Twin Butte Country General Store

Just outside of Waterton National Park, this is an excellent place to stop by food! Smoked meats and Mexican cuisine, generous portions and reasonable prices.

General store with small items as well as local items. Great folks, great atmosphere!

Great little place and excellent food. I’m from texas and get this sort of food frequently and they did not disappoint.

Really surprised to find a great Mexican restaurant tucked away in little old Twin Butte. Friendly staff. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars for service/atmosphere is because the website says they were open til 10: 00 pm. We got there close to 8 and before we even got half way through the meal, the young waitress started mopping the floor and putting chairs on tables. I felt sorry for the couple who came in around 8: 30 and were refused service because the restaurant closed at 8? They were told there was another food vendor out back with outside picnic tables.

From the states, traveling by motorcycle through BC and AL and were headed back to the border in need of breakfast after having left Pincher Creek without any. This was quite literally the only place between Pincher Creek and something just outside Many Glacier MT or the resort at the lake to southwest.

We weren't sure what to expect, this having been the first Mexican restaurant we'd seen on our trip. Home in WA, we're used to seeing several in every town. Not only is there a gift shop with snacks, artwork, books, shirts, jewelry, and drinks but the restaurant was surprisingly big! Inside we were met with a warm and welcoming decor, intriguing menu that included Mexican, American, Canadian, and some blends. My brisket chimichanga was flavorful and packed full of delicious ingredients. My tortilla was soft on the inside, crispy on the outside. I'd order it again, if I ever found myself wandering north. Prices were on par with similar restaurants BUT I'd put effort in flavor and menu HIGHER than typical.

Fish tacos were tasteless and watery. Rice was bland and the beans tasted like the pasty refried beans from a can!

This place is amazing, the food is incredible and the atmosphere is perfect - I ALWAYS stop in when I'm in the area

The waitress started putting trash on my plate when I was still eating, the service was like they were playing through motions and treating the customers like they were just cattle. There were several signs that said please wait to be seated; me and a friend walked in and we were just standing waiting for them to seat us because of what the sign said, we finally got seated in the back near a door with an open window with chilly air blowing in. The food was good but due to the poor service I am upset.

If you want 5 stars restaurant in middle of nowhere Twin Butte is the place. We ware on vacation for 15 days that restaurant had the best food and very friendly.

Worth the drive if that's all you doing. But a must place to eat if you're in Waterton or Pincher Creek area.

The Twin Butte Country Store has a killer Tex-Mex restaurant hidden inside. The place has a great vibe and it was packed at 5pm. It is best to make a reservation.

The service was excellent and the server worked hard to find us a spot despite the restaurant being packed. The food was incredible and the margarita was refreshing; not too sweet and not too boozy. There are also a ton of hot sauces made in house that you can try and purchase.

The general store also has all the typical stuff, including some alcohol too. Some neat local items as well. Super neat spot overall!

So quaint and kitschy, I absolutely loved the atmosphere! You can also choose from a great selection of hometown hot sauces that are incredible. My family and I had the chimichangas and pulled pork and pineapple tacos and they were well worth the drive out:)

Owner greeted us at door and welcomed us. We had as starter Putin and never had them like that and was outstanding. So full couldn't even eat are main meal. Check out there homemade sauces. Outstanding place to go

We got in because of a total happenstance and found this gem of a place! The best chimichangas we have ever had. We will take this route home just to visit this restaurant again. They have a "wall of hot sauce" with various levels of heat and very interesting names from "baby burn" to "widowmaker".
