Zero stars.after you pay they inform you that the pool and gym are out of order and then you realize the ice and vending machines are also out of order when you get up to your room the TV is out of order and when you get I to a bed you instantly regret not going to the super 8 or the delta the most out of order is Mel at the front she needs an attitude check ill never stay at a Travelodge again and we road trip very often as a family of six.and when you check out they call back claiming you didn't pay even though you have receipts.so Mel I'm still waiting for your proof.or the police. Mel deserves to be fired

Photos are misleading. All the rooms are old at this location. After reading other reviews, it looks like the pool is never open. I had to ask the front desk for everything on our last night there. She gave me a bit of attitude about it, untill I mentioned that house keeping had not been to our room for the entire duration of our 3 night stay. All she could do at that point was apologise as it was already our last evening there.

Pillows are all old and lumpy
Bed had a highly noticeable dip and lots of springs out of place.
No lotion provided

Plenty of other options in the area.

Places doesn’t have tv that’s work and the staff doesn’t do anything about it. And place smells quiet bad. I would not recommend

Do not believe the web site for this hotel, it lies the lobby is dirty and run down, the halls smell of cigarette smoke and Marijuana. The room I was given was dirty, the bathroom door didn't lock or close. The walls are as Thin as paper and I could hear every word that they were saying and even hear what there ladies of the Night were saying on the phone as they were on the speaker, Do Not Stay Here, It's A Ghetto Hotel!

Yikes. I felt like I was in the shining or bates motel, but I would rather stay at one of those hotels. Paper thin walls, questionable clientele, outdated.

Absolutely disappointed in the service here. What a joke. I called on Friday afternoon to book for Saturday evening; my plan was to book 3 rooms for 6 adults… I called and sat on the phone for 20 minutes… as a previous worker for a hotel I understood however after my 24 mins of waiting the phone was picked up and then I hanged up. The receptionist completely hung up the phone on me. I never got a call back with an im sorry that was an accident or nothing this hotel obviously doesn’t want business. I will be sure to inform all my friends and family, my coworkers and every client that sits in my chair (I’m a hairdresser) this is more then enough to spread the word. Absolutely appalled. This business should be SHUT DOWN!

Clean, comfortable, older hotel. Reasonable pricing. A bagged breakfast is available. Free parking. Near large grocery store. Large shopping mall a few kilometres away.

Everything was great other then the pool was closed and bagged lunches for breakfast. I could only eat the fruit as I’m diabetic and everything else is loaded with sugar.

Sketcky sketchers around the lot. Fair price, but would recommend the Whitemud Inn if possible. Thin walls and noisy. You can hear every little sound from other rooms and in the hallways.

Lastly, rough neighborhood, with sketchies in the parking lot around the parked cars, in and around the place.

Worst quality of breakfast. Property condition is average but not bad if you are looking for just night stay with cheap rate.

Was able to have choice of room preference/location in hotel. The room had fridge and microwave, lots of TV channels and comfortable bed.

Management was friendly, rooms were clean, price was low, and the beds were comfortable. Definitely worth the stay

Great price, yes it’s old but was comfortable and convenient to where I needed to be. Lots of restaurants near by.

The facility was terrible. Our first room smelled very bad and gave my husband who has asthma coughing fits. They gave us a second room, which still smelled bad. He was sick the next day.

It seemed like the hotel used to allow smoking and was never cleaned properly after being converted to non-smoking.

The staff were polite and helpful, and the rooms otherwise clean. You could tell they did the best they could.

The most budget friendly hotel you could find in Edmonton. Rooms are well kept clean and staff are very accommodating and helpful. Though the elevators are off during our stay, it was overall a pleasant experience staying in this hotel.

Management were friendly and helpful. Clean rooms. One major issue happened on our last night, a domestic dispute. Yelling and noisy from 1-2AM, then very loud rest of night. Tried to let front desk deal with it, unfortunately they offered us to move instead of dealing with the problem (three kids…no!) You won’t have us stay again as it was quite stressful. We suggest a security guard at night.

I honestly think this hotel is under rated. Its very clean, comfortable beds, no one ever bothers us. And the staff actually do room services. Ive stayed at many hotels since the pandemic including the hilton and they dnt even do room service on a regular basis. I loved it n would stay here again! Highly recommend it

Very friendly staff and surprisingly clean rooms based off of my expectations of the reviews. Don’t account for a fancy hotel stay as the price you pay for a room reflects on the quality of it! Fully functioning AC, fridge, TV (cable) and microwave. Bed was clean and comfortable (might I add the pillows were near luxury quality which was a nice surprise) ; however the age of the building and how dated the room itself and bathroom is, is very apparent and obvious! For 80$ a night you can’t go wrong…you’ll stay in a near slum for 20$ less. Overall would recommend if you’re on a budget and cherish your cleanliness but don’t mind a bit of older 90’s grit/flare

Only good thing about this place was night front desk who saved us from the trouble of having to go to different hotel. Dirty and not maintained at all. Extremely pricey for the services they give.

Clean, decent and organized rooms. Friendly and approachable staff. Nice and cozy enough for a short stay.

At this time the econolodge has turned into An isolation unit And the other half of the hotel is open to the public I found that In one of the 2 rooms I stayed in my pipes broke. There had been a bad Sewage leak and I was overwhelmed with that and had to switch rooms But on either side of this account lodge are 2 other hotels that I'm sure we'd be much better to stay in

First night I stayed. The mattress spring popped out on the side and scratched my leg! Customer service gave me another room. Place isn't updated and smelled weird. I will not go back.

Staff was very friendly, location was very good but not cleaned properly dust on bed head board.

Old hotel in need of renovation. Beds, linens and pillows are fine. Room heaters are noisy and don't have smart temperature settings

I have stayed here over the last 10 years. The front desk staff is getting worse and worse. Last two times I have asked a question and its be combative. Not impressed, I will be ending a long time DEDICATED relationship with this hotel/motel! Not worth it anymore, but that’s what you get when they get used to your business.

Apparently they no longer accept cash as legal tender. Half staff so half the cleaning. Pool, exercise room and breakfast are closed but still want the same amount for a one star hotel

When you pas $89 + tx for a room, you are expecting a certain level of comfort.

This is not the case for that particular Travelodge: the whole building (including rooms) would need to be revamped, but even worse it is full of people partying in their rooms and disturbing other guests in the middle of the night.

Last but not least, because of the COVID, there is no breakfast currently served, it is replaced by a "breakfast bag" with a drink, a muffin, a banana and a yogurt.
But price of the room is still the same as if that was the standard buffet.

Will definitely avoid this hotel next time I'll be in Edmonton.

Booked this hotel very last minute for the same evening. Got a room with 2 queens for 4 people. The exterior leaves a little something to be desired but the inside is quite nice. Our room was clean, tidy, haven't got a single complaint about it. Was pleasantly suprised by the breakfast that was provided as well. Included: toast (with all the spreads), muffins, bagels, cereal, yogurt, waffles (fav part), juices, coffee, and tea. Only downside: my fiance was not able to connect his Nintendo Switch to the TV as apparently there is a system in place to block such attempts (whether it be a gaming system or a laptop). Silly system if you ask me.

Great! Friendly staff, clean room, soft beds. Love the breakfast selection. Dated rooms could use an upgrade. Will stay again in the future.

Pros: Very inexpensive. Good location, easy access to major highways and the airport. Nearby shopping. Clean rooms. Free breakfast, including waffles. Pool and hot tub. Cons: Dated and a bit run down. Weird drop down ceiling in halls that sits very low. Only one elevator placed a ways from the lobby. Weird layout. Breakfast had no hot eggs/meats. Food was otherwise just OK, waffles were the saving grace. Pool had no showers, and provided pool towels were small, coarse, and very limited in number. If budget is the biggest concern, this is a good choice. Otherwise there are better options out there.

The rooms were very very small. The bathroom sink took forever to drain. The room was not clean. The mattress had a spring almost through.

Hotel is definitely older and more run down, but service is good and things work. They have a dedicated pet section which is nice. Things seem clean (or as clean as they can be given the age of the hotel). Would stay again. For the price it's a good deal.

I'm going to start off by saying that the staff refunded us part of the money that we were supposed to pay for the night we stayed. The breakfast was satisfactory but we had three rooms and all of them were disappointing. As soon as I walked in to my room, I felt like the air was dirty and my nose got dry over night also a couple of my pillows were hard and clumpy. The other room (that my family was staying in), was the same thing according to the people that were staying in it and one of the bars of soap in this room was already unwrapped in the washroom and the third room was the same as the first and it had a 'wet carpet' smell to it, they would've asked for a different room but since the other two rooms were just as bad, we decided to leave the hotel after the first night of our week long stay. The only good thing about this place was the price and it wasn't even worth the $10/night that we saved.

It's exactly what you'd expect from a three star hotel. It is really outdated though in terms of furniture. Rooms are clean which is a good thing. The washrooms are extremely outdated. Overall, you get what you paid for and it's not that bad.

Friendly, very clean. We had dinner at the restaurant (hamburger and fries). It was fabulous the best burger I have had.

Worked great for a comfortable, last minute, cheap, one night accommodation. However many features are small and out of date, such as bathrooms, pool area, and work out room.

I stay at this Travelodge often and have always been pleased. Good price for a decent, quiet room and the location makes it a convenient choice.

For a 2 or a 1 star hotel it was surprisingly nice! Has all the basics you need (bed, modern TV, mini fridge, okayish WiFi, safe) AND it's actually clean! Everything was clean, our sheets were freshly washed and the floor vacuumed (free of stains too). Overall very good stay and I'd recommend it.

It was gross. Stains on the bedspread, furniture was all scuffed up. The housekeeping staff was helpful and friendly, unlike the lady who checked us in.

Rooms are well kept. Needs a little facelift inside though. However, it is more affordable than others and I appreciate that.

It's a typical budget hotel. Some things have been updated but mostly is cramped and out dated. The bed was comfortable and clean. The "work out" room consists of only a cheap elliptical machine and a stair climber. I didn't eat the breakfast so I can comment on the quality of it but it was provided. It is located conveniently. Overall I'd give e it a big "meh".

Good value for the price, and free continental breakfast. Room was a bit small and could use some updating, but overall a good stay.

Comfortable, any issues dealt with promptly by a courteous and professional staff, firm bed.yep, if breakfast is a tasty treat tomorrow morning, know I would have thrown another star up.
