I don't go anywhere else for anything tire-related, if I can help it. These guys (especially Sergio from the front desk) are probably the best I've dealt with for anything automotive.

Not only did they save me a ton of money today with some great advice they gave me a little over a year ago, but when nobody in the shop side was free to put the tire back on my car, Sergio came out to the lot and did it himself, and didn't charge me a cent for it.

I cannot recommend highly enough.

Tire Pirates were able to get me in quickly, were priced very competitively, and their service was solid. Especially with the winter rush, I was very pleased with how fast they got my tires in and on my vehicle. I'll definitely be back!

These guys know their stuff. The earn profits through hard work and integrity which sells a higher volume of tires. Some tire shops can’t compete so they have to gouge you to turn a profit but not these guys. Quality work and low prices, what more could you ask for? Very good guys) but one advice, do not hang up the phone on your potential customers, even if they seem to you anoying.

Got winter tires from these guys in January quick friendly service but what tops it is I hit a pot hole yesterday and put a small cut in my side wall I was sure I needed a new tire but I brought it in to them and they assured me it was just cosmetic and sent me on my way free of charge after ordering in a tire for me and glueing the small cut very impressed with this place definitely would recommend

Small town feel without the bigotry. And as an openly queer person in Calgary nowadays, it was really appreciated.
I had a tire emergency and they had me safely back on the road with two new tires fairly quickly. Excellent prices and service. 10/10 would recommend. Will be returning.

Excellent service! Had a lift kit installed on my 2004 Chev Tahoe, new shocks, new rims and new KO2s and wheels alignment.

Brought my car in to fix my tire. They didn’t do anything at all. Just said there were no issues and peace out. Took it to an actual mechanic and not someone hired directly out of labour ready and they took a 1 inch spike out of my tire and patched it lol. Wow. Good job guys!

We tried Tire Pirates out with our fleet vehicles and were totally impressed with the service and pricing. Sergio has gone the extra mile to accommodate our scheduling as we mostly have our trucks out of town and only get in town for a day or two. Tire Pirates is now our go to tire supplier!

I have been going to Tire Pirates Chinook for 6 years now and this is the ONLY place I will take my vehicle. The staff is very knowledgeable, kind and have gone the extra mile for me on several occasions. They are very reasonably priced and I trust them fully with my vehicle. Tyson is the best mechanic I’ve ever seen and always makes sure my vehicle is working in tip top shape. I HIGHLY recommend Tire Pirates Chinook!

I wanted a very specific tire, I compared tires prices from 4 vendors, Tire Pirates was the cheapest. Communication with the location was quick, easy and hassle free. I dropped wheels off in the morning and they were ready in a couple hours - even though I told them they could keep them as long as needed! Will definitely work with them again!

I’ve been to tire pirates chinook on 61st Ave Calgary many times over the years. They are always kind, polite, and accommodating. I was in twice in the last few months, buying winter tires and then getting a flat tire. Their dedication to service and quality work is outstanding! Even during a pandemic!

The last time I went in I got a knife blade stuck in my tire on the way to work. I called them and they said they were happy to help. After work I towed the car at 2AM after waiting for a tow. The staff called me at 8: 50AM saying car was ready to go!

A friend recommended these guys to me and I can see why. The guy at the counter was extremely friendly, the service was super fast (less than an hour for a tire leak) and the price was very reasonable.

Super friendly, knowledgeable staff who are always so honest and helpful when weighing costs and options. The only shop I’ll go to for tires and repairs.

I was there Thursday night with a flat tire issue which they got a tire rushed to the shop and put on within 30-40 minutes. And also they threw in a free spare tire Incase I ran into an issue like that again. So I 100% would recommend Tire Pirates the staff there is really friendly and have a good sense of humor to boot

Very professional, friendly, and customer-focused service, in addition to some of the best prices in the city for new tire installation. I made an oops on the size of tires I needed, and they were super understanding. They did what they could to make sure I got the right tires super quickly, despite it being their busy season and my mistake. Highly recommend!

They fixed my car tire problem quickly! I was very impressed. They were the kindest people I've ever met. If you have a problem with your tires, you should definitely go here!

My son recommended this company highly. My brief initial encounter with them was very good. I have owned multiple vehicles since my teenage years. I drive in a specific style that uses mostly gentle braking so I was horrified when, during a routine oil change visit, my dealership reported that my brakes needed an urgent overhall, including machining rotors.

In my sixty years of ownership, I have never had this issue so I had Tire Pirates check my braking system, without telling them what the dealership recommended.

On completion, the employee handed me the keys with these words, which tell tge entire story - "Your brakes are perfect. Nothing needs to be done. " Did this unnamed dealership mistakenly think that they would take financial advantage of me because of my grey hair?

This independently confirmed what I already knew, so Tire Pirates will get my future business.

This business is absolutely the best! They are so honest and reliable, being a family of all women you always run the risk of being taken advantage of because most of us are not mechanically inclined. Sergio and the staff there are absolutely amazing!

I live nearby and have driven by the Chinook location for years. I needed tires for my truck so I called them up, got a decently priced quote and dropped the vehicle off the next day. The truck was ready ahead of schedule I was so impressed with my experience that I took our daily driver in for a new set of tires a few days later. Great shop with a great staff.

Highly recommend! Honest, very helpful and friendly. I didn’t realize they do more than tires - would recommend them for any service. I had my brakes replaced here and was very happy with the service and price.

Started going to fire Pirates late last year after my daughter bought tyres from their Foothills branch. Got a good set of 17" winter tyres on rims for $1000. Have also had oil change and seasonal tyre changeover from them, always excellent prices.
The staff know their stuff and you can ask them any questions and they're open about the cost and what needs doing.
Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic customer service. They have a service to handle mask exempt customers, just call ahead first. Great prices. Work completed on time with no issues. I will be coming back here for sure!

The skid plate on my parents Van was cracked and as we were right by this shop, pulled in and they had us in and out within 15 minutes and didn’t even charge us for fixing it (think it was a simple easy solution) Anyway they were all super kind and helped us out. High recommendation. Due to the kindness we will definitely be getting winter tires here next year.

Great staff; friendly & polite. Terrific prices. I asked them to check my brakes while replacing my tires. They were honest and didn't sell me on new brakes. They are a full mechanic service as well. I'll definitely go to them for all my repairs. Thank you

Made an appointment two weeks out. Showed up 8am that morning for tire swap. Left the car for the day. Returned at 4 NOT done, nothing. Waste of my time. Not recommended.

Best price and fantastic service for brand new winter tires. I have large rims and limited options and the staff at Tire Pirates found something that worked for me and got me in as soon as they could! Really happy with their work and service, was referred by a family friend.

I was in desperate need of new winter tires and had done extensive research into the best tire dealers in Calgary.

Tire Pirates has my vote and all my future service. They had the tires I was looking for and the brand I bought also came with a mail in rebate that I was unaware of.

They were efficient and thorough. The best part was that installation and balancing was included with the purchase of the tires. Most competitors charge a steep fee for that service.

Not to mention they were done within an hour. Tire Pirates is the place to go to get all the best deals on tires, prices and service.

Great prices and great service! They do get a little busy, so last minute is not always available. When I drop off my car it is usually completed before the time allotted.

Such a great experience going here to get my tires changed over for the season. Tyson and Sergio are so friendly and great to work with and go out of their way every time to ensure satisfaction and safety. By far, tire pirates has the best service and prices I have come across. Tyson and Sergio were absolutely amazing! I came in today in a really big bind; Yesterday i got a flat tire while driving and thismorning woke up to an email saying my employment had been terminated.having very little money to my name i came in to see if my tire could be repaired. Unfortunately it was to far gone and could not be fixed but these amazing 2 people turned my whole entire week around! Not only did they help me out and get me a tire for my jeep but they worked with my financial situation and made sure i was able to drive my vehicle again! Would absolutely come here again! 10/10 Thank you guys sooooo soooo much! It truly means alot to me!

I bought new tires (installed) and an alignment in November 2018, and was happy with the service. I did get "the call" saying I needed a camber kit ($83 installed) for the LF side. But all good. I returned in September 2020 for a tire rotation and another alignment. Sure enough, I got "the call" again. Almost the exact same words, but this time for both sides. $200 total. $100/side over/above the alignment cost. I declined. When I went to pick up the vehicle, I asked explicitly "Did the tech say that I absolutely need camber kits for both sides to provide more adjustment? " "Yes, no doubt. " OK, I gave him the receipt from last time where it showed that I had bought a camber kit (installed) for the LF side. Suddenly, "Well, it wasn't me that called you. It was the guy in the office, I'll get him. " The guy in the office ran out to talk to the tech. Came back. "Well, it's really the Right side that needs the adjustment, so you need a camber kit for that side. " I asked if he could see how there might now be a trust issue? "Yes, but you need one for the right side". No apology. No interest in getting the vehicle back in to get to the bottom of what happened or why they were asking me to buy something that they had installed last time. If I had been the manager of the shop I would (a) profusely apologized; and (b) asked to bring the vehicle back in to get to the bottom of what happened. Was it the tech from last time? The tech from this time? Something dishonest? Or just lazy diagnosis? Anyway, I took the vehicle to another shop. They confirmed that a camber kit had been put in on the left side previously. So the 2018 service was still good and I am happy with that. But this visit? Was I being scammed? By the tech? Management? Both? I don't know. Best case is that it was a lazy diagnosis by the tech, not even looking before saying I needed a kit. Was the front office implicated? I don't know.but at minimum it was bad management to not want to get to the bottom of it. I guess I would still potentially buy tires there, but would be very skeptical of tech diagnosis. Two other positives: they didn't try to charge me for the aborted alignment ("Just go ahead and take it") ; and the individual item charges for a camber kit and install (for example) are less than elsewhere. I give the 2018 service a 5* and this visit a 2* (giving benefit of the doubt that it was lazy service and not dishonest). So combined 3*

Been coming here a long time, very forthwright and honest. On multiple occasions they have done free diagnostics for me and try to offer the cheapest fixes if asked for. Will always come back to Serj and his guys.

Dropped my car off for a wheel alignment and later received a call letting me know the control arms on the car had gone bad and that a tire alignment would not benefit the vehicle. They offered a fair quote and did not pressure me to have the work performed either. Leaving the shop, Brian, the mechanic who inspected my car caught me and explained exactly why the alignment would be wasted on the current control arms. The guys here are knowledgeable, professional, and honest, I will definitely be returning.

Pirates nonetheless. I bought a brand new car back in January. Three days later I take it to the shop to have snowtires fitted. Tires were good, service was good. However, a day later I notice that all my four Mercedes tire caps are missing. Got in contact and the response was that they were never in the car (sure Mercedes cars won't come with them).

Several months later I am checking my spare tire kit and jack: well, both missing and turns out that the ONLY place I've ever left this car at since I bought it was with them.

*PS: When swapping tires to summer ones, their guy was careless and ripped the trunks' rubber water protection after tossing the tires into the trunk.

I was very happy first with the people and then the business. Was relaxed atmosphere. At the end very happy with my new tires. RRRRRR

I have gone to Tire Pirates Chinook for new tires as well as service for flat tires and other front end issues. They have never overcharged me and have even saved me money by being honest about work that does or doesn't need to be done. I never feel I will be sold goods or services I don't need but when I need work done, I trust them to do it right!

Brought my travel trailer in to swap out the cheap trailer tires that come with it, I was in and out in 30 minutes! I'm impressed with the fast service! The guys here are friendly and nice. Price is good as well =)

I was recommended to try Tire Pirates Chinook from a close family friend recently and I am so thankful I did. In the past (at other places) I have been upsold on services that weren't necessary because of my lack of car knowledge and at Tire Pirates I had the complete opposite experience!

Both times I've come to tire pirates they have been super professional, super quick, and never recommended anything that wasn't absolutely necessary. Pricing is great too. I will definitely be a customer for life and recommend this place for all of my friends! Went in to get 1 tire mounted and balanced was told there was 2 people ahead and if i would like to pay them to go ahead of them. (1) didn't realize they only had 2 employees working there (2) the guy up front needs to take some customer service course and not be so ignorant.

In August on a Friday I discovered that one of my tires was likely not going to make the trip I had planned to BC the following day. I called everywhere locally and all of the shops in Red deer would be closed Saturday or did not have a 17" tire to match mine. The tire pirates minutes before 5pm ordered in my tire and promised it for 8am the next day. I drove up and when I got there the tire hadn't arrived yet. The guy in the shop knew I was panicking a bit. He assured me it would arrive withing the hour and they would get it on asap. I walked to Tim's with my kids and before we were done our breakfast sandwiches they had us ready to go on our trip through the mountains!

Gave me great advice on the tires I would need. Told me the truth that I only needed the one tire replaced, when others told me I would need both replaced. Gave me a great quote and stuck to it! I’m so glad that others recommended Tire Pirates to me and will definitely recommend to others!

I have my tires changed out each year at Tire Pirates Chinook but also have them do repairs on our two cars. Great job on a recent strange noise coming from my engine. The had it fixed quickly and at a very reasonable cost. Tyson was a pleasure to deal with and kept me informed throughout the whole repair. Highly recommend Tire Pirates!

I just got 2 brand new tires sterring wheels alignment, and there customer service was amazing, not only did they provide me with excellent service but great deals and free oil change as they know I'm moving to BC next week. I recommend everyone to go to them and they are straight to the point don't find problems just to make more money which I truly appreciate

As they were closed after business hours.as for myself i was in a emergency for a Lug nut key with one of my customers vehicle half way across the city, not knowing which key i needed they offers to let me take 5 DIFFERENT KEYS to try and see which one would work to help us out.turns out the first lug nut key i tried worked. WITHOUT THESE GUYS I WOULD HAVE HAD A MAJOR ISSUES.even when they are not on operating hours they still manage to put in 110% effort for their customers. YOU GUYS ROCK! Here is a story for you all: Another shop told me my tires were out of round, all 4 no less, and that they needed to be replaced to fix the vibration that was showing up through in the steering wheel. The tires were 1 year old. Brandon, the tech, balanced my tires, vibration is gone and have the same tires I came in with! Total professionals that do what they say and say what they do: I am now a client for life: don't go anywhere else for your tire requirements, best I've ever dealt with, period.
