Thi Thi Vietnamese Submarine

Their subs are so popular. I was waiting for almost 30 mins for my sub even it was a weekday.
I ordered Sate Chicken and I was enjoying it. Their sub had strong flavor (a little bit spicy) which was a good match with its sub bread.
The owners were kind and friendly.
I will go back if there is no need to wait.

Owner is extremely friendly and also provides quick service! I always get the vegetarian sub, and they have never disappointed. Highly recommended to get your moneys worth.

By far the best tasting Vietnamese subs I have ever tasted and it is family run. Usually a line so be prepared to wait a little bit. The wait is more than paid off with how amazing the subs are.

Got the beef sate. Pretty solid banh mi. Beef was flavorful, and they toast the bread. It gets a bit messy though, so grab a few extra napkins. Waited in line for 20 minutes, but well worth it.

I've really enjoyed Thi Thi subs. However, when we got the subs today, the carrots tasted like they were soaked in acetone - not a pleasant experience.

If you go to Thi Thi during rush hour, you're expected to wait but I can't help to think there are probably methods they could implement to reduce wait times for their customers. Perhaps an additional oven would help.

Returned for the first time in almost 5 years and was recognized and welcomed like an old friend.

I've searched all over North America for equally good Banh Mi and never found it. 100% recommend coming here. I'm so happy to have the opportunity to visit again.

A special spot in Calgary for many years. The family that own and run it are incredible, and the food is delicious! So good that if you go bettwen 1130 and 1 you will be in a long line most days.

This place has been here for a long time. My sons have grown and they come here for their fixed for subs. Busy during lunch, a bit of a wait, but it’s worth it. Enjoy

So glad I stumbled across this charming hole-in-the-wall. I figured if people were queuing it must be good… and it really was. The staff there are so warm and friendly, and know all of their regulars by name (of which there are many). I got the sate chicken sub and ohhhhhh wow. It was by far the BEST Vietnamese sub I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to bring my husband here as I know he’ll enjoy it just as much as me!

It was definitely worth the wait! There are long lines, on any day. I can't even suggest a good time to go.

I was told to come at 10.30 when the store opens and as you can see it's crowded and mind you there are people behind me, as well.

YOU CAN PAY BY CARD, I carried cash due to some reviews but dw you can pay online. I had the Beef Sate and it was sooo YUM.

I can confirm this sub is the best viet sub in Calgary.

Quite possibly my favourite part of stopping through Calgary. Small shop, family owned and run, no seating inside (takeout only). There's almost always a small line outside. Don't even bother asking why, just go.
What option do I recommend? Yes.

The Subs are good here. But the reliability of the place being open makes me want to choose to go elsewhere like around the corner. Please update hours. There has been many times where I have shown up and the closed sign is up during opening hours. Skip the dishes picking up but doors closed sign up illuminated sign off during regular hrs. I am very positive that they have a certain quantity of subs and when they sell out and once they reach their quota for the day of how many they want to sell they close the doors. I remember going there later on in the day one time and they said they had one sub left and me and my girlfriend each wanted one. We could have shared but after letting him know we came along ways paid for parking he decided to give us the Sub from tomorrows stock. I have gone there many times and have seen the sign say close around 1530pm-1600pm despite it saying they are open until 5pm. I decided to start calling before coming down. One week they said it was sooo busy we sold out over the phone, another week same thing, another week …we are out of subs before coming down. I guess this seems to be a sales tactic sell a certain amount and than when they reach the number close early cause it seems this happens more than a handle of times. Please update hrs than online. I use to go there after work many times as I don’t work in downtown area. It gets a bit annoying after awhile when they don’t have enough Subs and run out come late afternoon time. I guess they are very confident in the business they do. I won’t be going back no more chances. I have found some other Vietnamese subs Banh Mi shops Downtown that are well priced have more meat on Beef sate, Chicken sate sandwich (assorted) with a variety of meats not just two styles.

Wow I absolutely loved the super chicken & beef sub. Just an explotion of flavour! So so good. The prices are so good the service is amazing, has a family vibe to it. 100% recommend.

They make good sandwiches. But i love thai tai the most for sandwiches, bubble tea and everything they make.

The best viet subs in the city, by far.

The line can be long during the "lunch rush" but it is worth it.

The best satay beef viet subs in Calgary. I've tried a bunch of places (my tho, Saigon deli, Nhu Y, etc) and this is still my fave. There's almost always a line, and it can be a bit of a wait sometimes, but it's worth it.

One of, if not the best, Vietnamese subs in Calgary. Make sure to get there early before they sell out!

Best Sub here in Calgary! I don't understand the complaint with the taste, if you like other shops, go there lol. I hate the fact that people be advertising against this small restaurant which I love.

This is my first stop always in Calgary. Satay beef is the way. If you’re fragile get the chicken.

Best banh mi I've ever had and it's not even close. Everything about their sandwiches is amazing - bread, meat, pate, salad, all of it is delicious. And for less than $10! Only problem is the queue at lunch time, which can be anywhere from 0-40 mins+. Call ahead to order and/or see if they are busy.

Gross. Couldn't finish it. Every other Vietnamese sub place I've been to has better subs.

Excellent subs, visited for the first time today and I'm very impressed. I'll gladly come back!

Been going here since I was a kid. It’s my favourite spot of all time! Definition of hole in the wall spot with the best banh mi west of Vietnam!

Please update your times. Drove 40 mins today to get here and your hours claim you were open till 6pm. Got here at 4: 18 and it was closed. For someone who comes often that was soooo annoying!

Wanted to try out this “high rated banh mi” place. There’s a long line, so was hoping for good results! Ordered 2 banh Mi’s for me and my boyfriend. One of them was 95% bread, 5% filling. The banh ni in overall tasted bland and not much flavour. Not sure what the hype is about. Check out Banh mi nhu y if you are in the 17th ave SE area, 100% so much better price wise and with flavour! The line and the food wasn’t worth it.
