Haven't eaten here in a long time. It used to be really good, I've had better pizza at Costco. I ordered the all meat. Looks like they took a frozen cheese pizza and covered it with a little bit of cold cuts and crumble beef. Not impressed.
Felt like a real mum and pap restaurant with traditional pizzas. I think we probably tried them all as we where a very large party. Loved it. I'll be back for sure and take away is a great option
Great service and atmosphere! Ordered medium green pepper, Italian sausage and mushroom pizza.so amazing. Lots of toppings, thin crust. Definitely going back!
Tom’s was the go to pizza place growing up in Calgary. I was there many times in my late teens and early 20’s (Late 60’s early 70’s) now 50 years later I am in town and decided to check it out, if the pizza was as good as I remembered. Guess what, it was, maybe a different ham but the flavour was still great! Same owner and recipes all these years later. A great nostalgia moment. A great family owned restaurant. Some things have changed but I was not disappointed.
The pizza is delicious! Definitely give it a try! The atmosphere, however, is not as wonderful. I would order it to go as the establishment is quite old and dingie. The person in Tom's House of Pizza who waited on us was the person in the kitchen. The other side that's attached to this restaurant has only one waitress. She we was outside smoking in front of the establishment when we arrived and then came back in to serve us without washing. She actually grabbed our glasses from the rim where you drink from (no straws were given). I think as a general rule, servers need to be more cognizant of washing their hands and where they pick up customers' glasses. We won't go to stay again.
First time with this pizza. Orderd takeout. Menu has alot of selection and build your own pizza. Received my pizza in record time and amazed at the quality! Really fantastic pizza. Love the super thin crust and loaded with toppings. Not overly saucy either. Highly recommend Tom's Pizza. I will be back.
By far the best pizza in town. Fresh, crispy and delicious. It is a testament to their quality that they survived for 60 years. Quality quality quality.
We heard Tom’s pizza was one of the best- we were very disappointed in how expensive it was for something that tasted like cardboard with basically no sauce.
Great little pizza place with great customer service. We had a really big order for 20 of us, and a pizza was missed, but they fixed it promptly. The small dining area creates a home-like atmosphere. Personally I would've liked to see a bit of caramelisation on the pineapple, for the Hawaiian. The crust is great!
I ate here for the first time and I can honestly say that it was just alright. The pizza was fine but not exceptional. There is no wait staff so you have to go up and order. The restaurant itself is quit old and could use a remodel. There was no issue in finding a parking spot. The food was priced reasonably.
The gentlemen that was serving me I didn’t get his name but he was playing social media videos super loud at the front desk. I asked him to turn it down.
He then proceeded roll his eyes at me and shake his head.
Ordered 1 sm and 1 Glut Free. Toppings were disproportionate and Tomatoes were almost white. The small pizza at $13 (pep and cheese only) was miniscule. Asked for well done wings, which were barely cooked, and the sketchy delivery guy swiped my grossly overpriced food with an auto grat of 15% which tallied on top of the tax. (Other options were 18 and 20%)
All in all a nice haul for this place! Won't be ordering again.
Maybe it's the fact that they didn't include the parmesan I asked for, maybe it was the deliverer preaching their political views, maybe it was the unexpected $9 delivery fee.wth happened to Toms they used to be so good
Very dissapointed, ordered the pepperoni muchroom and there was little to no pepp and basically an entire pack of foamy chewy uncooked mushrooms. Going to have to try again but was t good at all
I’ve been coming to Tom’s house of pizza for decades… the place used to be a Calgary staple but sadly the new owners are running it into the ground, the toppings are now very suspect and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant is atrocious. I hope the south location is better because I won’t be returning to this one. Also I’ve never had to deal with a more disrespectful and rude staff. Our table witnessed the staff berating a skip the dishes driver and made quite a scene right in front of the customers. Big changes are needed!
I had heard a lot of good about Tom's and was craving pizza so was excited to try it out. For starters it was insanely expensive for a rather small pizza that was a "large" $26 for a veggie pizza with just tomato, onion and green pepper. The main issue though was the pizza was just terrible. A frozen pizza has more flavor. The pizza barely tasted like anything. It was shockingly bland from sauce to cheese to toppings. Even if $10 I wouldn't recommend it or buy it again. Utterly disappointing.
Absolutely the best pizza ever. I have been going to Toms for over 40 years and it’s still my go too. The McLeod Trail store is the best. Jose and the staff are so accommodating and friendly. Thank you Jose. Keep up the great work.
