Thuro installed a new sewer liner out to the alley. I am extremely happy with their work and product. I would highly recommend them!

I own a 1956 home that experienced a sewage backup resulting in significant damage to my newly renovated basement.

After wasting considerable money on various Plumbing companies who charged copiously for main line auguring and video & then overly priced, complex quotes that would have destroyed much of my new concrete pavement, I contacted both the City of Calgary 311 (Russell)
City of Calgary, District Supervisor, Sewers (Water Treatment Services Dept) ) and Thuro Inc.who were referred to me by two neighbors, one of whom had their main Service line replaced by Thuro Inc.last year. Thuro Inc.is indemnified with the City of Calgary which is relevant when choosing an organization to conduct such complicated work.

Both the City of Calgary Sewers Dept. & Thuro Inc.were an absolute delight to contract. They both worked together to coordinate the various stages and kept me informed of everything, without taking advantage of my situation as some others had attempted. They were both ethical, professional and so incredibly easy to work with. Far more cost effective than any of the other companies whom I had consulted when considering every option.

Thuro Inc.determined that the existing pipe had enough integrity to remain & required only a complete blow-in liner instead. It is a preferred method in cases such as mine because the liner adheres to the wall of the original pipe & hardens uniformly as concrete would but better as it is completely waterproof & seamless meaning that tree roots will never infiltrate my main line as they would regular pipe wherever the pipe adjoins other sections.

Ultimately, this option was less expensive & will last longer. Thuro Inc.was more cost effective & reliable than the other options whom I had considered. Thuro Inc.has integrity & highly skilled experts, a win-win for clients & The City.

Thuro Inc.also installed a back flow valve in my basement as an extra precaution at my request. Their Plumber, Peter, neatly cut my existing LVP flooring, removed the concrete, excavated by hand & installed a new back flow valve. Once it was approved by a City Code Inspector, Peter filled in the site w/ dirt & new concrete. I will have a removable floor panel added there at a later date. Peter left my property in clean condition. He conducted the work in a timely manner & with as little disruption to my home as possible.

Eve Henty was on site numerous times throughout the project. She has an impressive knowledge base and both are true professionals in every regard.

Replacing or repairing the main service line from one's home to the City Sewer is a two stage process & requires the services of a company such as Thuro Inc.and The City of Calgary who can ONLY deal with the portion of the main service line that is on their side of a property. Thuro Inc.also coordinated the necessary City Code Inspectors. All jobs passed.

One must understand that the City of Calgary has a plethora of ongoing similar projects because of the increasing demand for the aging infrastructure to be replaced: the City may not be able to coordinate their schedule at the same time as I was so fortunate to have secured.

The day following the completion of the project at my home by the exceptional Thuro Inc, The City of Calgary arrived to begin their well managed excavation & replacement of their side of my property.

Having consulted various companies I highly recommend Thuro Inc.for any similar projects - & indeed all of your plumbing & gas needs be they residential or commercial. Thuro Inc.w/ Eve Henty & Peter were a delight & made a major project as easy, seamless & cost effective as possible.

Going on day 3 without water after they broke the water main in our complex. It's almost 11am and no one is on site. Poor communication. Shoddy work. Wouldn't hire this company again.

This contractor broke our townhouse complex’s water line and left us without water for over twelve hours and counting. We still have no water.

I had tree roots in my sewer line and had Thuro install a liner. Eve was pleasant to coordinate with and they got city of Calgary to pay half which made it an affordable fix.

Dakota, Charlie and Eve work as a most efficient Team. We had a serious problem with our main 4'' line just before Xmas. They got us through that and now that we have a liner installed which is our new main 4'' sewer line we are all good for as long as we will need the service. Peace of mind a beautiful thing. Had to have our sewer line replaced at our house. Fantastic service from start to finish. Thuro did a pipe burst from the city mainline to the house. It was done as scheduled and completed on time with no issues. Dakota and Charlie were very efficient and professional and explained everything in detail as to the process involved. Doing a pipe burst saved us from excavation of our front yard and having to remove 2 healthy spruce trees. For the work I had done I received a qoute from another company for $8000. Thuro did it for $3200. Excellent honest service.

I'd been having sewer line back-up problems due to pipe degradation and tree roots (house built in '63). Had a plumbing company have a look and told me that pipe bursting was the only possible solution at about $20k.pretty stressful news. I held out for a few months and in that time, coincidentally my next door neighbor was having her pipe liner install by Thuro. I asked about her experience and she said they were fantastic so I gave them a call to come by and give me a second opinion. They inspected the line and told me I could do a pipe liner which is a significantly less expensive option AND they would handle coordinating with the City of Calgary to pay for there chunk of the pipe which was significant. It was a huge relief.

We booked a date, the guys were nice and organized. It's an old house with a weird layout so it was not exactly straight forward, but they just problem solved and figured it out and didn't tack on a bunch of extra charges or anything like that. They needed to breakup a bit of concrete to access the cleanout (most houses won't require this) but it was not actually that big of an ordeal - they re-poured the concrete before they left. Whole process was 6 hours or so. Everything is working great now. Very happy with the outcome, the customer service, not having to deal with the city, the process was quite painless and it was literally a fraction of my first quote. Highly recommend Thuro.

We hired Thuro Inc.to repair 2 sags on our sewer pipe. They did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend them. We hired them to re-do a repair we initially hired a private contractor to do and the private contractor left us with deficiencies. Not only did Thuro make sure the repair was done correctly, they were also able to present the repair needed on the City's side to the City and get approval from them to repair their side of the sewer. Thuro's contractors were very professional, polite and did a phenomenal job all around. The site was cleaned up nicely, they really took their time and we are so grateful for the work they did!
