Don and Crysta were wonderful to work with. They were the only company that came and found a way to let me recycle some of my old media equipment. We recently engaged Total Home Technologies to install outdoor lights in our backyard, in our deck stairs, along the fence, by the BBQ area and by the firepit. They were very helpful during the planning process and were flexible about changes as the project evolved. They provided options and expressed what they felt would work best in the space. Upon confirming our order, they delivered and installed the lighting within two weeks which is great. They took great care with the install, hiding wiring and protecting the building materials throughout our backyard. Had used Don for a minor problem with my internet and later moved to a new apartment and had Don come in and install speakers and set up home entertainment system. Don was always there when he said he would be, was very professional providing quotes on each level of service and equipment.

Had a $8,000 system installed (3 TV's connected to a media box in the basement with IR remotes). The system and experience has been a hassle from the start.

- Remote never worked consistently in the upstairs room.
- Ended up paying an actual reputable home entertainment company to install new IR remotes that correctly work with our house.
- Ongoing issues with quality of installation, products and set up.
- The central media box is an absolute mess inside and the company we had to get in after to start fixing issues was shocked and amazed we paid $8,000 to have this mess installed.
- A HDMI cable that was too short was installed and we have an "extender" on it - which is not optimal.

In regards to your reply. You are partially correct. I would hope a "quality" job would have more lasting power, and actually work from the completion of the job.

The remotes were only PARTIALLY refunded to us and were coded as a "warranty" return. Not the remotes fault they were just not the right remote for our job due to the distance, signal through walls, floor etc. Not "defected" or "warranty" as you indicate, just not the right product, along with other incorrectly chosen equipment that were installed as part of our system.

Excellent service from Don. Quote was reasonable and accurate. Parts supplied were of high quality as was workmanship. Don has a professional and friendly attitude and was very knowledgeable on how to setup the system. Highly recommended.

So glad i decided to give Total Home Technologies a call for our home networking needs. Don called me back right away and went over what our issues were and came up with a solution right away. On install day Don arrived at the time he said he would, and was very thorough in his explanations of what he was doing and how to use the service once it was up and running. We did have some technical issues about a week after the install, All it took was one email to Don and he was there to fix it.
I would not hesitate to use this company again, and cannot recommend them enough.

From first interaction to completion of our projects, Don and his computer technician Chris were very responsive and helpful. We had two projects: (i) a reconfiguration and replacement of our home office computer and related systems (including home wifi, complex cable management and so forth) ; and (ii) a basement theatre retrofit project including installation of a big screen projector.

Don and Chris met with us and, without obligation or pressure, walked us through various options and recommendations always being conscious of the costs involved. After much dithering (on our part), we selected systems based on their suggestions. We were pleased that in a number of instances they suggested we acquire the necessary equipment (including the places to purchase from) ourselves. In each case, we were supplied with very detailed quotes.

Once the project started, it was completed in a very efficient manner and to the specification and price agreed upon. We greatly appreciate Don and Chris' assistance and are very pleased with the results.

We recently decided to update our 14 year old home theatre projector. After reading all of the positive reviews, we called Total Home Entertainment at the beginning of December. Don responded quickly and provided a detailed written estimate, keeping in mind our budget. We are thrilled with our new projector and universal remote and the fact that Don made a special effort to have it installed before the Christmas holidays. He followed up with us a couple of weeks after installation to see how everything was going and even stopped by to add our son’s PS4 to the remote. We had Don install a six zone sound system which included two home theatre surround set-ups (Sonos), automated lighting and a home security system. We hired Total Home Entertainment to install a media system into our new house. Don worked to understand what we wanted and further clarified what we would do ourselves vs what we wanted him to do. The quote that he put together was thorough and detailed enough to understand what we were getting and why. Because components were readily available, we were able to schedule a relatively quick installation date. Don's crew showed up the days as scheduled at roughly the promised time. Due to the complex nature of the installation, there were some technical difficulties encountered. However, Don continued to work at the issues and eventually resolved the problems. The system does everything that was promised and our cost was exactly as quoted. Don has continued to follow up post job to ensure we are happy and has made adjustments to the system as we learn more of its capabilities. I highly recommend Total Home Entertainment.
