Faith was great imo. Blunt, to the point and she did a great job on my hair (idgaf about chit-chat). Had been working away from home the last 3 months so I came in with hair out of control and left looking clean. Happy with her cut, thank you Faith.

Ive been going regularly here since 2018 and Ive only had one bad experience a while ago with a staff member that I dont think even think is with them anymore cause I haven’t seen her since. Every other Employee always does a fantastic job. If you’re looking for somewhere reliable and consistently good quality (no matter the employee) this tommy guns is the best Ive found.

I Like the atmosphere and all the little extras that Tommy Gun's provides whereas most other places don't.

If I could give this place a zero I would! Awful experience from reception to stylist. My
Son is mixed and I asked reception if they had experience he said yes, after less than 5 minutes of being the chair with the girl he was crying. She was shaving uneven chunks out of his head. Then said oh I guess I’m not qualified to do his hair. We left with uneven hair, reception doesn’t even say anything. Super unfortunate experience for my son, as far as I’m concerned a bunch of liars to give an 8 year old a horrible experience. We found collective salon through holt Renfrew and the guy there was absolutely amazing and cut my sons hair perfect! So if your in that core mall go there, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to this place.

Its amazing how I have nwver had a bad cut at any pf the locations I have been to. AAA all across the board.

My hairstylist was Stella. Thoroughly impressed with her attention to detail and the care she put in her work. Very patient and explained everything clearly. At the end, received a fantastic haircut. Absolutely pleased with it. This was among the top 2 haircuts I received in Calgary so far and I have been to quite a few barbers, including other Tommy Gun's. This five star review is for Stella and her hands.

Jon is amazing, he's honestly given me the best haircut I've had in years. His attention to detail, suggestions on what to do with my hair and overall talent is unmatched. I've been to many other high end barbershops in Calgary and no one else has left me nearly as happy with my hair.

Just got the blade taken to the facial hair for the first time in 3 years. Stella and Farron were fantastic! I went in for a straight blade and it felt more like a spa day. It was an incredible experience and I’ll certainly be back.

I had not made an appointment ahead of time, but Becca welcomed me anyway and didn't ever make me feel like I didn't belong.
She was friendly, and had a genuine personality that put me at ease.

Unprofessional barbers went today for a haircut appointment show up the girl told me got time for 4: 30 then came back at the hour waiting for and told me no I have to wait 20 min more when I already book and wait for a hour lol just the fact I need a haircut done is the only reason I’m staying, but Eliza amazing work after that:)

They booked me in within the hour. I didn't wait for my cut. The hairdresser was fast, clearly experienced and charismatic and charming.

The staff was very quick and friendly. Farron was attentive and convinced me to buy some beard oil which I never do

As with any barbershop, the review is moreso about the quality of cut rather than the actual business. I can put a good word in for Ana, her cuts are what keep me coming back! As for the business aspect of things, the place is clean and well kept. No matter what, I'm generally able to get an appointment in whenever I like

I went to this barbershop as I was downtown instead of my usual Tommy guns in market mall, she mess up my undercut. When I call them they told me that I could get a free haircut but I had to come back to the same store and I couldn't go to my usual one to get it rectified for free. I didn't really want to go to the same barber shop that mess up my hair

This is specially for you BECCA. I must say that you are so talented at your work. This was second time I had a haircut and beard trim. I really like the way you style my hairs and mustache. I highly recommend this place.

Brooke is stellar! I first went here about a year ago looking for a reasonable cut after my usual stylist elsewhere was on vacation. I've been back for every cut since.

Every cut has been on point, and I can always trust Brooke to get it right the first time. She'd earn this place a sixth star out of five.

The staff are friendly and generally a blast to be around, prices are good, and the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. Only problem is that the location is in the good court at the core, meaning I leave hungry every single time.

Tommy guns is my go to place now, they do a great job. Only thing I wish we could do was book with a specific person so that it's easier to get consistent cuts!

I asked for a basic traditional hair cut. At the end, I was charged for a full package. The lady tricked me and charged me extra for services that I did not ask for. They lost my trust and I will never get back there.

First time trying out this place. I went to the one in The CORE and Brooke was amazing cutting my hair.

Eli is awesome. Guy really knows his stuff. Always friendly. Staff is always very welcoming and friendly. Wouldn't trust my beard care to anyone but Eli.

Good men's haircuts for reasonable prices. Not usually packed either unlike other Tommy Gun's barbershop so wait times are often fairly short.

Excellent service. However you need to exactly tell them what you want.

Also they should update their rewards collection from cards to app so that we dont need to keep track of cards.

Need some experience to many young girls just out of school couldn't give you a straight fade to save their lives high priced can't produce

I give up on this company. I used to be a regular client but they hire way too many inexperienced stylists. The last 3 times I have gone to the Core Mall location, I have requested a different stylist, because none of the previous ones were able to follow a simple request and I end up leaving unhappy with my look. Today I walked out looking like a peanut wearing a toupee. I specifically asked her to leave my sides a little bit longer to cover a cyst I have on the side of my head, and like the other two stylists who didn’t listen, she cut my sides too high and way too short, completely exposing the thing I asked them to cover up. I make a specific point of mentioning this to the stylists before they start, so I’m going to start going somewhere where they actually listen to their customers and done just give the generic haircut that they give everyone. Why bother asking what I want if you’re not going to listen?

This Isn’t exactly a review but more of a note. This place can’t be open until 9 if the core is closed at 6. I’m sure the service is great as I always get my hair done at tommy Guns and have never had an issue.

If you happen to make it into the building is largely the I let way to seem to book an appointment. And if it is close to the end of the day. You won't get in.

Barber intentionally pointed blow dryer downward and blow all the hair into my shirt, twice.

Otherwise, decent haircut and prompt service, but will not book with the same barber.

It's an okay place to get a haircut. The biggest problem is that they treat everyone's hair to be equal and they all give them the same cut as if it were true. You would find more benefits finding a barber that runs his own barbershop that cares for it and his customers. I did that and now my hair gets cut to make the characteristics of my hair work.

The first time I got a haircut here (February 2019), it was okay, although they could have taken more off and cut higher as I get my hair cut high and tight but it was passable.
Second time around (March 26,2019), I won't go back and don't recommend this location to anyone. While it was taken in high and tight on the sides, the back went low (was not taken in high enough) and I wanted my hair short on top. The girl said the length she made it can't go any shorter when she barely took any length off on the top. My hair was styled before I could look at the cut which skewed what I thought but after a shower, it was still too long. She seemed rushed as I was one of her last cuts before her shift ended.
I returned 2 hours later and my hair was fixed to what I wanted which was great, except when I came back I was offered an eyebrow trim. The eyebrow trim is too short and uneven, one side with more eyebrow hair than the other. I am very disappointed because now I'm going to need to use an eyebrow pencil until they grow back to full length again and of course this happens the week of my birthday. Thank you for wasting my time having to come back because the haircut couldn't be done right the first time and thank you for taking off too much eyebrow.
I considered this location as it was recommended to me by a co-worker but they were clearly wrong.
