Jenna was so helpful in the entire process! Even though it was busy inside she politely helped all customers as quickly as she could and got everyone what they needed. Her positive attitude definitely would make me come back to this location!

I had the good fortune to have Jenna take care of my U-Haul return back in July. Jenna is kind and friendly. She obviously loves serving others. She does it with a smile.
Well yesterday luck shined on me again as I had Jenna look after my U-Haul return.
I get the feeling that all the employees are good employees.
But my 5 state rating is all Jenna!
To the owners/management of this U-Haul I believe Jenna is your most valuable member of your team. I will never go anywhere else if the need arises for me to rent a moving truck.
And I’ll will encourage anybody to deal with this business. Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to be served by Jenna.

Thank you very much to everyone at U-haul! You were so kind and terrifically helpful when helping me attach the trailer we rented to help with loading some of our wrecked items from the Accident in our home for garbage disposal. I would have had no clue how to attach the trailer or test it to make sure it was safe to pull. Thank you very much for your help. This entire situation with the Accident, losing our home, losing everything we worked for our entire lives that was in our home and, almost losing ourselves has been so, so difficult.

Recently accessed service to get their trailer for a week.some of the staffs are inexperienced but couple of Staggs really very helpful and well informative.

Long delay in getting vehicle and completing paper work. Hope they make service quite fast to ensure effective time management.

We took u haul, as it reached at home address it stuck in snow ️ our household things are outside in this winter chilled weather even my family along with 15 month baby.because the tyre condition is too bad we suffered a alot even paid 75 dollar for 1 hour. I didn't get that the price 19.95 distance is not too much.very very very very poor service we got.it would be a bad for other people also you should check the tyres stud

My husband and I were moving out of Alaska and into the lower 48. Our uhaul hitch gave out and bent on the alaska highway. The employees at this location saved our move and our sanity. I would highly recommend anyone to this location strictly based on their amazing customer service! Thank you again to all who assisted us!

If you are moving at the end of the month, book your vehicle ahead of time. The parking lot is small and clogged with vehicles and in rough shape. They have storage on site too. Every time Ive been there (3-4 times) they're understaffed. It takes forever! Large fleet though. Guess you take good w the bad.

First time customer. Excellent experience. Pickup was smooth, vehicle worked well, and returned. $79 total for the 10 foot truck, 40 KMs, 4 hours. Will come again. Next time I will book a few days or week ahead of time, as all I needed was a pickup truck but it was not available on Saturday with 1 days notice. I got the 10 food truck instead which did the job.

When we went to book a truck online for a day we had issues. It simply was an error in the website that was only booking for the opposite times from the stores hours, am and pm switched. Could not book online so we went in. When mentioned to manager she did not care, proceeded to try booking us through the same system on their computers and alas it did not work. She just sits there confused telling us how she can't understand why it won't work and someone will need to call us from uhaul booking.

Their website says 40 dollars for the truck usage but they end charging 200 dollars for 3 hour usage and less than 20 kms usage. For someone that have used rental trucks in Australia and NewZealand. I would say biggest ripoff ever.

Everytime I order something weeks in advance, I get there and they finally inform me that what I need is not available. They either give me something else or I'm short something. Multiples times this has happened. The entire company is incompetent.

Great counter service and the yard fellow was amazing. He was very helpful and STRONG! He moved those trailers around just by pulling them with his own body strength! (not with equipment) and he was very knowledgeable and helped us get our check out done so fast on his own mobile devise.

It was OK, easy pickup of a trailer, used it for what I needed it for and returned it, a busy location. Trailer worked fine staff hooked it up and removed after. All good!

The lady at the front desk doesn’t know what she’s doing. When we’re at the parking, she doesn’t not know what kind of truck it is. And yes, she has the keys, so I had to point it to her. The back of the truck wasn’t clean. I asked her why because it is suppose to be ready. She doesn’t know either. One of her coworkers, assisted us in a rude manner. This place needs to improve their customer service!

This place is a joke, BEWARE of the any of people serving you except for the lady with tattoos that actually knows what she's doing. The people that worked there INCLUDING THE MANAGER tried to scam me and charge me 7x what my bill should have been. The worker and manager were bluntly laughing on the phone and turning away the screen monitor so I couldnt see what was going on. My price went from $150, then to $190 then to $320 in the matter of 5 minutes until finally when someone that actually knew what they were doing took a look and said they actually owe me over $100 and my bill was only about $50.seriously? Imagine how many people have gotten scammed this way.

They will try to scam you. They tried charging me $40 for gas even tho i returned at the same level and had photos to prove it. My mother also visited this week and they gave her a dirty truck and tried make her pay an extra 25$ for "wash fee". Been here multiple times and the theme is the same. Sad when you have to warn your mother about their business practices.

Andre went above and beyond for me to make sure my wife and I had a U-Haul for our move. He even compensated us for a system error that happened that he wasn't even responsible for and it wasn't even in his department. Not sure if this is the location he works out of but this man deserves a raise! Thank you again!

As per the system error, something really needs to be done as I had a booking fall through because I was told I had a truck confirmed and it was ready, and I went there only to find out there's no truck within an hour radius. But Andre went the extra mile to fix this error that was out of his department, and compensated us for the extra costs!

5 star to Andre 100%. But the booking error definitely needs to be addressed as it's not the first time a review has been made about this issue and they only gave one Andre but that man better get a raise for the stuff he does for the customers.

Online reservation/pickup process was long and irritating. Had to upload all of my personal information, card info and DL photos only for the site to have “issues, ” so I ended up standing in line in the store… like I could have 30 min earlier. Further, the unit reserved was buried behind a bunch of other units. I would rather pay a stranger to move my things than use uHaul ever again. Every time I use U-Haul there’s a problem. Shame on me.

I was overcharge on with insufficient fuel. The mileage at return was inaccurate and was charged extra too. I filled rental with $30 as directed by the fuel mileage calculation for the vehicle and according to the fuel marked on the contract. The dealership overcharged me for insufficient fuel. I hope this is not a regular business practice for this dealership or else they are ripping every customer off! I took a photo of the dashboard after returned in the lot. The dealership said take it up with their manager who was not available. I wrote review on their corporate site.
Vehicle had check engine light was on and was the interior was poorly cleaned. There was a used surgical mask in the cab, the driver window lever handle was broken off and the driver side visor was broken.
Overall, this location had poor service and vehicles were poorly cleaned and maintain.

Useless staff, went there for a hitch on October 3 2021 at 4 pm, they had it in stock, and after 10 seconds of looking said "can't find it, here's the part number and call the 1-800 number to see if other locations have it" they didn't bother to check themselves if other places had it, couldn't be bothered to find the two in stock they had, and didn't care to offer ordering it in. It wasn't busy, and there was no one else in the store, just lazy. Definitely makes me not want buy my hitch or anything else from this company now.

These people are on the ball! I have had to move twice recently and have had excellent service. I appreciate the newish 26 foot van with working air conditioning on a day that was 34 Celsius. It used minimal fuel but I drove like my grandmother as I had a load of my precious goods, duh. Thanks for your help friendly staff!

Purchased a hitch for my daughter s 2012 Santa Fe SUV. U haul quoted her 60.00 for install. She booked appointment and asked a second time and told 60.00.and then once she booked in at the garage, they told her 120.00. Spoke with supervisor and he said they would not honor the price.cancelled the appointment. Will go to Canadian Tire or anywheres else. Staff supervisor was rude and unapologetic. Unless place.

I dealt with this location three times. Twice for van rental and once for installing a trailer hitch. They didn't have a van that I reserved on the day of moving. They told me I could pick up another vehicle from a store that was on the other side of town and the other location would give discount. When I got to the other store, they had a van and they said no discount would be issued because they didn't make a mistake. I was on a tight schedule, so I didn't argue.

Today I went into the same location for hitch installation. My appointment was made about three weeks ago. Since I didn't have my ride, I had to pack up my bike. When I got there, the guy who lied about getting a discount from another store greeted and told me that the installation couldn't be done because they didn't have parts. He casually acknowledged a mistakes of not contacting me. I had to wait another 20 mins to see his manager and basically I was told to wait until they receive a part.

I will definitely ask for some forms of compensation but knowing how they run their business, I know that it will be a struggle. My recommendation is to contact the store a day before your reservation and confirm your items.

I will update this review.

Unreal how disrespected I was. Show up on time for my early pick up (6am) to be told system isn't up until 7. They give me sass about it and I'm stuck outside for an hour. 1) why would you let someone book a pickup for after hours if you won't give them the truck until your phone 2) I have rented U-Haul before after hours where you do a self check in with your phone when no one is there, so their answer is completely false. 3) the degree of lack of caring for a paying customer is insane. Never renting from here again.

Very bad customer service the u-haul representative calling me 7am and rushing me to return an auto transport when I had to bring it back by 10am. I actually had the auto transport for 24 hours meaning I rented for a full day it's not my problem if you need it for someone else. I paid for the rental. And when I came in to speak with the store manager she was so rude that they couldn't do nothing about it to compensate me for this kind of rude behavior towards the customer. Please watch out when renting from this location.

Customer service rep rated 60/40.

Original discussion upon securing the rental was whats included and what do I need to bring. I was instructed that I needed to only bring a vehicle capable of pulling the trailer, and that I required no additional hardware.

Fast forward to going into the location, this was not the case and I was required to purchase additional hardware.

The rep did save me some additional money but made up for it in upcharges.

Went to this location for mattress bags based on the inventory list from uhaul website online - inventory did not match website. Staff was friendly. Only 2 customers at a time inside (covid) had a line up waiting to get in for service.

Stay away! Ripped off for fuel. Brought unit back with exact gas and because we brought it back after close, they blatantly ripped us off. 46 dollars for fuel we didn't use. Never again will I rent from this company

Immediately greeted with nothing but kindness and respect. Aws & Jonifer have amazing service, worked hard and fast, very communicative. They found so many solutions for our move and made it less stressful. They went above and beyond to help. They turned my morning and made me feel blessed compared to when I had arrived at another location by mistake.

The 1-800 booking call was a little weird and I wasn't super confident but once the reservation got handed over to Southside it went very smoothly. They have a great selection of trucks. We moved on the coldest weekend of the year and they had the truck all warmed up and waiting for us. You could return the truck off hours really easily from your phone which was very convenient! They restored U-Haul's good name for me.

Got a truck from here and got charged an extra day. Disputed the charges and paid the balance owing that was discussed. The manager was supposed to close the account and didn’t do it. Contacted the manager and she said she forgot and would reverse it. A lot of hassle and didn’t seem like they really cared.

I pre-ordered everything in advance of going in expecting that it would make for a quicker, safer experience. It did not - this is not "curb side pickup" and it is NOT added convenience. Despite being required to enter a time when you will pick up your items, we got there and nothing was ready for us. They hadn't even begun to pull our order which led to a lot of stress, as quite a few things had been listed on the website as only one or two left in the location and they struggled to find things in the store front. COVID safety protocols seemed very lax, there was no hand sanitizer or anything like that. Multiple customers plus staff were inside the store front all waiting around together. Generally very disorganized and unsafe, would not recommend.

Managed to book a truck the day of my move, in person. Staff were very friendly and worked very hard during such a busy move out day. Ended up paying 81$ for a 26 ft truck and only 5 hours to move. Will definitely use their services again next time I have to relocate! Thank you!

I have had a storage unit for just over a year. In that time, it has been broken into twice. The police investigated and found that the manager of the store could not even figure out which unit belonged to which renter. It was that disorganized.

There is no security on premises and I have had to visit the locker regularly just to find out if I have been robbed again.

I got an email that my order was ready for pick up. I go to this location and wait outside for 20 minutes until they come out to see what I was there for and to find out my order was not ready. I didn't have anymore time to wait so I had to leave and come back the following day. The order was still not ready the following day and I had to wait another 15 minutes before being acknowledged by staff. I also asked if the boxes could be returned at any location and they told me yes. I purchased 60$ worth of boxes in case I needed them as this move was extremely time sensitive. I only used 2 or 3 of them and tried to return them at the location I was returning the truck to and they refused to return them. I also called customer service and they told me that the location shouldn't have told me they could be returned anywhere. So I spent 60$ on cardboard that went to the recycling because I had a flight to catch. Extremely unhappy with my experience at this location and I will not use uhaul again.

Their self check in takes ages, might as well just wait in line seeing as you have to anyhow to pick up the key. Dolly wasn't in the truck when I got it, no window scraper for the mountain of snow, smells like cigarettes and there's a qtip in the cab? ! Gross.

Lost storage unit key, costs 80$ to have the 2 locks removed. Then they refused to take debit, told me I had to pay cash because the maintance guy "does it under the table". Told me I couldn't remove them myself, or I'd be charged anyway.

We booked a truck online for a 9: 00am pickup only to be phoned later and told that there were no trucks available until 5: 30pm. Now we have to scramble to find another option. Terrible "inventory" management.

It was busy, but the line moved decently well.

Pro: pretty good selection, fast-ish service, products are good quality

Con: only one staff member wore a mask in the cramped space, little to no parking for your vehicle while you're in the office/store.

They could also consider adding plain (no words), coloured packing tape to their inventory for people who want to do their own colour-coding; or they could sell their pre-labelled packing tape individually instead of in packs of 4 or 6 so you can pick which rooms you want the labels for and how much of each.

Very rude manager. Called about 15 times and then waited on hold for 30 minutes. Called back and they wouldnt even talk to me, immediately "can you please hold" then straight to waiting again. They sent my deposit to the wrong address after I went to collect the deposit. Reason for sending cheque: their debit machine was down. Anyway, after finally getting through to the manager, she took my address and said 'thank you' and hung up on me. I will not be surprised if she didnt update my address at all. Very very unprofessional. Go to another location, even if it's out of the way!

Rented a truck from here October 1st, to move a small car. Associate I dealt with was extremely rude and transphobic, and insisted on calling me sir, despite me informing him I am not a male, to which he responded "no you are a Sir". My driver's license and birth certificate say otherwise. Spoke with the manager who said she would 'have a chat with the employee'. I don't like pulling the 'I'd like to speak to the manager' card, but in this case I had to. Transphobia, especially in a well known, trusted company is unacceptable. As a result of this, I will be taking my services elsewhere, and I urge you to consider the same.

I was not even aware I would be receiving my refund in the form of a cheque. Only upon calling the location a couple days later was I privy to this information. I was under the impression that it would be put back onto my card. I saw on my contract that they put incorrectly my old address, they forgot to put the unit number. I would think that when picking up the truck an employee would ask what my new forwarding address is to send the refund cheque to.

I made 10 phone calls and even showed up to the location, trying to rectify the situation and get my refund for almost 3 months. I have been continuously put on hold almost every time I called. Was told the manager would call me back. That they would look into it. Spent hours on the phone, mostly on hold.

We booked the truck for before the location opened, however when we arrived we could not access the vehicle as there was other trucks in the way. We then had to come back upon the store opening and had to wait in a long line. We had booked the truck for before opening as we had to move two houses in the same day. It put us 2 hours behind schedule not being able to pick up the truck when scheduled.

Also their check in service needs some adjustments. I had to do it over four times in the rain. The most frustrating part was that it kept telling me I wasn't at the location. My GPS was on and sharing of my location was allowed. I have never had an issue with any other location app or service.
Honestly, the whole experience with uhaul was awful.
