Steve was very knowledgeable in helping me buy all the necessary parts for my new to me KLR. Top notch service and fun to deal with. You can tell these guys enjoy what they're doing!
I was looking for a helmet that fits me.and I think Steve was very helpful and he treated me like an old buddy.did not decided yet on my purchase and never been pushy. You really need to consider to go there. It's going to be my first stop next time.
Great place for motorcycle Maintenance and parts, especially klr650. Don is a great mechanic/machinist and won’t steer you wrong. 10/10 would recommend.
Universal cycle has been nothing. Short of fantastic to me and to my dad. They are the first ones that helped me get a helmet and a jacket that fit properly, and gave me amazing recommendations, being a new writer at the time, that helped me have a much more enjoyable experience. I could recommend universal cycle more.
I dealt mainly with the mechanic Don and he was courteous and professional. There was a pretty long to-do list on my bike and the guys got it purring like new! Cost was exactly what I expected.
This has to be one of the BEST shops in Calgary, great friendly service. I needed two back tires fixed up and they were able to squeeze them in to get my son and I back out riding. I'll be returning back to them for any and all services needed.
Highly recommend Universal Cycle! The gentleman who helped me was extremely knowledgeable and truly went above and beyond to help me out. Very fair pricing, and truly commendable customer service!
Rich was kind, outgoing, and knowledgeable about my needs and the products he handles. I am person that is tough to fit for clothing, but this little shop managed better than the big guys in town at much better pricing (cough. Blackfoot.cough). I will return here first for future motorcycling needs.
My son and I were on a cross Canada motorcycle tour this summer, zig zagging the provinces (to skirt the rains!). Putting on so many km's, meant we started to "overstretch" the chain, and the sprockets were in need of changing. We contacted Universal Cycle, after being referred by a reputable motorcycle shop in Calgary, to see if they had a chain and sprockets in stock, and hopefully get us back on the road to finish our 18,000 km journey. The staff at the shop went out of their way, to have a chain expedited to their location from out of town, The chain and sprockets installed while we waited early the next morning. The customer service was outstanding, and thus another great day to keep riding. Thanks again.
I have been going here for many years. Probably more than 10. Don was the only one I trusted with my old 1981 Kawasaki. He has done great work in the past but something when horribly wrong the last time I needed service done. I don’t know what but I suspect he had one of his underlings do work on my bike and they didn’t take much care and attention to it. I had to take it back 3 times after the initial repair to get the results I paid for, and still ended up with a issue that wasn’t there when I brought it in. Don tried his best to make it right by having the bike back and handling the issue with a cool calm attitude. But in the end my bike still needs something fixed that was not there when I brought it in. Don YOUR a great guy with a great shop and YOU have a great customer interaction (Rich and Steve included) but I and afraid to bring my bike there anymore. Thanks for the many years of great years of service.
Really bad experience with these guys, called & talked to rich about removing tires/bearing & break disks of off my rims to be powder coated! Was quoted around 200$ for the job, when finished payed 500$ for the removal of tire/bearing/disks & installation of a Heli coil on my gear box. Talked to Don about issues & he seemed not to care & blames it on lock tight on break disks & there techs broke bolts I will now have to replace.when got bolt back NO Penetrating oil was even used to aid in removal. Will not use them ever again nor would I recommend to any biker. Should have done the disks myself. Not impressed
I would recommend going elsewhere for mechanical service. Mechanic don knows what he is doing but made it very clear to me that he did not want or need my business. If you are not like him, he considers you a fool and will treat you like dirt. Let the old man wither away in his shop and grow irrelevant. Guys in the front are nice and helpful though. Go buy your helmets and whatnot there.
Super selection of drayko jeans, yeowzah. Tons of styles and sizes to pick from. I rolled in the shop this fine Friday afternoon and had about three guys helping me at one point. If they got what ya want, I'd highly recommend swinging by this shop! Thanks guys! Happy riding
