Top Donair

I give this a 7.3 out of 10. Great price but the donair underdelivered. They grilled the pita so it was crispy and that is a big no no when it comes to donairs.

Great service and food to match. Donairs are top shelf, great sweet sauce, nicely seasoned fries, and proper ketchup. Definitely my favourite donair spot in YEG.

Literally the smallest "super" beef Donaire I've ever seen, they are trying to screw you over don't waste your time with trash food like this

Self service dinning in, little high price for total services provided. Food okay but small sides like garlic or humos.

Best Donair we have had on the north side.
After having gone here at least once a month for the last year I have to say their consistency is spot-on and the staff are always happy and friendly.

If it's Sunday wait till Monday and go to Swiss next door. What a joke, how is this place even in business. Ordered SUPER Donair, got a kids.

Omg.horrible. I got four super donairs and they are so tiny. You can see the 3 pieces of donair meat they put it in and that’s it, just look at the photo of what was supposed to be their “super” donair (don’t mistake the tomatoes for meat). Seriously disappointing as I used to like this place but this was just an embarrassment for them. Going to Swiss next time which has good flavour AND a good portion.

Ripped us off! Tried charging us $35 for one donair combo with cheese and onion rings and a poutine when they were supposed to charge only $24.15. Bunch of thieves i am calling tomorrow to ensure I get my additional $10 back!

Probably the worst donair I've had. Had it delivered, they never got the topping right and it was cold, and half the meat. The pita wasn't even fried just dry and cold. I will never order here again. Disgusting

I got a delicious mixed regular, and small onion rings, and pop for about 18.50, rings were plentiful as well as the fries.
The donair was pretty good for regular size, very filling! Highly suggest if you havent!

Awesome place, great price and the owner is very nice and hospitable. The chef makes authentic donair. When every I am in town I definitely come and eat here. Very much recommended.

When we got home they gave us one poutine &
Fries with the chicken strips, we paid for 2 poutines. The fries where very soggy & the donair was very small. Expensive meal and it wasn't even our correct order. We Definitely won't be back.

It's top donair it's nice delicious and very big space have in din in. Also nice people are work there they treat customers as a professional

I ordered two poutines and they gave me just fries for one order, the donair wasn't flavourful and it was cold, the fries were soggy and bland, not to mention the poutine hardly had any fries, it was mostly gravy. I was trying to decide between them and swiss… i picked the wrong place

Twice now they gave me donairs full of veggies and barely any meat. Will never return here again. Food was cold, not sure how the food is cold when I’m dining.

Ordered on Doordash tonight, and we were really looking forward to it. About a half hour later, the Doordash driver calls me and says that someone else took my food and the restaurant was refusing to give him my order. My order was then cancelled without a refund, and the restaurant won't answer the phone. So not only are we out about $40, someone else probably got the wrong food, assuming the random people who took my order were delivery drivers

The donair is quite bland and if you get onions they will overdo it so all youll taste is onions. The fries are some of the worst I've never had. There are so many better places to get donairs close by.

I miss the old staff, I remember about 5 years ago, me and my girlfriend used to come here all the time, the staff knew us and were so awesome! Unfortunately this place has been going down hill in my opinion, staff are different now, not so nice (rude actually), and the food quality has gone seriously down, sad to see a place you’ve once loved fall apart, Il be going to to Swiss donair who is literally right beside, instead.

Cold and dry Donair. Thought it might be a one off. Nope. Both donairs and the poutine were garbage.

Terrible. Fries not cooked. Barely any gravy. No cheese and not even a container full.absolutely no taste! Worst order ever!

My husband and I have been going to the Tamarack neighborhood since it opened. We have not been disappointed up till now. We were told after entering that it would be about 15 minutes as the guy just opened the store, we said okay, after a while wait, he came over to take our order, to finish off our order of donairs we asked for a regular poutine, and that is when he said the fryer was broken. I was disappointed but was excited for my donair. We waited 20 minutes, got our order and drove home which is 4 minutes away. Both donairs were cold and the wrap was hard and chewy, so

I bought 1 large fries and 1 large poutine but after I orderd my older brother told me to buy another large poutine I ordered and I payed 27 dollars, but when I went home I opened the boxes in they were half empty so I wouldn't recommend buying anything from them

Unfriendly staff donair tasted like garbage. Used to be a good place with the old owners first time I tried it since the switch. Would not recommend try swiss donair or donair lover

If I could give them zero I would. Orderderd a couple donairs. First the donair meat was dark and dried out as if it were jerky. Secondly it was cold. Third, the guy wrapped the aluminum wrap inside the pita. Never again. Only reason why I have it a chance was the Swiss do air was extremely busy out the door and I didn't want to wait. I still had to wait for these guys although they didn't have much customers. Literally, there is a reason why the place next door is always extremely busy. You're only getting the overflow if customer. I'm honestly disgusted.

EMT's driving my brother to the Grey Nun's after he burst out an umbilical hernia stopped here on the way. We took the opportunity to try out their eponymous Top Donair. My Goodness!
The beef must have been blessed with sacred herbs, the tomatoes surely descended along a vine from the Heavens, the lettuce could not have been other than that which Hildegard of Bingen herself described, and I have nominated the sauce to the Nobel Prize committee.
Although miraculous for flavour alone, it was equally striking to see it *reverse* my brother's hernia! We all witnessed as the intestinal rupture wormed itself back below his muscular tissues. (It certainly couldn't resist metabolizing the remnants of that sweet sweet food product.)
Thanks to Top Donair my brother and I have grown big and beefy, and no longer suffer from tortures of the flesh.

I usually love this place so much! Ordered today from Uber eats my sandwich was ice cold. The cheese wasn’t melted at all was cold. The meat wasn’t even warm was actually cold bread seemed old. And there was just a bunch of sauce no lettuce or tomatoes or meat. Will be the last time I ever order from here really disappointed

Ordered a super donair with cheese and a reg with cheese pita was not steamed and cheese was ice cold and barely any meat call store and remade order again same thing what a joke

Donair sub was awesome. Really good donair meat. Noor the owner is very welcoming had a nice chat about the hospitality business with him. And yes he's covid safe!

Friendly staff, fast service, Donair meat was a little dry. The lady asked what sauce I wanted, I said sweet sauce and then she put no sauce.
Didn’t find out until I got home.

Beware, the staff working and preparing you food is not wearing masks and one of them is caughing without covering his mouth, food is not fresh at all, I threw it away after one bit and I'm not sure if something is wrong if I eat the whole thing. Couldn't sleep well due to the scene I saw. I won't come back again

This is a great place for your late night eats Swiss donuts next door but their hours and being closed on Sundays and Mondays leads me to use this place more and more often friendly service they treat you right great toppings ask for it toasted and well done and you won't be disappointed

They prep my donair in less than 10 mins. I got a run after that. Tomatoes tasted rotten. I would stay away from this place from now on.

Extremely low quality, the pizza is dry and everything overcooked, the staff is not wearing mask. Better stay away from this restaurant. Very low standard of no standard at all

I'm from Halifax, the and have had a hard time finding donairs here that came close to the ones back east, where the Canadian style donair originated. KOD on Whyte Ave is excellent but now too far away for us, so we tried Top tonight.

These are AWESOME! They easily rival the best you'd find in Halifax or anywhere else. Perfect sweet sauce, meat spiced just right.

You will not be disappointed.

Oh God, this place is so good! Even during quarantine, we come grab the donairs and fries from here to help support their business. Love love love them! The top Donair in downtown is also good as well, mostly their fries!

We tried other Donair places, there's even this place called Swiss Donair right beside it. Nope. First and last time we ordered there, it was like eating a Donair with a bag of soup, cuz their sauce was so liquidy.

The food is good but the staff were not wearing masks while prepping it which considering its a bylaw to prevent covid seems disgusting.

Handling money and cooking food after.not washing hands.reported to health department.they dont want to listen to orders or dont understand me. I order cheese donair and get no cheese. I ask for a little tazeki sauce and get none. I go in next time and say make sure to put cheese.again they put none.if I'm paying for cheese donair give me cheese on my donair. I also asked ensure the donair meat is hot.ice cold. I'm not giving these guys another chance

3 employees were working in total. 2 did not wear a mask and the other who was wearing one kept removing the mask in-between taking orders. They also had customers coming in without masks and allowed them to remain in store and wait for their orders with out masks on. These customers also did not respect a 6 m distance away.

I am sorry but I definitely think is the worst Donair pizza I have had so far. It is too dry and tasteless. The customer service was really good.

Awful experience first time trying it I ordered 2 of the same donair and I got 2 different types of bread and cold meat Also I ordered a 2 litre pop and instead of them calling me to tell me they have none they gave me three cans which basic math doesn't equal 2liters

Absolutely best Pizza and Donair place in the city!
Their food isn’t dripping with grease/oil like many of the others!
