Good facilities and excellent doctors. Receptionists Thomas and Ann are truly outstanding, being extremely helpful and friendly. Thomas is prompt in replying to emails. Special thanks to Dr. William Han MD and Dr. Fang Yang! Although waiting times can be a bit challenging, and parking fees can be a pain, overall, it's all good. Appointments are a must.

1) Shouldn’t have to come in for an appointment to refill a prescription I’ve been on for over a decade

2) Dr Han’s assistant asks questions that are never relevant to why I am here. I just want a prescription refill (and was already here a month ago) but yet she wants to discuss birth control.

3) Get to see the assistant doc quickly, but Dr. Han comes in anywhere from 30+ after that, often times just chatting with people in the hall

IT SHOULDN’T BE THIS DIFFICULT TO GET A PRESCRIPTION REFILL

If there wasn’t such a shortage of doctors in this city, I wouldn’t be coming here. I’d even rather a walk in dr.

Writing on behalf of George Eakins.

I'm a relatively new patient, it takes a while to trust people, but now that I've met Dr. Han, and gotten to know him and the staff a little better, the treatment is excellent. I feel very lucky to be a patient here. Sometimes it's hard. I don't like to coming into doctor's office, I don't want to be a burden, there are so many people that need help, my problems are so small, but now that I'm old and I don't work, I depend on society. I thank all of you very much.

They hardly looked at me and just gave me antibiotics.people working the front desk had no clue what they were doing and were very confused when i tried to make an appointment.they didn’t do anything that they were supposed to for the appointment i made.

Anne in reception is always friendly, professional and helpful. It makes it a pleasure to visit this location.

Don’t worry, if you have any concerns they sure won’t listen to you.
It’s been a wild goose chase for two years, I’m convinced these ‘doctors’ only cater to a certain demographic. Don’t waste your time dealing with this place. Super unorganized. And the front staff don’t take their jobs seriously at all as I’ve seen them ignoring phone calls to take photos of themselves. Unprofessional.

Be prepared to wait for hours before seeing the doctor when you already made your appointment weeks ago.

If you need to see a doctor here, you might as well clear your whole schedule. They start appointments at 9 am, but they also tell you the doctor doesn't show up until 930-10 am. This is standard for them. I would rate this clinic a giant ZERO if it wasn't for the support staff.

Strongly recommended Dr Han. I have a skin issue and visited Dr Han at 9am, even I don’t made an appointment, Dr Han asked me in very details. Finally he immediately help me to the skin doctor. He is so helpful to patient.

Can't recommend Dr. Han & his team enough. Compassionate and wise care. Yes - you might have to wait a bit. Consider it time well-invested; his thoroughness of enquiry - attentive to the 'details' of long-winded seniors like me - is what happens when empathetic physicians like Dr. Han take the time to learn what ails you. I'd award the clinic six stars, but I'm only allowed five.

Here's a tip to spare patients at this training clinic some pain: some pharmacists have the ability to prescribe medications if it's confirmed that you have a family Dr who originally prescribed it.and I think they can easily prescribe medications for other common ailments. So instead of waiting for hours for the Dr here to write a prescription, find a pharmacy like I did a few blocks away where the head pharmacist can prescribe a 3 month supply (his assistant who's there on the day when the head pharmacist is is not in can only prescribe a one month supply).

The pharmacist at United Health Centres is a very sweet person (as are the nurses) and I would love to continue to visit the Holistic Care pharmacy but waiting 1-3 hours to get a prescription or refill and have it signed by Dr. Han is unacceptable. Multiple times I have waited in a room or stood in the doorway and chatted to others waiting by their room to see the Dr. (I've seen ladies in tears - twice - from frustration). Once, we went down the hall and knocked on his office door, asking him to see us. He was there with a young adult who was not dressed as a healthcare professional.

Sure, the whole process takes a little longer because you usually have to see a "physician in training" here first before you see the Dr. When the training Dr.sees you and records your medical concerns and history, you're likely going to have to re-explain most of it to Dr. Han. When it comes to him finally seeing the patients, I suspect he does not respect the waiting patient's time. My initial visit to this clinic (on a day when it was not busy at all) included me filling out a self report survey on the computer. The door was open and I could hear Dr. Han on the phone. He came back and apologized for forgetting about me. He generally is a thorough Dr.and a friendly, positive person but during more recent visits I have felt rushed by him when describing health concerns.

Also I showed up for an appointment once when he wasn't in the building (I heard him speaking and the outer door shutting loudly behind him). When I asked outright if he was in the building they confirmed he wasn't and the training Dr.couldn't give me a prescription for that reason. They expressed frustration like this was normal for Dr. Han. Staff didn't know when he would return but suggested waiting until the end of the hour when they thought he might be back. When he did return, he went into the neighbouring room to chat with someone who I think was another health professional, not a patient.

I could go on.

One perk about this clinic is that I once booked on a certain day (a Monday I think?) when his female "assistant" (training Dr. I believe) was there and so essentially had access to a female Dr. (it's difficult to find a female Dr.in Edmonton but many women might prefer to see one).

Medical office staff tried to charge me for a doctor referral, highly ILLEGAL. I have launched a complaint with the health advocate and they agree it's unethical and not legal.

Terrible experience. Bad receptionist and worse doctors.

Doctors told me they would put a referral in for a specialist and forgot twice. I have a list of other complaints but I'm just exhausted and have given up all together.

Save yourself the frustration and time and just go with a different doctor.

I have never written, or wanted to write a review in my life, but I want to share my experience in hope that it changes at least one persons mind about choosing this office.
If I could put zero starts I would. My old family doctor retired from the meadowlark clinic about 5 years ago so I was left in the hands of Dr. Han. He was amazing when I saw him at that clinic. Then I started going to United Health Centres since he worked out of that clinic as well. The wait times were atrocious, I would always be waiting at least 2 hours before getting called, then another 30 at least until I saw someone, and when I did it was very rushed, everyone seemed frazzled, and I’d be talking to other doctors instead of Dr Han.
A couple years ago I was pregnant with my first kid, unplanned, I had no idea what I was doing. I decided to see the gynaecologist Dr Azer. He made me feel stupid and guilty for not knowing what I was doing and almost missing the deadline for a certain ultrasound that I didn’t even know about, and he made it seem like it was 100% necessary when it wasn’t. And when the results came back and there was something potentially negative on it he delivered the news very coldly, abruptly, and without a care in the world. It made my entire pregnancy an absolute nightmare. It was very traumatizing.
Fast forward to now, I have been trying to see Dr Lee since last year and all my appointments are either cancelled, I show up to the appointment and they tell me it’s cancelled even when the reason for the appointment is to refill my daily meds that I can’t miss a day on and they leave me to fend for myself and try my luck at a walk in clinic… My last attempt at getting an appointment with Dr Lee was last Monday, they said they would call me back and they never did, I called back this morning and the next available appointment is in 2 and a half months, so I am once again left to fend for myself to get my multiple daily medications.
Please please please do not choose this clinic, it has given me an incredible amount of grief for years.

This is a very professional clinic. Had a appointment on Tuesday and got into a room within 3 mins. Great staff and doctors.

Booked an appointment 4 months prior to my appointment for me and my partner. I called today to confirm as I had not received a reminder for our time slot.

I was told they cancelled my appointment two months ago. I never received any notice.

With family doctors being so hard to find we expected that having waited 4 months to get a first meeting we would be okay. However now we have wasted two months not getting on another list because of the disfunction of this practice.

You are playing with people’s health here. You should be embarrassed.

I've never waited less than 45 minutes to see Dr. Han here. I'm currently at 1.5 hours just to get a refill on a prescription I've been getting for two years. Ridiculous. Too bad my old doctor died. I'd go back to him any day.

I booked an appointment and received a confirmation five months in advance. A month later they phoned and cancelled because their doctors, specifically Dr. William Han MD CCFP, were no longer accepting appointments. I would advise anyone looking for a doctor to seek another practice, even if they have an existing appointment currently, it may save you some time.

Good Health centre! All doctors and personal are professional. Yes, they could be busy, it is due a lot of walk-in patients.but no problems if in your own appointment you bring your kids for example - doctors not refuse additional little patients.

I had an appointment for 2: 15pm to meet my new doctor after booking 2 months prior. Patients that walked in without an appointment were told they don't take walk ins but were still taken in before me. I arrived at 1: 50pm to be sure I could do my paperwork prior. I then waited for my 2: 15pm appointment for an hour before I asked the front desk (at 3: 20) if an hour wait was typical, they said, "yes sometimes. " And shrugged at me with a blank stare.
Totally shocked I continued to wait. Another patient in the waiting room said last time they waited for 2 hours themself. I believe them because I waited in the waiting room of the clinic for a total of 2 hours aswell before being taken in.

While I was waiting in the drs room I over heard him telling another patient to find another dr because he was "too busy".

Meeting the actual dr was fine he was kind and jovial. If it wasn't already painstakingly hard to find a dr I would've been long gone though. It's no wonder they are looking for new patients.

One star is a lie, I would give them negative stars if I could. The conscientious in the waiting room was the same. Terrible consideration for patients time. It doesn't take much to reevaluate appointment slot times, ask patients what their needs are while booking to properly evaluate the amount of time each patient needs. This hasn't been a consideration whatsoever. Don't bother booking them as your doctor unless you have a LOT of time to waste!
