Certainly not a wealth of options to choose from in the village but this place doesn’t take advantage of that. Coffee was good, and there is a good variety of food at an impressive quality for the size of the shop. Suitable for dining in (although limited space) or taking away. This would be my first stop for anything to eat on a return visit.
Great cafe, perfect for getting wraps to go before a hike and they're delicious. Breakfast Burritos and great coffee. Got here right when they opened at 7, was the 4th person in line, and was out the door by 7: 15!
Great burritos/wraps here. I had the sausage and bacon. Took 10 minutes to get it, though, so be careful of you have a set-time shuttle to catch. When I asked when my burrito would be ready because my shuttle was leaving in 5 minutes I got quite the brush off, but thankfully got the burrito in time and it was good.
We love this place and visited multiple times during our hiking trip! Coffee and matcha tea were made really well. Their pastries were DELICIOUS with clean ingredients (they even had multiple gluten-free/dairy free options for me). Friendly service. Long line but worth the wait!
We arrived at this café which faces the carpark at Samson Mall after a kind voucher deal getting off the Moraine Lake Bus company. After trekking through Lake Moraine trail walk this café welcomed us with a warm meal and a hot drink. The staff are friendly and the lines are long. The meal variety was wide and even featured Specialty coffees (which were simply syruped coffees). I recommend this as a good food stop before heading back to Banff!
Excellent place that accommodated my food allergies. I got a gluten free reuben sandwich with no egg, no dairy, and a non-dairy smoothie for breakfast. So glad, because there is limited food options in Lake Louise Village. While I sat and ate there, it was quite busy and many Parks Canada staff showed up, so it must be a good place if locals come here. It's quite small inside, with only a few tables and a few tables outside. Would come here again next time I'm around.
I am new to the area and decided to try out this place I heard good things about. Starting off I want to say the place is extremely clean and the barista Tanisha had a pleasing personality and answered all the questions I had. The drink came out AMAZING, best coffee I ever had hands down. Will be back again!
We ordered $65 food. The cashier said it was a big order. And after adding a tip at their discretion, they asked us to pay. (We were going to tip, even if they didn't.) It's the first time in my life that a cashier is forced to tip. The good feeling I had in Lake Louise vanished in an instant.
Wow! I was craving something fresh and ordered the Greek wrap. Really great ratios of fresh veg, creamy tzatziki, briny olives and feta with chicken that was grilled to order right in front of us. My husband and toddler split a generous "kids" portion of chicken fingers and fries and were really happy with their order. There's not a lot of seating in the shop itself, but their food is set up well for picnics and it would have been easy to pop out behind the shopping complex to eat along the river. Lots of parking and other amenities co-located with the cafe, so this is a perfect stop to incorporate into your travel day!
Nice place with fair prices. They seemed to be short in staff, and it could make some waiting lines. Food is fresh and delicious, and service is ok, but the staff is not always friendly. They have a large variety of food.
Grabbed a couple breakfast wraps here before hiking around Lake Louise, they were huge and really tasty. The Americanos were also great and the staff was super friendly very early in the morning.
We visited this location every morning of our trip and enjoyed all of our options! Monique has a great personality and the rest of the staff was very friendly. This place has better reasonably priced options than where we stayed! Well worth the drive down the mountain for great coffee, tea, and food! And the lemon poppy loaf is delicious.
Food was good but the staff were very rude. The main cook made numerous comments under his breath about my order and had to remake it as he didn't follow my dietary restriction request. He had a bad attitude and was very unpleasant.
Great place for breakfast or lunch. Decently priced coffees and well portioned delicious food items. Had their breakfast wrap 'the cure' and their smoked salmon bagel (on different days) and was thoroughly full with both. Expect slight tourist pricing, though very limited food options in the area
Great local place to pop in for substantial food at good prices. We had a cajun caesar wrap that was filling, tasty, and super fresh. We also had an Alberta beef burger that was delightfully juicy. Fries were cooked fresh and crispy. Service was fast and friendly! Definitely will be coming back.
We swinged by here for a quick breakfast. The avocado toast and veggie omelette was awesome. Chai latte is my favourite and they just did it right. There is a small area with benches right next to the river, which made my breakfast just perfect!
I was excited to try this place because I am from out of town. I don’t understand how a business employs someone with horrible customer service. The girl at the till was extremely rude. Literally has zero people skills. Also the food was nothing special. Wouldn’t come back. Create a more welcoming atmosphere.
Breakfast wrap is really good, i would definitely get this again. Tried their elk soup, not good, very bland. A bit slow getting the food out, but all the staff were very nice.
Got few hot drinks and cheese sandwich on aug 29. Best chai latte and London fog we had since We have been in banff. Cheese sandwich was really good, just bread was bit too thick for my taste.but that’s just me. My family loved there’s. Thank you and will stop next we visit from Vancouver forsure
Rude staff with inappropriate mannerisms. The female Aussie worker walked out with a smoke in her mouth, came back stinking like cigarettes and started cooking while not even washing her hands. Over priced, bland food. Save your money and go somewhere else!
This is clearly the place to go for coffee in the area, you can tell just by the line of people waiting. Really good, and their selection of wraps, sandwiches and breakfasts is quite tasty.
I can give 10 stars for their amazing food at affordable prices & quick service. Lisa's chicken salad sandwich was one of the best I ever had. We loved the Cajun chicken Caesar wrap too. Don't miss it if you are near Lake Louise.
Came all the way from Montreal. Wonderful and friendly service, love the set-up and all the posters on the walls. Very unique! Great vibe and fast service.
In general in terms of food, this area seems to be a desolate place. We went to a few places we didn't like, such Laggons right nearby. We noticed that Trailhead had an exceptionally long line up. The next day in a tried it and were very impressed.
The staff seems friendly and enthusiastic to help. We went there in the morning and wanted lunch menu items and they were able to make them for us. Their fryer wasn't on so they offered us a side of salad or to charge us a little less for an item that was supposed to come with fries.
I got the pulled pork and mac and cheese sandwich. It's called the Houston. It was finger licking good and a complete contrast to the quality of food you can expect anywhere else in this area. If you're able to eat pork, try the Houston. If not, they have other menu items that also look really good. We also tried the bliss burger and were happy with that as well.
Avocado Slime! Stay far far away from this place. “Avocado” toast is some kind of packaged green-brown slop with canned tomatoes on top. Totally inedible.
Tasty reasonably priced food, good if you are on the go. Pretty quick even though lots of customers. Winters night latte pretty good, maple canadiana ok. Needs more interior seating or waiting room, otherwise great.
As a local for many years we used to frequent Trailhead often. They've shrunk the sizes and upped the prices on the food so drastically, I can't really recommend it as good value for the quality anymore.
Stopped in for lunch after hiking Johnson Canyon trail and seeing the frozen falls. The Chai tea was "the best I've ever had in my life! " according to my love. She had the Salmon Slamwich and I had the Houston. Both were delicious. Great price, friendly service, very cool vibe. There is only seating for about 8 people at bars along the wall but don't let that keep you away. I would have happily eaten that sandwich in my car, or standing on the sidewalk (although there is a giant raven out there who is also a fan of their work I am sure so protect your grub!)
I got a coffee here. Service was kinda friendly but kinda not. Judging by the other reviews that isn't normal there. Coffee was good though and there was a nice little selection inside
Salmon burger was kind of plain, but the gobbler was delicious. Good bread encompassing a Thanksgiving dinner, would go back. Was cash only, so heads up. There's an ATM nearby, but there are fees.
Ok, here’s the thing, the food tasted really good, just found it to be VERY expensive and then on top of the high prices, the portion sizes were very small. I ordered a honey garlic wrap, I could have eaten three of them.
Don't really understand how this place got so many stars. Customers must really be starving after a long day hiking to find this to be 5 star. Food was overpriced and bland. You can go to the other sandwich shop to get comparable foods for bit less. Unless you are too cool to go anywhere but to a place titled with the word cafe in its name.
Excellent sandwiches and wraps. I was surprised by how great the food tasted given how touristy the area is. They can probably get by with mediocre food and still be very busy but they chose not to.
This place is absolutely great. The staff are all exceptionally friendly and both the food and coffee are spectacular. After I discovered this place, I went back every day during my short trip out to Lake Louise, and was never once disappointed. Do not miss out on The Houston sandwich. It is incredibly delicious. I tried multiple different espresso coffees, though, never any drip and was delighted each time too. A must stop! Only downside is that they don't open until 7am, which isn't early enough given how early one must arrive to visit Lake Louise and/or Moraine Lake these days.
Can't remember what it's called but the pepperoni wrapped in pastry and cheese was wonderful. TIP: Out of the shop to the left is a beautiful flowing river with tables to eat your food at.
A phenomenal relief in the Banff area. After a long day this little place serves fantastic coffee, a delectable selection of Teas, including a variety of hot / cold and sweet / savory items. We always travel as a very large group with a variety of dietary needs. This place meet and exceeded all our expectations. For the four days we lived in the area, we made it a point to visit this place every evening.
Our go to for breakfast wraps and mid day soup and sammys.amazing selection of edible goods and good stout coffees. The staff are great at what they do. Just like moms kitchen but much funkier and a little more crowded.if you don't mind rubbing shoulders with more Polar Fleece and Gore-tex than any one human should experience in a lifetime it is well worth it. P. S.try the pickle soup!
Great reviews but I found the sandwiches ordered underwhelming. The falafel wrap was OK but nothing special. I also saw the staff using the same implements for preparation of vegetarian and non vegetarian options. The Pulled Pork sandwich had a strange flavour, it was OK again but not great. Prices were fine for the area.
