I just had the most traumatic experience of being accused for stealing because “I look young”. I was looking around at the skincare aisle and I was googling reviews on specific skincare brands so I stood there for a while and noticed the security guard watching me from afar but didn’t pay much attention to it. When I went to the other aisles to pick up groceries, I noticed he was still following me and watching me so I asked him if there was a problem as I found it very uncomfortable. He proceeded to say he was just walking around and left the general area that I was in. I went to the self checkout to pay and he was behind me and he watched me pay for everything, yet he still decided to chase me out into the parking lot to accuse me of stealing a face lotion. I showed him the receipt and he turned to walk away without an apology of any sort. I asked to speak to a manager because that attitude is not ok. Even though he watched me pay for my items, he tried to justify his actions by saying I was “blocking the screen so he couldn’t see”. When I spoke to the assistant manager, he kept apologizing on the security guards behalf and they kept commenting on my age saying “there’s been a lot of young people stealing these days”. They thought I was younger than my actual age 25, however, that doesn’t make it ok for the security guard to treat someone like that. All throughout the whole interaction, the security guard kept trying to justify his actions and was not apologetic at all even though he was clearly in the wrong and I did not steal. He even went as far to say that his colleagues thought I was suspicious but had no evidence to back it up. The security guard showed no remorse even after he was clearly wrong about me stealing. This whole experience shows that TnT and their employees will judge you based on how you look.
Nice clean and organized. Great selection of foods. I found the Shitake mushrooms and Shiritake noodles here that I was looking for. Picked up some Nato as well.
Every time I see the cashier in the automatic payment area, it seems like I owe her millions. Never smile or make eye contact, just click on the screen of your automatic payment machine when you come up, you want to help the customer enter the corresponding code, but a little politeness is okay! Don't say a word.
Its an Asian grocery store, which the Best time to go is in the morning to noon.if you go and shop for groceries after work it's a little difficult to find items as they stop restocking around noon, unless the item is completely out. Lots of great items, but do shop around for other items like corn, or baking items at nearby stores like Walmart or Safeway as its cheaper there overall.
If you're looking for great snacks, this is the place to go. Also their cakes are very well made and quite tasty as well.
TLDR; TNT is a very reliable source for groceries as long as you try to come in early. Overpriced at some items, so be ready to shop at other places to get it cheaper.
Large selection of vegetables, fruits, meat, fish. Semi-finished products of Chinese cuisine. The prices are sooo not small, but I come for bacon (I take it for salting) and daikon, I also take a soup set of red fish (the fish soup is excellent). Tried sushi, didn't like it. With all the variety of seafood, there is no herring.
Perhaps this store's management should spend some more time to teach their staffs about basic hygiene towards customers. I was in the fish dept and saw this young employee holding a dirty hose and cleaning the floor. After he made eye contact, he came to serve me and was about to hold the fish with those same gloves that he had been wearing while cleaning the floor. I had to call him out on this and ask if he would be handing the fish with those same dirty gloves. Took him a while to realize what I was talking about and he then went inside to change the gloves. But he was unapologetic about it, and to him it appeared to be a "normal" thing.
I love this store with all the asian Varieties i'm always finding something i've never had before and end up liking a lot Recommend shopping here if you want to have a culinary experience
I been there at hot food section and asked associate do you have fish she said yes. I ordered 3 item meal fish chicken and other chicken item.when I ate at my break time I found tofu chunks instead of fish and fish was only very small peice. One of the chicken was too high on msg I felt the taste and after eating I was praying not to get food poisoning. I ordered fish not a tofu.
Made a cake order on 3/27 before the bakery closed and encountered a really rude staff member who made remarks about me because I did not speak mandarin to her. It was uncalled for and rude, I can understand what is being said about me.
OMG.fabulous I just love this store. I got exactly what I was looking for at a very inexpensive price plus more. I even got myself some slippers that are perfect for my small feet for under $5. Wow!
