Ordered a veal baked Italian hero sandwich for takeout. Was pretty loud in the background, so I made sure to confirm that I wanted veal before I hung up. Ended up with a chicken sandwich. After calling to let them know, I went back and got the right order.
Very disappointed. I was expecting veal cutlets, not 10-12 little chunks of meat. Decent flavour, but each bite had more veggies than veal. Overpriced at $17.
I come here every so often for takeout when I'm in town. This was likely my last visit.
I want to love this pizza so bad because of its legendary status in Edmonton, but I don’t like it as much as other pizzerias.
The original New York style is really good. I've also had the New York New York which was a miss. Felt very greasy and a little flat in taste. Margherita and Bianca were alright.
The fettuccine carbonara was alright, nothing special. Not enough salt or flavour coming through.
The pizza we shared was very yummy. Staff were attentive and kind. Everything was great until dessert. We ordered a slice of apple pie to share. Too bad it was frozen in the centre.
Consistent, fresh, and flavourful. I've been going to Tony's for years and they never disappoint. The meatballs, house salad, bianca pizza, sal's deluxe pizza, margherita pizza, and rucola pizza are all top tier. Highly recommend.
An institution for me as a kid growing up and going with Dad. Now live in Vancouver and had not ordered from there in 16 years. Ordered for pickup, my partner had her favourite pizza which was good. I ordered lasagna which for the price point the takeout version was small. I also ordered a $14 salad which was soggy without dressing and dressing container was only filled a quarter and they gave a bun with no butter or utensils.
Ordered a pizza for takeout. Was told it would be 25-30 min wait. Picked up pizza drove a couple blocks away to park and enjoy. It was HORRIBLE. We got the XL Peter's, which I think is like an 18" pizza. The center was soggy and raw and not just the very middle, I'm saying the center 3-4 inches. The outer crust was crisp but stale tasting, and the quality of the meats on the pizza was not great. For a place that I have heard so much about, I have to say I am extremely disappointed and will never eat from there again.
All staff was very friendly and welcomed us professionally, the food was excellent, I would recommend the Sal’s deluxe as a pizza option, it was delicious!
Take out palace special was what I would describe as plain lousy. Crust was like cardboard and slightly burnt. Toppings were skimpy and there was virtually no sauce. Almost $35 I expected a really good Italian or new york style and got one of the worst pizzas I have ever bought. I wanted something special as I don't have pizza that often and did not want something from a chain restaurant. Never again.
Best pizza in town, hands down! I've read some of the reviews about changes to the specialty pizzas. Folks, there is a reason they are specialty pizzas - if you want something different go the custom route but for the love of a Sal's Deluxe, DO NOT put pineapple on it!
We got an XL pie. This place is highly rated in Edmonton. It's actually rated one of the best pizza places in Edmonton on Tic Tok. I had to try it. Was a nice pie. But the pepperoni's was off, it didn't taste like an authentic NY pie because of that, crust cheese, sauce was on point. Still was good don't get me wrong. I expected some real deal Italian pepperoni from the Iconic Tony's! But still definitely the best pizza joint in the city. I came from leduc just for the pie. Enjoy guys!
