Two Jack Main Campground

Really liked this place during the middle of the week when we practically had the place to ourselves. No showers

If you can’t get a spot at the lakeside campground, this one is a great alternate. It’s also very close to the lake and has great campsites.

Good campground, a short drive from Banff, and in walking distance of public transit. Just be aware, there are no showers on site.

Small sites, lots of lodgepole pines, too close together for my taste. Well-run park with lots of amenities. Couldn't get my 19' trailer into my reserved site and attendant assigned a new one. Much appreciated.

Just a stunning location. Sites are small and reservations are a must and difficult to get.

Great campsite. Toilets kept clean daily and the layout is just really lovely. Helpful staff at the entrance too.

Good location for Banff. Spent three nights here all in different sites. Had to take car to collect fire wood from one large pile rather than it be scattered throughout the campground like others but no problem. Dropped a star due to some sites being quite uneven for van goers. To note attracts a lot of people who don’t go camping a lot which is great to see but they can be noisy and not so sure on etiquette e.g. Playing very loud music, family walks through our site to get to the bathroom instead of going around but all good.

Great place to go camping. Dog friendly. Lake is small and perfect for paddle boarding. Friendly atmosphere, no party animals. The park staff did a great job.

A lovely campsite surrounded by trees. Plenty of space between sites. Communal set of bear boxes at the front of the loop seemed new. Easy access to restrooms, potable water, and dtrash.

Where to start besides this is the worse that Canada parks has to offer. We all know this place that needs renovation but because it is always full, it never happens.this is the place! (Picnic table picture) If you want to have a quiet night, during quiet hours, it won't happen. The hand blowers in the washrooms (which really need some love) are so loud that they will wake you up everytime someone needs to dry their hands, thinking that a jetplane is taking off. Don't bring a headlamp, there are enough bright lampost that you will see your blood vessels through your eyelids all night long. I forgot to mention that the plumbing is so old that the rumbling in the pipes will feel like a train is coming your way. I give two stars because the setting is awesome, otherwise it deserves only one.

Beautiful landscape for a campsite! The canopy of pine trees, smooth sloping terrain, and, when in luck, accompanied by friendly wildlife!

Like a campground in a national park, Firewoods is free and the toilets are well equipped. You have to consider that there is no electricity here, and it is more suitable for tent campers or small campers than RV trailers. Surrounded by forest, it feels like camping in real nature, but surprisingly, there are no trails, so it was inconvenient to walk or bike around. There are mosquitoes, but not many, so if you have mosquito repellent, it's not too much of a concern

Recently discovered this day camp area. It’s a lovely location, easy access to kayak or simply sit on the shore and enjoy the scenery

I had an amazing camping experience at Two Jack Main Campground! The location is simply stunning, with breathtaking views of Two Jack Lake and the surrounding mountains. The campground facilities were well-maintained and clean, offering all the essential amenities for a comfortable stay.

I loved being so close to nature while still having easy access to Banff and its attractions. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping and the serene waters of the lake was a truly refreshing way to start the day.

The campground staff were friendly and helpful, providing useful information about the area and making sure everything ran smoothly during our stay.

Moreover, I was delighted to spot some wildlife nearby, including majestic elk and deer grazing in the meadows.

I highly recommend Two Jack Main Campground to anyone looking for a peaceful and picturesque camping experience in the Banff area. It's an excellent base for exploring the beauty of Banff National Park, and I can't wait to return!

The lake and surrounding area are absolutely beautiful. The campground is quiet but shows some signs of overuse.

Very nice campground with lots of trees that are great for privacy and setting up a hammock. Be aware that there are no showers at this campground though.

Beautiful campground. No service but that makes sense.
When fire permit is purchased, firewood is free.
Very clean spots, with fire pits (be careful very booking some spots do not allow fire).
Of course also be aware of wild life, do not leave food outside and keep your pets on leash.

Great campground in the woods with clean toilets and warm water. However the taps are leaking water even when closed. That's not too eco-friendly.

Great campsite. Usually always full, but the loops are spaced out enough that it doesn’t seem crowded.

Banff’s staff and park are top-tier. I always stay in Two Jack Main for the nature and the great pricing.

Wow such a wonderful place during the winter. It was my first time travelling here from Ontario and it gave me a nice view of the mountains. People mostly think of Lake Louise or Moraine Lake. Definitely a hidden gem that not many people know of!
