THANK YOU! I brought my mom in last Thursday looking for a whole new wardrobe. She needed everything. We came right around opening and were greeted by some wonderful people. Explained the situation because my mom has been going through hell with her treatments and is winning her cancer battle! My mom hates shopping. I love it! And boy did we shop. And wow did we get help out the wazoo! We had every item brought to us and it was yes or no and the fitting room had everything set out, organized, and ready to go. My mom was all smiles! We got everything needed and we got extra love and attention from everyone there. Thank you for giving my mom a wonderful day out and a beautiful experience. You all made her happy. She needed this Thank you so much. From the bottom of my heart
I was helped by Kaitlyn; she was kind and worked to find the right fit for me, while maintaining a welcoming and understanding mindset. The service here truly sets apart stories similar to Torrid.
The staff were super helpful and friendly. I wish I got their names so I could have put them in here. Loved the shoe selection but I had a hard time going through the clothes. I wish they had a Canadian website to order from instead.
The ladies here are so ice, even at closing time! I was in the change room and they had closed and Cindy was running around still trying to find the right size of jean for me. I was ready to walk out of there with nothing when she came to my rescue and found the perfect fit. Thank you so much to you Cindy and the other two ladies working that night for putting up with me making you work past closing!
*Update* spoke to manager and assistant manager today about yesterday and they have invited me back to grab what I need tomorrow and apologized for the issues yesterday. Here's hoping it goes better tomorrow!
I am less than impressed by my experience yesterday at this store. I am medically exempt from wearing a mask, I called last week and spoke to the assistant manager about how they handle exemptions, because after wasting an hour on the website picking out clothes (my first choice), I realized I can't ship them to a store near me as that option isn't available in Canada. Would have been good to know previous to the wasted hour. So I spoke to the assistant manager and was assured it was fine, just let the person at the front door know I had spoken to her and they would let me shop. I drive all the way out from Calgary, SE to Crossiron Mall Torrid just to be rudely told at the door that I am not allowed in, the fact that the assistant manager approved it doesn't matter, and she offers the useless suggestion that I can shop online if I'd rather (to which I informed her that isn't an option in Canada and she responded that she didn't know that). Not only am I not impressed by the lack of consistency in staff information and the waste of my time, not to mention the frustration and embarrassment at the door, but the absolutely ignorant suggestion of an online option for shopping that isn't accurate. I call ahead specifically to avoid issues like this at the stores themselves. I would rather go somewhere else than to give my money to such a rudely run business.
I will never shop here again. Staff was so rude with me over wearing a mask when I'm exempt. She treated me like a dog. Made me wait outside until everyone was out of the store (all 2 of them!) then would only allow me up to the register to pay for my 1 item that she had to get for me since I was not allowed in the store. Very rudely informed me she was doing me a favor as she would get into trouble if she was caught allowing me into the store. Unreal! Also was informed that the American head office made it the law. I had no idea the usa made laws for Balzac. I will not spend another dime with this company!
Gorgeous clothes, shoes and accessories that you do not have to be plus sized to wear. Looked around for a solid 20 minutes obviously needing assistance and received nothing but looks from employees. Associate who was not at all busy clearly seen me on multiple occasions, just looked at me up and down. Nobody said hello to me or even flashed me a smile. Found a few things I liked but not interested in giving your shop business if you cannot provide basic service to customers. Based off of reviews below I’m not the only one who had a similar experience. Looks like management needs to step it up in the customer service department.
This store is so beautiful. Staff is lovely. But honestly this store is priced way too high. Normal everyday people can not afford $100 per item. $120.00 for a bathing suit is ridiculous. You can buy the same stuff online for $30.
I am a frequent Torrid supper. I have only ever been to the cross iron location, but every time I go I’ve received great-excellent service. But the last time I was there was one for the books (the good books). I was having an incredibly hard time with finding stuff that fit me right, and the staff went above and absolutely beyond for me. I spent a total of 3 hours in there, had a couple mental break downs, but they were like my spirit guides. There was a girl who was newer who was primarily helping me, and I just gotta say she damn near changed my life that day. Her compassion and kindness is priceless and no company could compensate her enough for the real work she did for me that day. Ladies, I am eternally grateful for the amazing service and friendship you gave me that day, and I am so happy that such a dreadful experience (on my own part) turned into a wonderful day that landed me some beautiful new clothing. Thank you, again, from the bottom of my heart. You’re all so admirable.
Because clothes are for larger woman they seem to think they can charge triple for everything and take advantages of curves no thanks thats for my husband to do!
