The food here is fantastic - and the prices are great too! I have never ordered something that I didn't love! L have never dined in here, but I have popped in to grab take out and the restaurant looks wonderful!
Fair warning, if you come to eat in be prepared to wait a long time for food. They looked very busy with Doordash orders and the like, but it was crazy how we were basically ignored for over half an hour after placing our order, which was when our appetizers finally came out (alongside another table beside us who arrived later than us, suggesting they just prioritized app orders and then quickly pushed all of ours out).
The ramen was unfortunately mediocre. I got the black garlic tonkotsu, which was rich but lacked actual taste/seasoning.
I ordered a few pieces of sushi, and I'm glad I did. They were absolutely delicious and fresh. The few pieces I got saved this entire meal. The karaage was also very fresh and tasty.
My suggestion is to just order sushi if you come. And also be ready for a long wait, this is definitely not the place for a quick bite, but if you order the sushi you'll probably leave satisfied.
Very tasty! A good variety of items are available in the menu. The food came hot and savoury very fast. The chicken karaage was perfect. I tried the traditional tonkotsu and the ingredients blend in perfectly together; nothing too overwhelming.
Everything was clean and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Will definitely come back:)
I loved how they tried to accommodate me with vegan/veggie options. I wanted to enjoy a ramen soup so I ordered the the veggie ramen with chilli goma broth for a little spice. It was enough flavour for me. I also appreciated that their agadash tofu was not soaking in anything so they stay crispy until I eat them. Servers are always nice and friendly. The avocado roll is nice and big as well.
They also served really good sushi and appetizers when I used to eat fish as well. Thank you so much for being so accommodating and tasty!
Excellent ramen on multiple occasions! The broth is very tasty and a good selection. Price is unbeatable. Sushi is delicious as well. Highly recommend.
Had a good clean lunch here. Food came really quickly and the server was friendly and helpful. Large space with lots of seating. The interior reminded me of a bar more than a ramen or sushi restaurant. Lunch special was a good value.
We came here for lunch and got the black garlic tonkotsu ramen (it came with chashu rice) and the Hawaii donburi.
The ramen's broth was on the bland side, lacking flavor. The salt level was OK. The ingredients/fixins were a good match for the dish and were tasty. The chashu rice was too much rice for the chashu given (and many pieces were just fat). The donburi was heavy on rice and was not balanced. The sauce was sweet and did not have other flavors to compliment the dish.
The service was attentive and they were very friendly.
We came here on a whim. Service and atmosphere were great, place seemed to be brimming with customers. Appetizers and tempura were good. Very disappointed with the sushi though. The salmon, toro and unagi didn't taste very fresh, and the flavors were plain or seemed to be missing something to make it good. It is a ramen place tho, so perhaps we should've tried that instead. ️
We came for the ramen however The sushi here is decent and generous sized. The Ramen broth needs a bit of work it’s missing something. So -1 star for that. It’s still tasty but somethings missing keep trying and it’ll be perfect! I’d come back for just the sushi honestly!
Where back again and trying the chicken soup base on ramen.now they have the chicken broth.will see how’s the taste of the ramen. But their teriyaki beef roll was superb. Ok then we the ramen and it was so good… for sure we will be back here.
A good Ramen spot in NW.ample parking in front.there are different kinds of ramen to choose from - i got the spicy miso ramen and calamari - not the best ramen though but perfect for the cold weather that night.
It wasn’t even that busy and the service wasn’t the best. The tuna rolls were huge and were not easy to eat. I think they would do better doing a spicy mayo in them instead of the chili seeds, but that could just be personal preference. The ramen noodles, toppings, etc were really good — but the broth was lacking. If they made their broth more flavorful, then I think the ramen could be great instead of just okay/good.
On a scorching summer day, if you have completed your workout, please dont enter this place with your life saving drinks. You will be refused entry. Definitely wont be coming in the future if the store owner thinks they can make the drink money that way.
Came here because of all the great reviews and afterward I'm agreeing with all the negative reviews. First of all it isn't feel like authentic Japanese food, everything is close, looks similar but taste wise not quite there. I tried the traditional ramen since that is the only way to taste the base booth and it was very mild, favourless and no depth. The soft boiled egg felt like it was sitting out for a while and now overcooked. Noodles portions are a bit small and taste like the prepacked stuff you find at T&T, so while not terrible but definitely not great. The only positive for me was the pork, but there wasn't an option for how fat so it was quite fat and some people may have an issue with it. Sushi as mentioned before was all you can eat places quality and the rice keeps falling apart. So all it all, wouldn't come back unless I have to and if you crave ramen go elsewhere.
The tempura broccoli, tempura yam, and spring rolls were all completely terrible. The gyoza, edamame and crispy California roll were fine. The other 5 rolls we ordered were mediocre at best. A huge disappointment for a fairly expensive Saturday night delivery.
Good place for ramen. Good price, fast service, and decent sushi. Nothing spectacular but it’s definitely worth going back. Would go and get ramen here when I’m looking for something quick and nearby.
Couldn't take some photos. We were hungry so we were eating asa we received. I had been to here very beginning when they just opened. That time I wasn't satisfied so I didn't really go back. BUT, this time I could tell they got better. All of us enjoyed the Ramen. I would go back for sure. I don't need to look for Ramen restaurants downtown. Happy hour is only week days. I was a little disappointed. We visited on Sunday.
Good place for Ramen! Food was made fast and it was delicious. I'm a bit suspicious about their "wagyu beef", tastes no different than regular AAA beef. We stopped for a quick snack, but ended up with full stomachs lol Haven't tried their sushi this time. I'd visit this place if I'll be in the neighborhood
The service was awesome, it's a really nice place, and.the SUSHI was amazing! We plan to return many times.but we also really need to try the Ramen as that's more so what this place is known for! Really nice sushi rolls and sashimi, and great prices! A nice drink selection as well.
Awesome new option for ramen in the NW! All the elements of the ramen were executed quite well; usually new places struggle with their broth but they did a good job, it had nice depth to it while not being too salty nor too bland. A solid recommendation and much closer to home.
I had the Tonkotsu Black Garlic and it was divine! I love Ramen and they are definitely on the top of my list of favorite Ramen places in town. Definitely recommend to those who love ramen. It's a long ways but it is worth it
Super yummy and great service. Such a nice atmosphere too. We had super tasty tonkatsu garlic ramen and (spicy) tonkatsu specialty ramen as well as the fujiyama roll which was to die for! We will be coming back for sure
This was the second time I've been there, and the second time was just as good as the first! Now that they've added sushi as well, I'll definitely continue to come back. I had the black ramen bowl.
I am really glad that we have such a tasty place in Royal Oak area. Ramen soup was so rich and not too salty. Appetizers were also really good and kids finished all. I will definitely choose the place for family dining out.
Tried the chilli goma and shrimp tempura. Personally i like my broth a little more creamy but overall the broth tasted good the egg was cooked nicely and the tempura was really good. Will definetly come back to try another bowl. Food came out really quick too
Tasty soup base, not too salty but no too light. Pork chasu had strong pork smell and it was not as soft as other ramen places in town. The whole restaurant smells like so sauce.
Excellent ramen! Great flavor and not overly salty. The service was fast, accurate and friendly. Prices around $15 per giant bowl - well worth the money.
I stumbled across this ramen bar with my wife. We were across the street at a car dealership and wanted a quick lunch date option.
The food was great I had the black garlic tonkatsu. It was deliciously rich, the pork chasu was perfect. And the food was served quickly. I highly recommend this new ramen bar. The service was fast and professional and the food was legit Japanese and delicious.
I didn't bring my kids this time but I think they would love it. Expect to pay around $15 per person for Ramen.
