Ashley is the best hairdresser/ barber in Alberta hands down. She is super friendly, but what's important going there is a nice fade and beard trim. She always meet my expectations and I am a really picky person, so that tells a lot. She does the best fades out there with lots of attention. That's why she's the only one allowed to touch my hair/ beard. If she were to quit, then I'd be left with no haircuts for years until I find someone close to her talent.

Despite booking in with a specific stylist via the app, I wound up with another stylist, as the client who was before me decided to get extra services, which pushed my appointment back by 30 minutes.

While I understand these things happen, this was not the first time my appointment was delayed, or straight up skipped. I was not offered anything to make up for the fact I had already waited 25 minutes, plus the option to wait another 30+ minutes for the stylist I had checked in with online. I was offered to go in with another stylist, who I’ve had before. To my knowledge, he was an apprentice and he did an excellent job on my hair. I have zero issue with letting people LEARN, unlike some people - js.

What I do take umbrage with, is that the online booking system leaves much to be desired. While the staff are polite and apologetic, I would wish for a slightly higher level of customer service.

That said, I have only had two less-than-ideal experiences in the two or so years I’ve been coming to this location.

New to Airdrie and trying to find a good place to get my hair cut, I dropped in late yesterday and tried Tommy Guns on Veterans Blvd. The girls were great and I have to say Jan was awesome. Maybe the best haircut I’ve ever had! Thanks for a great experience. I’ll be back!

Please note this a one star review regarding the ever changing appointment system not my or my Grandsons haircut.
I have been a customer at this store since it opened and my Grandson has been coming with me every month since he was one, he’s now three. We have our haircut by Stacy and she is so good with my Grandson that he looks forward to going.
My problem is with your appointment system or lack of one. It’s been changing every time I call. I call first thing in the morning to book for the afternoon, this week I was told I had to call an hour before I needed to come in because booking to far in advance has an impact on the shops wait times. I am at a loss as to how having 2 haircuts at a specific time causes a wait time problem! We all have time commitments hence the need for appointments.
Disappointing, frustrating and annoying.
If your business model is going to be solely based on walk-in customers then I respectfully suggest you move to a shopping mall.

This place is amazing. Friendly smiles and wonderful atmosphere. This staff treat you like family. My barber, Stacy Leroy is professional and knows exactly how to tame my wild mane. She never disappoints. I recommend any of the staff at this location, I've never had a bad experience here. If you are in need of good laugh and conversation or the military (quiet and quick) experience. This staff can deliver what you want.

As always, personable and friendly staff. Jen at the Airdrie Crossing location (301 - 300 Veterans Blvd NW,  Airdrie) has always done an exceptional job for me. Never in a rush, and takes her time to ensure it just the way I would like it. I find Jen typically goes above and beyond to make the experience as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. Such as asking if I'd like a hot towel over my face while they message/wash the hair, which I find very relaxing. Making suggestions as needed to maintain/improve the hair style. Not to mention, always offering a coffee or pop when you come in and are waiting to be called. Even though the other locations are very good, this is my preferred location that I will continue to drive from out of town to because of the consistent above and beyond service I have always received. I'm actually in disbeliev that so many people 5 stared this location, I just wanted some "peaky blinder" haircut (fade on side 1-3 and longer slickback on top. The lady was able to accomplish the look about 75% of what I kind of hoped for but what got me was the beard trim, I went whole winter not shaving and was excited for haircut, she used clippers to shave my beard then hot towel for 1 minute and continued to clipper me - no shaving what's so ever, I purchased 20$ product for haircut and payd 80$ att he end, when I got home I noticed how bad my mustache was cut and one side long and one side treated. I got a bad rash the next day from where I got the clippers right to my skin just under chin on neck area as she did not use razor to shave me just clippers that were most likely not washer properly as per the rash. I'm never going back there again I don't really recommend this spot unless you just want to get clippered down and shorten hair they can't really do anything above that. Which is sad for a "barber" shop they didn't even trim my linger eyebrows - didn't touch them at all which should just be the part of ALL WINTER TRIM so I had to finish the haircut at home. And to just add to it the result of this haircut was badly covered with hair, usually barbers use the natural hair brush to brush your hair off and then blow you off with hairdryer make sure there is as least ammount of hairs as there can be on your shirt, I went for passport photos right after just covered in hair. The service was very iffy and the older Asian lady that gave me the haircut was very annoyed in general, looked like she did not want to be there at all with poor attitude so the result definitely shows on my haircut.

The hairstylist Olha was great. She cared about my appearance and she didn’t stop until I was happy with my haircut! Very nice service! Also the head massage is another level! 100% recommended!

Haircut was unbelievably uneven, had random chunks of hair that were inches longer than other places. Very disappointing.

I took my grandson who has autism here on October 22 to get his hair cut. Our stylist was Sarah and she did an amazing job. She greeted him as soon as we walked in, made him comfortable and sang to him the entire time she was cutting his hair. Sarah was very respectful of my grandson’s needs and went above and beyond to make his hair cut experience a positive one.

Stacy is the best hairdresser out there! Super friendly, outgoing, and thoughtful. I highly recommend her for anyone needing a haircut or shave!

It was great! They have an arcade game, tv’s and iPads to use while you wait. They are all kind and it’s great customer service. She did what my son (5years old) asked for and was really great to him.

Had the back of my neck done recently by Sarah. Very pleasant to talk to, the conversation came naturally. I know everyone is trying to make a sales, but their method is good and they showed me product that I would actually use.

Well Tommy guns has become the "First Choice", which was always my last choice. I will not return to any Tommy guns. Seems like they now only hire fresh out of school cutters and charge you even more now.

Went for a hair cut was terrible my hair was not blended properly, I wear my hair slicked back and he cut it so short it just stands straight up avoid this place at all cost. I've been going here for awhile now seems to just be trainees lately. Was getting my haircut and someone had to come fix it half way through and it's still the worst hair cut I've ever had.

Great experience all around from the barber to the receptionist. Everyone is kind, friendly, and listened to what my son wanted with his haircut. Thank you!

A very beautiful and wonderful women named Rebecca cut my hair. She was extremely polite and very warm and friendly. I felt very comfortable. She even had me chatting and I’m not really like that. I don’t usually leave reviews but I actually enjoyed the haircut experience, thank you.

I love getting a shave and a hair cut here. AJ is great he always talks sports with me and the staff are super friendly.

They accidentally cut of a huge chunk of my beard when I didn’t even ask to do anything with it. As the apology I was offered with a can of pop. Great experience with them.

First time I went in the barber was so after complaint, they gave me a complimentary haircut next time. Went in next time, got in the chair with Ashley and she's absolutely THE BEST. Been her regular since and I won't let anyone else touch my hair & beard but her in the future.

I'm always happy when I get my hair cut here. I am also satisfied with their Efforts to help limit the spread of COVID 19 while remaining open. I will for sure be returning.

44$ to fade the sides and clean up the neck.ladies working on me said she was a perfectionist but one side was faded an inch higher then the other. Even after pointing it out she didnt see it. In the end it was 95% to my liking but 44$.

Was refused service because I have been out of country within the past 14 days. Even after explaining I am a truck driver hauling essentials. Will not be back even after the pandemic is over.

Staff was very accommodating, they were close to closing yet still took their time and did a thorough job. Scalp massage was amazing and great attention to detail. Rebecca will be my new go to. Very easygoing and down to earth. Was impressed she took her time and wasn’t rushing because they were closing soon.

Back for a haircut after 3 months of "Lock down look". Stacy moved to Airdrie's North location and I was glad I was able to track her down. Stacy has been cutting my hair for a few years now and always does a great job. Glad you are back! Thanks.

After 2 months of lockdown, it was so nice to get my haircut done by my favourite hair stylist - Stacy Leroy. She saw me on time, gave me great service, and acutely took interest in me and what’s been going on lately. It was nice to get personal attention like that and not being treated like a robot just to get it done with and move to the next client. Stacy’s great attitude, care, respect, and attention to details is the only reason I keep coming back. Thank you Stacy! You’re awesome!

Went in to see Stacy this week. Even with all that is going on she was professional and friendly. The store was prepared for customers and was quickly adapting to the times. The time Stacy spends truely makes all my visits "He Time". I will be back to see you again soon!

The staff were very helpful and they take care of you immediately on arrival, the facility was spotless and clean. Stacy gave me another fantastic cut as usual, job well done by all!

Wanted a cut and would have gave a double tip but then asked if Calgary customers were allowed and was told yes. I told them Calgary still shut down and she said well that’s what management decided, found it unfair to to jeopardize Airdrie customers for their Calgary customers. They have just lost local customers when they catered to Calgary customers in lock down

I’ve been going to Stacy for years who has recently moved to this location. Always friendly and professional, and more importantly consistent with great haircuts. Highly recommend.

First time I've been to this location yesterday, because my normal hairdress Stacy from the other location didn't have a choice, but my experience here was very good, and great service from Stacy as per usual, I highly recommend her for anyone. One of the best hairdressers I've had. Good work

I will never be able to express how much we truly Value our barber Stacy! She has been cutting my husbands and our 3 year old sons hair since he started getting hair cuts. He will no longer let ANYONE touch his head except Stacy. She’s always SO friendly and just treats him like absolute gold. We are so very happy we have found her! It was nice to see Tommy's open again as I was in desperate need of a haircut (as I normally get one every 10-14 days). This was the first time I went to this location, as I live near the Sierra Springs shop and have went there for the last 4 years because of a couple Barbers I have been fortunate enough to have. After all, it is the Barber or Stylist that makes you come back, just like it is the Chef at a restaurant.you want quality! But after getting a text from my Barber Stacy that they were open again and she was working from this location, and the only reason that I go there (in the past it was also Courtney until she moved), away I went! If you have the chance, the cut from her is well worth it. Unlike many others in the Industry who have a total lack of customer service skills and instead make you feel as though you're no more than 'the next cut', 'get in and get out', Stacy takes the time to ensure the cut is the way I like it, the wash and head massage is worth it, and the conversation makes you feel like a valued customer. Having owned a Hair Salon myself for 10 years, I can appreciate what she offers and how lucky they are to have found her, because as they say, 'Good help is hard to find'! And in this Industry that definitely holds true! Looking forward to my next one!
