These are my people. Everyone in the shop is awesome, but I have a special appreciation for Lauren and what she brings to my self care routine!

There appointment system is great and sometimes you don't have to wait when you get there.

Stopped in for a haircut as it’s close to my work. Was in and out in under 20 minutes (no wait) and the barber was super friendly. It was nice to get a hot towel after to wipe down my face and neck too. Would recommend!

Such a good place very nice people working I go there all the time very cheap, easy to get to and overall the best place in Calgary

Went in for a haircut and beard trim with line up, wouldn't go there again. My beard looks different on both sides. I had to go to a different Barber that lined it up properly. Be careful, I had to go to a wedding so I needed to look presentable and not with 2 different beard lines, not happy with there work.

After trying many barber shops in the NW came to this shop and now don’t want to go anywhere.

Professional & Excellent service. My first time visiting here and will definitely come back again. I'm sure all the other staff are also unbelievably talented but Alex has got to be the finest for a proper fade and beard work. This has got to be the place to go if you're looking for a proper cut with amazing service and decent price!

Without being dramatic, words really can't describe my experience there today. I've had such bad luck at other salons, with stylists that don't listen. Today when I put on my glasses and saw the work Lauren did on my hair, I was speechless. It looked awesome and the best part was that she actually listened to me and asked questions. She gave me some crazy height on my hair and the housemade pomade kept it looking freshhhhhhhh! Definitely will be coming back. 5 stars!

I've come back a few times since posting this review and they are still amazing. The owner is a friendly lad who gives back to the community. I wish there were more people like Joe. Him and his team are really nice people.

Have been here quite a few times still new to the business and so far they’ve done amazing job each time I get a hair cut. Fades are NOT part of a regular haircut, bummer as something new for me, so do expect to pay like $30 for a fade plus your haircut. Fades are done really well so I can say they make it worth it. Best practice is to book an appointment on their website as they get busy pretty quick. Hope you all enjoy your time there

Joe and the rest of the barbers are always so kind and so efficient. I would definitely refer ppl here. They are very friendly and my boys always leave hair with the service they were given.

Joe and the rest of the team are very talented and personable. For my wedding I went to him a bit earlier and got him to retouch up my beard and hair the day before the event.

I joined the waitlist. It said 35 mins. I had time to go somewhere else 5 mins down the road. I got a text message saying be there in 10 mins for appointment even though website waitlist said 35 mins. I called right away to say hey I am 5 mins away. I got there and they took the next person and expected me to wait over 20 mins. Terrible service. I will never go back again. Bad system and terrible service even when I was considerate to call and let them know how their online appointment system is very inaccurate.

This place is fire! Hidden gem in the Edmonton Trial/McKnight area. All the staff there are super friendly and take good care of their clients. It's a fun place to go and all the barbers have a lot of talent. Plus that Joe Kutz beard pomade is awesome. Hope their injured staff members get better soon!

Ok if you only want a fade might be a good spot. However if you want anything else do not go here. If you have longer hair this place is not for you. Also tried being polite and let them know this isn’t what I wanted and there customer service was not great. However there is a female stylist at the location who is great. So if you have to go there request her. Customer service sucks unless your one of there buddies. Lots of great hair places in this city but this place isn’t one of them.

Great haircut, great service, great place, MO did my hair and was engaging and talkative. New when to be talkative and when not to. Haircut was very well done, atmosphere was clean. Complimentary drinks (water pop) and hot towel treatment. This is my new goto place for haircuts and shave. Love it. Price was actually too cheap. I am willing to pay extra for good service. I get that I just got a buzz cut but man, very affordable. This needs to be your goto barber, is mine now for sure. Thank you.

I sent my 13 year old son in to get a cut, I stayed in the car, and when he came out he was glowing! As much as he loved his new cut, he LOVED Eddy and went on about him for an hour! Said Eddy was a super cool dude and all the staff made him feel like they were all friends! Talked about sports and video games and they gave him a huge confidence boost just by being so friendly, not to mention his "dope" new do. We will only go here from now on!
Oh, and Eddy- sorry about the $1 tip! He didn't know how much to give haha don't worry, we got you next time! Hope this review helps haha

My first time at Upper Kutz (Edmonton Trail) and I have to say.great haircut. The barber gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve had in a long time. The shop was clean as to Covid protocol. The price was amazing. The best compliment I can give to them is that my wife really liked my haircut.and she is hard to please.

Best barbershop in the city, hands down! The wait times are never long because they have a great online system where you can see you your place in the queue. The service is always above par, and Joe always manages to get my haircut the exact way I like it. The hot towel at the end of the haircut is definitely refreshing! You really feel a genuine care from all the staff to make sure you leave the shop satisfied. Definitely encourage anyone looking to get a fresh cut in Calgary to pass by here!
