Tony Roma's

Been here a few times and the food is normally good. The presentation was pretty awful the last time i was here, as well as finding a curly little beard hair in my food. They offered to make me a new one, but i turned it down becuase thats really gross. Waiters were polite, and my fiance enjoyed her food.

Gina at tony romas served hair on the food (cold food) no cutlery was given wrong drinks (given Diet Coke instead of coke after I reminded Gina she forgot my drink and had to debate what I ordered). The order of chicken that came in was cold and dry when we asked for a replacement they lied microwaved the food and now my elderly mother is vomiting my family was leaving for a big trip and we were trying to spend time with our family. Go somewhere else where they don’t think they are doing you a favour by serving YOU. Not sure what we did to offend those people but be expected for 10x worse if you’re coloured.

Was the only table who had to prepay for food while the rest of the tables paid after their meals. Racist & disrespectful.

I ordered “not your mums fried chicken”. It sure wasn’t. The chicken smelled strongly of fish. I sent it back and was put off the rest. Yes they removed it from the bill but it was pretty bad.

Our go to place for Birthday lunch been going to Tony Roma's for year. Never disappointed.

This restaurant has been at this location for many years and is showing its age. The interior is worn but clean. Our server was friendly and helpful. My wife and I shared the rack of pork ribs with a baked potato. It was served hot and was tasty. We enjoyed our meal. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There was 7 of us and the server took care of all. There was positive feedback from all. We will come back another time.

It's been probably a few years since I had ribs here. Probably the only Tony Romas left in YEG but still tastes as good as I remembered.

We ordered through skip and the portion size is laughable for the price, they also are terrible at double checking orders to ensure everything is packed. My Asian salad was missing one of the most important parts, the salad dressing.
The only thing that is even slightly redeeming is the potato skins we ordered.

Called to let them know about the missing dressing (as just a heads up to be more diligent) and having a manager cut me off as I’m talking and then just keep saying sorry over and over again felt very unauthentic.

We will not be ordering from them again.

Hot, stuffy and terrible food. We felt bad for the server as she did her best but the food was terrible here. I had a burger and salad. The burger was overcooked, lacking any flavor, dry (no condiments), with wilted lettuce and a soggy tomato. Daughter had the chicken sandwich with cheese. Tasted good but the piece of chicken was half the size of the bun, also her gravy was like brown water. Husband had the 1/2 rack of ribs which apparently tasted meh with no spice and the portion size was tiny. $85.00 later and we were all hungry 1hr or so later. Save your money and pass this place by.

Had To y Roma gift cards, but was told I could not use them! My understanding is that in Alberta gift cards DO NOT expire, even if under new Management. It is still Tony Romas!
The full rack of ribs seemed to be lacking. It was more like a half rack and lacking in meat.
The price was quite high for the lack of quality.

Food was excellent. Service top notch and friendly. Didn't know Tony Romas was still around but found this one and was not disappointed. Well done everyone

Definitely not what it used to be. I would not let my worst enemy eat here. Worst dine in/take out experience in the last 15-18 years for sure.

One of the few spots with halal beef ribs. Restaurant is definitely quiet, but the food was good

I hadn't been in nearly 10yrs. I tried it again since it's close to home.
I ordered a burger and it was terrible. A fast food Harveys frozen patty being sold for $20.50.
Absolutely empty at dinner time. Service was nice but never checked back once. Seemed clean but theres no one there to make a mess.
No idea how they remain open.

Understandably dead for a Monday night.that being said we still waited around ten minutes to be seated. Staff was moderately friendly and helpful
The food wasn't anything to write home about but it also can't be complained about.

They are improving over last year, however, when we ordered Lobster, it was probably baked in a dry oven, too long, (any good chef would never go more than 6 min). Also add water. It should be BOILED. Lobster was as rubber. The ribs were good tho, but this chef won't be returning. I have just read all the reviews and it encourages me to NEVER RETURN!

We had ribs at this location for the first time and they were delicious! Our waitresses name was Tuyet and she was absolutely fantastic! This lady is incredible. Her friendly welcoming personality was the beginning of a wonderful experience! She is beyond accomidating and attentive. We will definately be coming back because of the outstanding service she provided us.

$117 and I was wishing I had just ordered a pizza for the family instead. Got the steak and lobster and it was terrible. The lobster was tiny and the steak was small, thin, and couldn't be cooked to medium rare. Even the replacement steak wasn't cooked properly. The waitress didn't check on the food until we were almost done. No refills were offered until I had already asked for the bill.

The baked beans and mashed potatoes were better than the steak and lobster.and the servings were essentially an ice cream scoop each. No salad. No discount for horrible service/ steak. Wife's steak was ok. Child's fries looked like they had sat under a heat lamp all day.

We used to love coming to Tony Roma's and we looked forward to eating here again after moving back from Ontario, but this experience was TERRIBLE.

We will not be coming back. Good luck surviving this economic downturn Tony Roma's. RIP.

Tuyet is an incredible server. She went above and beyond to meet our needs. Tuyet made lunch with my mom extra special. She was so friendly and fun. Best server ever!

Went for supper here and the service was horrible, dirty carpets, Raw food, and when I sent food back they brought out raw food and I had to pay for the entire meal including the raw items I didn't wanna eat never go here and don't eat here eventually someone will get sick horrible restaurant

Waitress was seemingly new and didn't know about menus or how to answer questions. Food was beyond disappointing! I got chicken wrap which mentioned; lettuce tomato, chicken, parmesan cheese. No tomatoe, literally just lettuce and chicken with a small glob of cheese in the middle not spread out, on a wrap that had been grilled maby 5 seconds, with plain mayo on it! No sides, literally just chicken and lettuce wrap. My lunch mates had the ribs, lol, maby riblets, If you want to call them that for the size and minimal sauce. Would not recommend, will not go back!

We were very disappointed in our meal tonight. My husband had steak and lobster. Note: We did not expect high end for the price but the food was just not good. The lobster was overdone and the steak was not enjoyable. He had it medium rare, but it was a very poor quality cut of meat and no seasoning on it at all. I had a salad with salmon. My salmon was very small and over cooked and dry. We commented we should have gone to our local pizza place they do a nicer steak. The server was very good, no concerns with him. To top it off we had gone there to use a gift card, but they would not accept the gift card and gave us a phone number and email to get a refund on our gift card. All in all not a nice treat out for us. Meal was barely adequate at best. Update since this was posted, the number/email they gave us to redeem our gift card would only respond to emails, they told us we had to go back to the restaurant to redeem it.

We were served by Henry tonight and he was a delight! Quick service, knowledgeable and we never needed for anything because he was on the ball! Food was good and served hot. We will be back because of Henry’s service!

Food was good dident like the coleslaw but that's a personal thing all in all good experance

I Give 1 star because we had a great server.
The food was absolutely horrible and way over priced.
I'm surprised this location is still open i have no idea how's its surviving.
There are way better Restaurants for this price range, so I highly recommend going elsewhere.

I apologize in advance, this review is not good, with the exception of the server because he had nothing to do with the food that was cooked. I don't want to go into details but I will list what we had with the reaction and none of it was worth the money. Chicken nuggets frozen, fries good, Ceasars salad pepper and vinegar, potato soup mushy water, bread stick rocks, mussels pure salty, peach cobbler just ice cream. Never again.

Be aware of the scam they are pulling. Apparently they aren’t part of the chain and won’t accept Tony Roma’s gift cards unless they are bought at their location. It supposedly posted under the elbows of the hostess as she’s holding to down the front desk. I was told that I should have made them aware before ordering that I was using a gift card…. Does anyone do that before going to Tim’s, Bestbuy or any other retailer? They called rent a cop from Londonderry because I refused to pay the bill. I told them to make order with the card and call me if their wasn’t sufficient funds on the card and I would come in and settle the bill. Of course rent a cop gave me an option to pay or be banned…. It wasn’t worth the hassle and I paid the bill. Once again the consumer is left holding the bag.

I don't recommend this location. The green beans sides were left overs from yesterday and just shrivelled, not fresh, and super salty. They cheap out by giving unfresh veggies to customers instead of throwing it away. The ribs were overly cooked, burnt 80% on the outside and I'm not willing to eat charred meat. The washroom stunk really bad that I had to hold my breath and get out quick. I feel like we wasted our money and birthday experience coming here. I highly recommend going to The Keg as the food is always fresh with clean bathrooms there. My family and I will be going to The Keg for our next birthday dinner to get an enjoyable dinner without the drama at Tony Roma's Londonderry location.

Coming here is always a joy! I love eating the riblings here, they're always delicious. Our server, Tuyet, is always very amazing with her service. She's also very friendly, sweet, and wonderful with her conversations. Would give her a 5/5 everytime!

Review Update: The Owner and Manager came to see us at our table to inquire about what happened with Henry, the male server who had treated us very rudely and with arrogance the last two times our family came to this restaurant. The Owner and Manager apologized for what has happened. This is a great restaurant, and everyone is friendly except for Henry, so we will continue coming here as long as he is not our server.

Our server, Tuyet was SO helpful and kind! We took her up on her recommendation of the Spinach Chicken stack - and it was very yummy! The Roma’s Riblings and wings were phenomenal, the mashed potatoes were alright though - could use some more flavour. Coleslaw is as good as always!

Service and food was terrible! It took 20 min just to get our drink order in. Our waiter was rude and never checked on us. My son's burger looked like they dropped it in the floor. My burger was over cooked and dry. We used to love coming here but will not come back! So disappointing.

It was absolutely gross. Service over 25 mins before she took our order and almost 40 mins before we got our food. Everything was so over cooked. My poor mom couldn't even eat her chicken fingers. Absolutely disgusting. Wouldn't even eat there again. If they paid me too. Gross gross.

Amazing service from Tuyet 103 sweet and kind woman with great care. If you go there the meal is good and service is positive

They seem to be up and down with the food. The last visit we had 2 large rib sampler orders as well as extra of Lobster tails. The ribs were fine but the Lobster tails were terrible.cooked in dry heat with no moisture. They were terrible and tho we complained, nothing was done about it. Being a chef at a high end restaurant in a good hotel I know about preparing great food and how to handle customer complaints. If that happened at my hotel, the complaining party would have been discounted for the mistake, not ignored. Poor service and food!

I recieved the worst service on March 11 2022. My boutiful beef ribs came out raw and the ribs my wife and my mom got were done properly. I asked if I could get a replacement order.and I was denied. They stated that they couldn't make me another order. So I sat at the table while everyone ate their ribs. We drove 30mins for this.

Such a Disappointment of what used to be.
We used to go twice a month and now Never EVER EVER! Ordering the Pork RIB meal you get 2 Sides which for the last 4 years have been served Spoiled! How hard is it to Mash Potatoes and Steam Vegatables DAILY? ! The Brown Beans from days past are MIXED with New Batch and the Baked Potato toppings are Old and the grated Cheese was Very OLD and Dry. Pork Ribs are often OVER COOKED and BURNT. How they got away with this for SO long is disturbing. Place is also Dirty and Service is the Worst. Should you order from the Bar you wait a LONG time to receive it which is a large part of business there LOST. The TAKEOUT door SLAMS so hard and loud it sounds like a Blast right behind the Customer that was NEVER Fixed! When you would bring it to the Employee or Management they Don't Apologise and Aren't the Least bit Concerned!? They ask what would you exchange it for? Receiving ANOTHER SPOILED Side listed above and No other Compensation! $50.00 for 2 of these meals just ISNT WORTH IT ANYMORE. They also DONT accept their OWN GIFT CARD's which is Beyond Disgusting!

Love Tony romas, I go to this location as there isn't one on the Southside. Management and staff are friendly and attentive!

They have an excellent, well priced lunch menu. It's not large, but it has great choices. The staff are very friendly.

Ordered the halal ribs, garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. The best ribs I’ve had in the city. So tasty and the portion of the ribs was amazing. Wish they could give more mashed potatoes, they were just SO amazing. The customer service was impeccable. They were so polite and prompt with their service. Definitely would recommend!

I have been working there, and then I quit the job cause I didn't like it, I'm still waiting for my 2nd paycheck he keeps saying I'll give it tomorrow but he still hasn't, I truly think that you shouldn't do that to someone, they also have bills to pay. If you can't pay someone back on time you shouldn't Hire people.

We used to like eating here but took my mom last night and had ribs tougher than shoe leather. So much gristle I couldn’t even eat them! My 91 year old mom complained and instead of offering a discount or anything they brought her an order to take home. She thought she would eat them today but when she opened them up they were burnt! Never again -save your money

The food was good. Compliments to the staff for their efforts. Especially our host and server who was hard working all the tables. If you are looking for a visit with friends and family, this place is it. But if you're looking for a quick bite, best look elsewhere. I was there to eat and visit with family. The server was great, looking to our needs consistently.

Recent economic times have been tough on TR's, and many of their Edmonton locations have closed. The Londonderry location has toughed it out, and the $12 lunch menu is always a good deal.

Just had lunch at this restaurant and was so disappointed with the chicken wrap. It was thrown together, not “wrapped”, chicken was dry, old and tasteless. Tried eating one half but could not choke down the rest. Server was excellent, but cook/boss not so. Offered an attempt at an apology and I felt that he wanted us to pay our bill and leave. We will not return which is unfortunate because Tony Roma’s was our go to restaurant for birthdays and special occasions.

Hire a new chef! Or close the place down, recently had reservations there, steak was tough and smaller than suggested portion, baked potato was dry appeared the potato was in a cellar for months, they always run out of rice, save your money and go elsewhere for your dining pleasure!

Ordered pick up and was given a 30-35 minute wait time. Showed up after 30 mins and was told another 15 mins- okay no problem we waited in the parking lot. After that they told us another 10 minutes and they would bring it out to our car. After about another 15-20 mins we went back and they were still insisting on more of a wait- only a couple more mins. We got a refund and did not get our food and left. Completely understand if there was a longer wait but tell us the first time realistically how long it will be so we could go home and come back when it’s ready!

It was nice to finally sit down to eat at a restaurant again. Our meal was great fish and chips, and ribs. The service was good.

Honestly they were kinda rude and we got the lobster and me and my boyfriend got food poisoning from it. The only thing good about it was the one waitress.

This place is unbelievable. We called for a reservation and then the lady said that we don't need book and just go walk in. But when we get in the restaurant, they asked us if we have reservations. It was so annoying that we waited for 20minutes for them. Also, when we are heading to our table, the man said that the food may will be a longer wait to serve, like is it really necessary to tell to ur customers? HAHA and last thing, they run out of rice never gonna come back again.

Would leave a minus review if possible. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS FOR TAKE OUT! Seriously trust me on this.

Ordered two orders of Steak and Lobster online. First, you they don’t give you the option of selecting your steak rareness. Luckily they phoned me right away to determine this. You also cannot add which type of salad dressing you would like. These were 38 dollar meals a piece! Plus 4 bucks for the salad.

When we picked it up a d brought it home, which took all of four minutes and opened our meals, we received quite a surprise! Both steaks were ordered rare. They were well done. Lobster was absolute rubber and no butter was included at all.

Didn’t bother phoning to complain, as the person running the window couldn’t even figure out my name, so can you imagine them trying to fix this?

Just avoid the place. I payed almost 80 bucks for two meals that weren’t fit for animals. I won’t be returning in the future period a d we were twice a month diners at the place. They say the company is going out of business and this is likely why.

They really should be ashamed of themselves.

MY family' experience at Tony Roma's was fantastic! Our attentive and charasmatic server Tuyra (hope I got her name right) we've had her before and she never disappoints. We were very happy with the food too

Prior to covid restrictions we dined at 137 avenue location weekly with our parents. We always ask for Tuyet to be our waitress. She remembers our special requests, even after not eating out in 3 Months. Her pleasant personality and excellent service is the reason we return. Food is great, prepared to our liking

Have wanted to eat from here for a while but being told that they will not honor gift cards that have been purchased is a major turn off. A discount of a certain percentage is not the same as taking that dollar value that was purchased off of the total amount. That is not how to run a business. Whats more when calling the location to find out why this was in place to be told they were going to get a manager to talk to me to get hung up on is unacceptable. Have never had issues with this location until they came under this new ownership.

Fantastic food, nice staff, consistently good ambience. They charge affordable pricing and the food quality is great. Keep it up.

It's a tad on the expensive side but they have amazing ribs and the potato skins are a great way to start off a meal. They also serve good steaks with a generous amount of of sides. The one I went to also has a drive through but I'm not entirely sure how it works, I think you have to call in and order ahead. If you go I would recommend wearing pants a size bigger.

Ordered my steak medium well. It was very overdone, charred, tough and dry.

Our server took my ENTIRE plate away, when she could have left my potato and vegetables or transferred them to another plate after returning my shoe leather from whence it came. Utterly disappointed that she hadn't sense to do that or to offer me something else to eat while the kitchen made me another steak.

I got to watch my husband eat his entire meal (ribs with NO finger bowl or wet naps) before I had anything!

The second steak was tender and cooked medium well, as I'd initially asked, but my meal was NOT removed from the bill or a complimentary salad or dessert offered as compensation for the disservice.

We were completely neglected after she brought my steak. No refills. No finger bowl. No follow-up. Nothing. Yet there were some staff milling about, not doing anything.

This was an awful, unsatisfying experience. Unclear whether this location is under new ownership/new management, but what we experienced was inattentive, bumbling and grossly inept at best. We won't be back.

A shame we can't give zero stars.

This spot is the one I always prefer. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this place I constantly return again and again. The stuff is very cordial and the cooking they place on your table is so tasty. I am always happy to have a decent meal here. Highly recommended.

Don't even want to rate this with a 1 star but had to rate something. This used to be our favourite restaurant, went there every Saturday for lunch. This place is absolutely terrible now.food was horrible, asked for vinegar and got oil, but didn't realize it till I started to sprinkle on my fish and it was rancid. I tried to explain to the waitress and to please take the oil and toss it so no one else got it. My fish was ruined and no offer of replacement but I don't think she understood what I was even saying.
The much loved cole slaw was just cabbage with mayo or something on it.no seasoning, the tarter sauce was scraped from the sides of the jar as it had all the discolored and crusty bits in it. Such a disappointment and will never go back. Left a very bad taste in our mouth for Tony Romas.

This restaurant is my preferable restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to that place. Whenever I I need a decent dinner, this place comes instantly to my mind.good and varied food and a large menu.professional staff members, and pleasant mood. Also, the cost is decent. I praise this place with pleasure.

Waiting seating for over 15 minutes just for our drinks. The waitress took notes on a drink coaster. Been sitting for over 25 minutes, still no food!

Had a good experience here with my girlfriend. The food came fast and the customer service is just great. Prices are fair.

The best steak I've ever tasted so far! I especially like their bountiful beef ribs (my favourite). The service takes too long though, because in our 2 visits there we waited for 45 minutes to 1 hour before our food was served. Still, I recommend this restaurant. Ambiance is great and it's very welcoming for families and big groups alike!

I take my family to this restaurant quite a bit! This is my favorite restaurant to to have a good dinner. I visit this place frequently. The food is just great, the workers are friendly and the rates are good. I enjoy going in this restaurant over a nice dinner.

Good food, chicken was overdone, mixed veggies were not available. Spaghetti was overcooked, sauce was OK. Waitress was very good.
