I have never driven a big truck before. I drove the 20ft uhaul and it was so easy to drive and I also hired movers to help move my kids and me into our new place. Well done to all of you guys! Thank you! You all made our move easy to Edmonton….

I have been using u haul trucks since long time but today i rented from this location …they never pick calls…when ever u call them they just say pls he on hold and call disconnects even they dont know how to treat customers…zero customer satisfaction very bad experience from this location…even waited for 30 mins here to just return the truck it was not at all busy still

We rented a truck here and upon arrival the truck that was flagged for us was not available so the guy gave us a different truck. Upon returning the truck the employee had no idea how to do the return due to the first employee not changing our contract. Second employee could not explain the credit we got for fuelling the vehicle saying we still owed money. I called the manager, Nicole, and she was able to walk me thru it all. The staff here really need more training because what should have been a 5 minute return ended up taking almost 45 minutes. Would I rent from here again, possibly but only due to the location being very close to us.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. I rented a truck to move belonging into a storage unit elsewhere because I was leaving the province for a year. Upon my return and unpacking, I realized I was missing a very old, very important picture. I have called this location (and am currently on hold again) 18 times! They never give me a chance to say why I'm calling - only instantly put me on hold. The record for being on hold was 38 minutes last time. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible.

Rented a trailer and got the outside of it dirty, took it to the car wash and fully cleaned it, the trailer was spotless upon return. Just got charged a cleaning fee. The inside was exactly the same as how we got it and the outside was was cleaner than any of their trailers. Absolutely ridiculous. I wouldn't have cleaned any of the mud off if I knew they'd be scaming me and charging me a cleaning fee regardless.

Horrible experience renting a storage unit here for years but always had problems. Staff here is always understaffed always a long wait and always a problem with their systems. Also there's no way to leave the secure lot without an access code, isn't that illegal? What if they lost power or I got knocked out and couldn't enter the code to leave. I hate it here so glad I'll never come back. There's six people waiting and one staff.

Takes over an hour to pick up a rental everytime I go. The process appears to be no faster whether you reserve online or not. Will try to rent anywhere else next time.

Rented a unit for 1 year was told its illegal to have insurance, 2 weeks into my unit rental was broken into Sept 20 no call to let me know. They changed the locks without letting me know until I came back Jan and everything is gone. Seems like a inside job. The manager Nichole very sketchy and seems like she is covering up. I will be suing this company. Mother's aches were stolen and she just shrugged her shoulders at me and said oh well. Buyer be ware!

Place is ran by a group of very uneducated folks. Very VERY slow service anytime you go in there. Can be the sole person in the building and wait 15-20 minutes easily. Messed up billing multiple times in the year u was stuck dealing with them, they actually OWE ME $24 for the last NINE months and I've contacted the branch MANAGER twice with a response of "yes that is being sent back to you". Yet to receive a dime. I would suggest any other location or other rental/storage option

This place is supposed to be climate controlled and there is a thermometer indicating the temperature and what the temperature should be with a message to contact Manager if the temperature is beyond safe range but it is so hot, you could probably cook an egg. After several reminders and complaints to staff at desk, they hide behind the Manager, saying it will be reported to Manager who does nothing about it. This has been going on for a long time but they don't fail to take our money on time. Jonathan said we will never see an increase in fees but it keeps increasing. The elevator smells and cleanliness has deteriorated. Think twice before you rent the unit. The whole management has to change.

There was a computer glitch and my reserved storage unit wasn't available. Manger Nicole, customer service reps Brayden and Van set me up with bigger and better storage.

On May 26th 2021 i rent a 15 ft moving van, i MENTION to put the invoice under my COMPANY NAME, they put my e-mail under my company name but put the invoice under my personal name (doesn't make any sense), i called head office, they can't make any changes, i called WINTERBURN U-Haul the person who was on the phone she was rude and she told me that she will call me back and she never did, it's been more than a week

Terrible management! Jonathan is a very inexperienced unprofessional insensitive con artist, how he managed to become a Manager is a mystery, He displays zero management or customer service skills. I would not recommend this location to anyone simply because of Jonathan! He will rip you off and Lie!

It's currently almost an hour after they opened and I'm standing in the parking lot while the attendant cleans the truck because it wasn't ready. The clerk also gave me grief about the $50 pickup guarantee. U-Haul sucks. Go with anyone else.

Good rental facility for trucks and for storage. Only reason I didn't rate 5 stars is their roads on the storage garages are really rough and their customer service is average at best. Especially on the phone. Sometimes I was on hold for 30+mins. Ridiculous in my opinion.

Nicole (Asst. Mgr) was very helpful. Although busy, she took the time to return my calls before the end of day, and helped me resolve the obvious mistake made on the mileage report (I had been erroneously charged extra). I would trust this staff and location, & rent from them again.

Quick and easy. Car trailer was very easy to use and very easy to haul. Service was okay inside, yard guy was not very with it. Not organized at all, but overall a good experience.

Obviously during the entire pandemic situation, workers are stressed, and it definitely seemed like the people there were under a lot of pressure. However, the staff there were also polite and efficient, and honestly seemed like they were trying their best, so good job guys.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! This is the second time I booked with them and the second time they cancelled and said they had nothing four hours after I booked and an hour before I was supposed to pick it up. Terrible customer service and even worse part about it the lady had the audacity to say I had to call head office for my refund of $50 that I paid to reserve even though they didn’t even have the trailer. BEWARE! There is a reason why they have such a terrible review

Worst customer service ever and the uhaul leaked. They were inconvenienced that I was there. Provided no direction and were inconsiderate. Uhaul leaked and did nothing to clear up the situation. They then were going to rent the leaking unit to the next customer. Unbelievably terrible experience.

The truck was in reasonable shape, no real issues ran well and easy to use. The only real problem I had was the fact I could not get the truck before the location opened at 7am. There was no option for a remote option for pickup which I definitely could have used.

I have been dealing with this issue for a week now. I was treated completely disrespectfully by one of the employees at winterburn uhaul. I guess the store closes at 7 pm which I was unaware the door was unlocked and a employee greeted me. So he was in the middle of helping me when JONOTHAN BREWER came in and told me to GET OUT OF THE STORE NOW WERE CLOSED. GET OUT. GET OUT. I said didnt know they were closed the door was open. So he continued to be awful. I was going to let that slide. But then we were charged 266 dollars for a 76 dollar rental. We booked for a 24 hr rental. And he claimed it was only for 12 hrs. When I had received a text rental was due back after 24hrs. Which makes no sense. He wouldn't explain the charges or even be receptive to listening i will include the text i received that I had a 24hrs rental. I have tried calling 3 times to get this resolved and have not been able to get ahold of anyone who can help. I am not going to pay 266 dollars for this. I expect to be fully refunded after how appalling this service has been. I truly hope your employee JONATHAN BREWER is reprimanded or fired. He is terrible. Please get back to me about this asap.

Now in the text it says we had a 24 hr rental. We picked up the rental at 7pm. But for some reason it says our rental was due at 7am which is the fault of the person booking. And the locations fault for not having a 24 rental for us. Not to mention before any of this happend our reservation was canceled on us because when they called my phone number the call didn't go through so we were inconvinced to go to a further location and had to be subjected to JONATHAN BREWER. I would like a resolution and my refund immediately. I have been patient and lenient but this is ridiculous

I was renting a unit when I got an eviction notice for not complying with rental agreement I tried to call the store manager several times left messages to try to find out how I was not complying and to ask if I would be refunded for the 12 days I already paid for but got no response very unprofessional in my opinion

The rental spot is in my boyfriends name, Carmen Carriere. But so far I'm happy here, with 1 month free who can complain. However I wish they kept the yard open later daily. At times it's very hard to make it there in their hour time zones

This place is honestly the worst, they never answer their phone EVER. We have had a storage locker here for almost 2 1/2 years now and not a single time that I have ever called ahead of time to ask a question (so that I don’t have to drive all the way down) have they ever answered. Then when I get there and tell them “why don’t you guys ever answer the phone? “ I always get some remark along the lines of “you probably called the wrong number” which I then call the number in front of them and watch the phone ring.not to mention that every time we go in to ask a question different employees give us different answers. We were told that they provided lock cutting for an additional $50 charge, then low and behold when we ended up losing the key and driving all the way down there (because again they didn’t answer the phone) we were told that we had to provide our own locksmith. Their storage units are also way overpriced, we wanted to downgrade because we had gotten rid of a lot of stuff and the smaller unit which is literally less than half the size of the one we have now was only about 7$ less per month. The best part is you have to guess how to get there because they do not care to fix the fact that their address is wrong on GPS, and pretty much the only way you can get there is through a random industrial back road (so far that I know of because there’s no way of knowing another way to get in, the staff are completely rude and unhelpful) they have the stupidest security system I’ve ever seen, it requires you to punch in a code at one end of the opposite door that you’re supposed to enter through but there are automatic sliding glass doors that open for anybody? I really don’t understand the logic of this. Supposedly an alarm is supposed to go off if you don’t punch in the code but on multiple occasions I have forgotten to punch in the code and walked in and nothing happened.
If I wasn’t so lazy to move a two bedroom apartments worth of stuff, I would take my business elsewhere.

Pretty sure we will not ever use Uhaul again. After we ran into some snags with picking up the U-Haul initially in BC, the U-Haul distributor was trying to charge us $200 deposit instead of uhauls $100 deposit, we called the uhaul customer service line and after a very long wait, we had an American lady who told us it was going to be fixed. The distributor still maintained the 200 deposit needed to be paid. We left and called uhaul again when we got home, finally, finally, we managed to get on our way a day later. A whole day, delayed because there was a language barrier with the distributor, who had difficulties with English as their alternate language. Then, when returning the U-Haul we were told by one Clerk, that even though we had returned all the equipment that we rented, including the blankets, and the furniture dolly, and swept out the truck, that we would not receive any credit for doing so. We said ok fine, it was only supposed to be $5 anyhow, but we couldn't close our account because it said that we still had outstanding equipment, even though we did not. It took the clerk of very long time and talking with several different people to no avail. He could not get our account closed out. This same clerk stated that the manager would be able to close it the next day, as he was gone for the day when we were in the store. That very same clerk had said we would be refunded a day for all the trouble that we had on the other end, and with the return. He said we would be returned our deposit as well. Not only were we not returned our deposit and credited the one full day, but they charged us an additional $28. After attempting to reach the manager who was conveniently out of the office for 6 days, I heard nothing until the 6th day when I had said that I was on my way down there to wait until they found a manager to fix this. It was during that call, then finally they told me at that time that we owed the $28. I was fuming. Prior to that there was no communication whatsoever. After much complaining and even getting a bit heated. They. Credited us back 34.50, and we still didn't get our deposit. WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER.

The staff aren't very good at working with customers. They promise things on the phone and when you arrive they say they don't have it. One person on at the register while the other staff member is putting away garbage. I'm actually standing in line, was suppose to have my trailer for my move half an hour ago and haven't even spoken to the staff yet. I have people waiting behind me, and this guy helping people have no confidence. I'll be using another company for my next move.

Took 45 minutes to book a truck for 5 hours. Computers were having problems, so we got switched three times to different computer, having to wait for our information to be put in each time. Ended up with a one way vehicle (a vehicle meant for long distances), and ended up with very unsafe, bald tires.

Staff were all very polite and apologetic about the waiting we had to do.

Although I could have checked the tires myself before leaving, after the wait and knowing we only had a limited amount of time for the day, I feel like there should have been compensation in some way, but wasn’t offered anything, not even an apology, about the unsafe vehicle I was given.

Lynne is clearly rockstar at her job, but she also clearly needs at least one other person to help her. Checked into a storage room and Lynne had to go to one end of the compound to let another lady into the compound (who was there first) then had to let myself into another area, meanwhile there are customers waiting outside to get into the customer area because Lynne needed to lock the door so she could leave to assist the people who had arrived before. MANAGEMENT help your employees help you, even though Lynne is fully competent she can't do all the running around that is required and help customers in a timely manner. This is unacceptable and she deserves gratification in the form of a raise!

They screwed me out of a closed in trailer which I preordered for 5 days moving my stuff. It was raining those days I was moving so all my stuff got wet. Don't like uhaul in Edmonton
