The food is really delicious. Portions are also good. Staff is very polite. I give 4 stars for 2 reasons. 1. If I pay 17$ a glass of wine and you are to be considered a high end restaurant, I expect that you bring the glass and the bottle and you pour the wine and let me taste it, approve it and also check the bottle. Instead the server brought 2 full wine glass, like we were in a "osteria" and was serving a cheap wine form a tetrapack. 2. The prices. Over 30$ for ravioli di zucca.that is way unjustified.
Budino and torta all'olio d'oliva as dessert menu, are a oversimplified choice.

Went here to celebrate an event with friends but this is a place we won’t be coming back to. It was highly disappointing overall we can say the food is not horrible but is it enough to overlook lacklustre service and this atmosphere or interior honestly looks like cafeteria dining to me. Been to Italy and I don’t think the Italians would approve of this.

I can never understand why you want people to have reservations only for them to stand by the door for 5 mins like wait for you guys to get organized and not be seated properly as soon as possible. It doesn’t make sense why the service is this…meh

The food is good but not amazing. I understand how this could be a “date” or night out place in Edmonton but the service ruined it for me. They need better lighting too because it’s very unevenly lit and for some people that’s a headache and some people just don’t care.

The service tried to be good but it didn’t really get there. It feels like there’s nothing special with how they do things so maybe they’re just not as inspired anymore. The servers felt like they just want to get through their shift and go home instead.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and I asked my friends about their experience here too and was surprised to find out they didn’t understand the hype either and just never bothered to come back.

I wish Corso 32 was still here

I’m sorry but I don’t understand how this place have gotten the high reviews it got. The service was lacklustre and the ambiance was okay. The food was amazing the first 3-4 times I’ve been but things changed or their quality just went downhill.

The service was way better a year ago too so I’m not sure if something changed but they’re not getting better.

People used to dress up for this place and now I see it’s now a casual dining experience. If you want really good service and great food just go to Tzin

I fail to see what all the hype is about with this place. It seems one of those hipster places that is popular with the urban crowd but the food or ambiance definitely do not match the prices here. We had arancini, spaghetti, paccheri and an olive oil cake for desert, and except for arancini, which was decent, nothing impressed us. Both pasta dishes came with incredibly sour-tasting and over-spiced tomato sauce that completely overwhelmed the pasta. Please don't tell me this is how real Italian pasta sauce should taste (and also don't tell me you can make that sauce with half-ripe tasteless US-imported tomatoes in Edmonton). The evening was 'crowned' by a very dry desert cake, which came with a dollop of flavourless ice cream. The service, however, was fine, although somehow behind the polite smiles I did not really see a human touch. But perhaps I am asking too much of this place.

After dinner, I’m really thirsty because the food at this restaurant is very salty. I don’t think I will visit there again, even though they have good service and a pleasant environment.

The food was not balanced in flavour. Salt was not present. Ravioli was very sweet. Wagyu was good and the chicken was moist however very little flavour. I am well aware of the salt shortage in Alberta but still can’t believe the chefs do not taste what they send out. Corso32 was top notch compared to this off shoot. Would not recommend to others.

3 of us shared samplings of 6 different dishes, their choice. Unique flavors, presentations and combinations.

A very welcoming and accessible restaurant! Delicious food and drinks. It's the perfect place for family dinner, celebrating special occasions or treating yourself to some elevated comfort food. It's always top of list for a night out!

Incredible modern Italian fare from the folks that also are responsible for the sister restaurants next door - Corso 32 and Bar Bricco. This establishment is the middle between Corso's formality and Bar Bricco's joviality. It's got two floors and is long in this cozy space. The food is impeccable here. I've never been disappointed. The wine selection is phenomenal and it's always a buzzing vibe in this upscale space. The only knock is that I find the service to be a bit "uppity". The servers could perhaps relax a bit. Maybe this scale of service works in Corso but I'd prefer a little more lightheartedness from the wait staff. Otherwise, top marks across the board.

You have to try this place to really understand how good it actually is. Simply amazing food! Highly recommend.

First time I went to Italy I was very confused by their menus. Pastas and protein were separate, lots of courses, very different pasta than we're used to here in Canada.

This reautuant nails the authentic Italian style. Delicious and unique pastas from our "Americanized" version.

Came here for the tasting menu and it did not disappoint. The food was incredible and the portions are very much worth the price. We had 4 appetizers, 2 pastas, a salad and half a chicken, and 2 desserts. We left with a lot of leftovers and we’re so full. The staff is knowledgeable on their wines and the service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back!

Food and service were both amazing! They made up for the cramped dinning atmosphere. Also note that the washrooms are down a flight of stairs. I don't think they're accessible if you have mobility limitations.

Not alot of space in the restaurant, but holy cow that food was life changing. It literally redefined pasta for me. And it was good enough to forget that I was in a fairly loud and tightly packed restaurant.

The overall experience was very underwhelming. I heard so much about this place and i went in with high expectations. But it was such a disappointment. The drinks we ordered weren’t fresh at all. The juice was out of carton orange juice, really we paid thrice the price for that. And then the food, the portion size is so small considering the price per dish, and that it can’t be enough for one person. We ordered a few things but nothing really stood out. Only good thing was ambiance. It was clean n well maintained.

Katherine was an absolute top server, exceptional. She made the entire culinary experience astronomically better with her hilarious jokes and unmatched attentiveness. One thing makes me grumpy when I dine, and that is having to wait for a new drink while mine sits empty. There is nothing worse than having to endure your company with an empty glass. Luckily this was never the case as Katherine was always there to make sure we were taken care of in a timely manner and with great class. Also, the beef carpaccio was delectable. Order that.

I had heard quite a bit of buzzing about Uccellino and thought we would give it a try. It's interesting that they claim to be a "trattoria" considering that an actual trattoria in Italy is more of a cheaper place to eat. The presentation is nice, however I wasn't wowed by the flavours or the quality of ingredients in the dishes (which is key in any authentic Italian dish - the ingredients are simple but extremely high quality). I understand that they probably aren't importing produce from Italy, but for the price they're charging perhaps they should be. In terms of the service, everything felt quite rushed. Overall mediocre-quality Italian for a steep price.

I didn’t get the chance to eat at this restaurant. Booked a table at 8: 30 for 4 and was given a table at the very end of the restaurant. The ambiance was really not the same, no music just noise from the kitchen and view to the bathroom. We asked for a different table but our request was denied. We decided to leave and eat somewhere else.
