5 star service in store - I was in the store and received some of the best service that I have ever had in a store - the lady that was there was amazing and I commented to my buddy that it was some of the best service I have ever received.
1 star service for mail order - I ordered an item from the store - I received notification that is would be delivered today. I met the mail person and was given a notice that it had to be picked up at the postal office. The postal person said that it was shipped to post office directly and not my residence
I called the Trapper Gord and the shipping person told me that they don't ship to private residences anymore and ship them directly to the post office. I told her that was not out contract - I had paid for it to be shipped to my place - I stayed home to receive the package, Her response was we can agree to disagree on this and it was for my safety. Not a good response
So long story short I had to walk to the post office and get my package. I wasted 90 minutes of my night when I had purposely stayed home that day to get my package.
So buyer beware - if you want it shipped to you house they won't do it - you are going to have to go pick it up.
Overall - in person shopping was amazing - the shipping was extremely poor and wasted my time- Not impressed
Just WOW! Always wanted to stop there during my travels. Finally stopped with my partner a couple of weeks ago. Just freakin' WOW! You might want to set a few hours aside if you decide to stop to check and see
Hunting, fishing, survival, they have it all and they know their stuff. Not the cheapest, but good quality and most important, a locally owned business.
It has a lot of inventory but what is $39 at a small shop in Edmonton area is $49 at trappers. Terrible to over charge the hard working people of the north.
Amazing store. Well worth the drive to get there. Everything you need and way more. Even my kids are asking 'when are we going back there'? Granted, they gave them free skittles and popcorn so. We will be buying all our trapping, fishing, and hunting supplies there:) staff is exceedingly friendly, helpful, and store is well organized with lots of options at different price points.
If you need anything for your outdoor adventures north of Edmonton, Trapper Gord will have it sitting on the shelf.or floor if you're looking for bear traps
No matter where you are headed outdoors stop here first. I brought my daughter in for her first real knife and the woman that helped us was AMAZING. She knew how to describe knife feel to my girl so that (finally) after an hour she had the one she loved!
The entire worlds population should visit this store. Good lourd it's fantastic! Passed it for a long time but finally stopped. What the heck I waited for I have no idea. Will be back very soon.

This store has so much stock that it is difficult to move through some of the aisles. All your hunting, trapping, homesteading and survival needs under one roof. If they don't have exactly what you're looking for, they can order it for you.
Love this place although it's a bit more expensive the quality and knowledge is there! There are so many awesome items in this store if I could I would buy the whole place for personal use lol lol! Love the beading work and also really like the owners I always love going to this store!
Would give a zero if I could. This establishment are proudly NOT adhering to the provinces Covid 19 mandates. It is people and establishment like theirs that have us in the mess we are in with 20+ people dying a day. If wearing a mask is too much for them to do for others then shopping there is too much for me.
Great hunting store! Lots of Sitka gear. Not a lot for cheaper camo. Wicked gun counter, but no Thompson Center firearms. Would recommend to any avid hunter.
Top 10 cleanest restrooms over twice across Canada and 49 States. Really well stocked and kept store. Very nice staff. The restrooms are shared, so men also take care. Good aim, for sure, and grateful thanks warranted.
Absolutely love this store! So many things to look at from clothing, fishing and rifles to crafts, books, and home decor! The staff is always friendly as well. Some things are a little on the higher price end, but considering location, it’s understandable. Definitely worth the stop if you’re in the area!
Huge selection, for everyone, Family & Friends, pets! Friendly, knowledgeable staff! A one stop shop for everything outdoors, cooking, apparel Keep up the great work! Trapper Gords is the place to shop:)
Great Place for all your trapping products, as well as hunting and cool outdoor items. Tons of selection of items and friendly staff. Whenever I go to the city i make sure i make time to go browse the store!
Trappers gords slogan is the truth! The greatest outdoor store on earth! Also the greatest and most knowledgeable staff on earth. Especially in the trapper department! Gordy Klassen himself is always hanging around ready to help or share his plethora of information with you. Keep up the good works guys and I recommend this place to everyoneyou
One of a kind great store! The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. I definitely will make the five hour one way trip anytime. And the owners are Just kidding you guys are great! Kelly Carroll
Love the store, great selection of firearms and accessories which is the main reason I stop here. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, great place to stop on the way through debolt.
First thing you will notice at Trapper Gords is the staff! Very very friendly and willing to help! Hunter, Outdoor person or not no matter what they will have something for you. With massive selection of guns, calls, traps and an indoor archery range! Plan to spend more time than you think!
The staff are amazing, and very friendly. My family loves taking the little drive out of town to go to Trapper Gords to get what we need. Items from trapping to camping gear to gifts. The store has an amazing selection of items and is organized so nicely, so it’s never hard to find what your looking for. The kids love the popcorn station, they think it’s so cool to have a snack while looking around. Definitely recommend checking them out!
This place isn't the greatest hunting store in the world! Its doesn't even come close to the greatest hunting store in Alberta. I would say probably in the bottom 3 worst stores in the peace region.
So first off I'm an avid hunter. I hunt with a compound bow and rifle. I went to Trapper Gords to grab my whole Sitka system for early elk into late season. I spent 1300 just on clothing in the store that day. Not to mention the bits and pieces I bought from there before. Well I wasn't happy with the vest I bought. It was brand new and I had the tags and receipt I went to take it back and needless to say they tried to tell me they only do refunds within the first 14 days. There is nothing about this on any receipts and when I purchased things there multiple times I was never told this. So after driving 2 hours and talking to someone on the phone before I wasted my time and fuel all for nothing.
I have dealt with many outdoors stores before and trapper gords is buy far the worst. I even looked past there inflated prices. A dozen arrows that I shoot are $313 plus tax at trapper gords when the same arrows in Grande Prairie are $203 plus tax at multiple locations.
Save yourself the headache and especially the funds and go to one of the many great stores in town instead of to these crooks! I will boycott you and I will pass on the message to many of my friends that hunt aswell. You could have had a returning customer that spends thousand a year but now you will loose out on alot more!
Gordy is full of himself overthere his head couldn't get anymore inflated. Try and get most of your stuff in G. P you won't be able to get all of it in the city such as traps but it beats getting everything over there at a inflated price while having to endure listening to a inflated head while shopping. This coming from 5th generation Trapper.
Terrible prices. If you want to call yourself the best include having the best prices. 2 propane bottles at $25 where at Costco I can get 4 for $18. And how about putting old stock on sale? Old stock should not be sold at full price. Highly not recommended.
