Tommy Gun's Original Barbershop

Went to Tommy guns as I had just moved to the area and wanted to try it out, big mistake. I’m not usually too picky about my hair but this guy butchered my haircut. I won’t say who just because I don’t want anyone to lose their job but it was that bad, I’d advise everyone and their dog to stay far away from this sad excuse for a barber shop. Not going to waste time to get my money back as I’ll just go to a real barber to fix my hair that looks like he took a weed wacker to. I should have known it was terrible when he didn’t hold a mirror up at the end so I couldn’t see it. Dont be left looking like an idiot on Christmas, do the right thing and avoid this place like Covid.

I used to get my beard trimmed here. I just called to book an appointment for this afternoon, they don't take reservations/ make appointments. Was told to show up an hour or so before I wanted my beard trimmed.

I might be stuck in the stone age but this is crazy. I'm not going to show up and hope you guys can work around my schedule. Will be looking for a barber who takes reservations moving forward.

It's too bad. I used to like this place.

I asked for a taper fade on my side burns and for my neck hair to be cleaned up, the entirety of the sides of my head were shaved, and the entire back of my hair was cut as well which I didn’t ask for. His excuse was “well I can’t do a taper in that small of an area” and instead of telling me that BEFORE he cut my hair, he just thought “f- it, I’ll do it how I want”. F- him, lost all the length I had and now I look like a peaky blinder.

I was a walk-in. Two other walk-in were sat after I had been waiting for 30 minutes. The difference between myself, and them. Complexion. Asked what was going on, they gas lit me saying something like I had just walked in. I tell everyone I meet about this. I would never set foot in a Tommy Gun anywhere ever again. I don't understand why your organization is okay with stuff like this. I felt like because I was a darker person they didn't want to touch my hair.

So kind to my young sons (their first haircut). Professional, fast, skilled, chose the cut for each that matched their personality, physical attributes, and hair behaviour. My boys haven’t stopped smiling and one now wants to be a barber! Drove from west of Olds and will make the trip again!

I wanted to try a new place for a haircut and because this was so close to my go-to Costco, I decided to give Tommy Gun’s a shot:) Marjan made my experience fantastic. She was super friendly, patient, and made my first time coming to Tommy Gun a fabulous one where I’ll be returning again. Thank you!

The hair cut and shave I had from this location was great. The people were friendly and showed care in their work. The atmosphere was wonderful.

Normally my experience with Tommy Guns is pretty good but my experience here was very lackluster. I believe the barber's name was Keston. The customer before me left upset stating worst haircut ever. Overheard a conversation with the host about previous bad haircuts and his attitude was basically "nothing is my fault, I know better than them".
Decided to go ahead and give him a chance. I could tell he was a bit frazzled from the previous customer, which is understandable, but hoped he'd step up his game.
His order of doing things was not what I would expect. Communication not very good. Didn't seem to really know what he was doing. He awkwardly washed my hair before asking what I was looking for or trimming the sides dry like is usually done on my thick curly hair. He asked if I'd like around my ears trimmed like its something extra, didn't trim or blend my sideburns at all. He somewhat got the idea of what I was looking for but generally a bit messy, not great attention to detail, and not super friendly. I will need to clean it up more myself or go somewhere else to finish it up properly.
Not a great experience and not the professional standard I expect from Tommy Guns.

I can’t say enough great things about Tamara (reception) and Brittney (barber). Both are amazing and treat me exactly how a valued customer should be. Tamara is easy to talk to and always remembers me when I walk in and I can’t rave enough about Brittney and how amazing of a barber she is. I won’t see anyone else or go anywhere else as I now only trust her with my hair and beard. She listens and is attentive to what I want and always makes me look amazing by the end of the service. She knows exactly what I want and like and she’s just so amazing.

I normally don't like going to "big box" shops, but they were awesome here! Half the price of my regular cuts and I feel I got a better beard trim. Def will be coming back! Brittany is great and really takes her time doing a great job! Highly recommended

Because of whoever cut my partners hair, I had to go buy clippers and fix his mistakes. I am not a hairdresser but simply paying attention to what I was doing and did a better job at making sure there was a proper fade. The haircut i was obligated to fix was an uneven slapdash job, I would not recommend going here until they do a better job at recruiting hairdressers that simply pay attention to what they’re doing and charging for and/or the management needs to make sure hairdressers are prepared for success.

Front desk ladies are friendly and accommodating. Brittney is fantastic, great attention to detail on haircut. I like the walk in option best for me with my schedule. Heritage Meadows location

I took my son who is 4 for a hair cut. I was told that there was a half hour wait. So I was gonna come back but my son didn’t understand that part. So I decided to stay at Tommy Guns to avoid a meltdown. The lady at the counter started looking at the schedule and noticed that some people were late for their appointments. Instead of us waiting for my sons time they took us in right away. That’s great customer service was blown away. Thank you so much. I think my son’s barber was Dylan he was so patient and kind to my son.

Great cut today in Heritage Meadows, as normal didn't get stylists name, but he did have 'a few tattoos'.

Been coming here for years, staff is always friendly, almost never have to wait for a cut.

Fast friendly service. Talented stylist. It's my kids favorite place to get a hair cut.

The service is great, and the relaxing, friendly atmosphere makes it easy to come back to.

I checked in online with zero wait time. I walked in a few mins later with another customer - the only 2 waiting. He checked in there and got called in front of me. Another customer came in a few mins later that had checked in online. He also got called ahead of me. 6 barbers on and when I ask my wait time it's still 8 mins after waiting 10 mins. I walked out.
