If you wonder why you don't see anyone happy at work besides the managers, it's because everyone is expendable and treated as such. Wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy

I would like to let you know that today is my second time having a bad experience in the store Urban planet Kingsway mall with the manager, and a cashier. They were really mean with us. Again, it was a second time that we feel that they don’t have a good customer services.

I like to go to buy my clothes there, but this is the second time I have a bad experience, because one of the cashier her name is Kayla o something like that, she is really mean and the supervisor is the same, I think they don’t like doing their job…

I bought 2 pairs of jeans from here, 3 weeks ago. I wore first pair, twice, which are also way too big for me. The zipper will NOT zip! Just put on second pair now, which fit perfect, the effing zipper will NOT budge! The store won't return them, because it's been 2 weeks! Now I have to get tailor to put new zippers in both pairs! $30 per zipper! Do not buy jeans at urban planet!

Lied about the price said 6.49 but it came to 10.49 argued with a girl but she didn't do anything to resolve the issue

I went with my friend for some new clothes (which I go there like two times a week) and I was wearing sunglasses and the worker followed up around and I stepped on a shirt that wa on the floor and she ran and said "Don't step on that" and rolled her eyes then as she was putting the shirt back she kinda whispered but not totally take you're sunglasses off in a rude attitude mind you this is a full grown adult she never said "hey we don't allow sunglasses can you take them off"? So how would I know they weren't allowed giving this place money is the worst mistake don't recommend

Cashiers stayed professional even after an older couple accused the cashier of double scanning items (she did not, the couple had put 9 pairs of pajamas and ended up buying 8), raised their voices and scattered the clothing over the counter.

Sometimes their prices are good and sometimes it's too much, what's with playboy on the men side it's like playboy is taking over I think it's too much. Not every men likes to wear that so they should cut down some of it.

Friendly employees, some nice cheap basic items I go there for. It smells really bad in there though, like it smells like a public bathroom.

I went with my friends a few days ago and browsed the store. We were being watched by an employee then followed, after we were asked if we were going to buy anything. A minute later mall security was there and didn't even talk to us, just watched us. We left the store afterwards, and shortly after security talked to the employee while watching us, they left too. I shop regularly here but this has never happened here.

I was asked to leave the store the other day because I had my baby niece in the stroller who was perfectly sleeping and then a worker gave me a dirty look and rudely asked me to leave. I am so offended by this because they assumed I was a teen mom or something and even if that was the case there’s nothing wrong with that!

I went to this store today and the worker there called the mall security and they were watching us and even asked if we were buying anything. This is racially motivated because all my friends are people of color and we did not do anything at all. We were literally just browsing around the store. This has been my favorite store so far but not anymore, not coming there again ever!

I absolutely enjoyed my shopping although it was a bit on the busy side but regardless you could not beat those prices anywhere. Overall the staff were very calm and collective they held it together amazingly.

No one to help on the sales floor and only 1 staff at the till. Lineup of 10 customers then someone came and helped. Saturday's should have more staff. Not sure if I will go back there again.

Not a bad layout, if you are looking for cheaper clothes at decent price's, this is the place to go. Staff are friendly and super helpful when they aren't on their phones. Was clean and sanitized between purchases. Could use a bit of an update.

They are having an everything on clearance sale. I bought over $100 in clothes and only paid $24.

My first impression was that the store was IMMACULATE. I walked in and someone told me where to find what I was looking for, they didn't have it in my size and they offered to call to another location. Awesome customer service and lots of selection. Love when people go the extra mile. Thanks guys.

I personally helped set up this location for it's opening, along with a LOT of great people.
The current manager of Kingsway Urban Planet (who had hired me to work at the City Centre location at that time) is AMAZING.
She will probably end up dying in an Urban Planet one day from drinking too many Monster Energy drinks to make it through yet another 70+ hour week.
I can say, without a shred of doubt in my mind, that she absolutely loves Urban and does not tolerate unprofessional/incompetent employees OR customers treating her people/store like garbage.
While a manager is the highest ranking employee generally on site and therefore the "most qualified" to deal with customer issues, one should definitely avoid demanding to speak to the manager of a clothing store.
It takes a LOT of hard work to keep stores running and in order especially when customers don't care whatsoever about how the BOGO 50% Off Leggings table looks when they walk away from it.
Or shamelessly leave WAY more than the MAXIMUM OF FIVE (5) ITEMS ALLOWED IN THE CHANGING ROOMS.
Take it from a previous retail worker, we are way too underpaid for how much y'all make us do so you should definitely reconsider insulting the employee that tells you "No, I can't take the outfit off the mannequin"
Or threatening the manager with boycotting their store location
You MIGHT end up being the soccer mom with the "Id like to speak the manager" haircut that gets told to take a hike.

Great selection and styles with very reasonable prices. Everyone there was very welcoming and helpful, I was greeted and treated very kindly by every employee I talked to. The store was very clean and organized, making it easy to find exactly what I was looking for. Definitely coming back to find some cute summer dresses, since they have such a large variety and summer is coming soon!

What a huge store with a huge selection! They have such great priced clothes and staff that helped me find my size in almost everything and if they didn’t have it they brought other options! Coming back for sure!

Having been to multiple Urban Planet locations, I specifically take my business to Kingsway despite other locations being more convenient. It is cleaner than other locations. I find the staff to be helpful, but not intrusive. When I couldn't find something, helpful alternatives were provided like which stores in Alberta carried the most product or looking online. For a fast fashion type of store, I don't expect that level of customer service. All in all, I'm happy shopper!

Great store and staff! Lots of selection! I like being able to shop for myself and my kids in one store. Manager is nice and helpful!
