I’m quite disgusted with this place. I’m not the type to leave reviews but this is gross and so not okay. I have been coming here for a pedicure for some time with my good friend. My last pedicure was over a month ago when I was still pregnant and I ended up getting a toe infection. My baby is now born and my toe has not healed completely and hurts quite a bit still. I’ve used tons of polysporin but it’s not finished healing yet. Note I only got an infection on one toe and found out my friend also got an infection from when we went but on 2 toes. I thought I was a one off but I’m not. This is gross and I’m genuinely disgusted and now can’t do anything with my toes until it’s healed completely. They need to throw out all of their pedicure tools and completely sanitize everything else. So gross

I was recommended to go here and I was excited that other reviews noted how clean the salon was. I made an appointment the day before and waited for 40 minutes after my appointment time before leaving. Super disappointed:/

Highly recommend this nail salon! I had Tracy and she was so gentle and did an amazing job on the French + line nail design!
She took her time also and didn’t rush, when I asked for something to be fixed she was really nice about it!

I went in yesterday evening for a pedicure and was very nervous pleased with the service. I haven’t had great pedicure experiences recently but L. T. (I believe that’s her name) took her time and did a great job. I definitely plan to return on a regular basis. Thank you for doing great work L. T!

Went for a pedicure last night but My heels are still dry and hard, she didn't use the scrape thing on it. I'm not sure why.kinda disappointed since I paid almost 70$

Went for the first time in this place, Amazing and atmosphere and clean.
I done my nails with Hailey, she did a good job and was fast. Definitely I will come back

I would usually give them 5 stars, I’ve been coming here for 3+ years. However in the last 6 months, I’ve noticed a trend in receiving under experienced technicians (probably because I only get a shellac manicure), from now on I’ll be calling and booking an experienced technician as every time i arrive and tell them what I want they will grab someone new to do my nails. The polish application I received yesterday was so awful I couldn’t believe she was going to let me leave like that, I had to tell her to redo it as the polish was so clumped and thick on my nail I was for sure not leaving with that on my hands.she proceeded to tell me to choose a different color as the color was too light for less coats, I always get light colors and never has the polish application turned out like that. I choose a different color and she put 2 coats on and the application looked fine. Mind you I have 2 nails chipped already. She proceeded to tell me up until I walked out the door that I need to tell my technicians to only put 2 coats. Uuuuh I’ve been coming here for multiple years and never had to tell my tech what to do. I’ll be booking with experienced technicians from now on, to save the time and the attitude.

I’ve been going to urban nails since they opened years ago. The nail techs, specifically Lilly, Hailey, and Ryan are excellent. Always great service and good quality nails. Highly recommend!

I have been to multiple nail salons looking for a tech who would be comfortable with the fun designs and length of nails I like, and honestly I was ready to give up. In November of 2018, based on a referral I started seeing Lily and it was the best decision I have ever made! Lily is kind, attentive, accommodating, incredibly talented and so much more. She always goes above and beyond to make sure her customers are satisfied with her work. After 5 years of amazing service I can confidently say I look forward to many many more.

Lilly at Urban Nail Bar is absolutely incredible! The atmosphere, staff and professionalism is always top notch! My nails are always perfect and my time with Lilly is always so enjoyable!

They were ready for me right as my appointment time came which is usually rare in this industry at least for me best pedicure I’ve ever gotten and she was very polite 10/10

I have been coming to this salon for years and Temmy never fails to impress! She did an amazing Christmas Grinch set for me and is always willing to paint my daughter's nails. Amazing, fast service and very personable employees. Highly recommend!

I have been going here for over 3 years and was very pleased with the service and the end result.
However they have gotten so much more expensive and lacking quality. The last two times I have been there my experience was terrible. The first time my nails just looked awful and kept chipping. Before writing a review I went back to see if they would fix the problem. All they would do was give me $20 off. Then I was informed that I would have to pay for a fill. Also if I wanted something else that would also be extra. I just went ahead with it because of how horrible my nails were. In the end it still cost me close to 60 dollars before my waxing. I went home only to find out that my nails didn't cure properly and were sticky and rough. I will never go back there, I don't even care that I will lose all the reward dollars I earned there. It's not worth it.

Friendly service. Three off us were able to get pedicures at the same time. Lots of staff helped keep customers be serviced I quick manor. Definitely would recommend.

I went in for a manicure shellac! I asked her to do a French manicure she was unable to do it I asked her to put some gems on my nails she said she doesn’t know how! And they still charge me $50 for a French manicure! I walked out of this place unhappy and given attitude from several of their employees tell me why do I support your business! Terrible terrible experience!

This is the worst place to have your nails done. I went through hell with this people. Lot of my friends told me but I didn't listen

I have been coming here strictly for Lily, and she truly is the best. She’s quick, kind and so talented. Although I have sent friends to others in the salon. I never Regret it. It’s clean, and everyone is always so kind.

Very clean and professional team, lily is very amazing and professional she always do my nails and any design i ask for! She is the BEST. Heard a lot about this place and thought I’d give it a try since it’s close to home and a few other friends go here as well. I was introduced to Lilly and she’s been my nail tech since. The nails look good however they didn't last longer then 8 days I got told to come down to get them fixed got there and they refused to fix them. Horrible service won't go back

Paid $40 for them to do plain colours because they couldn’t do a basic design. It felt very rushed and the nail polish was put on poorly, it didn’t even go to the edges of my nails. There are way better places to go to then them.

You NEED to get your nails done by Lily! She is absolutely amazing. I showed her a photo of what I wanted and she knew exactly what to do and what color I needed! She’s a perfectionist and so good at her art! I’m definitely always going to be booking with Lily from now on!:)

I did there a shellac manicure but after a week one nail is removed,
Although usualyy stay for at least three weeks, So I went there to repair it because I had a party
They told me no appointment They can't do that and they ignore me instead of do it.
I went to another place They did it and took only 5 minutes.

Today went in at 7: 00 PM for manicure and pedicure and My Le stayed till 8: 40 PM and did the best nails I've ever done! She was so welcoming, inviting approachable, and nice. I highly recommend! Will definitely come again soon!

I actually just recently started coming to Urban nail bar after hearing so much about Lily from all my friends. And let me tell you the hype was realshe is absolutely AMAZING! I have never had a nail tech i connected with so fast and someone who understands what i want for my nails every single time. Usually for my other nail techs i had before, they never understood the straight nail shape i wanted, but the second i told her she worked her magic. She truly is so wonderful! Highly recommend! Not even lily but the nail salon itself is amazing, always clean and the staff is so so friendly and inviting

I’ve been a customer of Urban Nail Bar since they opened and I usually get great service. The min I arrived I informed them that I wanted a Mani and pedi and was ushered to a pedi station. Unfortunately the water was scalding in the foot bath, when I let the tech know she made the water freezing cold. I am not usually an assertive person and decided to not say anything. My nail tech began a very animated conversation with another nail tech and I was asked if I could move to another pedi station. The station was then cleaned up for a white man who was promptly seated. I was very confused as to why I was asked to move stations. Shortly after the nail tech began with the pedicure, my nails were barely tended to, and my legs were rubbed quickly with scrub and within a couple minutes I was asked what nail colour I wanted. I looked around and noticed that all the white patrons who were there before me were still having their toes cleaned, I noticed that I was the only one given a less than 4 min experience. At this point the nail tech remarked on my finger nails which I keep short, that they were really short and laughed. At that point, I felt very uncomfortable about the whole experience and very unwelcome. I notified the nail tech I no longer wanted colour and would not be finishing my manicure, she appeared surprised and began to ask if I wanted cream on my toes, I said no thank you. And I quickly paid 35 dollars for my toe nails just to be cut. This whole experience felt demoralizing as a woman of colour, I would suggest that anyone who isn’t white find another place to do their nails, as your business is not appreciated!

Got acrylic nails done. Lady who did nails made two of my fingers bleed trying to remove old nails. Obviously did not know what she was doing. I removed the ones on other hand myself to save time and pain. She was slow and appeared to be having trouble doing them. Salon is not clean, I was grossed out and would never return. To make things worse three days later pinky nail fell off. And is expensive

I have been going here for a while now and I absolutely love it! Lily does a perfect job every time and can do exactly what I show in a photo. Highly recommend!

I am appalled with the services by Le today. She shamed and belittled an 11 year girl for having short nails. Verbally compared her to other girls at the salon and continued to make her feel ugly and small and worthless because of her short nails. My daughters friend was crying with her head hung low after she saw Le. It broke my heart in half to see a kid from being so excited to feeling so low.

I took my daughter and her best friend to Urban Nail Bar to get birthday Manicures. It was suppose to be a fun happy feel good experience. We immediately felt rushed. Le did not give them any time of day. Pressured them to pick a color, when I asked her for gems she replied with we don't do that. Only sparkles. My daughters friend was in and out in less than 10 minutes. At this point I was already very disappointed. I could tell my daughters friend was not loving her nails. She showed me, it was messy and looked like a toddler did it. I was calm and asked it to be cleaned up. After my daughter's friend came back she was visibly upset and broken. She broke down crying explaining the horrible experience to me. She told me Le told her over and over her nails were not good. I was horrified someone could make someone feel so ashamed in 10 minutes. My daughter is now sad about her nails and is hiding them from her best friend because she doesn't want her friend to feel compared too or less then. So the nice trip to the salon left in both girls feeling sad in totally different ways

I’m just gonna leave this pic here as a I do not like to just talk and talk about how horrible my nails turned out, but rather just let you be the one to judge from a picture of my results if you think it’s a good job or not. By the way this isn’t the first time this happens last time the shellac had bubbles and one popped and it oozed the shellac that was not cured properly underneath and was left with a small hole, this happened the first day of getting it done, so got them to fix it but before that the lady suggested to just file it, Which I told her no because if You file it is gonna get rid of the shine and it won’t fix anything as there is a small hole that goes all the way to my nail ‍️ So it is frustrating that you pay and they mess up but don’t want to fix their mistake. Therefore, I am leaving this review as I gave them another try but seeing how they do not care if they do a good job or not but very fast at taking my money, then I should be able to warn others about this. Definitely learned my lesson will not be going back and will stop referring my friends here.

The guy who does my nails here is the best! He kept checking in to make sure everything was good and always does such a great job while being super gentle. Very professional & clean here aswell! I highly recommend.:)

I have been going to this salon for nail services for quite some time and have always had a very pleasant experience! I often just come as a walk in because my work schedule always changes, however I do like to call to inquire about times. Today, I called and the lady I spoke with told me to come in for 12pm. On a previous date, I had acrylic nails put on, and had asked for those to be removed and to get shellac put on. Two ladies removed the fake acrylic nail with a new acrylic nail piece as to ‘pop off’ or scrape off the fake stuff on my natural nail. This hurt quite a bit, and one nail started to bleed. Because of this method, my weak nails underneath got torn and broken and some of my nails were unable to be shaped correctly afterwards. In addition, one hand’s polish was uneven and lumpy, and not smooth. When I told them this, they said that because they took off the acrylic nails, my own nails underneath were bumpy (I thought they had tools to fix rough nails?). This was just an overall terrible experience because:
1.) the removal method was painful
2.) my nail was bleeding and was not acknowledged
3.) my one hand was uneven and was only fixed when I brought it up and was then given a third coat, but after being given a weak excuse
4.) my nails couldn’t be shaped correctly
5.) I don’t even think that the one nail cured correctly, because it looked like there was gunk on it, and when she brought over some product to wipe it, it just made it streaky and although not very noticeable, it’s imperfect.

I’m just very disappointed with today’s visit, as i was expecting beautiful nails and I think they now just look rushed and as though I wasn’t a valued customer.

My mom and I went for pedicures last weekend. Mom's pedicure was definitely better than mine - my technician forgot to do my cuticles on one foot, and my foot massage was less than half the amount of time it took to do mom's. My technician didn't do a basecoat OR a topcoat on my polish, and had to leave me for a few minutes to fix something for her previous client. Mom said Jenny (her technician) gave a wonderful pedicure, start to finish, though!

This is a true North side gem. I always have a great experience here and the staff are always friendly and the salon is clean and covid precautions are taken

I am really disappointed. I did a manicure and it was the worst I ever had. The women who did my nails were in a hurry and decided to shape them her way without asking me, also she wasn’t gentle when she shaped my nails it was hurting me. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TiME AND MONEY, They are unprofessional and not clean at all.

I’ve been here twice now. The first time my pedicure was amazing & I was so excited to return! My second visit was great too but 2 days later the gel entirely chipped off the nail (with a hang nail that should’ve been trimmed at my appointment) & my heals look like they need to be filed again. I’m incredibly disappointed.

The staff are so welcoming as soon as I walk through the door. I really appreciate that. They do such a great job on my nails (fingers & toes). There's little to no wait time when I've booked an appointment! The salon is inviting and tastefully decorated, making it a very relaxing experience:)
