I was very impressed with the customer support staff that I encountered, but whoever was supposed to put the blankets and dollys in the truck didn't do it. If the store had not been open with staff there, then I would have been complete messed up.
5/5 stars for the staff that jumped in to help get me on my way
3/5 stars for the staff that were supposed to clean the truck (it was not terrible, but the front was caked with mud)
0/5 stars for the staff that were tasked with putting stuff in the truck (it wasn't that somethings missing, there was nothing put in there at all)

The saff was illprepared for an end of the month. On one staff member at 10am whe there was 15 ppl weighting I had a 10 am reservation and it took an hour for me to weight in line, also the location didn't have 2 of the items I had reserve (a furniture dolly and other dolly)
The staff was also very rude, I asked if I would get an extention caseu of how much time and I had it rented to a certain time and they were rude.

All staff there lack customer service.

On the return again they were rude I returned it at 330pm. There was a line up I went in to so the return all the staff was inside talking rather then helping. Theu said I had to weight till i could get under the canopy. And so I said well there is one in the way with no on In it. Again they were rude and told me to go weight.

Any one thay has an issue with them start calling uhal corporate. More ppl that call the better change the rude ppl will be removed.

Defently wouldn't and won't recome d the 50th st location

Ripped me off for gas. Drove 11 kilometres total. Asked me to fill the tank to at least a quarter full as they had stated the truck began at otherwise I was due for a hefty penalty. It took $20 to reach the quarter tank required. Always check your gauges before you drive off the lot. Take photos of everything.

They told me they sent up a payment plan that never happened and now I'm being charged 130 in late fees that shouldn't be late if you want someone who is competent or a company that won't take days to barely resolve and issue go somewhere else don't waste your time with uhaul

100% buy back the boxes false and consider fraud. Do not bid after using it, it is yours to keep or send for recycling. If you lose your receipt, forget it won't help you. Now this kind of experience makes me look for alternatives.

Poor service. They do not inspect trailers for damages before you leave then when you bring the trailer back they charge you for existing damages that were already there before you rent. Be careful nor to get screwed over here. Worst location I've dealt with.

They did not select a truck for my online booking resulting in a huge night for me. I spent 2 hours trying to check in and I needed help from the call Centre. Then because they never selected the truck, the dolly I rented was not in the truck. I ended up losing the help coming to help me move. I had to move in the dark alone without the use of a dolly. I requested a manager contact me about it and I waited a week. I waited on hold for 30 mins and gave up. I’m still wanting a call back to discuss a partial refund as I got a refund for the dolly only. Just a small mistake that resulted in a huge time and money dilemma for me. I manage businesses and a follow up call from management should not take over a week.

The shop on 6504 170 ave do not ret from them I reeved a truck five days in advance and I told them it is important to have a truck so I paid people and got them to help me move and when I went to the place called uncle Pablo's a disgusting place they told yes you have reservation but we do not have truck in an extremely rude way. I don't understand how can you have a reservation but no truck. This is bad for uhaul.

If I could leave a MINUS 5 STAR review I would. NEVER EVER RENT THEIR STORAGE UNITS! We rented a storage unit a month ago and we didn’t check our unit the past 2 weeks and it got robbed. The most weird part is that the lock wasn’t cut or damaged, which means someone got inside the unit through the roof or through the neighbour unit. They stole robot vacuum cleaner, dyson vacuum, speaker, office supplies, fragrances, oil diffuser and more things.also tried to pull our tv out, luckily we hid it pretty well. The worst part is that the Uhaul management wasn’t very nice dealing with this issue. The employee at the front counter told us: “how are guys even sure that you got robbed” seriously? What kind of question is that? Fist of all, some of the boxes in our unit were not in their original spot, secondly they were torn apart, open and EMPTY, also some of the boxes were cut with the exacto knife on the side. Anyways the manager didn’t even talk to us, told us to file police report…. No compassion whatsoever. We filed the police report and later on the police told us that the storage management couldn’t find any evidence on their security footage. Now we are thinking that someone who is employed at this storage is actually stealing things and covering their tracks…Their security system is obviously faulty and doesn’t work. You are paying money for a “secure” storage but in fact it’s not. Terrible management, terrible employees, terrible storage safety system…stay away from this Uhaul storage…

Horrible Branch! Lied about pickup time, lied about the deposit amount. Provided unsafe equipment to haul a vehicle. Straps were frayed and cut… wouldn’t allow it on a construction site yet it’s good enough to haul a vehicle on the highway!? !? Didn’t even care that I had concerns. Stated the equipment needed to be repaired on the checkin page… no follow up there either. Front staff could care less about your concerns and seems to be there for a pay cheque. No front staff. Long line ups.

Horrendous service! Absolutely god awful. Lazy staff, took them a while to realize the front reception needs the most help. Super slow service. Went on a Sunday, 10: 30 was the designated pickup time. Arrived by 10: 30, waited in a 30 person line, didn’t leave with the unit until 12: 30. It took them roughly 15min per person (some 12min others 20min). I booked a 26’ truck, and when I finally get to the counter, they tell me they don’t have the 26’ truck, so I had to opt out with the 20’. Absolutely terrible system. Things need to be more streamline. It’s unfair to every single person to have to wait 1 hour + just for a pickup.

Warning if you’re a person of colour please avoid this place. I went in with my bf to pickup a truck I booked online, I made sure to do everything online because the reviews for this place wasn’t the best. We got there and Lynette Hunter our customer service rep had the worse attitude out of the 3 workers there. She walked out on my boyfriend and I because she didn’t like my attitude but I’m paying for a truck I’m already 40mins behind on and she’s of no help. Of course I’m frustrated. I spoke to one of their supervisors and they assured me they’ll call me latest end of day to discuss what happened I didn’t get receive a call. I told the supervisor I’m going to hold of on putting up a review because I’d like to give to them a chance to redeem themselves. Well I didn’t hear back from them so here’s my review, run from this place. Unless you don’t mind waiting forever for Lynette hunter to get out her feelings.

I rented a truck for 3 days. Most of the experience was good except for the return of the truck. I was charged $127.57 for "Nail in tire Not sure". The "damage" was only discovered 5 days after the truck was returned. When I rented the truck, two tires were low (I have pictures) so I believe that any "damage" was a result of things that happened before I rented the unit. Management responded promptly and it was agreed to reduce the charges. They showed me a picture of a tire with a nail in it. Who knows how long that nail was in there? They claim the whole tire had to be replaced.

She was rude and did not seem to be in a hurry at all.never mind the line up of 20 people because she didn’t want to serve us correctly. She says she didn’t trust us (me and my girlfriend) because we didn’t have a solid address because we were taking things to our parents. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend! The lady behind us had the exact same experience and was back because these guys charged he card twice when they didn’t even give her a truck!

The only reason I'm giving U-Haul one star is because I like their products and I cannot provide a rating of zero stars. I dread every time I have to go to U-Haul because I have never had good service. Everytime I go, there are insufficient staff and the staff that are there are terribly slow. For my last shopping experience, I went first on Sunday and waited 20 minutes to pick up product. I was told to return on Tuesday afternoon because they were out of stock. I returned Tuesday evening and after waiting 45 minutes, the product was in the store but it had not "been received" even though it was in the store and visible for customers to see. Instead of the product, all I received was some lame apology. I definitely need to look somewhere else for boxes and moving supplies. I recommend others do the same!

Has been trying to call them since 11: 30am today, As soon as i called in, they put me on hold. I have been holding for 1 and half hour all together. I tried hanging up and and calling again but still can not get hold of anybody.

As soon as somebody answers the call, they say that they will put you on for a moment but nobody even tries to listen to you or nobody answered even after 1 hour.

I understand they are busy but if they say that they will put you on hold for a moment then their moment is 1 hour and still nobody answers. That's ridiculous.

I was trying to call just to know if they have one part in stock or not which would take only 2 minutes but they don't even care to listen, they just put on hold directly.
I am still on hold and writing this review.very very very bad customer service,
How could be somebody so busy that they put you hold for 1 hour.

Rented a car hauler a few days in advance, upon pickup, I was told they needed it back as soon as possible as they had rented it out at 7: 30 the following morning, not even giving me the option of a full 24 hours which I needed, and still had to pay for.
Gave them the benefit of the doubt, and assumed they had inspected the trailer as they claim to have, but it's very obvious they hadn't. One fender was missing a few bolts and was very loose, the other, had one of the two rubber tie downs, almost completely broken off.
They checked to make sure that the signals and brake lights worked, but did not check running lights, I found out it had no running lights on the passenger side as I was rushing home on the highway, at 11 at night.
The rear safety chain was also broken, and had to be taped so that it would not come loose. If the trailer had been inspected as they claim, that would have been a very easy issue to spot.
Goodluck to the family who was picking it up after I rushed back to drop it off, as it won't be fixed in time.

I am very disappointed with u haul's service, more than 2 weeks ago I had bought a trailer hitch online and scheduled the installation for the 25th of January.but when I arrived at the store, the workshop was closed for renovations and my trailer hitches hadn’t even arrived at the store, no one called or emailed me to warn, this is very annoying, the only solution was to reschedule for next week or another place in the morning (I can't go in the morning because I work, so I had it scheduled for the end of the afternoon) Another thing that really disappointed me was that I was informed that the installation takes 3 hours, and on the website says it would take around 40 minutes. In the end, they didn't solve my problem, and I need to postpone the work I had to do, because the trailer hitch was not installed.

We recently rented the plastic moving boxes here. First of all - much less expensive than Frog Box. Easy to book, easytm to pick up and return. And the service was excellent! They went above and beyond to help us in a friendly manner. Highly recommend.

Terribble service i stood in like for an hr and half with 1 person working with a line up to the door. I had also reserved a truck on the phone, I had explained I was moving and needed an actual moving truck, I showed up the next day and they said they had no truck for me. They never inspected the truck with me, the truck I drove needed an allighnment so bad and it had a low tire, it was also covered in snow so I had to clean the vehicle off and it was sitting outside all night. I tried to call at 6: 40pm and explained i was running late they had mentioned they close at 7: 00pm but of course no one picked up the phone I mean I wouldn't of expected them to pick up considering how long I stood in line for! Now of course I moved out of town now the only way to get my deposit back is to drive 100 km back into town just to this location and most likely stand in line for an hour or wait 4 to 6 weeks for a cheque from Arizona pretty sad considering people are so hurting for money during a pandemic they kind of need it back. Im so fed up with this place now I will never come back here again. Thanks for the poor customer service and time in my life ill never get back. By the way don't bother calling they just put u on hold and leave u there. May I suggest new management and probably new staff just to clean house.

Take a look at the reviews below. U-Haul doesn't even list this location on their own national website. This is NOT a good location. The operator apparently doesn't care about customer service, just getting the money up front.
I think this location has a lot of problems and not protected by U-hauls overall customer policies because it's not longer affiliated.

Here with a friend who we scheduled to pickup a 15' truck at 10: 30 AM. We have this all planned out for the move. When we come pickup the truck they told us the truck is gone. When we asked for the reason they said our booking was at 7 am. Don't come here if you want to get your weeks of plans messed up!

Rented containers from them and returned the date specified on the receipt. They charged me for another week despite nothing on my receipt, any email correspondence, or on the website saying there was a time on that return. I did not authorize this extra charge, it wasn't talked about to my partner when they were returned, they just tried to sneak it as an extra charge on my credit card. Absolutely shady and irreputable place. Never go here at all.

I booked a truck online, and it wasn't the last minute, it was 3 weeks before my moving. My friend and I got there on time as the confirmation email asked for. When we checked-in with the representative, they said we were late for the reservation, therefore they gave away the truck to someone else. I showed them my confirmation email about my reservation and they only said "I don't know how did you get that".
When we asked for further help, the rep started giving us attitude and only passed us a 1-800 number, he asked us to move aside and phoned that number - the worst thing was " the number doesn't work"!
They wasted my 4 hrs in the morning and the customer service was totally a joke. The ad means nothing I guess, just a part of marketing.

Waited over an hour and a half to pick up a trailer because they lost the keys to one of their vans and poorly planned a material drop off. Place is an absolute mess in terms of service and getting what you paid for. Went to drop off the trailer same day and it took over an hour again. Do not go if you're expecting proper timely service. If you want cheap and the same cheap service then this is the place. But if you value your time go somewhere else.

This seems to be the case with most uhaul locations, but it always takes so long to get set up. You have to wait in line for 10-20 minutes generally. Which seems like a long time when there's only one person in front of you. Maybe their computer system is outdated, I don't know. As far as the actual rental went, I was satisfied with the truck they provided me.

I got a very very terrible customer service from this location. I booked my reservation at the beginning of the month, and I went to the 50th street location in edmomton to book. My reservation notice came 3days to the 23rd which is my moving date to pick up the uhaul at another location far away.

I called online to fix this, but the rep said there is nothing she can do, so i requested for a manager. She said none available and it will take 3days to get back to me.

I got a call from 50street later that day saying they can get me the 20ft as against the 15ft I ordered. I told her it was too big but to keep a spot she could book it. I called online and they told me they had 15ft was available and they booked it at a cheaper price.

Got to 50street and they changed the price on us again saying it was the end of the month

Long story short, I went to pick up the uhaual and from it took me 1hr to get the vehicle. Their system froze and we were there in line while other people were attended to. The rep that helped us was helpless and the other rep did not assist when he asked. He finished with everyone on the line and started attending to people on the phone. It was unbelievable.

Their “Guarantee” means nothing. A month ago I requested a 26’ truck for pickup at a place that, according to their website, has Uhaul trucks for pick up; It didn’t. The nearest 26’ truck on the date I needed was over 50k away. I call to rebook as they don’t actually work with you, they just go ahead and book things hoping it’ll work for you.
When I called to rebook I was able to get a 20 foot truck 15k away from my house from 0800-1500. Not bad, I understand, thank you. They Send me a confirmation email with a “guarantee”
4 days before moving I get an email “we’ve updated your order” not only is it not available at that location any longer, it’s only available at the 50k away one again, but 9 hours later than I need it.
I call back as I’m now screwed. I move in 4 days, no company will have anything available.
I get told “that truck broke down and this one is all we got”
I ask them to check around the city, all they can offer me is a 15 foot truck from 0700-1300. I call to try and have it at least until when I originally booked it “1500” they agree and send another “guarantee”. Two hours later, “your order is updated” they can’t even honour the tome the “guaranteed” they want it back at 1300.

Despite booking a month ago and going through all appropriate channels they can’t do anything to help accommodate as “Saturday’s are busy” I know they are, that’s why I booked a month ago.

They don’t care at all as their practically a monopoly in truck rentals and their customer service is trash. If you can arrange anything from anyone else please do it. They’re a worthless, horrible, arrogant company.

4th time going to this location and it's always a nightmare. Incompetent and rude staff. It's so bad here that 2 out of 4 times I've been there, customers are trying to fist fight the staff.

This time booked online. When we showed up they couldn't find the reservation. They wouldn't accept a split payment. Took a long time to do the paperwork. We were told that if we wanted to add insurance we could call a 1-800 number they highlighted on our bill. Called and was told that it was not possible after the fact. Called the rep that did our paperwork and she tried to lie her way out of what she said but eventually admitted she was wrong. The staff gave the person I was with attitude for wanting to check the oil on the truck (this truck was going cross country). Every time I've been to this place it has completely new staff. That speaks for itself.

Worst U-Haul location, rude and unprofessional crew, changing their words after saying something. Avoid this place, bunch of scammers.

I bought this hole box kit, clearly mentioning that 100% guarantee they will buy back unused boxes. Turn in first they only give credit for those unused boxes, and changed their words, we don't take even unused boxes, no refunds, no credit back. You can't even complain to no one, since their head office is in USA. 100% they do not care about customer service.worst place ever.

I rented a motorcycle trailer in January. It cost $15 + $10 for no fault insurance which I think is pretty decent. It has a low floor, built in ramp, a notch for the front wheel of the bike and plenty of tie downs. Easy to load and the bike didn't move a bit. I'd rent it again!

I booked my truck a month in advance just to be sure I would have it for my move. Everything went well with the rental, we went to pick it up at the scheduled time and after they did an inspection we were on our way. At the drop off everything went well as well, no unexpected charges / difficulties, etc.

This place has an odd business model. I went in the showroom and there were three manned service desks, a customer was at one of the desks, so I stood and waited for quite a while before someone finally told me that two desks were only telephone service desks. Why not put them out of view?

Cons: Long waiting line. I can’t even blame staff for not being warm because they looked overwhelmed with customers.
I couldn’t get my refund of my deposit cus the Cheque never arrived as expected. Took me 3 visits, several emails before I was refunded.

Pros: unique services. Different vehicles that meet your needs. Option to book online.

Phoned to book a large truck for 3 days and was told "no problem, it'll be here at this time for you" fast forward to when I go pick it up and was told that we can't have the truck I reserved. Turns out they don't tell you that you can't rent a truck out for more than 12 hours, so I was left with no truck, even though I had called and confirmed that I had a truck reserved. The lady behind the counter was extremely rude and instead of trying to find a solution, kept aggravating the situation making it seem like it was my fault not hers for my not having a truck. All while this was happening, the people next to us were having the same problem. I will never rent a truck from U-Haul ever again.

Never come here if you are in a rush. This place is the slowest place on earth. They have the silliest rental process. They should have a checkout line for people buying a few items and one for people coming to rent vehicles. I've been here on more than one occasion and have waited at least 30 to 45 minutes each time.

Needed to rent a 15' van and a car hauler. Had to pick up the van in Summerside and the car hauler at this location, with the final destination being in Leduc. I tried to pick up the car hauler with my truck as I felt it was ridiculous to have to drive all the way across town, just to pick up an empty car hauler. They would not hook up the EMPTY car hauler to my 2017 Honda Ridgeline because I was told the GVW was 7500. Guess what the empty car hauler GVW is only 2960. Maybe the staff should get a little more education on the products they offer. BTW, the Ridgeline is rated at 5000 lbs towing capacity, so in reality I could have had a 2000 pound load on it and still be fine. A total waste of 2 hours of my time.

I have wonderful experience with those guys. In the middle of the week I came to the store to reserve vehicle it was 5 minutes in and out. Everything done professionally. In Saturday I came probably 30 minutes before I had scheduled pick up time. Nice and clean truck was already waiting for me. Again everything was professionally done. I was advised on everything and where to top up gas with discount. Every single detail was explained friendly way. On my return there was one employee already outside so he checked vehicle and sent me inside to finish payment. Again there was no waiting friendly employee quickly finished everything and with best wishes and smile. In my opinion those are hardworking guys making sure customer is happy. I would gladly recommend this U-Haul store to my family and friends and anyone else who would ask me.

I had put in a reservation for a 20ft moving truck 6 weeks in advance of my move for pick up in Morinville and drop off in Fort Saskatchewan. The day prior to my move I got a phone call telling me that there are no trucks available to me unless I drive all the way to Spruce Grove. Not to mention I wouldn't be able to pick it up until 2 hours after my initial reservation timing. Not pleased with how my reservation was overlooked when I had purposely booked it so far in advance. I had to cancel and find another company that would accommodate my move with only one day notice.

The reviews don't lie, this place is really horrible. Waited over 30 minutes just to buy a few moving boxes. Staff were disorganized and it seemed chaotic.
