Got a block heater installed on my dad's car. Davanand went out of his way to get the job done quickly and professionally. Really down to Earth and personable.

Thanks for your help Kevin. My family completely impressed with your professionalism and customer service. ”

I'm so happy to do a business with Kavel Clarke, very professional and very helpful! Much appreciated.

Took a highlander there for winter tire service, none of the 4 tires were torqued correctly leading to almost losing 2 while driving back. I have never had this happen, some of the bolts were loose enough to undo by hand. Worst car service I’ve ever had, could’ve easily killed one of my family members and they have yet to fix it.

It was a nice experience to buy our first Car from Toyota with the helpful guidance of Gaurav. Really appreciate his professional behaviour.
13 October 2023 6:08
Beware of this dealership! I purchased my 2022 highlander last december. On July of 2023, I found some peeling of paint in front of my car and then i noticed that the paint was bubbling when the temperature is really hot. After few days, I reported and brought it to this dealership and they advised me to wait as they will report it to Toyota Canada. However, everytime I follow up, they only say they will get back to me. More than a month has passed and the paint peeled to the worst, it’s the entire front of the car and they are still not getting back to me. I went to this dealership today and talked to the manager name SCOTT! And guess what he said he can’t do anything about this! He said he reported it to Toyota Canada and I asked for the case #, he said he has it but after few minutes he came out with a lady and they said they dont have it. He can’t even show it to me. The agent said its cover bumper to bumper! Where is the coverage now! This is literary a brand new car and I never expected this with TOYOTA! I will never ever let this pass! This is totally unacceptable and very disappointing for a brand new car!

Reg was very helpful and at no time did I feel pressure. Thank you for a good car buying experience!
14 September 2023 11:26
I had really good experience with Kavel. She was absolutely amazing to deal with. I purchased my vehicle from her and it was very smooth transition and best experience. 10/10

Reg Van Tassell was best salesman I have came across in all the years I have been buying vehicles. I will strongly recommend him to all family and friends.
Thank you
Reg

Gaurav took real good care of us. Answered all our queries with a smile on his face. Overall had a wonderful experience with Gaurav. Thank you so much!
26 January 2022 5:28
Really disappointed. If you do a deal with them they will be politest of all but if you go against that deal and don’t want it anymore. They will be rude and find no solution for you. I will never recommend anybody to go here.
21 January 2022 10:51
Just bought a tundra from TOTT. Extremely satisfied and happy so far.
The sales folks are NOT pushy or intrusive. They never bombarded me with calls/emails and let me decide on my own time.
The finance manager was very unlike his peers in some other dealerships and was a great help. Did not push any unnecessary add ons to me.
Rodel was great in showing/explaining the features of the truck was very friendly and knowledgable. Will definitely recommend this dealership and will continue to be their customer.
Must mention the names of folks I interacted with - JP Borja, Al (Finance), and Rodel.

I bought a used Jeep vehicle from Toyota on the Trail, there was a recalled shown in Carfax, at that time, they said there is no problem except for the air conditioning, windshield, and right turning light, the recall problem is fixed. Then I paid 500 dollars for windshield ($400) and right turning light ($100) replacement. When I picked up my car, the right turning light was still dead, and I used 30 more dollars to get a new one from Jeep immediately, which requires appointment here. After two weeks of driving, the check engine light turned on, and I went to Canadian tire for service. They fixed air conditioning and checked the engine for $500, which may require $1000+ if the freon problem is fixed by them before picking up the car. The technician from Canadian Tire said the engine problem comes from the catalyst and recommended me to go to Jeep. As the vehicle was checked by Jeep, there were two recall problems, which is not mentioned by the seller. Fortunately, the catalyst is being recalled, but I should wait for over 6 months. One month later, the liquid coolant became bad, and the coolant temperature sensor is broken, which leads to a highly dangerous road driving. And I went to Medias in order to fix the problem, which takes me over $400. Imaging buying a used car from a licensed seller and going to the service center for 5 times and paying extra $1000 afterwards with no collision or accident, what an excellent experience! If it is your first time purchasing a car, please take someone experienced in car inspection, otherwise just get a new Toyota, don’t touch the used ones. Plus, I don’t mean it is the problem of the salesman, he is very nice. It is just because the seller didn’t check the vehicle carefully and printed out a wrong report.

Last time I change oil to my car the add oil over the high level of oil and when I find that they didn't fix that mistake. I the same time I asked for full service but the didn't do that with all details but the charge my full cost.

There aren't enough words that I can use to explain how incredible this dealership is. Firstly, Raymond the Sales Manager is INCREDIBLE. I have had brutally difficult situations with other dealerships, and Raymond has restored my faith in dealerships again. Specifically Toyota on the Trail. Both myself and my boyfriend have had very positive experiences here. He just bought a car and we thought it would be impossible.but they worked all day and even after they closed tonight, and got him approved. Raymond, Shauna and their team go above and beyond for their clients. We would 100% recommend this dealership to absolutely everyone. We know we'll continue using this dealership for our current and future needs.
Thank you guys so much for how hard you all work, it definitely did not go unnoticed! 10 out of 10!

Went in for a white 2020 crew max tundra and was supposedly getting 10k back. So I was buying a used audi as well. Later on in financing I didnt get the 10k, disappointing for sure but we carried on. Chris Bui made me what seemed like a good deal. I go to sign the bill of sale only to realize the truck was switched to a black 2 door tundra. Chris claims he told me all about this and that I agreed. Which is impossible because I have a growing family and would not of gone with that truck. On paper it says you can only get your deposit back if they didnt deliver on their end. I pointed that out to them whilst trying to get my deposit back and somehow they only have a white crewmax as the truck I'm approved for. I messaged chris personally and the original sales person I was dealing with originally and haven't gotten a response. Its too bad I did like it here before it was go auto. I will definitely be doing an amvic report as well seeing I have all the paperwork they claim doesn't exist. It was a 200 dollar deposit as well.so small, how is that worth this? I hope the GM looks further into Chris Bui as I felt he was a terrible salesman that just told me what i wanted to hear and wrote down completely different things. I have some bad luck with dealers

It's my second time to refer a friend to Amina and Toyota on the Trail and I'm just happy with how they handled the situation. My friend was new to Canada and was hoping to get a SUV and he got it! Amina was super helpful during the sales part since she was also presenting options for my friend with regards to how he can make a smarter decision with his car purchase now and in the future. Once that was ironed out, Luke was helpful on the finance end of things.

What kind of place makes you finance a vehicle and not allow one to pay cash. Absolutely sickening and is only put in place to sichzter more money from customers.

BEWARE. DO NOT GO. SCAM.whether you buy new or used car, you will be ended up with a massive loss
18 December 2021 22:01
I bought a brand new Corolla at this dealership and what a rip off. Gave me a low trade in value on my rav 4 for starters, charged me for that global theft scam. They had to boost the battery 2 times before I drove it home and I even told them the battery should be replaced. They told me it was fine. Anyways I had the battery die on me 2 times and I brought it in for a service and told them to test the battery, once again they said it was good. So the temperature the last week dropped to -10c and it took 8 seconds to start like it was -40c out. I booked it into Sherwood park toyota and they put it on the tester and said it didn't pass the test and are replacing it as I write this lol. So Toyota on the trail would rather have someone stranded on the highway with a dead battery than rather replace it and save a few bucks. They lost my business that's forsure. Don't spend your money there. Go to a good dealership that doesn't lie and cheat. Next year I'll be going to Sherwood park toyota for a brand new Tacoma paying cash.
11 December 2021 5:54
Purchased my first vehicle and Yubo was a treat to work with! Purchasing vehicles can be quite stressful but Yubo made sure I was comfortable and they were very knowledgeable about the vehicle model I was interested in. I could tell Yubo tried their best to liaise between myself and management to give me a fair price. I had several questions about my vehicle and registration and such after purchasing and Yubo has always been available to answer my questions even after business was done. I've emailed other Toyota staff with questions and never received the service and treatment that Yubo has graciously provided me. Thanks for the good experience Toyota!

Beware of the scam - after reading some reviews, it appears that we were not the only ones that they have attempted to victimize with a similar scam. The dealership preaches a 'simple, easy to understand since we've eliminated the extra fees', but this is simply a lie.
We were prepared to pay the asking price in cash for a used vehicle and when we started discussing the cost an addition fee of $699, $500, and $6.25 for AMVIC were added to the sale price. When I questioned them, I was told that $500 was for parts already installed like a block heater cover and cargo mat (which was shown in the online photos). The 699 was for detailing, gas, etching, and some type of insurance. When I pushed back against those fees, I was told that these are not fees, but options. When I asked if I could decline the options, I was told no because they were already installed.
Lucky, I walked away from the deal. Only later that day did I find out that they were in violation of AMVIC, which they are proud members. AMVIC clearly states that 'Advertised price plus GST is the law. ' I encourage you to go to amvic.org and report these illegal sales tactics so Toyota on the Trail, and other dealerships, are held accountable to the law. This is not the first time they have done something like this.

Friendly helpful dealership! Unfortunately didn't end up making a purchase but I got to deal with Lando who tried his best to make an out of province deal happen. He was very polite and friendly and helpful. I'd urge anyone who's looking for a good experience to ask to speak with Lando.

Toyota on the Trail

Great experience! I had a broken part on my bike rack. I sure appreciate the help, starting with Nigel. They fixed the problem with efficiency and with courtesy. I’ll go back there again.
17 November 2021 15:27
Horrible service they have. Dropped my car at 9.45 am and even at 3 pm, car is not ready at all. Didnt get a shuttle service as it was taking more than 30 minutes. My friend dropped me off and iam still waiting to get it done. Horrible service they have.
15 November 2021 19:42
Won't be back, advertised price is not even close to what the price of the vehicle would be they mentioned etching and fuel for 599 I believe the price was, most dealers pay for the first fill up and second vehicles are etched from brand new to transfer the info over is between 30 to 50 bucks, no interest in moving the price at all.
The next day they wanted to make a deal but sorry you lost my trust when you tried gouging. I want to thank the sales person great job by them.
13 November 2021 17:43
I'm glad to see the diverse staff they have on the sales team, and had the pleasure of having Alex Arche as my product advisor. She really cares about your wants and needs and puts that first before anything else.
06 November 2021 0:42
I got a very nice & easy buying process. I'm already loving my brand new 2021 Rav4. Thanks AP Dhaliwal Sales Associate, Shevaana Finance Manager & Raymond Sales Manager. Keep it up.
04 November 2021 14:19
Extremely disappointed with the service department. I was silly enough to purchase a 2 year service plan with our 4runner (4 service appointments done at this dealership), First, they overtightened the engine oil filter housing, which cause me to use 1/2 breaker bar to brake it loose and still it only came loose once it broke ($over $200 part that IS NOT readily available). According to the service sheet they lubricated drive shaft twice in the last two years - this fall I went under to do it my self and found all 3 fittings still covered in factory paint meaning that a grease gun was never attached to them before.
02 November 2021 17:28
In February of this year I purchased a 2013 Toyota Tacoma from them. After having such a bad experience (incorrect paper work on their end, vehicle missing wheel key to name a few) I sent an email to their manager Cody Shott asking to see what he could do to remedy it. I never received a response back, this certainly left me with a sour taste. All it seemed like he wanted to do was make the sale. I would never buy a vehicle from them again.
02 November 2021 2:09
I have been to several Toyota dealerships and nothing compares to this one. The services that Lindsay provided me were absolutely unmatched and she helped me find the car of my dreams. I will definitely be sending all of my friends and family here!
16 October 2021 18:07
I’d highly recommend WonYoung Choi! Came in looking to browse some new models of the RAV4. Didn’t pressure me at all so I felt really comfortable. Was very knowledgeable as well about the specs and answered any questions I had.
11 October 2021 19:47
Raymond was great wonderful. He was very patient, very knowledgeable and was nice to me and we had good laughs as well. I highly recommend everyone to go see Raymond, he gave me one of the best customer service to life. Thank you again Raymond!

Sumit was very helpful, knowledgable in helping me select the right car for my needs. He spent the time to explore my options and advices me in making the right choice that satisfied my need and budget.

Worked with Navdeep and Sandy here. The best ever experience from both of them and went above and beyond expectations.
Finance manager Shawna was very good in explaining everything. Loved the service and Amazing customer service. Thankyou guys

If you need to take your Toyota in for any service and take it here, make sure that you ask for Service Advisor Sandeep Jadhav. He is the reason that I keep taking my truck back there for service. He always seems to go above and beyond.
Thank you Sandeep for always doing a great job
13 September 2021 17:20
I highly recommend Toyota on the trail. Ask for Mr. Rahul Bagga, he is the best! He is amazing to work with and makes the process really smooth. He went above and beyond for our search for a vehicle and did a great job answering our questions and concerns. Great service and they know their stuff.
07 September 2021 10:42
The worst treatment I’ve EVER had when buying a car. I was told that since I am treaty, and already not paying GST that I should take the offer I was given, which was totally way over my budget on what I told them what I wanted to pay monthly. I didn’t have a right to negotiate any payment terms because of my treaty card. He kept bringing it up and making me feel really uncomfortable and discriminated against. Not ANY other car salesmen has ever done that.

Edit: Make the drive to Sherwood Park Toyota! They treat you so good, they have the patience and respect you need when looking for a new vehicle.
29 August 2021 17:43
Nope, they're highly unorganized, they lack communication between departments and are tough to get a hold of. Returning calls and emails, yeah.they don't do that. They sold me a car, and totally ignored me afterward. Highly, highly disappointed with my experience there
12 August 2021 12:34
Had the worst first time car buying experience. Travelled to Edmonton and thought it would be better to buy from a dealer than private because it would be fully inspected with a fitness assessment and less likely to have problems. But as soon as we drove off the dealership, theres water leaking from underneath the passenger glove box as it's raining outside. So I took it back to the dealership and had to stay an extra day so they can fix it. On the next day, they fixed the water leakage problem. As were leaving the city I decided to gas up before hitting the highway. I come back into the car after gassing up and the car won't start. Eventually after 15 mins the car started up and I took it back to the dealership and they gave us a loaner for the time until they fixed it. So we had to stayed another night, and the manager said they'll cover the hotel for the night but never heard anything back regarding the hotel expense. Next day the dealership says nothing wrong with the car and they diagnosed it with no problems and full charged the battery.

Long story short. The car dies again 2 days later and since I live in GP wasn't able to take it back so I just did some research and it turns out there was a problem with the negative battery cable and there was a recall for it. Just for this problem I had to miss 2 days of work and stay there 2 nights.

I understand that things like these can happen from time to time and the mechanics can only do their best. BUT the Chevy Cruze was marketed and posted on the website with all the features like bluetooth, AUX, and more. But in actual, it's just a base model with no AC, no Bluetooth, no AUX. I was dumb enough to trust the website and the sales person when they listed the features.

Please be cautious and take your time when buying a car.
They won't do anything after the deal is done and everything is signed.
Don't trust the website or the sales person. Please do your own due diligence and check the vehicle out yourself and the features.

I decided to start looking at CarCost Canada for a vehicle for my wife for pricing options. As soon as i got the report, literally a day later i was called by a sales person at the dealership and i told him i was just browsing and looking so he invited me to the dealership on Saturday as they had some great incentives. I said okay and booked an appointment. I was late for my appointment and was helped by another person. They took details of my trade and what I wanted for a new vehicle. Test drove and when it came to pricing, the sales manager came around with a price almost $4000 higher than dealer invoice and wanted to give me a value well below on my trade in. I said there is no deal here and i was thinking of not getting anything and informed to the sales manager. He pursued to push me to say how we can make the deal happen even though i said there wont be a deal. He said if he is able to get me a better price on the new vehicle and the trade, would I consider? I said if the price is good then should not be a problem. He goes away and comes back stating without a firm commitment this is his best price and if I am not interested then i should wait for when prices and interest rates are better as he is not selling his vehicle for cost or loss. What pisses me off is that i didnt ask him to sell his vehicle for cost or loss. I asked for the best price. He pushed me to stay at his dealership and then he tells me there is nothing he can do. Poor customer experience from the Sales Manager. You invited me to your dealership saying that you have so many incentives. Providing extra incentives is your choice to sell more vehicles but dont expect customers to not negotiate on pricing. Everyone does business to profit and you are entitled to it but i am as well. If you invite someone and push them to stay then don’t treat them like dirt when they want to profit as well. Nobody said I wanted to buy a vehicle from your dealership. I would rate negative if possible. I felt as if i was asked to leave the way the sales manager was rude.

I am not BUYING for sure from this dealership. I don’t expect the management at this dealership to even care about this feedback or might come back with a smart response. This is more for other buyers
24 July 2021 1:24
I will never go back to this dealership ever again after my brief phone experience with one of the finance manager. Pushpinder Singh is the WORST person to deal. He was very rude from the start. I have mentioned to him that my credit isn't the greatest and pretty much brushed me off when he completed the applications. I've dealt with this dealership in the past and have been very happy with them, but after this experience NEVER again!
15 July 2021 14:13
I only bought a replacement mirror glass for my truck from them and it was reasonably priced (very slightly less than MSRP) and arrived quickly (in striking contrast to the other Southside Toyota dealership).
11 July 2021 9:13
Won't accept cash purchases on a vehicle. Will require financing in attempts to make the purchase process more confusing. This is one of the tactic they use to overload you with information so that you make rash decisions. And once they get you to make this mistake, they will gaslight you and blame you for falling for it.

The nature of financing requires non-refundable deposits (also called down payment), a practice that is very unfriendly towards consumers because they get to keep your money even if you no longer want to go through with the deal. They probably make a lot of their revenue this way.

Salespeople will no longer be accommodating once you sign the bill of sale. They have no issues wasting your time waiting to pick up your vehicle.

Salespeople either purposefully feign ignorance to avoid answering unflattering questions, or actually not knowledgeable.

They do a terrible job detailing vehicles. Most likely because at that point in the sales process, you already paid, and they no longer need to put effort on you.

They are not in the business to be your friend, they sell cars. They are NOT your friend. Don't let friendly exterior fool you, it is a sales tactic.

EDIT #1 - Grammar and spelling

EDIT #2 - To the "owner" who replied, "We are sorry YOU feel that way" isn't an apology, it's just a canned PR BS response we've all seen time and time again that says NOTHING. You AGAIN gaslight me and putting the blame on me for not understanding the situation. You lay an elaborate trap for trusting customers to step in, and then blame them for stepping in it.

I hope those who read this review will understand that the purposefully and unnecessarily complicated purchasing process which you guys enact IS THE CAUSE of all the confusion. Your sales tactics DELIBERATLY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF UNINFORMED AND INEXPERIENCED CONSUMERS. You sell cars everyday so you know the ins and outs of the business, but a consumer only buys a car maybe once or twice a decade, you guys have a home field advantage in this game, so don't even pretend everyone is playing on even grounds.

I am primarily writing this review to warn people as to what to expect when doing business with you, and I hope those people can make a better informed choice.
08 July 2021 14:47
I take back what I initially gave as a review. I lost one of my keys so I purchased another replacment key. I went to a registered keysmith with the proper programing tools. THE SERVICE MANAGER refused to give me or the licenced locksmith the hash and pin code to make the new key work. The service rep informed me it was dealer policy to only program new keys in house. Will not come back and will tell others the same.

*Original review* Nice friendly staff, they'll work hard to get a deal acceptable to both parties.
06 July 2021 6:52
Disappointed with the "inspection" that was supposedly done on my pre-owned vehicle I purchased. After making the purchase I took it to my trusted and longstanding mechanic, and he reported that there were at least $2500 in repairs needed. My mistake for not getting it inspected first, but I can definitely report feeling disappointed and taken advantage of as someone (like many of us) who don't know enough about cars to know when salespeople are just saying what we want to hear.
25 June 2021 12:16
I purchased my car from here but I will not recommend no anyone to buy From here what they promised to give me I am not getting and now there way of talking also different very rude not ready to listen
24 June 2021 5:05
This dealership is really sketchy. They quoted a price on a demo vehicle and, during negotiation, raised the price from the original quote. Our salesperson was fine but unfortunately his manager held up the bait-and-switch tactics of the auto sales stereotype.
13 June 2021 11:46
After years of coming here for the service of my truck, and encouraging friends and family to come here for their own toyotas, i unfortunately have to finally stop and leave a poor review. Multiple attempts at upselling extraneous maintenance items during the recurring oil change agreement, stories of my mother experiencing similar concerns and repeated visits for service calls that were rude and left her feeling robbed, and today i picked up my vehicle during a rainy day and found a window was left open. Yes they refunded me, yes they detailed my vehicle for free. But this simple negligence (which has nothing to do with the brand) is the last straw on my camels back. I will be bring my enthusiasm for Toyotas and my confidence in the brand to another dealership.

Both Chitrath Jain and Vik Saini was very pleasant to deal with. They were polite and respectful to the customer and overall very helpful. Upfront, to the point and honest

However as for Chris Bui, this guy is one of worst personnel I have ever dealt with. Not only was he dishonest and rude but has no respect for the customer. He made this one of the worst experience I ever had.

Overall the experience turned out to be ok because I told service I never want to deal with Chris Bui again, and I didn't have to.
04 May 2021 2:00
Too many games being played. They could have saved me the trouble of revisiting the dealership if they were upfront about the pricing during my initial visit. Also, I thought dealerships would typically detail the vehicle before handing over the keys, especially during covid, but they added $599 onto the price for detailing. Won't come back here.
19 April 2021 19:27
Great customer service, staff are helpful and patient. Will do my next service at this place again!
15 April 2021 7:43
Shady dealership, we contacted them about a 2016 Chrysler 300 Touring AWD they have had listed forever. They told me it wasn’t available but they had plenty of other vehicles. A week later my fiancee called and they said someone just put a deposit down but she could put one down too and if the deal doesn’t go down she can get it. Then my brother called later that day and they said they’re pretty sure it’s on the lot but he can come down and check it out. We pulled in less than 5 minutes later as we live close and magically someone had put a deposit down earlier that morning. Total bait and switch and unethical practices. We’re purchasing three vehicles and you won’t get our business. How can we buy from someone we can’t trust?
12 April 2021 15:03
Totally fraudulent finance section, I was charged for a warranty that I did not ask forI overpaid for my car and a couple of days later the rear right wheel bearing started going out and the wheel would tick everywhere I go. My car spent weeks at the dealership before it was fixed, almost 2 weeks later the alternator went out on me in the middle of a traffic light in -40°C and I had it towed to the dealer at my expense. Waiting for it to give up on me again.
11 April 2021 8:18
Whoa!
I thought that I'd be doing this place a service by giving them the super positive review that they deserve -but now I see that they have a pretty good following.a pretty great following, in fact.
The deal (sale that we have) is not quite done 100% but I trust this dealership will follow through and I really did like Harp, our sales representative.
Harp was my first (and only) contact here.
He is able to expedite the process and not waste time!
Dealership is spotless and clean and organized.
Ok, so that was last Saturday-this Saturday I picked up my car, and I should've packed breakfast, lunch and tea.
I walked in with my wingman daughter and saw Harp right away. He's a (friendly, cheerful and happy young guy). He finished our business efficiently and then things went upstairs to Finance Dept.and due south from there.
There were hoops to jump through based on dealership's policy of which I've never encountered before and never want to again. The whole transaction could've seen us depart within 30-45 mins, instead those lonely bean counters upstairs could not bear to be without our company for an additional 2 hours! In the end the solution was simple and quick but it took them that long to know their job.better.
If I dealt with more people like Harp then I'd have given this place 5 stars.

I bought my first ever vehicle from this branch. As a car enthusiast I opted for an Infiniti G37x Sedan and the only reason I came here was to avoid the problems that used cars usually give you. I expected the dealer to have inspected my car fully before my purchase but alas I was wrong. I bought a vehicle 1 grand over market value that had old burnt engine oil and clogged air filters [I did not get reimbursed for the 200$ I spent here]. Upon visual inspection by the lube city mechanic it also had a leaking transmission, transfer case, and engine. I brought the car back only to discover that I also had been charged for a 3500$ warranty that I never asked for. The finance people I dealt with was absolutely fraudulent and full of lies. I asked them to return the vehicle but apparently that was NOT an option. I was given a beater car to drive in Albertan winters for the 3 weeks they spent fixing a damn leak. Overall I ended up with a vehicle I paid 4.5 grand over the market value for and a terrible experience, If I had personal enmity with someone I would think twice before sending them to this dealership. PLEASE SUGGEST A WAY TO RATE 0 STARS!
UPDATE NUMERO UNO: It's been one year since I've had the car and I have taken extremely good care of it. A couple of days ago the speedo stopped working, shortly after which the car stalled to a stop in the middle of a busy intersection on a cold Saturday evening. Upon visual inspection the car alternator seemed to have died, but then a I figured it may be something as little as a fuse or a sensor. Long story short, after hours of trying to boost it I had to tow the vehicle to the dealership. They spent 2 hours "diagnosing" for the issue that I already told them (faulty sensor; AND IT WAS A FAULTY SENSOR). When the issue was fixed I was billed $376ish CAD (don't quote me on that it might be +10 or -10). Fast forward 2 weeks my car broke down again with the same problem. The vehicle will be taken to the dealership tomorrow to have the situation rectified.

Toyota on the Trail is biggest liers including finance department and sales department. I bought toyota care extension and inside dirty painting protection for $900 last year. The finance advisor whose name is Samantha told me that including winter tire swap and inside dirty cleaning for free. When I came for season tires swap, they said it is not free. I was trying to talk to finance advisor and they said that she is gone and the sales said he can not do anything even though he asked the finance advisor before and the finance advisor told him for free. The sales said they are different department, so he can not talk to the finance manager. Do not come to buy any car, because the finance advisor will lie to you for their commission and do not trust the sales, because even though they tell you it is true, but is is not. If you ask the sales to prove it, they will say that I do not know, the finance advisor lie to me.
First time to see the cheating dealership in Edmonton.
Talked to the finance manager. He said the the finance advisor is gone, so nothing can do.
Again No Trusting the Sales, No Trusting the finance advisor and No Trusting this dealership.
I will complain this dealership with Toyota Canada for sure.

Six star service. I purchased a vehicle with the help of Nav and Cody. Both were very fair and excellent to deal with. I had a minor issue with my vehicle that Cody had fixed THE NEXT DAY while coordinating with the assistant service manager Kim whom is very professional. They function like a well oiled machine. My finance experience with Taylor was pleasant too. I am not a bot. I am not a cat. I am a satisfied customer who will return. Highly recommend dealing with any of the four named above if you can.

I’ve had the best experience with this dealership!
During our time of covid they were very respectful and helped with every aspect. They even delivered my car to my doorstep!
Thank you so much for making this purchase seamless and less stressful than what I thought it would have been. Thanks Raymond!

Sandra was a pleasure to deal with and had answers for all our questions. She was very accommodating, respecting the fact that we were from out of town. When we first arrived, it was dark, but it was absolutely no problem. She put the vehicle inside so we could get a better look at it and gave us as much time as we wanted to look things over, even though it was close to closing time. We highly recommend Sandra as your next Toyota sales person. You won’t be disappointed

We ended up purchasing the 2017 Ford Escape from this dealership that we had gone in to see, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, the vehicle was cleaned up great and almost looked brand new. I would recommend Toyota on the Trail.

The service here was friendly and proffesional. The car I had purchased was in good condition although it was missing some things that I wasnt aware of. All and all a pretty good experience

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I like the fact they don't force me to come back to this dealership (which is out of my way but the only one that had my Prius) for regular maintenance. They picked me up from my house. The finance team got me an affordable deal on a comprehensive seven year extended warranty.

My only issue would be that I spent six hours at the dealership to purchase my car, but I assume that would be the same at any dealership. They did pay for my lunch at Tony Romas next door.

Chhaya Kapoor was my sales women and she provided exemplary customer service, going above and beyond to make sure everything went well with my new dodge journey. The weather was awful and I was stuck at a rental office and Chhaya took her own car and picked me up. I was extremely happy with the customer service as well as the professionalism at this dealership. Thank you Chhaya for being so empathetic and personable.

The good:
I recently purchased a 2019 camry from these guys and the sales guys were great. Yuri was good but to be honest, the main reason I went there was Chris Bui. Dealt with him before and knows his stuff. The car is awesome and love it.

The bad:
The day I go to pick up the vehicle, (we were on a time crunch as I had to go to work) however nothing was explained. Sign here, here, here and here. There was a $500 charge for an isurance policy that pays $5000 in the event the car is stolen. When I spoke with Yuri, he stated cars with keys are more at risk than pushbutton start. We put it on as the original car had keys. (ended up with a higher end model with pushbutton) I noticed $1000.00 charge for tire and rim protection which to me was pointless. When I had asked about this it was told that it helped the financing. I call B. S.on this as I have spoken with. C. I. B. C.and was told that would not affect financing. Spoke to the finance dept that set this up and was told we can do something other than rim tire protection. Undercoat/ 3m front mask or what have you. Wasn't interested in any of it but those were pretty much the options. Ok been screwed! (Please bring own Vaseline)

The ugly:
Car was bought on oct 22. Asked to have payments come out of my acct on my payday. Was told that it had to be done on a set day cuz they couldn't change it. Said day comes and goes and no payment taken. Spoke to Marcus yet again, and response was C. I. B. C.hasn't set it up yet. Meanwhile still paying for the car I traded in. Get an email confirming payment dates and low and behold payment comes out 11 days early. I have now changed this all myself with no help from the people at GO Auto or Toyota on the Trail.

Sales guys are great, finance department really needs help. I have found this at different GO Auto dealers I have dealt with.

All in All, I will NEVER deal with GO Auto or Toyota on the Trail for anything ever again.

I will post if anything positive changes.

UPDATE:

After several calls and persistent hounding of reception, I spoke to Helen who dealt with the issues at hand. Kudos to them for standing behind the errors. It not the mistakes it how you fix them.

I need to revamp my rating of these guys.

Well done Toyota on the Trail!

Just tried the chat option to find the answer to a basic question on a in stock vehicle if it has a specific option from the factory. Obviously the system doesn't work or the people on the other end have no clue what they are doing because all the person wanted was my phone number. If you cant answer a basic question how do I expect you to sell me a vehicle or better yet even service that vehicle. Not Impressed with the online help option considering technology today.

Probably THE best vehicle buying experience we’ve ever had!

We were recommended by a friend to check out Toyota on the Trail. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with friendly front staff who quickly introduced us to Rocky who listened to our interests, spoke to us with the utmost respect and care and got us into a beautiful Highlander. His knowledge in the product was great and he went above and beyond in his service to us.

Then there was Phaedy the finance guy who was efficient, knowledgeable and also very respectful and treated us well.

And last but certainly not least there was Sandy, one of the managers, who over saw the process, gave us a fair price on our trade in and came out to meet us twice to be sure we were happy and wish us well.

This dealership and the people who work there are probably the best we’ve ever come across. Very genuine! They went above and beyond anything we expected. Thank you all for making this experience a great one! What a breath of fresh air.

Went in to Dealer brake lights were on. 6,000.00 repair. Service Manager ERIC MITCH was exceptionally helpful. Repaired it on warranty. Even though it was a 2010 with 147,000 kms. Great service, great work Never have been so pleased with the service and product before. My first Toyota and I am sure not my last. Very satisfied by the way Mr. Mitch handles the situation. What a Classy Gentleman.

I was impressed with Michael as an advisor in the sales process. We felt no pressure and he helped match us up with something that fit our needs. While the vehicle that got us in the door was not advertised accurately online, Michael was willing to work to find options that worked for us.

Molly in finance was also helpful and friendly. She wasn't able to be there when we picked the vehicle up but had everything ready for her co-worker to compete the transaction. Unfortunately her co-worker (Claudia?) was less pleasant, seemed inconvenienced by our presence, and gave us the clear impression she had more important things to be doing. Michael made a point of being there for the handoff and his gruff companion from finance was quickly off to her obviously-more-important tasks once we had handed her our down payment.

It's interesting how such a small piece of the overall process can influence the feelings of the experience. I had started with writing a 5-Star rating. Were I to Rate my experience with Micheal alone, it still would be. He was a positive, knowledgeable, and professional. The overall experience was good and I'd recommend Toyota on the Trail.

Great experience with the staff at Toyota on the trail, they have a no pressure sales staff which makes the car purchasing great. Right from the sales manager, financing, and down to my salesman Regan. They definitely got me the vehicle I was looking for and at a great price too. Definitely going to recommend family and friends to this dealership.

The sales associate that assisted me was Yuri. I appreciated the low pressure and low stress that was involved with dealing with Yuri in completing this purchase. He was very willing to go above and beyond in order to accommodate me during the process.

The financing side of the process was much more disappointing as I was sold very low quality warranty for an extremely high price (which I later cancelled for refund) was forced to buy a security etching feature because I was told it was standard practice for Toyota to do this on all used vehicle intakes, only to find that there was no security etching on the vehicle after asking for the work order for my records and was given paperwork that was incomplete or included checkmarks where the buyer was supposed to sign instead of my signature (which I was then told that my signature was not necessary).

In short, the paperwork I received was disorganized and incomplete and I was not provided with appropriate workorder/invoice information verifying the features that I did purchase were in fact installed at time of purchase.

Edit:
Following this review I took the vehicle to my mechanic to complete a peace of mind inspection and investigate a rattling noise that I had been hearing since I bought the vehicle every time I went over any bumps or variations in the road surface. My mechanic found that the noise was being caused by the front sway bar links which need to be replaced along with 4 other items totalling $1600.00 of necessary repairs.

When I bought the vehicle I was provided with a mechanical fitness assessment that had checked off every item as compliant, so I assumed that Toyota on the Trail would admit the mistake and repair the items that required repair. When I brought the issue up to a manager, they did agree to pay for the sway bar link repair because it a life safety issue but claim that the remaining $1300 worth of repairs are normal maintenance items and not subject to review or disclosure as part of the mechanical fitness assessment. They have since come back and agreed to repair another one of the $300 repairs to 'help me out' as if they are doing me a favour, but insist that the remaining $1000 worth of repairs are my responsibility.

I'm not even sure why I have to dispute this with them as the regulations are pretty clear. The mechanical assessment identifies that it is being provided in accordance with the Vehicle Equipment Regulation (A/R 122/2009) and section 3 of that regulation clearly identifies that all factory installed equipment must be maintained in good working order, so the form includes assessment of all vehicle components, not just some of them. Whenever I point this out to the manager he simply dismisses it and tries to explain how repair garages work. At this point I don't see any other recourse but to submit a formal complaint through AMVIC and hope they can help me deal with it.
