Toad 'n’ Turtle Pubhouse & Grill

We had supper with family and well we waited well over a hour as other got served, and the food was so dry and bland, the brisket special was so dry, nachos we asked for no peppers and got peppers and very little cheese, fish had no taste at all, people got up to leave during our visit because lack of service.

Had a date night with my wife last night and chose to try this place and have dinner. Big mistake, my wife ordered the beef bone on mash. It was mostly just fat on a bone, very little meat, my wife left still very hungry. Even worse though is the fish and chips (DO NOT ORDER THIS EVER), the fish was overly seasoned like someone dumped a jar on it and to top it off I was up all night with food poisoning, abdominal pain and vomiting.

This was not worth the $70 we paid and We won't be back. Thinking this place needs a kitchen inspection

Ordered the Chicken Club through Skip, food arrived in a timely manner and was delicious. Highly recommend the chicken club

Girls in kilts and wednesday wing night what more do you need.also try the maui ribs they're so bloody good.dog friendly outdoor patio.

Refuses to pay my final cheque unless I pay them $25 because I didn't pick it up in time.didn't know I had to pay to leave a cheque there for a couple months.thought they would mail it.

Don't blatantly lie. I never yelled at your staff nor did I yell at you. I called asking why I never received my final cheque. You said I'd have to pay $25 to come get it. I thought it would have been mailed to my address on file, she said there was no attempt on their side to mail it and since it had been a couple months they now are charging me to pay me for the work I did. I said that was illegal and I'd be calling WCB, she hung up.there was no yelling lol. She's now trying to manipulate her way out of this.

Truths are:
All the staff are drinking on shift including the kitchen.
I've seen staff go home from food poisoning from eating the tuna poke bowl.
Multiple staff have quit due to manipulation of their pay. Ie not being paid for the work they've done.
Of course they deny this but I worked there 2 months and saw this happen multiple times with kitchen staff.
They also hold you tips unless you give 2 weeks to this hell hole.
Still waiting to be written my final cheque for the work I did there. I will not be paying the 25 thats for sure.

I've probably tried most wings in Red Deer at this point. Toad for sure has the best wings in town. Full Stop.

Defiantly got food poisoning from the slimey chicken. Ate a few bites, checked it, thought “naa Im just psyching myself out” ate half the chicken wrap and was feeling really off, so never finished the other half. I now feel sick, my whole stomach is very hot feeling and my whole face is flush, feels like I could throw up. Im hoping it doesnt get worse than this. Not going back. Not a good first time there.

Had the beef dip and a couple of beers. Overall quite good. The service was excellent, with friendly staff. Really nice building. Worth checking out!

Service was not the greatest, the waitress would rather be on her phone and talk to the bartender. I didn’t find the menu anything great. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Waited in a fully booth while they served new arrivals. We all walked out 20 minutes later. No service

The food was very flavorful. Bacon Cowboy Caesar and Red Friar Truck Ale were perfect companions to our meal. Pet-friendly patio is AMAZING! Our service was EXCEPTIONAL!

The wing were amazing but the fish and chips were a huge disappointment. Burnt batter, cold fries and nasty coleslaw.

Our second time eating here and the service was the worst we have ever had food quality was ok but never got a refill on our drinks had to go grab the waitress for a to go box and waited 15 minutes for the box asked for the bill it never came we went inside and paid a different waitress then she asked if i wanted a receipt but when i didn’t leave a tip because of bad service she just walked away and never gave me my receipt will never go back to many other restaurants with better service

As we're just about to cozy down into a booth at about 1030pm on Thursday Aug 10th, a young woman who is apparently the server rolls up. The first thing out of her mouth, before hi or welcome or anything else is "We've run out of wings. "
"Oh, and we've run out of drink specials too. "
Delivered with some glib air.of what?
Oh yeah.
'I couldn't be bothered to help you if it were my job, '
and
'I'd rather you just left now so we don't have to go to the hassle of making you feel comfortable in here. '

Cool building and fantastic service, best dog friendly patio we’ve been to lately (enclosed space, soft flooring, and the manager brought us out a water bowl and treats!)

The Maui ribs are fantastic, sweet and smokey.
The soups here are always a good choice, today's was beef stroganoff and I believe they use brisket in it, the flavor was top notch.

The wings are Amazing and they have a pet friendly patio! My doggy gets spoiled with a bag of treats and cold water!

Server was good however the food was not. It was terrible pub food with zero seasoning. The Yorkies were so stale not even the gravy softened them. We quietly paid our bill and left unfortunately to never return again. Save your money for somewhere else.

Service was a bit spotty. Need to look around the room when you are moving about the bar. Had to wait too long for bar service. Staff was friendly just need to be more attentive.

Would be nice to be able to hear playoff game. Waitress was very good and personal. Help to make dinner more enjoyable. Strongly recommend to go.
