Tire Pirates

Tire Pirates was a very welcomed change from the normal service one receives at an auto shop. Jeff was friendly and efficient, getting me in and out in just over an hour. I had purchased 4 Winters online with an oil change (supplied my own oil and filter), and paid under $750. INSTALLED!
I can't remember the last time I've had installation included in the price of the tires. Every other tire shop in Calgary that I was able to find a website or inventory on was easily $900+ not including the oil change. Even most Canadian Tire charges between $12-$25 per tire for installation. I don't get why more shops don't build these costs into the price of the tire, more people are turned off when that online quote shows over another $100 in fees.
I actually paid less than my online quote was, again when was the last time you've paid less for anything in the past 3 years.the true honest auto shop isn't dead.

I came in to get an O2 sensor replaced. The guys fixed it up quickly and my check engine lights are now gone. Highly recommend this place if you need work done in your cars. They have cool tires too.:)

Great place to get tires. Jeff was knowledgeable and helped me select tires for both my vehicles. The best part was the price, definitely the best deal in Calgary.

Great deal on tires. Bought summer & winters from them on rims & they switch them over every spring and fall for free.

I took my car to them this winter and they put on 4 new tires at a really good price! I will be back, I was very impressed with their service and pricing.

Ive been dealing with Pirates on/off for past 12 years, They usually take care of new tires for me. They are always less than any other tire provider who I've found and they do good work. I recommend this place to anyone who needs tires I visit Barlow location only but they have one in Chinook as well.

These guys are awesome and super helpful, I recently got a dually and they were super helpful in helping me understand what I needed for rims and helped me source a spare tire and wheel too. They came recommended to me and I'm definitely recommending them too, glad to have people I can rely on. I got an appointment next day before a snowfall which was super helpful, they were one of the only companies who actually had stock of the tires I wanted, and their pricing was actually the best too and included free installation. Highly recommended.

These guys brought me in right away to fix a flat tire, they were quick courteous and professional, I highly recommend the shop for all your tire needs.

I had a slow leak in my tire and called Saturday morning. They got me right in and because I bought the tires there it was free. Answered a lot of questions for me. They are the best!

I needed a safety inspection for a dodge ram 1500 pickup truck. I had a very positive experience dealing with the pirates.

0 Star! Not happy with this place, Purchased 4 new tires and had them installed with a wheel alignment. Got the car back they said "everything is good". Noticed my front right tire was 5 psi higher than the others. So i went to correct it as that was quite odd. After that car pulled to the right. Went back to ask them what happened and they said the car is fine and we checked it blah blah. My car is no longer safe to drive. Requested my alignment sheet to check the work they did and they have refused to give it to me. BEWARE, they didn't know i was a mechanic and they tried to hide a poor alignment job by over inflating one tire.

On top of that they obviously cant balance 20" rims. Tires vibrate at 70km so i took it back to ask them to repair it and they said my rims are bent. They sure weren't vibrating when i brought the car in. There solution was to put the back tire on the front. Guess what! Car still vibrates at 70km. Such a typical sleezy mechanic thing to say. Rims bent and alignment is perfect. LOL. You cant fool another mechanic, i feel bad for the customers that wouldn't of caught these dirty little tricks they tried to pull.

Took car to dealer and now drives straight and no vibrate. Get your shop together JEFF. Don't treat customers like this in this day and age. You never know whos going to come in. Reply to my emails and give me a refund for your fraud work. Ignoring me lead to this review. So professional i must say.

Reasonable tires, but great for help. I was in a jam and they got me fixed up and sent away. Sometimes it's the help that matters most.

They didn’t treat me like an idiot and didn’t try to hard sell me anything! Friendly and helpful.

2 of the 3 employees were completely unmasked inside the office, with no barrier between them and me, and no attempts to distance. The person helping me was unmasked both when I dropped off and picked up my car. (at the time of my visit, we're in stage 1 and masks are mandatory in workplaces)

I was charged over $100 for just an oil change, and the quote for an inspection was double what we were quoted elsewhere. For that price I'd rather go someplace more conveniently located (I essentially hung out in the parking lot for an hour while my car was serviced).

The person I dealt with was pretty gruff and unpleasant, too, just for the icing on top. Like I was bothering them for coming in for my appointment.

Best deal on tires I could find plus they will change my summer & winter tires (both on rims) for life for free as I bought both my winters & summer tires from them.

Worst.shop.they will make you change unnecessary parts.
DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Can't say I'm impressed. Said my car would be done at three. I showed up early and I had double checked and told three again. At 330 I asked buddy to check in the car and got told they were just starting the work and it's at least another hour.

This cost me hours of work, not being able to grab my kids from school and having to pay for someone to watch them as I was stranded waiting for my bloody car.

I appreciate that they were honest and let me know when I asked but an hour after it was supposed to be done is a little much. No one mentioned re torquing tires. No documentation to show what was done for the alignment.

That all being said. Jeff and Jason were very friendly and happy folks. No one was rude, just consider it quite unprofessional

Brought my car in for new winter tires. Ended up having a mechanical issue, which was inconvenient for both of us. They did everything in their power to make the situation as expedient and painless as possible. I appreciate everything you guys did for me!

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE, they quoted me a price over the phone and they changed it on me after they completed the job and claimed that I mis-heard it!
Very poor business practices with extremely unprofessional attitude

They plundered less gold then competitors i called, fast and kind. Faint smell of rum wafting from the shop. Was disappointed by the noticeable lack of eye patches, but overwhelmed by the bounty of tires available.

I went to Tire Pirates after I had a flat tire after a piece of Theypladtic got lodged in the tire. They patched it up for $30! I went to another place first and was told I new a whole new tire for $250. So glad I went and checked out Tire Pirates, they saved me a lot of much needed money!

I had a sensor issue they changed the sensor then they look deeper into the problem after the fact they said it was all good but Gage still jumps left to right it like they never fixed it spent $400for nothing thanks Jeff BEWARE BEWARE BUYER BEWARE sensor did not have to be changed piss poor work also my cab of the truck smell

Hands down the best place to get tires and rims. Jeff and his team are amazing and the turnaround time is lighting fast! I have and will continue in the future to use this location to get tires and wheels! Steller prices and knowledgeable staff are hard to find these days!
