Not good selection for size 10/12. I found two pairs of pants total and was unable to find shirts in my size as it is organized by colour and then size. Looked through 3-4 colours before I found one shirt that I didn’t even like. Staff was very friendly even though I was in a bad mood.
In the years I have known the Owner, I have seen her dish out cups of Love and kindness to Humans and Canine's alike, I have also seen her have to put up with some of the most ruthless "consigners" and criminals to grace her floors; and she's had to deal with them in kind sensibility 111%. But I know her heart and her direction in life and it's nothing a hater could understand nor comprehend, Donna, picks strong women to hold the helm in her stead that can be graceful and discerning at the same time, times are tough and yet I've seen her and her business get Stronger in root and Tender in heart as the years go by.
She does more for the community than the Bored Housewives and City of Calgary knows nor does for their own selfish interests. ;P
Walked in looked at 3 things and walked right back out. Pricing items at or above retail that are less then stellar quality is ridiculous. If I'm going to pay those prices I'll just ho straight to Levis, Aritzia or Lululemon
There's always great finds for affordable prices! The staff are also very friendly and personable. I love shopping here, clothes are sorted by colour and divided by prints and solids. It's so easy to find your fave colours and styles!
I've been shopping at Trend for many years. The store is well organized and the turn over always gives me new options. The staff is very friendly (my favourite is a young woman named Layne). I highly recommend this store.
I have been shopping at Trends for years. And I absolute love their sections of clothing. I bought most if not all of my sport wear there; great brand names like Lululemon, Nike, Columbia, Adidas in great conditions. The customer service is excellent, always friendly and courteous. I would 100% recommend Trends to anyone. Plus they are dog friendly store.
Always has the cutest clothes and staff are always helpful. I’ve found so many pieces that I absolutely adore! These are 2 finds I’ve discovered just recently from Trend:)

Trend is my favourite consignment store in the city! There is so much selection of unique, quality brand name items, and the prices are very reasonable. Everything is organized beautifully- it doesn’t feel like a second hand store at all. It always feels like I’m walking into my favourite store. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. If you haven’t been here, you must!
I always love coming to Trend. Not only do they have great hours that match my schedule, but they are always friendly, they always have a great variety of items to peruse and try on, and best of all? They're DOG FRIENDLY! The owner sometimes brings in her two senior pups, who are so sweet, but you can also bring in your fur babies! That's how you'll get me into your store for sure. Just sayin'. Anyways, come to Trend! You won't be disappointed.
Quality pieces. However, one of the employees misgendered my friend, and even after being corrected continued to do so, which is completely unacceptable.
I’ve been here a handful of times and I haven’t left empty handed yet! I can always depend on this location to have good quality, no rips or holes in the clothes, polite staff, and cute decor. The change rooms are a good size and I love how it’s on a different level than where you go shopping! My favourite thing about this place is actually how great the location is. It’s surrounded by other foodie places and shops, and it’s a five minute walk from the train station.
This shop is a nice spot to get fashionable items with gorgeous staff that are more than happy to answer questions and sell you up some great clothing. As a consignment aficionado I go here visit and buy some masks. Trend Fashion has found me. Stop by say hi.
This place is the best. They have a good selection of clothes, the staff are ridiculously nice, and they are really dog friendly. I bring my dog in just to say hello sometimes.
I have dropped off $100s worth of quality items and never received anything for them. Plenty of Aritzia and Lululemon items that never seemed to bring cash to my account. I have heard reports that staff pick through the items and then keep what "doesn't meet their requirements" in order not to pay into your account. I have no evidence or this but what I do have proof of is homemade-DIY items being sold here as though they were brand name, with zippers falling off and seams coming undone. There is no reasonable explanation for why aritzia and lulu clothing can't make it to the shelves but these poor quality homemade items can. I have also seen numerous counterfeit clothing, shoes and bags, by well known designers such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Burberry and Prada that had obvious signs of being fake. When asked, the staff explained they are responsible to check the items for authentication. The tags or boxes and printing errors, incorrect thread colour used in the seams and other obvious clues indicating the items were fake. The store does rotate through selection quickly, has a large amount of stock for such a small space and you can often find a number of things you'll want to take home.
My advice, don't by high end items here, look for other consignment boutiques with authenticity guarantees like Vespucci. Most importantly though, don't consign here unless you have a good connection with the staff or have evidence they sort your items properly. Happy thrifting!
The store was pretty nice, nothing is group in sized so you have look through things.
The staff there are amazing but the owner is over bearing and rude. She yelled at 3 of her workers infront of customers, and then kept going back to those girls later through out my shift to keep giving them trouble.
Every person who checked out she yelled about how her consignment store is the best in the city and that she only takes n e w and t r e n d y clothes. I didn't reallt want to buy my items after I saw how she treats her staff but she took it to the front and rang me in.
*Me and my 2 daughters have been consigning at Trend for 5+ years. A lot of our stuffs get sold very quickly. We always try to drop off only nice quality mid to high end clothing so we know it will get sold. We are okay with the stuffs that don't sell in 30 days will get donated to help the unfortunates. This will help the store for turnaround re-stock the floor with the new arrivals everyday. *All staffs are very friendly and helpful at all times. *The owner is amazing and just know how to run her business, very good business planning, she is truly an intelligent & smart lady. She has her own style, we enjoy talking to her and her staffs, all down to earth people. *Trend is the best consignment store in Calgary!
I’ve always had a good experience with this place.
I have an online shop where I try to sell things myself, and the things I can’t sell I take to trends and I’ve made some good money back, and not having to deal with people is definitely worth it IMO.
Favourite consignment store in Calgary! Fair pricing and great selection of consigned clothing/shoes/accessories. Have consigned and shopped at Trends for many years now.
I normally don’t do this, but I was so appalled by the service here. I dropped off two bags of clothes full of brand-name items that were in great condition and all freshly washed. They listed four of the items out of I would say about 20 items, worth a total of upwards of $500. They claimed that the items were dirty and then they wouldn’t sell unwashed clothing, and that the other clothes or not up to the selling standards. They donated the rest of the clothes some of which were $150 jacket and $100 dress. This is a complete lack of respect for customers and I definitely do not recommend the store for anyone who wants to consign their clothes.
Complete frauds. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Staff is snappy & unexplanitory. They also will not provide their managers name. I’ve done a lot of consignment in the past this store is garbage. You are better off just donating your items yourself as they send brand new tagged items off anyway.
I’m very disappointed with this store. I decided to bring some stuff there like shoes, boots and Clothes on very good condition. Even the staff where complementing about it when I dropped off the items. After a week when I checked the account I noticed that nothing was took by the store, very surprised I phone them and they confirmed that nothing has been taken and that the items were “DONATED”. According to their notes on the selection of items “plain t shirts, no brand clothes, or very used” nothing on that describes the items I brought there. I should have read these reviews before I decided to consign with them. Even though, I bought once from there I won’t come back again because I find this process unclear and I can not trust and support their business.
I was in Trend about a week ago with my wife, and I was helped by 2 amazing ladies named Abby and Leslie. They had beautiful smiles and did everything they could to ensure my wife and I had a wonderful experience. That all changed when we came back into the store this week hoping to receive the same quality service. We were displeased by the extremely overbearing owner who came and greeted us out of nowhere. I felt as if she kept watching over us and it made me uncomfortable. Also the way she spoke to us and her staff was very intrusive. If I could give this store a 0/5 stars I would. I have never seen such unprofessional behaviour come from an adult before in my life.
Final point is do not shop at this store. I feel bad for your staff they need to get out of there.
I'm so sad to see the negative reviews on the internet. Trend is a special place for a lot of people, including me. It was one of the first consignment shops in Calgary, and is still serving customers from when it opened in 1997. The owner has seen people grow up, go to school, get married, have kids, start careers. I love shopping and consigning at Trend. Also, pretty well everything in my closet was bought with credit from my consigned clothes. All this being said, I'm biased, but I encourage you to check it out for yourself.
VERY RUDE owner. All other staff was great but owner came out of nowhere while we were about to buy our items calling me and my mother disrespectful and that we don't know how to respectfully shop in her store. I try to understand what she meant or did as I didn't feel like I did anything wrong but she kept going on in front of other people calling me disrespectful at least 4-5 times. When I try to talk she would just cut me off. I didn't buy anything and will never go back again. Cashier (who had been helping us shopping) said she had no problem with us so I really don't understand what I did and no matter what you should NEVER speak to anyone the way she spoke to me let alone to your customers. I will never shop here again.
The staff was awseome the selection of clothes to but the owner! She was disrespectful, crazy lady shouldn't be around.we were just about to give payment for all the stuff we chose and she came out of no where shouting at us. It was humiliating. Shouldn't work in customer service if this is how you talk to your own customer.
Used to be good, but has turned into somewhat of a scam for consignors. Somehow brand new items are sent to charity (yeah, right) and you can’t help feel something scam worthy is going on. Listen to the reviews - and try next door for a business that feels more above board. I’m not returning.
Lots of selections with reasonable price. I got tops in very good conditions at the end of season for half price so it's even cheaper. I like the store layout where pieces are arranged by colors then types so it's very easy to shop. Will come back here again!
I was here while visiting. My lady looked through the selection of clothes and I sat and colored in some coloring books. Staff was friendly and I enjoyed conversation with them. No mens apparel. But my lady did find some good deals here.
Buying here is great I’ve bought a lot of great stuff however consigning here is a nightmare. I had about 500$ worth of quality clothing I bought most of which were donated or not sold. I was not made aware of their store policy when clothes are dropped off. I made some money off my stuff but I had HUNDREDS of dollars worth of clothing. I’m quite upset at the waste of time and money. In short, good place to but terrible place to consign.
ALL of my consigned items were donated by them. Some how they were not able to sell, not even a singel item from a big bag of great condition, some of them brand new with tag brand named clothing.
The owner and employees of TREND were so helpful and fun! Making money back on your gently worn clothing is a fantastic idea! What a great place to shop and bring clothing you'd like to recycle. Three thumbs up!
