Most winters I do the 42 km Kananaskis XC Ski Marathon. I joined Torch this past summer to try and get fit enough to lower my time, and recently I did a long training ski after 3 months with Torch. The results were terrific. Normally, this early in the season, the last hour of the ski is excruciating, and you wonder why you bother. Not this year. I powered through it no problem and I am looking forward to a better time in February thanks to Torch.

Love it, great workouts and you will be challanged. You will not have to spend hours a gym for no results. The results happin here! Now been going for a few years, well over 300 classes feeling better and stronger after each one.

If you are looking for a fresh start, and a new beginning for your health journey, you have found the best of the best! Aaron and Jill are absolutely AMAZING! Not only did they make me feel a part of the torch family, they helped and encouraged me so much over the last 6 months, I have lost 25 lbs and over 4 inches around my waist! They even helped me by setting my own personalized workout when I was dealing with some personal health issues.
They check in on your progress, assist with nutrition, and support you 100% along the way. They didn’t even charge me the first month until the third week, just to make sure I was comfortable with the program!
I have never found anything like this program, and it has changed my life.

This gym will change your life! Since joining 5 years ago, my body and mind have completely transformed thanks to Aaron and his team. I have never experienced anything even close to this level of world class training and knowledge! Not only does Torch offer a combination of weight training, cardio and core classes, they also provide 1 on 1 advice and motivation when it comes to mindfulness, eating a proper diet and worries about injuries or past surgeries/illnesses. You can fully trust this team to take care and coach you through ANYTHING! Life changing.

I have been attending classes at Torch for 6 months now and absolutely loving it! Coach Aaron has worked with world-class trainers, and has used that knowledge to create a program that challenges you both physically and mentally. This is definitely some of the hardest training that I have done, but the most rewarding!

Coaches Aaron and Jill push your limits, but I am always impressed when I achieve more that I thought I could! Doing a variety of competitive sports over the years has taken a toll on my body so now at 44 nursing injury has become a bit of my norm, but at Torch the coaches modify the programs as needed without sacrificing the burn which have absolutely aided in recovery and helping me to gain back my strength, and mobility. Aaron and Jill want you to succeed in hitting your goals, and give you all the tools and knowledge you need to get it done!

Class sizes are quite small which gives them the feel of personal training without the additional cost which is an added bonus! The classes are hard and the blasts at the end are KILLER but the variety and challenge of each class will keep you coming back! I would highly recommend Torch to any fitness level.

Aaron is brilliant. I've never seen a trainer take so much of their own time and money and invest it into furthering their education to better a clients experience and results.

It's not just "a workout, " it's a process. With Aaron, you'll learn every detail if you pay attention. You'll learn how to move, your aches and pains will go away, you'll build strength, change your body and come out better than ever before. Because he spends his time and money working with some of the top coaches and teachers in the world, you're going to get a world class fitness experience.

I've had the opportunity to work with Aaron and in his programs to learn some stuff that you can't learn anywhere else. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a higher caliber training experience.

Aaron and Jill were a pleasure to work with during my time at Torch. The workouts they offered always challenged me and pushed me past my limits. I would recommend Torch to everyone.

Aaron and Jill are amazing people. Aaron has extensive experience in building core, strength and flexibility. Both of them are people that will take the time to help you achieve your fitness goals. Aaron and Jill are great trainers and have down to earth personalities that will make your workouts worth your time and money.

Working out with Torch has been a game changer. Aaron and the Torch coaches do not mess around. They've helped me push the limits of what I ever thought my body was capable of. I lost 16.5 pounds and 8.8 inches in only a month. I feel great! I have more energy and enjoy everybody and everything around me more. I find that booking my time in advance holds me accountable and I don't flake out because I don't feel like it or am too tired. There is no can't.only can't YET - as skill acquistion and proper form is huge! If you are ready to make a real change, Torch is for you. Torch means results.

I joined Torch about 7 months ago after finding them online. I was a bit nervous about starting after reading so many reviews from people who seemed to be in such good shape to begin with - something I certainly was not! The first class was HARD! But after 2 weeks I was hooked.

The classes are always different and challenging. I'm still learning something new almost every class. Aaron and Jill are wonderful instructors who are always providing feed back to help you succeed at your goals. I especially appreciated when they modified workouts for me so I could keep training even after a pretty serious injury (acquired outside the gym).

I've seen so many improvements not only in how I look but also in how I feel. I have more energy and a lot more confidence!

My hubby & I joined Torch Fitness primarily because of it's fantastic location. Well, that and Aaron said we'd never have to do burpees in his classes! Immediately I began to sincerely appreciate Aaron's approach and the strong focus both coaches (Aaron & Jill) have when it comes to having you execute excellent technique. This is important to me, and the results I’m seeing are proof in the proverbial pudding.

You see, I come from a background of volume when it comes to working out (who doesn’t?), and where my sport eventually left me with a pretty bad back. So for years I’ve been living with pain, limitations and, did I mention, pain. Working with Aaron is and has changed all of that. I’m doing movements and weight that are actually making things better! This is unheard of especially in the exercise world where it’s all “no pain, no gain”! My Physiotherapist’s eyebrow raised at the improvement he saw on my last assessment. I can do things that I could never do before from simply lying on my back with legs straight out, to a run, or a front squat. My pain is markedly less, I’m stronger, my posture has improved. I owe all of this to Aaron and cannot thank him enough.

Both Aaron and Jill have blown away my old paradigms when it comes to working out. They do demand excellence in the moves from you, and push you to your limits and what feels like beyond during the 'blasts'. The classes are small which I adore. That means they see everything you do, so you can’t “dog it”! All kidding aside, that’s what pretty much everyone on the planet needs to get past their self-imposed limitations. Every day at Torch is different, which is fun and invigorating.

Torch Fitness may not be for everyone, though it should be. You have to work hard every time and give it your best. Some days life seems makes it hard to do that, but with the help of your coaches you push through and feel better for it. Then the results come. That makes it all worthwhile.

I was referred to Torch to do a 4 week challenge by a friend. I normally play volleyball 2x a week on top of my workout schedule so time constraint was a huge obstacle during this challenge for me.

I felt the first week of the challenge was quite easy and I didn't feel like I was getting much added value from Torch, but once Aaron and Jill were comfortable with my form and how I was performing, they increased the difficulty and weight and I enjoyed it much more!

The class is typically structured with weight training and then their 'blasts' (the circuit portion - always the most challenging part of the class for me, but the most fun!). The rest of the challenge was incredibly helpful and fun for me. The blasts were tough and I felt like I was really pushing myself without the muscle fatigue that I have experienced in previous fitness classes, which allowed me to train more often. I feel like I have gained a ton of new knowledge and technique and I am excited to incorporate them into my workouts.

I also really enjoyed the Olympic Lifting classes they offer. I've done some power cleans, but I've never been comfortable enough to try snatches. Aaron offered amazing introduction to the snatch, always corrected my form when he saw it needed improvement, and gave me incredibly helpful tips.

The class sizes are small, so every class feels like a personal training session. Aaron, Jill, and Kayla are so great with answering questions and encouraging you to give it your all without risking injury. Since the class sizes are small, I often saw the same people every time I went to Torch, so it was nice to build those relationships during my time at Torch. Everyone was always incredibly welcoming and offered tips if they saw me doing an exercise incorrectly.

I have been going to Torch Fitness for about 14 months. The format is what could be called small group training and is much more personalized than the large commercial gyms. Classes are a combination of power, strength and cardio training and can be challenging.
Aaron works very diligently evolving and varying the training to achieve longer goals beyond the class at hand. This provides consistent benefit and development to each muscle group and allows one to maintain interest over time.
Torch is very careful to emphasize proper form over weight or reps. In this way the possibility of injury or aggravating an existing injury is minimized.
Aaron's program is not for those with a casual attitude toward their own fitness. However seeing positive changes in my own strength, tone, and flexibility has been well worth the challenge.

I have been a Torch member for 10 months. The classes are small and intimate which makes the classes feel as though they are personal training classes, but at a fraction of the cost! Both coaches, Aaron and Jill, focus on proper technique which increases motivation for improvement, and accountability.
They truly do endorse training smarter, not harder. I would recommend this class to anyone looking for proper commitment to fitness and technique. The longevity of your body, and your long term health is truly their top priority.

I joined Torch over 2 years ago after one of the challenges and I am amazed at Aaron's creativity and knowledge. In that time I have never done the same workout twice it's always changing and evolving. Even after I tore my ACL skiing I never missed a workout, Aaron was able to modify my workout to help rehab my knee but still challenge me with an intense heart pounding sessions. I was back to regular workouts by 6 weeks and I continue to build strength and stability. Torch workouts are unique and tough and I have seen amazing gains in strength and endurance.

I started at Torch when I signed up for a 3 week challenge on a referral from a friend. Within 3 weeks I was hooked. I love the small classes. It's almost like having a personal trainer. Aaron has extensive knowledge, a wealth of experience and lots of passion. And Jill too! The 'blasts' are different every class so you never know what you're in for. I always leave the class with a sense of accomplishment. I feel healthier and stronger then ever. I recommend Torch to anyone who wants a challenge both physically and mentally. Torch members are great too!

After suffering a neck injury, and after more than a year of rehab and not being allowed in the gym, I gained more weight than I ever had. Once I was allowed back, I needed motivation and accountability while still keeping proper form to not re-injure. A couple of friends suggested Torch. I started the program in February, and not only seen results with weight and how my clothes fit, but I haven’t felt as strong and physically healthy in almost two years. The trainers know what they’re doing, and with small class sizes, they are able to ensure everyone is in proper alignment and form. I’m a believer, because Torch has done what I couldn’t do on my own and has helped me start to re-gain my pre-injury body and strength!
