I went to get a mortgage at the Calgary Place True North. The agent there Landon Marx did a fantastic job on assisting with the process all the way. He is very fast a replying to my emails and would recommend him for mortgage hunting.

Our mortgage is expiring in September 2021 but I did my due diligence one year earlier to make sure we are getting the best rate possible. I searched on-line and found True North and upon reading the reviews (all of them are truly exceptional) I personally chose Landon Marx. Since our mortgage was locked, he advised me to reach out to him 3 months before expiration which I actually did. Where to begin? First off, the five star rating is actually an understatement - if I could choose 10 or more I would. I started my new home journey in an incredibly sour manner with a different mortgage broker and the situation was incredibly stressful, drawn out and unnecessarily negative. I found True North Mortgage online and read through some of the reviews and decided to give them a call. My broker Arshdeep was AMAZING! I spoke to her at the end of the day on a Thursday, she sent me the application link immediately after. I had everything sent in to her late that evening and she responded back to me the next morning letting me know she was reviewing everything and would be in contact by 11…. Which she was - on the dot. She had not only secured a lower rate for me but with better options and she had the commitment sent to me within the following 2 hours after that. She had turned my entire experience around in a matter of 14 hours. I cannot rave about Arshdeep and True North Mortgage enough. Don’t waste any of your precious time seeking out a broker elsewhere, the service and support you receive here is unparalleled and I only wish I had used them sooner…thank you so much for blowing me away and turning this into one of the best experiences I’ve had!

We did not have a good first experience when we first bought a house and for the second home I found true North mortgage and decided to give it a try. Laura asked me to write a review, so here ya go. Great rates, okay communication and I like the ability to sign the mortgage throw DocSign on my phone. It was confusing when the law office started emailing me about my mortgage and I wasn't given any notice to whom she passed my information on to. Also they eventually send a Notary to my house to get me to sign documents I already signed and to bring identification I already provided. It would be nice if they asked for everything all at once and notify me of all the different parties involved in order to get a mortgage. It was a bit confusing when lawyers and notary people start bothering you. They should cut out the notary part and the law office should do that over the internet somehow. Too many cooks in the kitchen and that made me nervous. I felt like everyone was trying to get a cup of blood. I would also appreciate if the True North Broker would go over the mortgage document with me, so a laymen can understand. If I didn't ask for an interpretation, she wouldn't have explained the mortgage to me. If you aren't use to reading mortgage document, it can be confusing. It would help, if they understood that most people don't read mortgage document for a living. I don't recommend True North. I was also told they won't hold a mortgage rate for you.
