Tommy Gun's Original Barbershop

It was my first time at a barbershop and it made me super nervous. But the young lady with blonde hair, I believe her name was Shay, just amazing! She took the time to make sure the cut was what I wanted and just so charismatic and pleasant to talk with! Made me feel welcome from the start.
Great haircuts, and even nicer people!

Little guy had an idea for his hair and then gentleman doing it went above and beyond to get what he wanted. Will be back next month to get it trimmed.

The hair cut they gave my son is not good very disappointed
And my 13 year old is now considered a man. Total spent was 75.00 for garbage will never go to Tommy guns again.

One of the better places to get your hair done. The staff have always been very courteous and professional and do a great job.

Ask for "Rose", she is the best. Almost 4 Barbar shops denied to cut my kid hair because he scared of hair cut. But she did it patiently. 5 star for her. Great job

I have gone to this location about 5 or 6 times now, I have honestly given this place a fair chance, first I thought I was just the odd inexperienced barber but every single time I've went for a hair cut it's been absolute garbage. The last 3 times they have cut my scalp, on one occasion the barber did so with her stupid long nails while washing off the hair. The last time I went, a different barber actually sliced my lip with the buzz clippers while trying to trim my goat and left huge patches of hair visable all over where I asked her to trim my beard. How could you miss such large areas? I had to go to work looking like a werewolf mid-transformation. I can't even call these girls barbers. They should just call the place Girls with Sharp Things

Called to book BF in and they told me they only book two hours in advance so to call later. Did and they were fully booked. PATHETIC customer service lying to people.

Always have a good hair cut from this place. I normally use Jamie. Would recommend using this barber shop. I will say that they can be a little pricey. But good quality cut and products for your hair. Really clean shop as well and always offering you drinks after your haircut. They also over a punch card so after 10 you get a free haircut.

Went for a haircut Sept 22 10 am was treated like garbage by the receptionist.she is racism and do not like senior ps we might be old but we deserve respect even if we have an accent. Enough said

The stylist that cut my sons hair went over and above with her customer service when cutting my sons hair. My son whos Four, has autism and Is very nervous when getting his hair cut. He normally becomes antsy and throws a fit, but he did so well yesterday! I have the stylist to thank for such a great experience. The stylist made sure to go at my sons pace and even went out of her way to come up with ways to keep him happy/ distracted.

We hope she is given the recognition she deserves for her top notch customer service and excellent cut & styling services!

I asked them to cut off a few inches, so I could still have enough for a pony tail, hair dresser didn't listen or follow my request cut off prb half of my length and it's now gonna be months to be back where I wanted it. Thanks for ruining my week if not the whole entire month

Haircut was fine, shampoo, scalp massage and hot towel that is typical was missing which was disappointing. Polite stylist. Just ok.

Guys named Marcus cut my hair. He was extremely nice and friendly. Great barber! Highly recommend him!

Hadn’t had a haircut for over 2 years. Came in 30 minutes to close and they were able to squeeze me in. They also had no problem helping cut my long hair off and helping me preserve it so that I can donate it. Super friendly and accommodating staff!

Great service as usual. Marcus is the best so far. He knows how to keep loyal customers and how to bring new customers to Tommy’s. My believe he is an asset to your establishment. Also, Tara is best Manager to look after all her customers as well.

I had an amazing experience at Tommy Guns st Bower Place in Red Deer they did an awesome job on my hair I will definitely be going back maybe next time I'll have a beer while I have my hair done.

Significantly better than many of other Tommy Gun's locations I've been too, the barber I saw was very careful, and had a fine attention to detail, and discussed many different aspects of the cut with me, and got much of my own opinion on different parts of the cut as well as mentioning her own expertise. She also took the time to give the full comfort experience with the steaming towel, and scalp message, witch are frequently left out at other franchise locations. Overall I ended up with a clean professional cut that I was happy with, and even delt with some of the natural issues with my hair such as a cowlick. I would consider the careful details and attention of the cut to be worth the hefty price.

The staff is super super lovely even though the cut wasn't exactally what we asked for it was pretty uneven in the back and way to short.the staff dealt with it amazingly gave us a refund and offered to fix it for free once it grows out a little bit, we will definitely be coming back to get it fixed just asking for a different stylest with a little more experience. Front desk lady was an absolute gem in this world and if all customer service was dealt with in this manner people would never leave bad reviews. Cannot believe how amazing the staff dealt with it and how sympathetic they were with my boyfriend absolutely amazing and we're so grateful just because of this service we will be coming back but his hair does look really funny for now thank goodness he always wears a hat.

Got my 5 year old sons hair cut. First time he picked out his style. Hairdresser did exactly the picture shown and my son loves it. Quick, easy and professional

Tried to book online, but times didn't make sense so went to check in and there time system seemed down asked if it would be quick she said yes it will be quick waited an hour, and left no idea what quick means no idea how much longer I would have waited

I have been using Tommy Guns Red Deer for haircuts for awhile. My past two times getting one there have been a terrible experience hands down. I had a haircut today and the guy who did not sure who it was (he had a beard), did an absolute atrocious job. I will now have to wear a baseball cap for the next month until my hair grows pack. Tommy Guns needs to do a better job of hiring individuals who know what they are doing and experienced enough to be cutting hair professionally. You have just lost my business and I will NOT return to you guys for anymore cuts. You guys should be embarrassed.

The scalp massage I received at this visit while getting my hair washed was the absolute best massage I’ve ever received. I will be definitely coming back just to get my hair washed again from the same hair dresser. Turns out that the hairdresser is one of my neighbors too! So might’ve just made a new friend too which is a definite bonus!

Just had a cut and beard trim. Calvin is awesome. Really friendly and knowledgeable. Helped me pick out the proper products to keep the beard in check. Will be back for sure.

You lose one of the good customer yesterday.
I used to drive 100KM for just my hair cut. Yesterday I had hair cut at bower mall location and there was one guy who did hai cut and I got worst hair cut ever in my life. I am 100% sure he don’t know how to do his job properly. Everything is uneven. Now I have to wear cap until I get my hai back properly.

I had my kids haircut here a couple times, with very average results it the convenience of the place kept my coming back. Well we had a fantastic young lady, give an excellent haircut. Best part was she had some social skills!

My 4 year old Grandson and I got the same haircut today! We watched each other and smiled together from a Covid-19 chair separation distance away.it was magical! Of yah, the staff was amazing as usual too! Lol Thanks guys!

IF YOU WANT A HAIR CUT AND COLOURING, ANGELO AT BOWER MALL IN RED DEER, ALBERTA, IS THE BEST. LET ME SAY THIS A BETTER WAY HE ROCKS! THE ONLY THING I DISAGREE ON IS: YOU GET A CARD FOR HAIRCUTS, BUT NO CARD FOR HAIR COLOURING, THERE SHOULD BE A CARD FOR COLOURING, OR HAVE TWO STAMPS ON YOUR HAIRCUT CARD. THIS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED.

After booking online my son and I waited in the mall for over 2 hours, regularly checking the schedule, after our estimated wait time lapsed, I spoke with desk and was told they had no record of our reservation for 2 haircuts. He could not “remember” our names ever being on the list. He did offer to put us back on the list, and have us wait another 90 minutes, no thanks! I have been a regular and loyal client for several years. Buying all my products and cuts exclusively from Tommy Guns.
My son and I will not be returning. Do Not Recommend.

The most convinient barbershop in Red Deer! Easy to book schedule very friendly and professional employees and the best part is I have the best barber in the city and his name Angelo and i would definitely recommend him to everybody!

Finding Tommy guns has made getting haircuts for my hubby and son a breeze! We have almost always been able to show up, sign up on the list and get in within 30 mins. With a busy and sporadic lifestyle that has been great! My 9 year old loves getting his hair cut there and won’t even let me trim it at home anymore lol! The app makes it easy to pick out a location that works best and the cuts have always been great! Highly recommend!

My experience was bad, barber was not skilled. Did not give me a fade like i asked. Uneven cut. If i could give zero stars i would.

Whoever does the hiring at this location clearly does not make sure that the hairdressers know what they are doing. They will poke your ears with scissors, clippors and just about everything they have. The result will be a really poor haircut. It really look like they are just hiring anyone with a pulse and no qualifications.

Save your money, i strongly encourage anyone to never go there.

Calvin is my sons barber, and all I can say is he is truly amazing, my son experienced trauma with previous barbers and since starting to see Calvin, he enjoys his haircuts and his time with Calvin.
Calvin has pure patience with the little ones and makes them feel 100%loved, walking out super stylish.

Highly recommend brining your child to Tommy Gun's in Bower mall to see Calvin. You won't regret it

I walked by this place and have and can say I have never stepped foot into this place. But what I can say about this place is this: from a licensed hairdresser perspective, this place is always clean, those who work there seem professional, and the hair styles that come out look great.

Always a great cut. Friendly staff that tell me how to do my hair. Sometimes we need advice on how to style. This location provides that advice. Thank you! Five hours from home, but when I pass through, I make sure and stop in for a lesson and fade.

Was able to do a walk in for not only my husband but my son. Nice stylist and reasonable prices

Great atmosphere, stylist are knowledgeable and very pleasant. Love how you sign in on there iPod, very convenient. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it is quite expensive, wash/cut and beard trim with tip cost 50 bucks. My goatee is not big and bushy just a very quick few snips with scissors and a quick lip trim, kinda should be complimentary. Other than that great place to go.

Last couple times I’ve been there, it’s been over and hour/hour and a half wait. They don’t come out and give you any estimated wait time or let you know how many people are ahead of you, only to come out and ask if you’re there for a haircut. I have counted as people came after me, making a new appointment, and getting in ahead of me, or them taking out there list on a clipboard and continuing to call names they called 4-5 times already.
Not that it matters, but they won’t get my business anymore. Just kind of ridiculous.

New barbers too often that don’t know how to properly cut hair, probably fresh out of school. Have had some good haircuts but also some bad ones including the awful choppy fade I recently got. Didn’t notice until it was too late worst fade I have ever gotten I recommend going somewhere with more experienced barbers because you never know what you are going to get here one day it’s good one day it’s awful

Fast, quick, efficient. Always have been coming here for years - exclusively. Haven't stopped by in over a year as I grew my hair out. But was happy that the service is still amazing.

I will no longer be using Tommy Guns. They're online system was the main reason I used them, easy booking and easy to plan your day.

I've now been told by them that the online booking means nothing and that the times are unreliable, and that won't be changing. I learned this 15 minutes after my scheduled time slot. For the prices they charge, you would think that you would get some value added services. I guess not.

I like how every time you walk in there and you're addressed by your name all staff is very friendly and they all like to have a conversation.

I will never go back to bower place mall ever again, the service there is very poor, the lady's there are very stuck up and a bit rude. The girl that cut my hair did not do what I had asked her to do, very poor service. I'll be calling there head office. Avoid this place.

I last attempted to get my haircut at this location about a year ago. There were a number of us waiting while 2 of the hairdresser stood there chatting. I waited a while and just got up and left. Then I returned today because I was in a pinch to get a haircut. I put my name in and it said about an hour and half wait. I left for about half an hour. When I returned my name was not on the board. When I asked the girl about it at the front she was extremely rude and very unprofessional. Will never return to the Bower Place location.

The staff are excellent they know what they're doing and they can give you Great Haircuts and great advice

Been taking my son here for a couple years and things had been fantastic, couple months ago he decided he wanted a faux hawk and I brought him in, she messed his hair up so bad it looked like she put a bowl on his head and cut around it. We brought him in a couple weeks later because if it wasnt styled it looked ridiculous and an awesome lady there fixed it to the best of her ability and was even shocked at how bad it was. (we paid for the second haircut as well) then my husband went in not long ago and hes literally missing a chunk of hair up front. I'm not sure we will be back. One to many mess ups.

Asked for a hair cut I’ve previously had showed a picture even and didn even receive remotely close to what I asked for then to charge a premium is just a joke

Very unhappy with my sons appointment. He had been growing his hockey hair for like a year. Finally agreed to go for a trim. Showed the hairdresser a picture of what he and I had agreed to. Even physically showed her what I thought would be best on his head. She completely botched and cut all his hair off. Did not follow at all what I had asked for. I have a heartbroken 7 year old.
Bad haircuts happen, I get that. But this was pretty simple and she had more then one example to go off on.
I didn't say anything at the location as my son was near tears and I did not want to make it worse. I will not be back.

I had a gentleman barber who was very skilled and professional. My haircut turned out well and the entire experience was pleasant. Left a decent tip.

Go to place to take my boy to get our ears lowered staff awesome to deal with and cuts are always great

Great place for a men's haircut. Friendly staff who won't cut your ears. Nice queue system so you can wander the mall while you wait. There is an app to let you sign in remotely but does not always work well.

Don't bother checking in online. It doesn't mean anything. I checked in online and their site notified me that it would be approximately 37min before I got my haircut. Okay that's fine, I drive over to Bower Place and head over there which took me about 15 min and talk with the woman behind the counter and she tells me "about 15 min" so I wait. 15min rolls by and I'm still 4th in line on their check in screen. 30 min goes by and I'm still waiting. Got fed up and told them to take my name off the list. I didn't waste my money there and neither should you. Go to one of the other two Tommy Guns in Red Deer or another franchise because these people can't read a clock.
