The Westin Calgary

I looked forward to my stay at here but was disappointed when i was given a room that was hot and without AC. When reception sent someone to the room to check it out, he just told horrible lie that non of the rooms have AC working because its winter. The only solution he could come up with was to bring a standing fan to the room and open the windows. Ridiculous!

Sadly one of my worst Marriott visits. Stayed here last year and it was exceptional. This time checkin had a bunch of loud drunks hanging out in the lobby at 1am, housekeeping never came to our room at all, mediocre rooms, and we capped the trip off with a 8am fire alarm (false alarm). As a Marriott gold member, I can safely say go to a different hotel.

Excellent front desk, she very helpful, during the Canada’s day very busy check in. The building quit old and the room need to update, good location in Downtown Calgary nice view

It has lots of hidden fees which is not mentioned when you are booking. And the hotel bathroom was not clean

This is the hotel in downtown Calgary I like the most, to be honest, the room is OK, not the best in Calgary, but the service is always the best and the location is perfect too.

The hotel is not using the Marriott TV interface to save some bucks it seems. Limited channels, no OTT apps. The location is probably the only good thing here.

Nice clean hotel, awesome food, parking beneath hotel is very convenient, rooms are well sized, bathroom was nice if a bit small. Toiletries were perfect.all priced fairly.

Stayed for a night, awesome staff, great food, perfect location.

We had an excellent five-day stay at the downtown Westin in Calgary. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly.

Amazing hotel, stayed here a couple of times. The pool is nice, the sauna was out of order when we stayed. Very clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly.

I stayed one night in the Westin Calgary. Everything was pleasant. I’m not sure what’s his name on front desk. He asked some questions about choose rooms. It was really nice.
Also hotel is located in downtown. That’s why I was able to see beautiful night view from room.
Highly recommend. Worth every penny.

Sanjeev restored my faith in humanity after the worst experience in my life staying at any accommodation. The other hotel was filthy and owners were rude and refused to refund the hotel even though we never stayed in the room. After driving 4 hours and spending 2 hours trying to get a refund at Nuvo; Sanjeev greeted us politely on the phone and told us to come on down. From the moment we arrived he gave some of the most polite service I’ve ever received in 10 countries and 37 states. He went above and beyond and gave us a late check out as it is now 1: 30 AM. He just turned around our weekend getaway and we are extremely grateful we booked here. Sanjeev had told me he’s been at this location for 10 years and Westin is lucky to have him. Will always recommend. Thank you so much Sanjeev.

You can't better the best! The front desk staff is most welcoming. The restaurant staff is super super impressive. Everything about this place is more than awesome. Will definitely be back!

I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times and it's always a pleasure! Friendly and accommodating staff. Great location with the Keg and a Starbucks located on the main floor. Sanjeeb and his team make sure you are looked after for your entire stay!

Nice, big, clean rooms. Very impressed. Pool was lack luster and no hot tub but it was fun anyways lol
Love that The Keg is attached. No wait and great food/service.
My only issue was, on check in, we were told that to go from parking to our room we couldn't take the elevator directly, there was a small flight of stairs in between. Not a big issue but a pain with the stroller. As we were leaving after checking out 2 very helpful employees ran to help us at the stairs and told us we could have just taken the other elevator to avoid the stairs! Wish we had known.

I don't know if it's the hotel itself or was it covid.totally dead place.not much food options other than the KEG at the street level

Professional and clean, well appointed rooms. We were hoping for a hot tub, but understandably closed due to COVID.

Nice hotel, keg steakhouse attached to it and a Starbucks. Great pool and workout view on the top floor.but in rooms beside elevator you can hear the elevators moving and opening at night (especially the elevator closest to your room) and it did make for a nighttime distraction.

I told the desk about it when I left the hotel and they comp’d a couple of my purchases that I had made. Kudos, enjoyed myself greatly and great customer service.

My young son sometimes has accidents at night. We travel with pad which we place on the bed to minimize the passing of urine onto the sheets. In the morning we informed the front desk that one sheet had gotten urine on it. At that time they thanked us and did not notify us of any extra charge. To wash that one sheet they charged us an extra $100 dollars to our bill. Considering there was no damage to the mattress or comforter this is outrageous! On top of that the mattresses were old, indented and very uncomfortable. We had a similar thing happen when we stayed at the Universal Studios resort a few years back and there response was, "No worries, it happens more than you think. " There was no extra charge! We will never stay at a Westin Hotel again!

Enjoyed my 2nights stay at Westin:) my first room had some issues with the ac and they were quick to change room for us on the same floor. They also sent me beers as an apology. Nice and clean room, at a very convenient location in the city.

Not impressed with this hotel. We went at check in time on a Saturday to check in and it was super busy with only 3 people checking in. There was a very weird/bad smell in the hallway. No one told us that to get to our floor we had to tap our room key. Our room had dirty towels. This is a hotel that we will not be going back to.

We live in Calgary so without the pandemic we’d likely never spend a night at a hotel in our own city but there’s a first for everything. From our experience, The Westin Calgary is absolutely making the most out of a bad situation because they have been absolutely amazing. They’ve set up a movie theatre, mini golf course and swimming! The staff has been great and our family is having the best time. Thank you for everything!

I had stayed here last week and the windshield was damaged on my car by some drunk passing by. I found the staff to be very helpful and cooperative in helping with everything from the Police information to the vehicle clean up

Didn't stay at hotel personally, met up with a business associate who was pleased. I personally had some dealing with the front desk staff.very genuine informative and helpful

We booked for the family staycation package and despite the pool not being open we had a great stay. Top notch service from Tejas and the rest of of the staff despite a few hiccups with the room. Thank you for taking care of us and for the thoughtful extras and upgrades. My daughter had a great Birthday!

Absolutely incredible service from Sanjeev and Tejas.
Tejas suggested that I visit the river; amazing suggestion.
Hotel was super clean, comfy beds, modern tv and they even found a place to park my monster trucks too.
Definitely will come back.

The Westin was really great. I got an upgraded suite. There a humidifier in the room as it’s so dry here. They are Covid safe without being annoying, but again still very safe. The bed is comfy, they are quick to deliver things to the room or grab you what you need. They are polite, kinda and efficient. I’m in the middle of my one week stay. I have stayed here before and I will stay again. It’s an older hotel but well maintained. Thanks Westin Calgary.

Not necessarily their fault, but the gym is closed and nothing is allowed inside unless you're in your room. I recommend you wait until Alberta/Canada is less restrictive before you come here. It'd be five stars if it weren't for the government-enacted rules.

The staff were so kind and accommodating! They helped me find a samsung charger when I forgot mine and they were so friendly about everything! The place was kept super clean and covid safe!

I just use the Starbucks here. The staff here are always super friendly and make good coffee. It's probably a good hotel? ‍️

I stayed from 25 - 27 Dec 2018, What a wonderful stay was it, specially madam Linda (front Office) made it a superb stay, thank you Westin and thank you Linda. Keep it up, u r the best, I will always stay with you.

Lovely hotel in Calgary. It is in walking distance to some beautiful parkland and an historic site. Breakfast is a buffet with an omelet station, and a multitude of choices. There are also many fine restaurants nearby.

This is a good hotel although it is located on the north side of the core it is probably my preference of choice in the city. Has a keg restaurant attached to it which offers very good food the beds and showers are awesome staff are also very good. The only other hotels did rival this in the vicinity are the Sheraton eau Claire I'm possibly the palliser

Banquet staff was so amazing. Very prompt and smooth, and so friendly. The venue was spotless with amply room for everyone to still navigate around each other nicely

I was at the Westin in their large meeting rooms. The Westin provided coffee and a continental breakfast for the meeting.

Great hotel, except having ImPark manage the underground parking, ImPark is absolutely the most crooked company in this industry.

Beautiful hotel, cozy bed, and lovely, accommodating staff. They let me have a super late check out. Delicious room service, too.

The room was very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The gym is my favorite its small but have a really great view of downtown.

Located in downtown Calgary, walking distance to shopping, restaurants and some sightseeing. Very clean and comfortable.

We attended the Ronald McDonald House Charities Gala. The staff are very attentive to our needs on the table from pouring water to bringing the bottle of wine. Service is top notch.

Lovely conference hotel facilities. Food was excellent. Appreciate the vegetarian and vegan food options and they were very well done too. Unfortunately Starbucks in hotel was closed during the conference.

Expensive meals with a french attitude.
When cleaning the room, they also took the robes which were there when we arrived but " forgot " to bring new with towels. When I asked the front desk, they assured me that someone would bring us some. This NEVER happened.
The weather was not the only thing cold there.
Btw. I have been to several Westins.
This one was aged but, efficient. A place to stay while I was there.

Great hotel. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Central to restaurants and stores. Only negative is the tiny fitness center (specifically the weights section)

Very nice staff, wait help & chef came to the rescue with my special allergy requests, everyone went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. I highly recommend the Westin Calgary.

Nice high end hotel. Keg located downstairs. Couple blocks from c-train. Lots of shopping, pubs and restaurants near by. Quiet secure hotel. Great customer service.

Lovely room, clean and restful. The hotel staff struck the right balance between professional and friendly. The pool water and room were really cold, but that's a minor quibble. Breakfast was fantastic - fresh squeezed orange juice and an omelet bar!

Good downtown location, awful parking rates if you are not staying in the hotel (was told $11/hr) by the front desk. Reasonable conference hall sizes for our purpose. Very good catering by staff, and kind interactions with staff met personally.
