Total Focus Northgate and Dry Eye Clinic

Olivia who attend and with her assistance, everything i want and looking for the eyeglasses is being met easily. With her recommendations leave me astonished for her choice is simply better than mine.

Coming down to Edmonton from Calgary this clinic has great customer service and comfortable to wear eyeglasses of your choice. Excellent value for money. I'd thoroughly recommend you check this out and look for Ms. Olivia (Thank you)

My first time at Total Focus, I waited 30 minutes after my appointment time before I was brought in by the Dr.
No staff advised me they were running behind, and no staff acknowledged the 30 minute wait, which I would have appreciated. In the room I was met by a curt and impatient Dr.who was less than a joy to be in a room with.

We went for an eye check up this morning and the doctor was amazing. In choosing our eye glasses and sunglasses we were assisted by Olivia, she was so friendly and knowledgeable at what she does. With her expertise, we were happy with our first visit at the clinic. Definitely we will recommend her to our family and friends.

I went there to get glasses for me and for my son. Olivia was very helpful and knowledgeable. She helped me and my son find the right frame. She has good customer service, highly recommended and will definitely go back there.

I recently had a sudden change of vision (blurred/reduced vision). I waited a few days before making an appointment for a health exam to see if it would resolve itself. The optometrist couldn't identify the problem and convinced me that I just needed an updated pair of glasses against my better judgement. I paid $120 for an eye exam and then another partial payment of $200 for glasses. While waiting for my glasses my vision returned to normal. When my glasses were ready I went in with the sneaking suspicion that the prescription would be wrong and low and behold they were. Much worse than my 5 year old pair. They tried very hard to convince me that it was correct and I just needed an adjustment period. I've been wearing glasses my entire life. They're wrong. So they set me up with another exam. I showed up to the exam today and told the optometrist that I would just like a refund. Because I wanted a refund he thought it unnecessary to check my eyes again. I was told that normally they cannot do a refund but they can write out a cheque. Which is fine. But when I asked what the amount would be on the cheque, they told me it was only for the glasses. They will not refund me for the eye exam which yielded incorrect results and ultimately doesn't benefit me whatsoever. I shouldn't have to pay for their mistakes! Not only that but they're acting like they're doing me a favor "making an exception". They told me that they can't return the lenses and that the optometrist spent time with me; as if that's somehow my problem and as if MY time wasn't important. What good is that time if you can't identify a problem and worse; prescribe incorrect lenses?

I went in for a free health exam! I don't have hundreds of dollars to throw around for glasses I ultimately don't need! This location acts like a car dealership. Not only could they not identify the underlying issue, they convinced me I needed glasses that I do not. They literally just robbed me of $120 and my time. Apparently my only option is to write out this review and to never see them again.

UPDATE: Apparently it takes more than a week to write out a check. I still have not recieved it and when I called I was told that they will call me in to pick it up. It's looking like I'm $320 short now for a service and product I did not recieved. These people are literally thieves and I will be contacting the AAO, ACO, COA, and CPSA until I get my money back.

I've been going here for a while now. It can be a little difficult trying to get a regular optometrist at this location (as the 2 optometrists that I have had here had left). However, the people here are usually really patient and attentive to my needs and inquiries. By far, the best staff member there is Olivia! She helped me pick out the best pair of glasses that suited me. She really took her time explaining things clearly and went above and beyond taking care of me!

It was an awesome experience. Neat place. Wonderful choices of frames.

Highly recommend this optometry clinic. They have excellent customer service and a wide variety of frames to choose from. We have trusted doctor Torbeih with our family’s optometry needs for more than 10 years now and he never seems to disappoint. 10/10 would recommend!

Edit: customer service has gone downhill. After being a loyal client for many years, it was too much to ask for my prescription to be emailed to me because I had a balance owing for glasses I haven’t been able to pick up because I’ve been sick with covid. Totally unnecessary and I won’t be back here. Other recent interactions have been less than what’s expected.

One of the best place to find good quality eye glasses. Dr Torbieh has been our eye Dr for more than a decade now. Very professional and very knowledgeable. A very pleasant Doctor and a good listener as well. I also love Olive. Very patient and very helpful in finding the right eye glasses for you. She will not stop until she find the best for you But in all honestly all the staff in total focus are very helpful and kind.

I've only had good experiences at Total Focus Northgate. When I ordered my prescription sunglasses, Sophia went above and beyond helping me stay within my budget. Even though I was there for my sunglasses, Sophia made sure everything was fitting and working properly with my glasses as well, even ordering me new lenses to correct issues with my depth perception. The great customer service is definitely the reason I will continue to go back. Frames are a little expensive here but I guess that's what's to be expected with designer glasses.

I don't like the policy wherein you cannot cancel your order. I just left the store less than an hour and decided to cancel it because the price of the eyeglasses is way too much but you need to wait for almost 3 weeks for you to have it.

Love the service I get from total focus, especially from Dr Tourbeih. Everyone is so helpful, they make you feel valued as loyal customer for years. I have never been disappointed with the level of service I receive with every visit. Well done all staff at total focus.

Dr. Ullah is amazing and she takes time to do the eye exam. The staff are very friendly and courteous especially Olivia is very accomodating and showed me options to choose my glasses. Covid protocol is strictly implemented and observed. Highly recommended.

I had an amazing experience, I needed a second opinion on an eye Injury and Dr. Torbeih got me in that day and spent an hour going over my eye health history and doing an exam on my eye and confirmed what I believed.he was patient and listened to my concerns around my last eye place. I am very happy with the services and will be moving my eye care to this clinic.

I had a disappointing first experience. I received an email from Total Focus Northgate saying I was selected as the winner of one of their social media contests, and that I would get $210 off my next set of frames and lenses. The fine print said only "Select designer frames only". I called ahead of time to ask which frames were included and the employee I talked to on the phone assured me that it was good for anything in store, despite the fine print.

However, after picking out my frames after arriving, I was informed that my winnings didn't apply to that type of frame (likely because they were too inexpensive). With this type of business practice I don't think I'll be returning.

Pros: the staff were pleasant and attentive and the store was clean and organized.

This place cares more about profit than treating you right.they don't give you your PD measurements and contact lense prescription information before purchase. A Walmart doctor once gave me all that info no questions asked.here you have to pay extra for that.
