I love that everyone is so friendly and helpful. They also have a great priced grooming package.

We have been going to Urban Dog Daycare for 2 weeks now. So far our dog loves it big time. He has also started training with the team there and the videos they have showed are amazing.

My very shy, insecure GSD, Larry, liked it there and got on with the other dogs. The staff seemed to know what they were doing and how to handle Larry. I was very pleased and will be returning. Thank you everyone.

This doggie daycare is incredible. The tenderness and love the staff and owner show towards my bear makes me feel much better about parting with him while I'm at work! Thanks for everything you guys do. Take your dog here, you won't regret it!

We brought our little boy Jax to daycare yesterday and it was a great experiance for him and us. The staff accommodated us at the last minute. We called in the morning and dropped off Jax a couple hours later. It was great to see Jax play on facebook feeds thoughout the day and to see that he was happy and playing. When we picked him up, he was tired and very happy. A good sign. We will use your services again when we are in town for sure!

This is the second dog that I have been brought h to The Urban Dog. The staff always have gone above to take care of my Dog.

Now, I have being bring my new puppy to The Urban Dog for almost a year. We have completed the Puppy Classes and it has done a fantastic job for Cinnamon. The staff has been working with her and I have noticed a big improvement. I can not find words to thank the staff for everything. I have Boarded Cinnamon there a couple of weekends. The staff have talked very good care of her.

I was dealing with another Doggy Daycare at first that was not able to handle a high energy puppy. I always was getting a phone calls to pick up my dog because she was “Having a bad day”. We all know that Boxer Dogs are very high energy for the first two years. The staff at The Urban Dog has been working with Cinnamon and I have not receive one call because of a “Bad day”. This shows that Pam and her staff know how to deal with all types of dogs personalities.

Great training program offered, with caring, helpful staff. Bella was a pandemic puppy with little to no socialization and The Urban Dog offered training during the day within the daycare element. This was really good for Bella and helped with her nervous issues with other dogs. The training also included 5 evening one hour one on one classes with Pam the owner and lead trainer.this gave us lots of tools to work with and great instruction. Got our 2 small dogs in for a bath and nail trim, was hoping for a bath and tidy but the groomer was out. Still almost cost 100 bucks all said and done, so a bit on the pricey side but the staff is friendly and they got us in on short notice.

My family and our Puppy Flex thoroughly enjoyed our Daycare & Train sessions with Pam, at The Urban Dog - Dog Daycare!

Pam was patient, personable, understanding and her attention to detailed instruction was very beneficial to our learning! Our sessions included our entire family, including our 2 teens. Pam ensured that each of us were able to cohesively learn and then apply our learning with our puppy, so that we had consistency throughout our home! The daycare days were wonderful at reinforcing the learning!

Brought in our puppy for some training and I am amazed at how well she adapted to the program and how much she learnt. Pam did an amazing job at being hands on and answering any questions we had. The girls working the day care and train program also did amazing! I now have a puppy who loves to learn. If you’re looking for a training program worth every penny definitely check this place out!

Pam was accommodating, flexible, and very responsive. Our pup loved his days here and, the best part, was exhausted all evening!

I attended the Urban Dog Daycare as part of the Edmonton Dashchund Social Club, so as expected it was the perfect place to be surrounded by all the adorable weenies.

The Urban Dog Daycare was amazing with my Beagle cross that just had TPLO surgery. They were very accommodating and made sure he was very comfortable and never alone.:) I could not have asked for any better care than what I received. You guys are very amazing and I appreciate everything you do. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. The staff is truly amazing and you can tell that this is there passion. They love the dogs like they are their own. Your dog will be in great hands with them:).

Our Fred loves going to daycare and is so happy when we arrive. He shows immediate affection to the staff and can't wait to get in to play with all the other dogs. I know that when I drop him off that he is well taken care of. Thank you Urban Dog Daycare staff for all that you do with Fred and for providing such a loving environment.

My little doodle LOVES going there. Every time I take him, as soon as he comes into the place he pulls me to go inside and play. Also you can see how much fun he has because he'll come home to pass out till next day

The staff at this facility have been with me since I was first given my (formerly) high anxiety rescue in 2016 and the results have been amazing.

My dog used to hate walks and was terrified of leashes. She would try to attack other dogs on our walks and bark at people who approached or were just even passing. Anytime she heard a noise, she would cower away from the noise as quickly as possible. Crowds were clearly a no for her and even people she'd be fine with outside of her house would be snapped at if they ever came in our house or yard. She would destroy any crate she was left in and then actually eat through walls if left alone for any period of time. We used to have a car magnet sign that would note the time we were last with her when we would have to leave her in the vehicle in the summer as a vehicle was the only thing she wouldn't eat when left alone and we're required to return every twenty minutes to turn the air conditioning back on and check her water (major hoops to jump through to be allowed to leave a dog in a vehicle in the summer).

Due to her history, these were only some of the things we had to work through with my dog, but we've worked through them. She absolutely loves going for her walks (nervous, but friendly to strangers) and has (almost) zero problem in most crowds, but at family events, she runs around off-leash and plays with the other dogs just fine or has no problem going up to anyone whether familiar or not and begging for food. Noise doesn't scare her anymore but pet stores still do for some reason. We can leave her at home now and she doesn't force us into regular renovations anymore. And I still bring her to the daycare every week to keep up her socialization skills.

I get compliments all of the time over the complete 180° my dog has made since I first got her and you'd never know that she used to have so much anxiety. I owe a lot of that thanks to the time, patience, and amazing help from The Urban Dog and their staff. They have always been full of great advice whenever I bring anything to their attention. It has been so great working with them.

Dogs are crated at this facility if they even have the slightest issue, I'm talking for copious amounts of time or until the owner picks them up. The owner of urban dog is very misleading and confused on quality of service. She will lie to get a penny. My dog was pulled out of a small crate when I picked him up so small he hit his head on it coming out and couldnt stand in it or even come close to turn his body around. Go elsewhere:) dont appreciate your comments pam. I have been returning to facilty out of convenience. But stopped almost a year ago when you changed names because you had a horrible name for yourself. Thanks pam I am not confused or mistaken.

The Urban Dog is so great! I have a senior dog who is very anxious in new situations, and after we moved twice in six months, it was too stressful for him to stay home alone while I'm at work. After just a couple of weeks at daycare, he is so excited to go! All the staff is so warm and friendly, you can really see that they love their dogs. Add in the convenience of in house grooming and overnight boarding as well, and I could not be happier.

It's the extra little things too, like taking photos of all the dogs at Easter and on their birthdays- this place just goes above and beyond.

Wish I could give zero stars. I went to pick up my dog the other day and was appalled at what I saw. I entered the building and discovered my dog was kept in a cage that was at least 2
sizes to small for a dog his size. The cage didn’t even allow him space to turn around and he was forced to hunch. This facility also has no outdoor space besides a small concrete area at the back that doesn’t even allow the dogs enough space to run. My dog bolted for the door as soon as he could. Overall the place disgusted me and I will never be bringing my dog back here again.

My daughter, Maddy reviewed earlier today. Just want to follow up as she was quite upset when we picked Charlie up today. I was there at 3: 45 and the door was locked. Another gentleman was there also waiting. We walked around the building and heard several dogs crying and saw that the only outdoor space was a small cement area with a plastic pool. A lady showed up with a key but seemed surprised no one was there. She said she didn't work there (so not sure why she had a key). The man gave his dogs name and description but she couldn't find him so she had him go back and get him. Then she couldn't find Charlie for us so I went back. Our dog wasn't in the back but then she found him in what appeared to be a storage room. There were several dogs in small cages stacked on top of each other. Our dog (A 100lb lab) was in a way too small cage which he was not even able to lie down in. We brought him home and he was panting and seemed scared. He drank 3 full bowls of water (which he normally wouldn't drink in a full day). His elbows are very bruised which may be a result of the size of cage he was in.
I am not sure what happens during the day and night there but from what we did see we were not happy and will look to other boarding in the future.

I am not sure what went on for the 2 nights and half day my dog Dexter was there but he’s 100% not himself. I sent him with food and I got back 95% of what I sent him with.what was gone was about the amount he would eat in one morning. His demeanour is sad he wouldn’t even come over to me when I called him. He is normally full of life and happy and kisses you and wants to be right beside you and it’s taken me 5 hours to get him to even start to come around. It makes me wish dogs could talk because I KNOW something is wrong. On top of that I was told the fee was $40 a night and WAS NOT told if I picked him up after a certain time I would be charged a daycare fee.when I told the girl I wasn’t told about the fee she didn’t really care just said oh and continued to take payment. If my dog seemed happy like he usually does when he gets picked up from other places I wouldn’t have said anything BUT he is definitely not himself. Also when I walked in the door it was crazy how loud it was and all the dogs were barking like crazy the girl came out and the barking was insane, when she went back she screamed at the dogs to stop and they instantly stopped which I found strange. I have a lot of red flags right now

Our boy Artie LOVES The Urban Dog! Bringing him here is a great way to break up his week. He comes home exhausted and goes right to bed. We watch for videos of him playing on the daycare's Facebook Page. And everyone is always really nice during drop-off and pick-up. It's conveniently located for us on the west end / on my way to work. A huge part of Artie's week and we are so grateful to have a place we can trust leaving him at. We also really like this daycare because it's a no-toy zone, so it's totally fine for dogs who might get toy-aggressive (which ours does). They also accept all sizes of dogs with all sorts of behaviours (they will work with dogs who may not be as socialized, to help get them socialized!) Artie doesn't have a socialization problem but we appreciated that when we learned more about the daycare and its services. He is a big dog though and there are some daycares that are small dogs only so it was nice to know he would be accepted here! Thanks to Pam & the team!
