Placed was alright, the menu were not clean and handwritten with new prices, not super professional, the food was alright too, I got the quesadillas and nothing wow, other people got the tortilla soup and they said it was good, they need to work on a few things to make it.

Amazing place, very unsuspecting from the outside but the food is fantastic. The burrito was the size of my head but it wasn't heavy; I left satisfied but not overly full

We came at 4pm before it got busy. The portions are very filling and worth the money. Their free house made salsa and chips are soooooo good!

TERRIBLE SERVICE, if you want to go eat, you may go very early and perhaps they will serve you your food before closing, we came to celebrate Father's Day, we arrived at 6 in the afternoon, we had to raise our hands all the time to be served, even when I asked if he could take my order and he told me NO, that I had to wait, and well after 15 minutes he came back to take it, there were 10 minutes left until the restaurant closed and we still had not been served, more than 1 An hour and a half waiting for a chile poblano and a meat molcajete, when I asked for my bill for the drinks we had while we waited, I still heard that he told the cook, "don't prepare it anymore, " meaning they hadn't even started preparing it, they took care of it to 4 tables that arrived after us and even paid their bill and left, can you imagine that? When we had been waiting for an hour, we asked us about the waiting time and they said 8 minutes and well, another half hour passed, NEVER BUT I WOULD NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE, DISGUSTING AND TERRIBLE SERVICE, I have never written a bad review of ANY place, but honestly I am disappointed here, they weren't even good at asking for an apology, DON'T COME HERE

We (my wife and I) have been going here for a while now. We really enjoy the food and the break away from life a bit. The service is always good and the food too. I definitely recommend this family restaurant, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

We went for lunch and had an awful experience. The food was okay but the meat was so dry it was hard to eat. The reason why I’ll never go back was the waitress. She was so rude to us, we had two small children with us and it’s not easy eating out with kids. I have never not tipped a waitress but I couldn’t give the waitress a tip because of how she treated us. When I asked her for a food to go she left containers at our table and packed up the other left overs at the other tables. It was embarrassing packing up your own leftovers while the other tables had it done for them. It was so rude they just lost a customer. I left the restaurant so upset I was shaking.

5 stars for being the cleanest restaurant I've ever been to. Well put, well decorated, and the food is fantastic. Definitely a new favorite.

A must try for authentic Mexican food in Calgary. Mexican staff, authentic food and music made the experience great. The amount of food for the price is good and the flavours are great and the server's are awesome. Will definitely be going again and taking more friends.

We have eaten slot of Mexican food all over North America, and Tu Tierra ranks in the top 5.
When you start with a complementary order of tortillas and salsa (even before your water gets to the table) you just know that this is the beginning of a wonderful relationship.

I ordered the beef chimichanga, it was the size of a small football. They actually used shredded beef not just ground beef. This was a very generous portion

My wife got the steak fajita and couldn't finish it all.

We ordered a side of guacamole simply the best guac.we've ever had.

This was the first place ever where you order horchata by the pitcher.mmm, maybe just a tad too sweet, but my soul, was it good

Finish the evening with fried ice cream.absolutely stellar.

We are definitely going back to try other dishes.

Wonderful restaurant. You get some complimentary chips and salsa to start. The complimentary salsa and the stuffed jalapeños that i ordered actually had a heat to it and was surprisingly spicy. I enjoy spicy food and can handle my spice so I was happy when the food was spicy.

I got the tinga de res (shredded beef) tacos, had a lot of beef and they also served extra tortillas; so I had more than 2 tacos. It was delicious.

I'd recommend trying this place with an appetite. Also they had a taste guava margarita.

Much like the reviewer before me, I give 2 stars only because of the service (service was good). I ordered tacos and they were dry wads of pulled meat on a tortilla. No cilantro, sour cream, pico de gallo, guac, tomatoes or anything that made them even the least bit juicy or moist or easy to swallow. Dry pulled meat wad on a tortilla with sides. Big disappointment.

Great food, and great staff. They have my favorite salsa in the city, spicy and garlicky. I usually get one of the multi-option playes because everything they make is so good.

We've haven't visited Mexico, so I can't speak to authenticity from experience, but the food here was SO MUCH better than the chain-store, tex-mex sludge that we get at most places that I don't care. The variety of flavours and the depth of flavour were amazing (and we got take-out, I bet it's even better straight out of the kitchen.) The dining area looked clean and inviting and the older gentleman who took my order over the phone and completed the transaction was very friendly and polite. If the experience stays at this level, Tu Tierra will go into our regular rotation for restaurant meals.

The staff are very courteous and friendly and the food is simply awesome, their stuffed capsicum is something to die for! Easily the best Mexican restaurant I've been to in town.

Authentic Mexican food. The trio enchiladas are my favorite! The fish tacos and chicken taquitos are also delicious!

Went to Tu Tierra with a friend and her toddler this week. The service was amazing, and they had no qualms creating a special plate for the little one.

I had a combo plate with an enchilada Verde, beef tostada and chorizo taco. Rice was a bit bland, but the serving size was generous and quite a bit of meat in every part of the dish. I would go back again.

Wonderful Mexican food! Very authentic and the BEST lime margarita I've had in a while!

We were excited to try this restaurant out on the weekend. Unfortunately when we arrived we were told that it was closed for a private event. Will have to try another time. It was disappointing as we made the drive there especially to eat there.

I'm so impressed with this place! They have a fabulous burrito. We ordered a couple of burritos, and one with no dairy. They arrived, and one had dairy. I called the restaurant, and they informed me they would send another one immediately. Within 10 minutes, we had the correct meal and it was DELICIOUS! So impressed with the food and service here, I will definitely be back!

The food was great! Only thing i really dislikes was the service.there were tables that hadn't been clear off and a worker was outside half the time.

Seems like our order was a bit rushed, a few items were missing, and unfortunately they had closed by the time we got home. What we did get was pretty good. They seem unorganized.

The food was excellent! Service was great too although we were the only patrons at 5: 00pm. I don't know why it wasn't more crowded because its an excellent restaurant. We will certainly be returning next time we have a hunger for Mexican food.
My only criticism - the music was a bit loud. Very small complaint.

I have only been once so will try again but so far, not so good. Yeah for chips and salsa at the table.a nice touch.
I ordered the verde taco and the pork was terribly dry as well the rice was hard.like cannot chew it. Our waitress came to take our order and then delivered our food and that was the last we saw of her. I was going to make a point of the rice but she never came back. It wasn't busy so that really irked me. I dunno.will try again cause I really want a good Mexican restaurant near me but first impressions weren't great.

I got the chicken chimichanga and my hubb got poblano enchiladas. I personally didn't like the pablano sauce but he loved it. Not spicey or sweet. It was really strong for me in a not so good way. While the chimichanga was good, it was not crispy. It was essentially a burrito. The rice was also very dry. So that was a little depressing, but the service was AWESOME. Kids meals were awesome. They got a lot of food for a sweet price and it all tasted great. The beans were awesome, and the chips and salsa were awesome.

Call them yesterday tried to make a reservation, the lady on the phone said no need and just come in. Went there today at 12: 05 and waited until 12: 30 they are not open and no one in the shop. Call again said phone no. Not in service

Very yummy food. Chips and salsa a little skimpy so you have to pay a little extra what the heck, get the guac!

Dishes are large tasty and nicely spiced. Tried the beef tongue, a refried rice veggie dish and liked them both a lot.

Excellent food and service and a comfortable atmosphere. Enjoyed every bit of the large portions served. Thank you.

Awesome food and service. Everything was fast / hot/ fresh and delicious. I ordered a tamarind margarita which I haven’t had since being in Mexico and it was just as fantastic. All the food we had was great. Highly recommend
