Thanks for your response and your commitment to high-level service, which I definitely acknowledge and appreciate. I also understand the part that TNM does rate negotiations after mortgage is approved, which would get the client the best rate.

I have a simple question: Should the onus lie on me, the client, to check with different lenders and find a better rate than TNM's rate (especially when TNM advertises it offers the lowest rate) and then TNM simply utilizes the competitor's offer as part of this negotiation process. In my humble opinion, I don't agree with it. The reason being, I would assume TNM already has access to the best rate from different lenders, not needing me to additional leg work.

I believe from a service perspective they are great. But from a rate perspective, not too impressed. Not once but twice when working with TNM, I found other lenders giving rates less than them. In fact, a couple of months back, the difference was as much as 0.55% which makes a big difference in a high interest rate environment. Its only when I brought it to my TNM mortgage agent's attention was he able to match it. I believe if TNM says that they provide the best rates, then they must be able to solidly back it up.

Super unimpressed with the level of service here. I’ve dealt with lenders for over 15 years, and have never had this poor of service from anyone. The lady that called seemed uninterested in helping, and seemed like she couldn’t be bothered to put her time into this. I’d recommend sticking with a traditional lender.

I’m also surprised to see the responses from True North with some of the poor reviews. I’m shocked that they are responding with personal details of the issues on question while trying to defend themselves. Is that not private info?

Betty Saskiw was amazing! This year was really a really challenging time to renew a mortgage. Betty was more helpful than my own bank who has worked with me for years. She always responded to my emails promptly and answered all of my questions. I felt like she was always there for me. I was really happy with the rate Betty got me on my mortgage as well. As a first time home buyer, the process was pretty smooth and the assigned agent Verone Rodriques made it even easier. He explained us each step and was always available to answer any questions. I was already shopping around with major banks and other agents, so I am able to tell the difference in the service provided by True North.
And ofcourse, it mostly comes down to the offered rate which in our case did beat all major banks and any other mortgage company by huge margins. We went with the in house lender Think Financials. We are yet to close, but I have no doubts that it would go smooth with Verone on our side.

It all started when our broker Jaqulynne Hafner answered my call inquiring about how and where do I start in buying a house. She was very polite, professional, understanding, and patient. She always answers my emails and never kept me waiting so I really enjoyed doing business with her. First time home buyers beware.

Found the service really unprofessional, the broker we talked to didn't look at any of our documents and then told us we were only approved for a very low number.we went to another mortgage broker and are pre approved for twice that. The TN broker was completely unwilling to talk about other options and left us feeling like we would never be able to buy a home. This is absolutely not the place to go if you need anything mortgage related.

Hiren helped me through the entire mortgage renewal process and was so good at answering all my questions. I really appreciate the good communication and attentiveness I received!

The brokers at True North are very quick to respond to initial inquiries, however I experienced significant (3 weeks) delay in responding to my emails after the initial consultation and application was completed.

There was also a change in brokers midway through my process and I found the second broker, Hiren Mamnani, to be impersonal and impatient. I felt as thought any questions were not welcome and felt his approach was very rude at times.

In addition, the FCT staff were nearly completely unresponsive and seemingly very disorganized. They sent an initial email indicating document they would need and within the email stated I would be contacted by Shelley. I submitted the documents immediately and did not receive any type of confirmation email. Shelley never called at anytime! Several weeks later I recieved a call from a completely different person who had no knowledge of the documents I submitted, so I had to resend everything twice. Our signing appointment was supposed to be virtual, however FCT did not get the documents delivered on time so I was forced last minute to have a face to face meeting during COVID restriction, AND made to sign a COVID waiver form stating I refused a virtual meeting.

It was a breeze working with Betty! My clients were based in Calgary purchasing a property here in Surrey B. C and Betty delivered above and beyond!

Hiren Mamnani assisted me and my husband with securing a really cheap mortgage rate for our first home and treated us like friends even though we had never met the gentleman and only dealt with him over the phone. We bombarded Hiren with so many questions and kept changing our minds on him for switching from a fixed plan to a variable back to fixed, but he was adamant at getting us the best price available. Inspite having a pre-approval from Scotiabank for a mortgage that was already discounted we still went through TrueNorth as the price Hiren negotiated with TD was so lucrative that we just couldn't refuse it. Betty has been amazing at finding us the best deals for mortgages. We have used them twice in the past couple years and continue to be impressed with what they can get for us.

My husband and I spoke to two different mortgage companies today. I am currently on maternity leave with our new baby. After applying for a pre-approval with TrueNorth an associate called us back and said that we are pre approved for a mortgage "only as long as my job is guaranteed. " He did not ask me if I was planning to return to work full time, but made it seem like that was our only option, and it was very stressful! We called another place and they explored all of our options including one based entirely on my husband's income alone. That got us a pre-approval for a mortgage around 32% less than if I was working full time, and still entirely within our budget for the type of house we were looking at! I did not appreciate the way TrueNorth made me feel stressed out, discouraged and disrespected in my choice to work part time while raising my daughter, and did not explore that option with us.

Renewing a mortgage with a different lender is hectic, but Betty Saskiw at True North Mortgage made it so simple and yet with the best rate too.   From the start, she gave me the best rate and reassured me that I get the best rate and there's absolutely no transferring fee on my end.   It was all true.   She gave me the best rate back in September, but as the prime rate dropped twice before my renewal date, she reduced my rate accordingly.   I just needed to provide all the documents that she needed and she took care of the rest.   My transaction was smooth and uneventful to the end.   I highly recommend Betty to be your mortgage broker.   You will not be disappointed.   I will definitely recommend you to everyone that I know.

We have very good experience working with True North. We worked with Hiren and he is professional, Knowledgeable and responsive. He helped us getting competitive rate and all information about mortgage. Overall very impressive customer service.

Vamshi made our mortgage process seamless. We had initially went with a big bank lender but they made the process incredibly painfull and kept promissing approval once certain documents were obtained and then required more and more documents. I removed conditions on the purchase and the big bank lender kept delaying the approval so the whole process took over two months. Once I contacted true north mortgages, Vamshi expedited this process which had a tight deadline and got everything approved within two weeks. He was always calling me when he needed something versus the big bank lenders took 4 days or more to respond. Needless to say if you want someone who goes above and beyond expectations, go see vamshi at true north mortgage.
