Trail Appliances

Trail Appliances did the appliances in our Airdrie townhome, just by how badly they were installed, you could tel how little they cared. They left all the packaging inside the appliances, didn’t clean anything, left the stove un-level, just a mess. But we just did it ourselves, because why bother, now we get to two weeks ago. I am making dinner and our Whirlpool stove, out of nowhere starts making a loud electrical noise, this noise as it turns out is the element in the stove exploding. We quickly turn off the stove, but the element is toast. Trail is contacted, told about the issue and sends out a repair tech promptly. Repair tech shows up, super nice man, however Trail failed to order, or even tell the technician that a new stove element was needed. Again not the technician’s fault, however he tells me he needs to order the part. Yesterday my husband gets a voicemail from trail saying the part will be there in 3 to 5 days, once again, great! Now my husband gets a call from trail today saying the first available date is February 2!? He asks why almost a month away, to which she responds we can put you on a cancellation list. I don’t want to be on a cancellation list, I want my stove fixed. Apparently warranty work, and fixing a damaged appliance they installed is not a priority at Trail Appliances. Bet you if we came in bought a new range they would have it installed the next day. But since they aren’t making any money off us, it’s to the back of the line.

Thomas Taylor at the Trail Appliances Sunridge location has been awesome to deal with. My home is at an age where my appliances are simply "aging out" and when my stove failed in the spring, I had a fantastic transaction with Trail for the replacement. Several months later, I bought 2 more appliances and had the same great experience.

My daughter went to Sunridge Trail Appliances a couple of months ago because we were on the hunt for a dishwasher
We went in and we were looked after by a salesman named James. He was so good at explaining things about the different dishwashers and what was the difference between the lower end models and the higher end models. We kind of knew what we were looking for and what we wanted in a dishwasher and James was not pushy at all, but just gave us information. He told us different options and just let us make our decision. We ended up going with a model on the higher end of the LG scale and we love it!
He tried to get us a lower price than was listed but was not able to. He then took my contact info and asked if he could call me a month later if there were lower prices on the dishwasher. He put a reminder into his calendar to call in a month, snd sure enough, he called me a month later to say the prices were actually higher than I paid
I was so surprised and thrilled that he took the time to give that great customer service, as I had already forgotten about it and would not have even remembered to check
James was fantastic and I can’t say enough about my experience with him and Trail appliance. Not to mention the contacted plumbing company they used to service and deliver the new dishwasher

Had absolutely terrible experiences with RONA and Home Depot in trying to buy a Refrigerator. Was told by a HVAC guy to try Trail Appliances instead. Lucky me, Bob was able to get me the exact same model I had been looking for.

The deal got better when Bob promised me he could get it delivered in under 24hrs subsequently, it was delivered in well under 24hrs. This after I originally purchased a fridge from Home Depot (being told they had plenty in stock) and then getting told shortly there after there would be a 2 month delay in getting it in.

In-regards to RONA, I was never able to talk to anyone in their appliance section, even after I was told by the front desk staff they would get someone to call me back.

TLDR; Go to Trail Appliances and talk to Bob. He'll help you out.

Ajay Singhal was very knowledgable and helped us to choose a new LG fridge. The fridge was delivered in 48 hours. A very pleasant experience.

We got back from BC and noticed our food wasn't as cold as it should be. We needed a new fridge ASAP.
When we arrived at Trail, Bob greeted us right away and was very knowledgeable. We explained we needed a fridge that day and were hoping for delivery as well. When we told Bob we lived in Chestermere, he explained they only deliver out there on Tues and Thurs - it was Friday. When we found the fridge we wanted, Bob left to ensure they had it in stock but also came back to let us know they would deliver it to Chestermere that day! Amazing service! We totally understand that deliveries have to be scheduled but for Trail to make this exception was amazing. We got a call before we got home that they would be delivering the fridge in about an hour. Fantastic! The delivery drivers were also amazing. Personable and took out our old fridge and brought the new one in right to our kitchen. Spectacular service! We will be there to purchase our new dishwasher when the time is right.

By far the best customer experience!
We picked up the Samsung aquaboost dishwasher and the salesperson (Ken I believe, who was very friendly and helpful) himself asked us if we found a better price somewhere else so that they can match, I searched other stores online and found a $5 difference which isn't a lot but they matched it. Got the dishwasher home and opened it to find out a dent in the inner drum because of which the lower rack needed to be forced to push back in. We called customer service the next day and they offered to replace it with no questions asked. They even offered us the free delivery and pickup of the old dishwasher which we didn't expect, but it saved us on another uhaul. I was surprised that they even had the dishwasher in stock when no other appliance store was able to guarantee the delivery in the next three months.

We worked with Karen on the selection of our appliances, and water softener unit.
She went above and beyond the call of duty even helping resolve issues with our builder. Not sure what we would have done without her.

I passed by Trail Appliances in the NE to buy a new dishwasher. I had a good idea of what I wanted and Brent Hilderman made sure to direct my attention to the models that matched what I had in mind while making some suggestions. His help made shopping for a dishwasher a positive experience.

I was looking for some very basic appliances like a larder fridge and a small upright freezer. While Trail Appliances had at one time been my "go to" place I found now the selection is limited for lower end choice, but better if you are looking for the more expensive stainless items.

Just bought a fridge. Bob greeted us and helped us right away. He was knowledgeable and helped us find the right fit for our needs. Everything was taken care of right there in the store, right up to the plumber that does the water hookup and super fast delivery. All those services were exceptional. I will definitely be coming back here again in the future.

Brent is a good friend of mine, help me set up to install a over range microwave seamlessly. The process is so simple, help me to pick a good model to fit my budget and set up the delivery/installation date through emails, highly recommend if you have any appliances needs.

Worked with Ajay to buy a new fridge and dishwasher. He was responsive, helpful, and made things right when we had errors and issues (due in part to our ill preparedness) along the way.

Heads up, I was told I could select a delivery window on my chosen day, just to get the call stating the time window and that they couldn't move it later, so I had to reschedule.

I appreciated the wonderful service at Trail. I was in to buy a refrigerator recently. I greatly appreciated that, in this pandemic time, the whole staff was wearing masks. This shows care for each other and for the community. I had followup questions that were answered promptly by Shane. Thank you to Shane and the staff at Trail.

Ajay at Trail Appliances at Calgary Sunridge location, has been fantastic. He is very personable and was very helpful in giving us accurate information and being honest about the significant delays in delivery with COVID supply chain issues. He offered alternatives if we were not wanting to wait so long for the specific product. He has been very efficient and quick with responses via email and phone, even on his days off! Well, there i was at home with Covid in the house and unable to get out to shop for a new fridge when our fridge died on us. I searched for hours on the internet and made several calls- no fridges anywhere that could be delivered within weeks to months. I called a friend who referred me to Brent, and two phone calls later - I am the proud owner of a new fridge that is being delivered tomorrow.

I spoke with Brent, told him exactly what I was after and he went to work! He called me back quickly with options and availability as well as his advice on the best fridge and ba-da-bing- ba-da-boom.its on its way.

It was a pleasure to work with Brent and I will certain be saving his contact info for the next appliances we need.

We bought a refrigerator from Bob on Friday. He was very knowledgeable and obviously had a lot of experience in the industry. When it was delivered, the delivery crew was polite and courteous, took our old fridge away and installed the new one with no issues. I will definitely return if I need any more appliances.

The sales associate that helped me (Gurjit Minhas) was very helpful. My kitchen is small so finding the right sized fridge was tricky but we were able to find something that worked. I wish I was able to coordinate with the delivery people with more advanced notice than one day before, however. I'm in a condo complex so extra time to give the complex a heads up is very helpful.

My family has boughten many appliances from Trail we were always happy with the service & care until now. We have a five month old fridge that stopped working, now she’s lost all the food & still has to make payments. Trail said not their problem. Was shopping on line for a dish washer. Started with Trail Appliances Calgary. Checked in on other stores sites. Went back to Trail. Their web site was the easiest to use. I was a little confused and went on their chat. Was conversing with Nancy. To make it easier she phoned me. Within 5 minutes my purchase was made. I live in Airdrie. The delivery and installation was set up for 3 days. Awesome. The stores in my city couldn't deliver that quickly and the cost was the same. Trail Appliances was the only one who would take my old dish washer away. I have dealt with Trail Appliances in store in the past. They have always provided knowledgeable, friendly service even after the purchase. I am also proud to know my money is well spent with a great Canadian company. I was able to buy a part for my dishwasher at Reliable Parts and with the help of YouTube replace the broken slide out arm of my dishwasher. Saved me from buying a new dishwasher or paying a repairman.

I went in to the store today after going to several other appliance stores to purchase a dishwasher and had the pleasure of dealing with Ajay. He is very personable and not pushy. Shockingly Horrible service from the parts department. (Reliable Parts). The guy would not even take his hands out of his pockets to look at the part I brought in for replacement. No service at all. He did say he could order the part in. 2 WEEKS!
I just ordered online, it will be here tomorrow.

We needed a new refrigerator and with the help of Bob the sales associate, we were able to get the perfect model for our needs. Bob asked many relevant questions to help us arrive at our decision and he nailed it. He was so knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. We are so happy with our new purchase. He was also able to have it delivered the next day which was such a convenience. The delivery service was also fantastic. The two young men that removed our old refrigerator and placed the new one in our kitchen took such great care in handling the two refrigerators and ensuring that no damage occurred to our walls, furniture, floors and the refrigerators. We were so pleased with their service. We will gladly purchase from Trail Appliances again.

Tom was who I chatted with on the phone, he was ready to show what I needed. He saved me time and any inconvenience, no spoiled food. Got the right fridge for my condo. He had it all figured out and how I could get my fridge ASAP. Many thanks Tom who knew what he was doing and to Lucas to help set up next day delivery.
Tom asked all the right questions which narrowed down my selection which was perfect. Took the guess work out of shopping.

When the appliances were delivered, one of them wasn't working properly. I contacted Ken and he immediately put me in touch with their service department, who too showed a high standard of professionalism. Garry Beal, the serviceman came and quickly resolved the issue. He even went above and beyond to make sure that all the other appliances were functioning properly and also gave a few helpful tips. What a true gentleman and very knowledgeable professional!

We purchased a Maytag Top Loading washing machine last July 2020. We are now on our FOURTH (4th) machine. All of the machines start squealing about after a month.
For the first machine, service was a NIGHTMARE. Trail only provides services on their terms. I work shift work and mornings are the best and the only time I am really home and my husband is not home until later.
I explained this to everyone and Karen our salesperson was very understanding but service refused to even give me a time frame as to when the tech would come out and they would notify me the morning of the scheduled day with a time frame of arrival. They could not even provide am or pm scheduled time.
When the service tech finally came and serviced the machine, he discovered that the plastic housing unit was being rubbed against and removed it. Again the machine started making the squealing noise even without the probable needed housing unit.
Machine number two (2) was delivered and the exact same noise. Three months later machine number three (3). We are now on machine number four!
Our laundry room is located on our main level of our bungalow. We leave the door to the laundry room open so we hear the machine and every noise it makes. Staff at Trail have stated that this problem has only occurred with us and that they sell many of these machines. Trail delivery staff set up the machine as we refuse to be accused of not doing something properly.
We have not heard of any findings of the machines that have been returned, which it would be nice see what is actually rubbing and causing this.
We have been loyal customers of Trail Appliance and we are now going to search other options. Karen our Salesperson has been wonderful as we send her recordings of the noise, the manager has been questioning us on our use of the machine but has been great about replacing the machine, and service, well they need to figure out who they have to service products and stop referring to people who also have no clue as to what is going on and start listening to the people who help pay them.the customers who purchase from Trail.

What a great experience! Danny is truly the best. He patiently showed me every single fridge option I until I found the perfect one. Delivery was seamless and guys were great and professional! Will definitely continue to see Danny for all my appliance needs.

Went there for a plastic pulley wheel they wanted $100 for it it's like a $0.10 part man behind the counter did not look like he enjoyed his job whatsoever I will never be going there again

Just wanted to send a quick note thanking our Salesman Bob Mitchell. After a morning of looking we ended up at Trail. We met our salesman Bob. He sold us a upright deep freeze on Tuesday, Feb 16. There was no pressure from Bob. He gave us some very good information on the unit compared to others. Answered all our question with no BS. We told him due to time constraints we needed a freezer in stock, not a floor model, and that could be delivered this week. Well we were surprised, he had the one we wanted in stock and could be delivered Thursday. On a side note the 2 young gentlemen that delivered and hauled away the old one were absolutely great. Had a challenges or 2 but moved the new unit into basement with little effort and took old one out. Both wore their masks which we were very appreciative of. So far so good. Unit is running and appears to be cold. In closing, Thank you Bob and Delivery guys. Please pass along to them

AMAZING customer service! Ordered a 3 piece appliance package from Home Depot 2.5 months ago. I was waiting for delivery next week and was notified by HD that they were further back ordered until March 2021. A friend recommended Trail appliances. Upon calling, they had all 3 items in stock and offered us a package discount on par with what HD offered within the hour. Paid by CC over the phone and we are headed out this weekend to collect. First of all, Ken was great. Hand down, one of the best reps I've ever been around. Very informative and helpful. We bought laundry sets and water softener and he demonstrated how important and effective the dechlorinator was and since we got our new water softener installed, it has been awesome. I would recommend it to anyone. I would also never hesitate to recommend Trail Appliance in the NE and Ken P.to anyone and everyone. I will get all my appliances from them moving forward. After my dishwasher died I was on the hunt for a new one. Bob at trail was great at helping me find one within my budget while having everything I wanted. My new dishwasher was installed within a few days and works great!

I just bought a brand new fridge for the first time! I was beyond stressed with a dead fridge and Allison Miller was amazing! She listened to everything I wanted and didn't want and got me just what I wanted and an amazing deal!
