Great source for outdoor equipment, hugely recommend especially for Fjallraven and Lowa boots

I walked into this shop as a beginner looking to purchase x country ski gear. My experience here was in my opinion phenomenal. I found the staff professional, knowledgeable and supportive to each other. My expectations were met above and beyond

The staff is knowledgeable about the products, they set you up with the level/skill set of equipment you require (no pushy upselling)! Great place!

I had an issue with an order placed via Track' n Trail website. I called the store, spoke with Jess and discussed the situation. I will return the product and they will try and find the one I was looking for. I owned a business for 26 years and the kind of customer service that Track' N Trail offers exceeded my expectations, with a quick resolution of the problem. To the owner/ers, Jess and the manager that was on duty today are highly efficient and true professionals. Thank you. Keep the bar high!
***DECEMBER 22 2021*** Following up on the issue, Jess and Brendan phoned me two weeks ago to inform me that they found the product I was looking for and that they had it in store. I just received the Petzl dual connect adjust yesterday and am impressed with Track 'n Trail. Keep in my that it was my first time dealing with the store, for a one product order at under $100. Very informative and professional staff. Helped me size XC skis, boots, and poles and gave me advice on how to get started. I've spent a lot of time here over the past couple of weeks talking with the employees, getting up to speed on the different layer combinations of clothing and their intended application. I've been spending a lot of time researching and comparing items between different stores and find track and trails items to be better quality at a lower price. There's lots to learn about all the different styles and features of equipment and everything the employees here have told me is accurate with the research I do at home. They have a nice selection of gear, from skis, clothing, climbing gear, snow shoes, hiking boots, winter runners, backpacks, etc.

I enjoy spending time in this store.

They had the X-Country ski gear that I wanted. The staff offered helpful advice, and the service was first rate.

This was the only store in Edmonton I was able to buy a cross country ski set. I signed up their email newsletter and I was informed few days after about the new arrival date. The staff is very helpful as well.

Have purchased skis here in the past. Broke my back and needed to get some walking sticks.to rehab my back. Went in with the thought of getting the most expensive sticks. The helpful staff showed me the options and i purchased the lower cost sticks. Lower price does not mean cheaper. German made product. Qaulity. Good parking in front of door. They also took time to explain the sticks and how to measure the sticks. Also had a chance to talk to robert. We crossed our paths 30 years ago. Shop here. Support local.to get some walking

Amazing service and they make sure you get the right product. And the great service doesn’t just end when you leave the store. I emailed to ask for a receipt to do a warranty claim on boots I bought from them last summer. They contacted the manufacturer and had approved my warranty claim right away. Great knowledgeable staff too. Glad I chose to shop with them instead of buying hiking gear online.

Needed a decent boot for carrying weight on rugged terrain. They helped me out. Very knowledgeable staff and ended up going up with a pair on Han Wags. I wore them daily outdoors for about 2 months straight and found that the sole started to come off a bit. 100% not the stores fault but they sorted it out and got them repaired at a Han Wag repair center pretty quick.have worn the same pair for about the last year on various outdoor activities and never had a problem. I wont buy boots anywhere else.this location or St Albert.

Fantastic store with top notch equipment and customer service. I purchased several items from here to complete the WCT and all equip performed well. My go to store for my outdoor needs.

People here are great, friendly, and super helpful. Glad to have shopped here for the first time.

Went in for a pair of trail running/scrambling shoes. Staff helping me was very knowledgeable. Explained the merit of each shoe I tried and made reasonable recommendations.

I started feeling bad for asking her to pull my size for all the Salomon models. She assured me that it's all good and she'd pull as many shoes as I need.

I can also say that this store is well stocked, moreso than MEC these days. And I'm surprised they have my size for every shoe I wanted to try.

Bonus points for being very pandemic conscious by limiting the number of customers in the store, and having masks and sanitizer available.

Purchasing local is great but it's hard to embrace when the store has their prices as high as Track n Trail does. Plenty of other options in the city to get gear at a lower cost.

Edit to business's response: $15 per package of Alpine Aire dehydrated food is not MSRP. It's price gouging when other retailers are low or out of stock.

Track 'N Trail is an amazing store! I've stopped by in person a number of times and have also spoken to sales associates over the phone on a couple occasions and the staff has always been so incredibly helpful every time. They offer great gear recommendations and really know their products.

Still Edmonton's great little outdoor shop. Friendly staff and a decent selection of products. Be prepared for a small wait as there are only around 5 customers allowed in the store at any given time right now.

For their prices I expected a clean and trendy looking storefront with a trained and knowledgeable staff. Only one staff member looked like they ever walked off pavement.

Great local shop. I try to purchase as much as I can from TNT when possible but the only appeal to short little guys. Nothing for the vertically blessed. But I did at least get my Hanwags there.

Awesome customer service! I showed up on a busy afternoon with a broken binding and they replaced it free of charge in 15 mins. Highly recommend them!

Great lil store, never knew this existed, has everything you could want if your.into outdoor activities in the mountains. All top notch kit, Wish I would have known about this year's before instead of.goinf to MEC, which sadly the quality of the gear they carry these days just doesn't seem to last like.it.use to.

Purchased cross country skis, binding and boots. Great service as soon as we entered the store. Fair prices and a discount for purchasing a package. A great place to shop for outdoor gear.

Great customer service, but the climbing shoes selection was fairly small and they only had the previous issue of shoe I was looking for.

Edit: The main reason I have not purchased through Track 'N Trail at this point is their lack of a return policy for items that often require some form of period when making the decision. Sometimes it's nice to know that if once I get the item home and use it once or twice I don't like it I can still take it back and make a more informed decision. If I'm concerned that I may not like the item once I'm slightly more familiar with it I will shop at a place that will allow me the time and experience I need to get exactly what I need.

Great customer service! I needed to repair my jacket and they explained the process of sending it in to the company and how the warranty worked. They also suggested the alternative of using some kit repair tape they have (it was a minor tear in the waterproofing). When I explained the zipper was also broken they suggested Royal Tailor around the corner. Super helpful! I will be back there soon.

They have a wide variety of high quality hiking and goods for a fair price. The people who work there were super helpful with helping me find what i needed. They are one of the only stores in Edmonton to carry Hanwags, Lowas, and a couple other high tier boots.

Went in just before Christmas to purchase a set of cross country skis for my wife. The woman who helped us was knowledgable and walked us through the entry level ski selection. We selected skis, boots, and poles in about 30 minutes. We opted to have the binding mounted and to get a hot wax. The skis were available for pickup next day.

On our first day out my wife had trouble with the boots. The zipper ran right up the middle of the boot and would continue to come undone. That week she took the boots back to the store and they were happy to exchange the boots even though we had used them. My wife upgraded to a boot with a zipper which runs up the side and has a strap. They function much better and she has no complaints!

Will be back for more accessories in the future!

Aside from that they happened to have a good selection of sizes and colors of the jackets I was looking for.
