Clean, well organized, a little pricey for a thrift store, but you can get a 20% discount coupon if you donate something to Value Village. The donation center is nearby, which is very convenient.

Great location with plenty of options to choose from. Highly recommended if you're looking for cheap used furniture.
23 October 2023 13:17
It was packed with consumers. Lots of choose from. Slightly over priced on a few items. Bought a sweater and it was damaged. Gotta do a better inspection on items. Staff was friendly.

I took a quick look on the lady'shoes and I notice many beautiful and great shape boots.
The area for Halloween costumes was well organized.
Store was clean.

The store looked nice and organised but I think it was a bit pricey compared to some other thrift stores. Plus they didn't have a fitting room. Was told customers had 7 days to return goods. Not bad for a policy but it is also time-consuming for customers who would like to return goods especially clothes that don't fit.

Nice store, lots of space and pretty good selection. If you can make it past 30 mins listening to all the screeching, then good for you.

Had a great experience shopping here this weekend, people were friendly and helpful.store was busy and heaps of staff on:)

Great place for those who just arrived in Canada and have an empty apartment!
Lots of household appliances, electric kettles, toasters, coffee machines, blenders and a grill. Hair dryers, irons, lamps, furniture, tables, chairs, chests of drawers and children's toys
Computers, printer, scales and many many useful things

There are self-checkouts! I recommend

Not the best prices for used merchandise. I cant believe that they don't have changerooms that is crazy. The bathrooms are also locked and you have to ask them to open the door for you. I guess they are worried about people stealing the merchandise they got for free.

On approx Tues May 23 my son and I dropped off several items at this location. Three days later I realized I accidentally included a wallet with a substantial amount of money in it. I called the store and explained and the associate said she would share with the manager. A couple hours later I decided to go into the store. I spoke to the store Manager Amy. As I was telling my story another associate spoke up and said they have the money! Amy went to bat for me and instead of having to wait 6 weeks for a cheque to be mailed to me, I was able to return to the store the next morning for the cash!
What an amazing experience this was. Amy, you not only have the cleanest, well merchandised Value Village in the city but your staff is amazing! Your associate who discovered the money turned it in and that speaks volume as to the person he/she is.
I believe there are more honest and good people in this world than bad and this associate just confirmed what I believe. Thank you Amy and staff for all you do!

Depends on what you're looking for, really.
Not much for DVDs, but excellent with Books.
Clothing is great selection

They have good selection and lots of turn over of products but some the the prices for second hand clothing is way too much. Some t-shirts are as much as new ones in the mall if you find a sale or a 2 for 1 deal. You just have to be aware and look through everything for the deals.

This facilities manager named Kathy is a joke, horrible customer service from her. The cashier we had was absolutely wonderful though 5 Stars for her!
16 July 2022 5:00
The finds at this place can be absolutely amazing, the only thing I dislike is how rude the manager can be to customers and staff
01 July 2022 14:19
Great shoe selection but everything is horribly overpriced. Security guard also profiles people and only requests that some people leave their backpacks with them. If backpacks aren't allowed in the store, neither should purses.
17 June 2022 8:39
No change rooms and no refunds (exchange only). Other thrift stores have lower prices, have change rooms, allow refunds, or are at least a charity to justify high prices. The quality of clothing can be poor, really worn down, faded in color, or stained, so make sure to inspect it. Lower quality items would be fine if they weren't priced so high. The place is clean and has washrooms. There are a few items that are worth the price, that is if you have the time to look and don't need to try it on. I find it's not worth my time running to and from home just to see if something fits.

Probably the best V. V I have visited yet. So much selection, cleaner than others I've been in, and it is big enough that it's not always packed shoulder to shoulder.
02 May 2022 20:41
It's a thrift store where all the product is donated and no longer do they try to masquerade as a charity or community supporter, they have fully embraced the for profit model and are blatant about telling you with their pricing. Unfortunately, if you find anything that has potential value, guaranteed you will be looking at pricing that reflects near original retail. I have encountered items that were originally at the dollar store, still have the price stickers on them and value village has repriced these items for more than the original dollar store price. You won't find much, very often any more, as far as a bargain or good value.

This must be one of the larger stores that they have because it had a lot of items and a lot of shelving. It was a great selection of items, and even though I ended up not buying anything it was still fun to look through.

I periodically give away my unwanted items to this store. Usually the staff is very friendly. But I notice that the cost of things they sell is much higher than in other thrift stores, and today I had an unpleasant experience with the manager. I was wondering if he thought the price of $60+tax for a short silver chain with small sapphires was too high. He said that he don’t really understand jewelry, but these stones were obviously precious and he saw no reason to lower the price, and put the jewelry back in place without asking me if I still want to buy it and just left. This communication seemed very rude to me and left an unpleasant aftertaste, I felt like an unwanted client who they don’t want to waste time on. Fortunatly, we have a lot of options of thrift stores in Calgary, so for the future I'll pick to another store with better customer service.
And I'd agree with Cody Stobbe, please donate your clothes and items to thrift stores that actually help the communities they are in. Good Neighbour is the best option since it’s pay what you can.

This store is huge and it's stocked with good items in every department I assume because it's new. Hopefully it stays that way. Found some interesting treasures here! Store was clean but it's new and staff was friendly. This is my favorite one in the city now. *EDITED* to add that it's not so great anymore. It's messy, dirty and not that much great stuff, mostly junk as in garbage junk.it had so much potential!: (

Such a clean and organized value village! Was able to find drive good deals, like a ski jacket, a pot roast pan and some hiking pants.

Large selection as well!

Great shopping today, lots of vintage clothing items and new clothing with tags on them. Many staff putting out clothing, clean washrooms. No change rooms. Huge parking lot, accessable.
20 January 2022 2:48
I enjoy thrifting here however the prices can be more than what they should be. Tuesday's are for seniors at 30% off so it's the better day to go.

Quick visit, other shoppers trying to get something and get out. Practically everything is there Low and Middle income favorite

First time at this new location. Very impressed with this store. Bright, organized with a large layout. Parking ample and easy to get in and out.
27 December 2021 8:52
Store is well laid out, and fairly clean. However, markup on some things was really bad - for used items, they should not be this expensive. This stuff is second hand, not lost treasure.
20 December 2021 2:12
Value Village store was well lit and tidy. The surfaces were fully sanitized. This place is great for anyone believing in the power of community, frugality and ecofriendly living. You will find books, kitchen appliances, stationery, clothing, toys, jewelry, all under one roof. Give it a try by donating and also buying.
04 December 2021 12:48
It seems to have better merchandising than other Value Village I've been, however prices are high for a second hand store
08 March 2021 10:13
Adding this location to my thrift haul! Friendly staff and great prices on items. Everything is clean and organized. Their location is huge and so much stuff on the floor.
23 February 2021 17:20
I've noticed something at this Value Village. The prices are higher on many things. Similar items found at other value villages such as Chinook area and Midpore are cheaper and by cheaper I mean more then most thrift stores but cheaper then Southland. Is it because this location is new and they figure they can do this? Probably. However, if that is so then this is bad for business and just plain greedy! We all get you have bills to pay but don't forget you con millions of people globally per year under the guise of being a charity. Value Village is for profit and gets its merchandise for free. Period.

I personally have already decided not to add this location to my regular thrift run for at least a year because of these over priced items. Nice looking store though.
23 February 2021 5:11
The store itself is huge and has a really good selection of items. Not a lot of furniture. The pricing needs a little work. I saw 6 ikea Trygg bowls and everyone had a different price ranging from $3.99 to $7.99.the bowl can be purchased for $2.99 at ikea. Like any 2nd hand shopping, make sure you know the value of an item prior to purchasing.

Please, before you go to value village visit your local strip mall or other stores etc.

You can go to Marshall's or winner's you will buy a brand new Michael kors shirt for 13 to 15 bucks.

If you go to value village you will find the same shirt as USED with a tag price 18 bucks.

It doesn't makes any sense.
13 February 2021 3:34
New store, huge kitchen ware isle. Prices are creeping up a lot on jeans and dress shirts. Still a bargain on hidden gems.
28 January 2021 3:43
I understand the reasoning for not allowing change rooms right now. But the stores should work better with you regarding returns. You can only exchange items in store on the spot. They won't even give a store credit. So honestly if you don't want to have ti go back to the store 3+ times than wait until change rooms are open again. However, I honestly just suggest you support a small local thrift shop instead. Value village couldn't care less about their customers. I'm not speaking about staff, but the company themselves. I wrote an email to them just asking to either extend my exchange date so I could wait until I could try items on or provide an in store credit to which both the manager in person and the email I received back from their head office basically scoffed at and sent me on my merry way.
We are already going through enough so I hate writing this review.
I want to be clear that the staff there were SO helpful. They wanted to provide a store credit because even they saw that this policy is backwards, but needed a managers approval.
So, long story short, don't waste your time.
24 January 2021 2:21
Clean and well organized, the staff was also friendly and I was able to find some nice clothing
