Highly recommend. Very friendly staff, very good food. More expensive than general takeout, or certainly fast food but very good value and I’m already planning to return and try more.

I recommend the Salmon Nigiri, as well as the Bento for first time visitors to try a number of different items.

Just finished our lunch here, we had the tataki beef, salmon Bento box, and the spicy roll combo. The food was excellent, and great value for the price. The owners are friendly and helpful. Quick service as well! We'll definitely be back, even though we live on the other end of the city. Very pleased to have found this place.

If I could give 10 stars I would. The food was amazing. We had a poke bowl, bento box and dumplings.

First time trying TOYO, and I’m so glad I did! The Poke bowl has to be one of the best in the city for price and quality. I ordered the 3 scoop, 2 salmon and 1 tuna. The textures and flavours were on point. Must try the house sauce! Generous portions and very kind service. I will definitely be back!

Ordered from skip the dishes food overall was great except everything was ice cold the sushi obviously will be that's fine but our gyoza and wontons were just so cold but tasted good will order again for sure

Great sushi, their sushi burrito is my new favorite! And they have one of the best beef tataki I've ever had.

Ordered take out. The salmon they use is extremely low quality and had a bad smell and taste to it. Quality might be different for dine in, but would not recommend going here.

Delicious sushi, hand cones, maki, poke bowls and bento boxes. Very well packed with lots of different sauces. Price is good too. Love getting takeout from here, I don’t know about deliveries cause well delivery services are a rip off. Always order takeout to give restaurants the most profit.

My go -to sushi spot! It’s a friendly family owned business which never fails to satisfy my sushi cravings.

Ordered 2 Poke Bowls and 1 Feature Roll.

Genuinely surprised by how stacked the poke bowls were.
Loaded with your selected proteins and plenty of shredded carrot and bean sprouts.
Mine and my partner's reaction was pleasant surprise as we had to literally DIG through the large portion to find rice at the bottom.
Normally with poke many places don't give you nearly as much fish and toppings, and much more rice.
Toyo on the other hand does the opposite.
If you get the poke here you will not be hungry after.
The Feature Roll was good too, but the poke left an impression.

First time ordering from this restaurant. I ordered the poke bowl. It was a bit disappointed because of way too much crispy crumbs and too less rice. Every bite was crispy, not my favourite kinda of poke bowl. It’s like I’m eating crispy crumb bowl not fish bowl if your know what I mean. Sorry… it could be better!

Beautiful platters and great friendly service. Tampura was not as crispy as I would have liked, and the fish on the sushi didn't scream fresh.

LOVE the Salmon Poke Bowl with a bit of spice! I also added avocado as an extra item! Very fresh & ample amount of fish, perfect balance of ingredients, complementary textures (soft/crunchy), right amount of sauce! Two scoops is right for me, 3 for my husband.

I was expecting this to be way too much rice, but nope, perfect amount. I don't like the rolls here because I feel it is too much rice too small fish amount, but I LOVE the poke bowl, will come back again for that many times! I want to try the hot food too, haven't done that.

The poke bowl was so yummy, very filling without being too heavy. Take-out service was fast and friendly.

We discovered this restaurant recently, only to note that my family and I have had experience with the owners before in their previous restaurant in the north end! Nothing has changed - their food is of great quality (my wife and 2 kids have no problem picking something they like from their menu), and the owners are as friendly as ever. It honestly felt like coming back to an old friend's place, and I'd like to say that we felt like we were treated like family. You could tell the owners like to take care of their customers. Now that we found this restaurant, we will be going back here for sure!

Got takeout and it was ready in about 15 minutes. The rolls, maki, green onion cakes and chicken rice bowl were fantastic and they were able to make the rolls I wanted gluten free!

Get the curry sauce on the panko fried pork chop if you can handle a bit of heat. Will comeback.

Chef did wear the gloves but he wear glovers touch pad touch phone touch everywhere then directly touch food make rolls. Very good advice make sure you have very strong stomach, otherwise get ready to be sick! Important none of the food there Fresh! Be safe!

I enjoyed the Sushi from here! The restaurant is fairly small so we decided to just grab take out. It did take a while to get the sushi so next time I may try to order ahead. The prices were great for Sushi though! And good portions. I will definitely be going back.

Friendly staff. Flavourful sushi. Generous portions (the poke bowl with 3 scoops of protein was more than enough for an active, hungry adult). Among our better overall experiences in Alberta. The inside space is straight forward (eg.no frills or romantic lighting) but It was exceptionally clean and that’s a big plus when talking sushi. Overall, a positive experience.

Awesome family owned cute place! I asked the chef for whatever he suggests and he got me the spicy Mexican roll. Oh my goodness was this ever to die for! PLUS the portions on the poke bowl were amazing! Great value, great food, thanks again Toyo Sushi team:)

Great staff, amazing service. The poke bowls are a must have. However, I would probably avoid the green tea on my next visit, $1.99 for what I got was a bit expensive. Its a small thing worth maybe a 0.25 star deduction, but worth mentioning.

Concept order and pay first. Popular spot very busy, lots of customers at lunch. Tempura assorted tasted like perfection. Salmon sashimi on point. Not happy with the freshness of the Tuna sashimi. Green Tea $1.99, would prefer non plastic beverage drinkware as it affects the taste.

The staff and attentive and very friendly. The portions are large and the prices are fantastic. The miso soup and beef tataki were the highlights of my meal, along with the matcha cheesecake. My only complaint is that the rice they use for rolls is a little too firm. I'll likely be back again.

Ordered from Skip the Dishes and there was a problem on their delivery, saying they couldn’t deliver for 2 hours after I placed the order. I canceled the order because we couldn’t wait that long. So, I took a chance and called the restaurant and they said the order was ready but it couldn’t be picked up for a long time. The guy (Benson) was so nice and said they would re-make our order and I could come pick it up, knowing they lost money with the Skip the Dishes order! The food was great and the people were awesome. Thanks for saving our dinner plans! I’ll be coming back for sure.:)

This place is excellent! The food is great, portions are large and filling and the prices are fair. The staff are very friendly and make great recommendations. Service was exceptional and fish was very fresh. Tasted like Vancouver! I had sashimi and the poke bowl. They also have a good amount Iof vegetarian options which is hard to find. I would highly recommend this place.

Such a nice restaurant not hard to find. Owner operated and the staff greet you personally and help explain the choices for those who don’t know a lot about their cuisine. We had the Poké bowl and the beef Tataki for an appetizer. So amazing and tasty. The food was as fresh as could be had and the prices are very fair! I’ll be going back again to try other menu items. You need to eat here!

Really friendly staff, and I'm assuming owner that welcomed us and walked us through the menu. My wife is vegetarian which makes spontaneous restaurant visits challenging, this was nit an issue here at all! Food was delicous will definitely come back!

Both the service and food were wonderful. Even just ordering to-go, the owner was very welcoming and friendly. The poke bowl was delicious and unique. Definitely a hidden gem in the West end.

Ordered a skip the dishes order and the skip the dishes didn’t have a driver for over 1 hour and 40 minutes. At 9pm when the restaurant closed they offered to deliver it to us. Thank you so much you guys went above and beyond when you didn’t have to. Amazing sushi

The restaurant is clean. The staffs are very friendly. The sushi is very good. We had bento box and scorpion roll. They are very good and decently priced. The green tea cheesecake is also very delicious. Highly recommend.

I was craving sashimi and came in with no real expectation. It was the best sashimi I’ve had in a long time and I’ve visited many restaurants and overpaid nearly 2-3x more for “high quality” tuna. Well priced and I really enjoyed it.plus I was in and out in less than 15 minutes from ordering, to getting the food, and eating in-store. Next time I’m in town I’ll back!

My fiance and I went for dinner tonight and were very happy with our service and meal. We ordered the poke bowl (MASSIVE portion), two sushi rolls and a green onion cake. Prices were incredibly reasonable. Manager and staff very very friendly. Place is clean and portions large. Would recommend and would come again for sure:)

We saw the sign while driving past and stopped in. I'd not even heard of poke bowls until our first visit and now I wake up thinking about them. I swear by the spicy salmon bowl with sesame sauce (and a little extra hot sauce stirred in). They also offer cooked meat in the bowls if raw isn't your thing. The staff are friendly and charming and make great recommendations if you're not sure what to get. Absolutely love this place and will continue to visit any chance I get.

We were welcomed with a smile and wonderful service. My partner and I eat sushi quite regularly and we can honestly say that your sushi was the best we have ever had. I highly recommend the Mexican Roll. It was absolutely perfect. The prices were very good and we were full when we left. We are hoping to return this week before we head back to High Level.

Excellent food. Dropped in on a whim, We were in the area and saw thier grand opening sign. I ordered the bento with chicken and tempura with dumplings. Food was delivered to the table promptly. Chicken was lightly fried, moist, soft and best of all, Not chewy. Absolutely delicious. Location is clean with modern decor. Customer service is great, they checked in with us a few times to make sure we were doing fine. 10/10 will come back.
